“He looks like a creepy gym teacher” My old world geography teacher (keep that in mind for later) was also the girls’ basketball coach. He agreed with Andrew Tate’s ideologies, which creeped me out. He was a FLAT-EARTHER who had a full-on debate with the class and that one police officer that roamed the halls. He was an asshole, which didn’t help. UPDATE: This semester I got a biology teacher that’s an anti-masker. He refused to wear a mask anywhere during the height of the pandemic. He made a list of any place that kicked him out and will not let his family go there anymore.
Him being a flat earther and teaching world geography gives me the same vibes as my current stats teacher. He believes that climate change "isn't that bad". Like, you of ALL PEOPLE-

The only thing offensive about door holding is when a man refuses to walk through a door being held open by a woman simply because she's a woman. Also complimenting a woman- general rule is if you wouldn't say it to your mom/grandma, don't say it to random women/colleagues. For your friends or SO, I'd hope you would have communicated enough to know their boundaries or what is appropriate.
This happens to me all the time. I work in an office building and I always hold the door open for people no matter who it is. But a lot of older men who work in the same building will literally open the other door and not acknowledge me at all. Or they will take the door I’m holding and make me walk through first. Like what the hell im just trying to be polite they make it weird.
I’ve never heard that, but it’s brilliant and so easy to understand. I need to remember it next time someone says “you can’t even give a female a compliment anymore or you’ll catch a harassment charge”. If you wouldn’t say it to your mom/grandma, it’s inappropriate. Also: multiple times in my life men have gotten upset with me for holding the door for them.
Lmfao that reminds me of a time I held a door open for a lady and she got mad bc she wanted to be independent, no I’m not assuming I literally hear her talking to her daughter afterwards about how men are trying to take women’s independence by doing stuff for them 🧍 like… 😭
Apparently soy contains a high amount of phyto-estrogens, which are chemically similar to human estrogen. They’re different enough, however, that they have no actual estrogen activity in humans. But you know what has a lot of ACTUAL estrogen, as in, the exact same hormone that’s in humans? Milk and dairy. But they don’t talk about that do they :)
@@stupidass69420 Yep, almost all the ingredients in most beers have phyto-estrogens, Wheat? Yep. Barley? Abso-fucking-lutely. Hops? Extremely so. In fact hops probably has more phytoestrogens than Soy does.
The whole thing about a “genuine compliment” is so dumb. It’s fine if a guy wants to say to a woman (or anyone else) “you look nice today”. Just keep it moving! Don’t use it as an excuse to keep talking to her. Then it’s not a compliment, it’s an opener that you’re using to try to get something. It’s only weird when they say something sexual or comment on your body or a specific body part. Anything else is fine? Lol
Completely! If someone is uncomfortable about a compliment, it's because you were weird about it. The answer is to treat people like people, no exceptions
Yeah these a holes apparently don't get that a compliment is supposed to make the receiver of said compliment feel good. Not feed into their own egos or personal agendas. If you do something "nice" with ulterior motives, it's not being nice.
@Is At Sea I completely agree with your stance. As a person who’s experienced SH/SA I want to provide this take: It took me months to feel comfortable walking around my college campus alone because of the SH, and while I get that men can also be SA/SH, it’s a lot less likely. So don’t randomly go up to a woman, especially if they are being short with their answers. All in all, read body language. It’s fine to compliment people, but don’t just randomly be like: I like your boobs- or start cat calling. It’s disgusting and uncomfortable to the ppl on the receiving end. (I’ve had friends talk about being cat called as minors- it’s so gross and upsetting that they had to deal with that shit.)
i mean the military does genuinely perform synchronized dance routines as an intimidation tactic, funny as that sounds. just like a strict uniform, it's a way of showing they're disciplined and well-trained. military people are required to swing around their little sticks and step in rhythm with the precision of a ballet dancer and they're peak masculinity but god forbid you perform a little jig for any other reason
He also said it's okay to for men to literally castrate themselves, if that's what God wants them to do (Matt 19:12). I legit finally decided to defy my church and do my own research into LGBTQ theory, because even as a brainwashed Evangelical, I felt like that verse gave me permission to give up on the idea that it's necessary to "be a man".
That guy looks like the misogynistic gym teacher that would announce your weight in front of the whole gym class, the gym teacher that would be excited for swim because he wants to see people in their swimsuits.
These alpha males absolutely confuse me about what qualities it takes to be alpha or beta. If "betas are taking over" but they lack qualities like leadership and being assertive and I dunno being pushy or whatever, aren't those alpha qualities?
But also if all men should try to be alpha men... who's the leader of all those alpha men? Aren't they just betas when they're listing to 'other' alpha guys???
This is straight out of the fascist playbook. "The enemy must always be simultaneously weak and subhuman while being ever-present and running everything. It all depends on what narrative best suits the situation at the time."
"The firearm has saved millions of lives and saved entire countries" Okay Reid, how many lives do you think it ended? How many of those lives were innocent? And how many countries were colonized and subjugated with firearms? Hm?
Also, they live in the past. Even if people once did use them to protect themselves . . . Now, people just use them to murder people and other animals. It’s not a necessary tool in life.

As a "gun hating liberal", I still think people deserve the right to have guns. Within reason, obviously. The only big difference between me and them is wanting more universal background checks.
I’m for guns being taken away completely but it has to be done over decades and decades because if we were take them away all at once, these brainless bags of flesh would LITERALLY start a civil war lol we just got to keep pushing slowly
I’m against all guns. Honestly, background checks if done by the cops, would be bias. An example is that kid who made a RUclips video threatening to kill women. The family called the police. They saw that he was a white man and let him keep his guns. Then he murdered some women. So the police should have been charged because they knew he had guns and let him keep them after he threatened to kill women. I n on ow cops hate women, but there was a legitimate threat they ignored. They also let men who abuse their wives keep guns. If background checks were done by other people (not cops), that would be best.
12:33 that chemical is phytoestrogen. it is a type of estrogen, but because we aren't plants, it doesn't effect our estrogen levels. dairy, on the other hand, DOES, because it has actual mammalian estrogen that we can process.

Honestly, I have nothing against the majority of people IN the military. A majority of them have been manipulated into thinking it's their only option at a good future. A friend of mine is in basic right now and last night we hung out with her and she cried and cried about how bad it was and how much she's missed everyone. All just so she can afford to go to college. The US military as an entity though? Fuck em.
Absolutely! I feel as though most people hate the military system, not those who are forced into it. It really is a poverty draft- people enduring literal torture just to have basic human rights like education? Awful. Hate the military, not the soldiers. Tell your friend that they've got this, and it's okay to struggle. People are here for them, and care about them.
There are so many videos of people being asked “what would they say to your recruiter?” And all respond with “fuck you” or “why did you lie”. I have a family member of mine going into the military soon and it’s really sad to see people close to me be indoctrinated
This is a general rule I heard on how to compliment women without being creepy. Compliment on what she has choosen, not on what she can't change. EX. A women in a work inoform didn't choose to wear that, she has to. so complimenting her on that is creepy. A women in the park wearing her favorite skirt will love a compliment on it, because she choose to waer it. Another example Complimenting a women on her eyes is creepy becuase those are just her eyes, she doesn't really have a choice on how they look Complimenting a woman on her eye makeup is good becuase she spent time putting it on not only becuase she wants to but also it compliments her.
You could compliment someone on their eyes in a non-creepy way by saying "Wow your outfit really brings out the color in your eyes!" Then you are both saying that her eyes look nice but that she also put in thought and effort into her appearance.
@solosynapse you could compliment their dress in a significantly less creepy way by saying "that dress looks good on you" bc it's not focusing specifically on their body, but on them as a person. It's less objectifying.

Lol, if anything it's the insurance companies getting rid of dodge ball. When I worked for Girl Scouts almost every game that was banned was banned because the organization couldn't afford the insurance coverage required to play it. I imagine it's the same for schools.
That's so weird to me as a German. I never even thought about insurance like that. My kids play so many things like that in school and every child activity group. Even in Kindergarten they did that, even if only with the older kids (like 2nd and 3rd year of Kindergarten). Do they get hurt? Sure. But they are kids. One of my kids broke their arm in preschool. They were the only who had to go and thus went to a different primary school as only the big primary schools have preschools. The school was big and had a big playing ground and they climbed something and fell. We just went to the hospital and got it treated. I never wondered if my insurance paid or the schools. It's not like you get a bill. But I'll look into how it works, could be useful knowledge.
@@evem6154 having been born and raised American, I'm shocked that y'all were so relaxed about the broken arm. I broke my arm as a kid as well and hid it from the teachers because I didn't want my parents to have to spend the money on the ER visit. I just knew hospitals were expensive and crunchy arm needs hospital. I think that's part of why so many Americans freak out about certain dangerous sports, injuries are expensive as hell.
@@doodlydungeon8576 I mean, a broken arm is annoying, especially with a small child, but I didn't pay anything. Here, everyone is insured, period. The only thing I paid for was gas and getting the kid some glitter pens to doddle on the cast with. I think that's a big reason our sentiment towards kids injuring themselves slightly or breaking an arm is more 'that's a hassle but they gotta learn🤷🏼♂️'. I have four kids. All of them hurt themselves playing at some point. But that's an important part of learning about the world imo. They learn natural consequences early on. And then they adapt their behavior. It makes them more thoughtful about what consequences their behavior could have, too. I did look into it though and my kids are insured through school like anyone is through their work for accidents. It's called Unfallversicherung, accident insurance. It's automatic and paid for by the school or the boss and will pay any medical bills you get from having a work related accident or an accident on the way to or from work. So it's not even medical insurance that's paying here that's only for private accidents or other issues.
Just a red flag that 1) they believe in pseudoscience and/or conspiracy theory nonsense, and 2) they're compensating because they want to be an "alpha male" _so bad._
All I can ever think of when people do that is "You're a beta male sonic". Along with the fact that the person who published the study on wolf behavior that all this talk is based on has retracted it citing flawed methodology.

“He looks like a creepy gym teacher”
My old world geography teacher (keep that in mind for later) was also the girls’ basketball coach.

Or when you are super far away from the door and they just stand there waiting and you feel the need to speed walk
Instructions unclear I accidentally asked coworker to pop my huge pimple on my ass/j my family is really close
The actual estrogen in cows milk is biologically inactive. Literally the first link in google when you look it up
I’m pretty sure beer does too lmao, Yknow, the “manly man drink”

These alpha males r the epitome of the “nice guy”
@Is At Sea I completely agree with your stance.
As a person who’s experienced SH/SA I want to provide this take:
It took me months to feel comfortable walking around my college campus alone because of the SH, and while I get that men can also be SA/SH, it’s a lot less likely.
Me saying this- I’m not saying you specifically are going up to ppl and doing this. I’m just stating in general.

As a "gun hating liberal", I still think people deserve the right to have guns. Within reason, obviously. The only big difference between me and them is wanting more universal background checks.
Yea, the alt-right want mass shooters & literal domestic terrorists to have guns, but not anyone with proper training and responsibility.
Yes. We want gun control. Not gun ban. But that's so typical Conservative thinking. To them, it's all or nothing.

Finally!! A smart take on this issue. Thanks
Is the dairy thing still true if you’re lactose intolerant?
@@bobsburgers8497 being lactose intolerant means you can't handle the lactose in milk, not that your body can't absorb the other nutrients and hormones in milk
@@bobsburgers8497 lactose intolerant means that you do not have enough of the enzyme lactase in your guts, so you won't digest milk at all leading to problems
if you buy lactase tablets or lactose-free milk, i think it will work the same as if you weren't intolerant and had normal milk
Fuck em.
"They woke us up with bombs" "I have to eat all of my meals with my left hand because of discipline"
Another example
Complimenting a women on her eyes is creepy becuase those are just her eyes, she doesn't really have a choice on how they look
Complimenting a woman on her eye makeup is good becuase she spent time putting it on not only becuase she wants to but also it compliments her.
Exactly! But also don't bring their body into it. "I like your hair" is good, "I like the way that dress fits your body" is not.

Same reason why merry go rounds and such were removed from school playgrounds
