Cockroaches 1. Are pests that literally LOVE to hang around humans, and will eat your food, and scatter their poop and bacteria all over your home. 2. Are fucking FAST. Like, turn on the lights and they scatter like hell spawn. 3. Will crawl on you. 4. Will FLY AT YOU.
Spiders are just lone hunters trying to catch some tasty bugs. They don't want your food and are terrified of you. They will only bite you if you accidentally sit on/step on/squash them. Also, spider webs are really marvelous creations. And some spiders are super colorful and have intricate markings.

I don't understand why some people are so scared and disgusted by roaches. They do whatever they can to stay away from people. They are merely seeking a food source. I always get them on a piece of paper and shoe them outside where they will be much happier:) They only tend to come out during the wee hours of the night to avoid us while they search for food. They only remain out for 3-4hrs and will go back into hiding. If you see them during the daytime it's because they think it's safe to be out and that they will not run into you.

I'm with you on this one. I hate how people don't do any research and immediately have a false sense of entitlement to just wish death upon anything that isn't universally 'cute and cuddly'. Ignorance is the biggest cancer of this world. I understand phobias, but a lot of people say they hate insects because it's a societal norm. That's pretty sad. These insects are the glue that hold this planet together (literally), have lived on this earth for billions of years and we bully the crap out of them and kill them every chance we get, because we're 'superior' humans. It just irritates me. It's hypocrisy at its finest.

The thing that scared me the most was when I was driving down a road doing 55mph and and it was cold out at like 9:00 at night so I had the heat on. And then out of my dashboard out of the corner of my eye near the windshield by the steering wheel out comes some bug. And it was a cockroach and I freaked out. First thing I did was a open my window then I quickly just smacked it thinking it went out. And then after like 10 seconds of thinking "Ok it's gone put the window up" I look over and see it just sitting on the window. Well now on the screen the part where the window is in where you could rest your arm if it's down. So I had to hit it again. That time I saw it fly out the window.

I picked up a couple of tiny dubia roaches (they were feeder roaches) many months ago...they were super cheap and for some reason I wanted a bug to keep as a pet.
These guys have been so neat! They don't bite, so I don't have to deal with that fear, and they're FULL of personality haha. I find them super cute.
They were the size of my pinky nail when I got them, and now they're both nearly the size of my whole thumb! 1 of them is full grown now and is a female, while the other hasn't grown fully quite yet...SO hoping he'll be a male and that they'll mate and have babies.
The female hates to be handled or even touched...but the other one is cool and reminds me of a puppy lol. He doesn't mind being held, and he lets me pet him without trying to run (I think he's gotten use to it over the months).
No idea why I'm typing this here...heh...I've just fallen in love with the spoiled little brats. They are spoiled too! They dine on fruits and veggies (and baby food), get plenty of water/moisture, live in a large container with lots of places to hide and it's also filled with shredded up coconut husk they like to bury into during the day.
Fun, cheap, super easy to keep pets. Highly recommended! :)

I've gained a much better appreciation for cockroaches. Last night, I had a dream that I was one of many contestants traversing through a sci-fi maze. We made it to a zone where we sat on benches for a short break. During the break, I observed like five or more contestants that were a combination of humans and aliens from different planets. Whoever is reading this might be wondering, "What does your dream have to do with cockroaches?" Well, one of the contestants was a female human teenager who held a cockroach as big as a glasses case in her cupped hands. She decided to set the roach down on the ground and told it to greet me. I felt so happy when it was crawling all over my face, neck, and shoulders before returning to its owner. The break was cut short when the maze started to become dominated with red and white-striped snakes that came after us and I was glad that I woke up. It may have been a nightmare, but at least there was a moment of kindness.

Also, cockroaches were here millions of years before us and will probably be around millions of years after the last human dies. It would be more historically accurate to call humanity a pest animal that sometimes lives in cockroach territory.

Roaches infested my old house, I only lived there for the first 2 months of my life, and now I live in a two story house and my mom cleans the house daily, even the bathroom, she vacuums daily and cleans every corner, then we get home and do our chores, and we also have pest control come monthly so we see no pests, thank god
