    Thank you for your review. I am one of those people who was due for hearing aids so this is where I landed. I just ordered Nexia 5 (wish I could afford the 9s).

    I have them and an Android S24 Ultra device . I have had handsfree speach without the phone being next to my face.

    Great presentation! Thank you. I just got Omnia9 with BTE microphone, not RIE. I was told these cannot use the premium charger. I absolutely need a portable charger; that’s why I like disposable batteries.
    What are my options?
    Are RIE good enough for profound hearing loss?

    When will Nexia be available for the Custom hearing aids?

    Love your videos been watching most of them! I think the key in todays day and age with these videos is you have to keep them somewhat short which you do, I don't watch the long ones! Would you say this is one of the best units to hear conversations in noisy environments or would you recommend another brand/model.

      Appreciate the kind words! It’s a good question. I think this comes down to what kind of sound you like. On a purely technical level NEXIA is the crispest and clearest option I’ve tried. It can also be a bit more intense or sharp for sensitive ears. I find Signia more smooth and mellow but also effective.

    How much thinner is the nexia? The previous version is very bulky.

    A local seller of these positioned 3 levels of this Resound Nexia micro rei, adding costs at each level for what was explained to be enhanced capabilities to filter out the background noise. Are there different models at different price points for this hearing aid? Might they be selling the same unit but enabling features along the tiers to justify added cost? For example, $2500 good pair, better $3500 pair and best $4500 pair, all called Resound Nexia micro rei. Thx

      This is normal. The manufacturer sets the tech levels for the product and the audiologist prices then accordingly. Here is a blog post on the topic www.soundly.com/blog/hearing-aid-technology-levels you can also see the differences between levels for
      Nexia specifically here www.soundly.com/product/resound-nexia the performance will be similar in most settings but in high background noise you might hear a difference. Hope this helps!

    Question - whether Bluetooth LE will be available for Omnia 9 giving the fact, that Nexia and previous model use the same app?

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  6 месяцев назад

      I don't believe it will. Bluetooth LE has to be built into the hardware so, to my knowledge, only NEXIA and forward will have the features.

    Hello there. I just got equipped a few weeks ago with Resound Nexia. I am using an iphone15 and I am happy with most of the product features. The streaming sound quality is average but OK for open audio device. However I have noticed a real degraded quality for phone calls with a lot of distortion (that is not present for other multimedia streaming). I am still in the trail phase and I am now considering evaluating another device because of this issue which remains unexplained for Resound support in France but is not acceptable in this price range... Have you heard of any similar issue by other users?

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  6 месяцев назад

      Interesting. I have not had that experience! Makes me wonder if the unit is defective in some way. You could try unpairing and re-pairing the devices. In general I find that media streaming and calls sounds the same.

    • @TheRealAlyssaD
      @TheRealAlyssaD 6 месяцев назад

      Even on Android neither I nor the person on the other end can hear each other. The one time they could hear me it was heavily distorted and cut out frequently and I still couldn't hear them. Streaming is impossible because one or both hearing aids drop out at least once a minute and eventually they both drop permanently. Have tried re-pairing, same result. Funny thing is their support team said my phone is compatible. Definitely not. Also a note on Bluetooth range, my right HA only reconnects if phone is within 1 foot of it and my left about 2 feet.

    How is the Nexia 9 the same or different than the new Jabra Enhance Pro 20 (from Costco)?

      The ReSound phone app is one of the best out there. Very intuitive. We aren't planning a direct side-by-side but you can compare the two side by side at soundly.com if you'd like

      NEXIA is not yet available in the higher powered BTE models. For that you will have to go with last years model, ReSound OMNIA.

    Hey @HearSoundly, at 5:05 you mentioned that hands-free call is only available for iPhone. But the Samsung S23, is capable of streaming via the LE-audio (LC3), and Nexia supports 2-way call via LC3 as well :)

      Receiver in canal with a custom encased receiver might work but your audiologist will be best equipped to answer that question with the specifics of your loss. Many people with profound loss do end up with BTE style devices due to power requirements

    • @user-oj8lu1ij2k
      @user-oj8lu1ij2k 8 месяцев назад

      Thank you. That seems to be the case. The power BTEs are only rechargeable. They can’t even use the premium chargers which store some power and can be used on the go.
