This was a phenomenal horror game experience! The way they made sure that the monsters only appeared for a split second in the corner of your eye, to make sure you're always on your toes, was so well executed! You know they are there, always watching. The question is just, if they're gonna attack or not. It plays so much into out instincts for survival, and turns us into scared little animals. 10/10!
I imagine the ghost man standing there for 5 minutes, meticulously writing down what's on the paper and drawing a few cute lines on it and then suddenly running towards the main character, just so they don't have to talk to them because they have social anxiety or something.
My favourite part is that this guy sees all this freaky shit near the end and then he's like oh shit I need to get out and then casually walks. Dude RUN

Serious question- how do you forget to take your meds? I've been taking three different pills for around 2 years now and I haven't once forgotten 😭 I also take mine at night so Maybe that's why? I do it before I sleep as one of the pills is literally to put me to sleep so I guess that might be why lmao
@kayimsick7924 A lot of people take medications because of neurodivergence, their brains don't work like the vast majority of people so even if you've been taking medications for 20+ years (like me) it can slip your mind because you're so busy trying to remember everything else you need to do. Neurodivergent people cannot form habits like a neurotypical person. That means no matter how many times you do a thing, you need to THINK about it every time. You need to tell yourself to brush your teeth, take out the trash, feed the dog, and take your pills. Sometimes some of your pills need to be taken with food, so you put them in your pocket to take when you eat. Now you're not looking at them, so they don't exist anymore. You forget because by the time you've gotten food, sat down, and have done whatever else you forget they're in your pocket. You forget unless you're reminding yourself over and over. I've gotten better at it because I have an app on my phone that reminds me at certain times to take pills, bathe, even to eat because I'll forget that, too. So, even tho people take them at the same times everyday (I take both day and night medications) it doesn't stick as a habit because it can't. I hope this helps!
I believe the feelings of anticipation and anxiety come into play, making people feel extremely nervous that it makes them easy to startle (just a guess)

I think the ambience being full of noises that don't mean anything prevents any genuine build up of tension because it's just repeated breathing sounds and voices and nothing really stands out until there's a jumpscare. But aside from that it was decent.
@@Stick_and_stone definitely, its a pretty well made game with good sound design especially in terms of 3d sound but the repeated usage of them plus the fact a lot werent very original brought it down a bit but still very atmospheric lol
Sean staying true to turning around and missing jump scares, 11:12 Sean turned around in-game right as a silhouette walked in front of the illuminated window, I've seen others play this game and was expecting it
The movie you're talking about is spelled Gonjiam (곤지암) and it's based on a real asylum. Gonjiam Psychiatric Hospital in Gwangju-si. Lots of ghost stories and rumors around it shutting down like insane doctors and experiments. The real reason is a bit more mundane, but still sad; it was gross. They had huge problems with sanitation and sewage disposal to the point that the patients they were trying to care for got sicker, the owner fled the country, and the government finally shut it down in the 1990s.
This absolutely feels like walking down a haunted house, where random stuff is happening, people dressed as ghosts try to scare you, and all you can do is just to keep going until you find the exit door. Except that in this game, it's a real ghost (or subjects, I should say).

My father was my best friend, after he passed in 2010 I was so lost and spiraling. Playing video games and watching people like Seán also helped me get through it. (Though I didn't start watching Seán specifically until a couple of years ago.) I'm glad you are finding solace in watching videos like this and don't let anyone tell you how to grieve or how long to grieve for. Healing is messy, it's complicated, and it is never linear. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. May comfort find you when you most need it, and may his memory shine on through you always. I lost mine at 16, and I know how deep this can cut. You are in my heart.
The parts outside where Jack walks through branches looks so realistic. The way the light of the camera blows out against the wood, and you can see the dirt on the lens (5:20).

There really needs to be more horror games where the player character can interact with almost anything that could potentially help you and have it actually affect the game. It always bug me that your character in a incredibly scary situation can walk past hundreds of items that could be used as potential defenses that any realistic person would grab out of fear but the game won't let you pick them up. And imagine if there are several jump-scares that could actually be prevented by interacting with the proper objects such as blocking a path behind you with a bookshelf preventing something from sneaking up on you or picking up an axe so that in the final moments when the creature finally attacks you have a chance but if you forgot to grab the weapon you are doomed or end up in a worse situation in which you have to keep going to survive.
The ominous sounds in this game caused my blood to curdle! Seeing those creepy laboratory experiments running around and some even stalking you is tremendously terrifying!

Yeah UE5 makes this very accessible. It's the new normal, doesn't really deserve praise for the graphics. Indie horror in the past has always been more about the ambiance or story, with terrible graphics because of the low budget.
an urbex vlogger is someone who vlogs their urban explorations through usually abandoned buildings. If you want to watch some really good ones, I recommend The Proper People. So many people are not respectful of the history and integrity of the buildings, but those guys are really good at telling the history of the place, documenting the interesting stuff, but also doing as little possible damage to it as they can. I'd never be able to do urbex myself because I'm a whimp, so I'll continue watching on youtube 😅
I can’t tell you how much watching your videos changes my mood. You crack me up. But also, even if it hasn’t been mentioned on a video in awhile, PMA has really helped me be more aware of having a positive mental attitude and hearing you talk about it in past videos is amazing. You help lift moods and spread positivity, just by posting videos that make people laugh. I’m hoping to get some PMA merch when it’s back in stock, I love it. I love your content. Thank you for being you, Seán ☺️
I feel like I haven’t watched a playthrough this scary since the 2012 outlast/amnesia/indie-horror era and its honestly a weirdly nostalgic and welcome feeling ❤
Her content is great. She likes to look at every detail and find all scraps of lore available in a game. Her streams are good, too! She's plays horror games mostly, too! She's really down to earth and funny, too. Go check out her channel. I'd highly recommend it! Gab Smolders is her handle on RUclips and Twitch 😀 She can speak Japanese too, so she also plays Japanese horror games and translates what's Said and written to English.
Hearing you talk about Michael Rooker makes me so happy. I met him at the Atlanta Walker Stalker convention. A wonderful man, a bit rough around the edges as a lot of southern men can be, but just a fun and expressive guy!
The rave hallway really reminded me of the "haunted house" attraction we have here. One year, one of the areas was a music festival theme with people dancing behind chain link fences and stuff
Count me as one of the people you reminded to take their meds! Thank you Sean! Also i loved watching Gabs play this on her channel so was stoked to see you play it too! 🥰
The picture in my head is Sean playing the first game yelling and clearly spooked and evelien chuckling to herself somewhere in the house w each scream 😂
Nothing like heading to sleep wondering what should I watch tonight and then bam new video. Honestly these horror playthroughs have been an absolute treat. Makes me feel like I'm 12 again xd
OOoo this was one of the scarier games I seen in a while I got a few good chills and the sound design was really well done I thought there were things all around you then you found the lore and stuffs that was such a good experience for a short game. A game like this but longer would make for a great series. I actually had to pause a couple times and be like "Okay..deep breath and lets go!" and unpause to continue watching which is normally hard to make me that scared.
This was great! I love that the sound design was at least as important as the visuals. Definitely a headphones game. So much scarier with the great sound design. Also, and this is pretty niche, I'm a sucker for some good punctuation; there was so much variety and it was mostly correct (although I would have liked actual dashes instead of hyphens 😉). No comma splices like in so many other games. Anyway, brilliant game! I can't wait for the next one!
I hope someday that someone makes a realistic horror game where your character is actually smart and leaves but then there’d be a twist and you would ACTUALLY try to escape like if you were in that situation in real life

i loveeee watching evelyn play games cause she's so intricate about the details in the game and the back stories but i love jacks humor in it to make it less scary😂

The first jumbscare with the man running at you scared me and it unclogged my nose for a second.😂
an urbex vlogger is someone who vlogs their urban explorations through usually abandoned buildings.
Finding out you and Gab are together is one of the greatest discoveries I ever made.
so much horror from sean lately!!!!! loving it
I feel like I haven’t watched a playthrough this scary since the 2012 outlast/amnesia/indie-horror era and its honestly a weirdly nostalgic and welcome feeling ❤
Jack: Am I supposed to be seeing something here? *Shines his flashlight on the television*
Idk who Evelyn is personally but i trust her and her taste in horror games
Edit: this is my first ever chain in my replys
And ive now taken part of it
Evelyn is his gf. He just said that at the beginning and she too is a gamer. She goes by the name of GabSmolder.

I accidentally paused at 8:31 in the midst of jumping, but the facial expression Sean has from the pause is priceless
I have a cup of tea and sean has uploaded another horror game so my cozy evening watching yt is complete
The rave hallway really reminded me of the "haunted house" attraction we have here. One year, one of the areas was a music festival theme with people dancing behind chain link fences and stuff
Love a watching bit of Jacksepticeye playing horror during a late night.
yep
Count me as one of the people you reminded to take their meds! Thank you Sean! Also i loved watching Gabs play this on her channel so was stoked to see you play it too! 🥰
Jack: RUclipsrs and forest BAD
My mind: Jake- oooohhhh
The picture in my head is Sean playing the first game yelling and clearly spooked and evelien chuckling to herself somewhere in the house w each scream 😂
This is one of the best indie horror games I've seen so far. Nice find Evelyn. 👍
I hope you never stop doing what you do Jack, we love you and your content!
I hope someday that someone makes a realistic horror game where your character is actually smart and leaves but then there’d be a twist and you would ACTUALLY try to escape like if you were in that situation in real life
Nothing more nostalgic than sitting outside watching Jack play horror games
thank god we have jack to play these games for us

Thank you! ❤ It was so hard to find .c
I love that Evelyn recommends games to Sean id love to see a video about how you guys balance both being youtubers who make similar content. Like do you have rules about not telling each other about games you've played so you don't spoil it? Anyways love both your channel and hers! ❤
i loveeee watching evelyn play games cause she's so intricate about the details in the game and the back stories but i love jacks humor in it to make it less scary😂
It's so adorable that both of you recommended the same two movies, Gonjiam is now doubly on my Halloween list ♥️
Exactly what I needed after my closing shift at the craft store. Perfection as always!
Whenever jack uploads horror gameplays it srsly makes my entire day !!!!!
"Why am I getting achievements for existing?"
Good question.
Yet again I’m terrified and so is my plate of food

Sitting down with cup of tea, snacks and a new Jack indie horror video. Best way the spend the evening. Also Urbex Vlogger is someone who explores abandoned buildings.
I was certain you'd be all over the sound design and I'm glad I was partly right!
Watching jack play horror games with a long video is one of the greatest things ever. Good videos to eat too
This looks amazing, and Sean playing it makes it even better!
Jake inspires me.. My parents said if i get 50K followers They'd buy me a professional camera for recording..begging u guys , literally

I would LOVE to see Jack team up with Sam and Colby for a ghost hunt. That would be amazing. See if Jack turns into a believer after that
Yeah I love that idea
It's been so long since I've been able to actually sit down and enjoy a video. I'm glad I was treated with this masterpiece of a game.
