CAUTION!! At the top of page 37 in the ReSound OMNI RIE user manual, under "Cleaning and Caring for Your Hearing Aids," it reads: CAUTION: • Never use alcohol or other cleaning solutions to clean your hearing aids. This can damage your hearing aids and may cause a skin reaction. So I wouldn't use alcohol wipes to clean ReSound hearing aids if I were you!
Judy Taya then you were ripped off I have had 2 visits to my audiologists and on both occasions, I was provided with wax filters and I have only had these hearing aids for 2 weeks go back to your hearing aid provider and ask for them. I did not have to ask for mine they were just given to me.
I didn't either; I had to ask for them, which my Audiologist grudgingly provided... when I asked for the domes, she said I had to pay for them -- $1 per dome. My previous audiologist provided not only the filters, she gave me batteries, cleaning kit, a little storage container, anything I needed. I think since Covid hit and prices went up, they've stopped giving out freebies.
At 81, I just got these hearing aids. But first got my ears flushed out. Could not get the cleaning part right. Your video was great
Thank you, I was stressing over how to do this and you made it so simple. Very grateful.
Did any one say how often one changes the wax filter ?
I change my Mom’s once a month. You can also wash the larger dome part every few weeks and/or replace the domes a couple times every year.
How often should I change my wax filter?
