"If a cockroach is in a sewer and then 10 minutes later is on a lunch counter in a restaurant, you can imagine that it's transferring some pretty nasty things from one place to another," Dr. Jim Fredericks of the National Pest Management Association tells us.
So, how do you keep your home free of cockroaches? And can cockroaches really survive a nuclear attack? Pest expert Dr. Jim Fredericks explains.

Quick answer: No, a cockroach cannot survive the blast of an explosion, but they have a higher chance of surviving the aftermath of a nuclear blast.

They actually have a strong immune system, rendering most poisons useless. They also have a diverse diet that can make the harshest places habitable.

I found a cockroach in the microwave once and just to try it out I closed the microwave door and turned it on. The cockroach was completely fine.
Microwaves don't evenly distribute the EM waves. The little guy was probably sitting on a cold spot. If it was a hot spot, its body water would boil and decompose tissues, no matter how resistent it is.

Salt.
I use salt on a lay over cockroach before it moves it leg and arms and look like it is a very painful death.
Not the initial blast, but the radiation since the cockroach is slower than humans in terms of cell lifecycle length.

I was at my friends house, then I was going to the washroom and I opened the toilet seat. And saw around a hundred cockroaches. (They has gathered up since they were on Vacation and I was also with them)

then my friend and his mom came running in.

Then some lemon juice, vinegar, baking Soda, and big repellent. Killed them all.
