I admire how Smii7y can go from being a big goofball with his friends and nonstop joking to being serious and heartfelt in gameplays like this. It makes me want to see more of both because god he makes everything so interesting. Makes me feel like I'm watching over my older brother's shoulder as he plays.
Fun fact, Roy Sullivan, Mr. "Hit by lightning seven times" was a real person. The suicide happened from paranoia. He thought God must be angry at him and his wife getting hit while out with him only made the paranoia worse. Also, he had to whack a bear with a stick to make it go away on over 20 separate occasions. Which is arguably more impressive than the lightning thing.
About the Teddy Roosevelt photos, hes the father of national parks. He played a huge role in establishing national parks like Shoshone, which is also the first federally protected national forest.

Fact of the day: Ned committed a class F felony by hiding Brian’s body. Concealment of a corpse-That’s a 12 year sentence. So not murder but still as bad.
@LukelUp23 sure. But he still didn’t report the body. If someone dies and you witnessed it- whether it’d be an accident or not- and you hide it, that’s still concealment. Brian died in a climbing accident, Ned hid it and told no one. Still a felony.

"Road 96" is a pretty cool game. You are a hitchhiker trying to flee the country and you get dropped in on all kinds of scenarios that happen on your route. from a music festival to a robbery you are forced into, a ride from a murderous taxi driver or in the back of a limo with an out of control celebrity. And your actions effect your ultimate ending. there are like 30-35 different scenarios to play. Thank you when this video came out it was right after i finished playing firewatch and it was really cool and I searching through the comments and saw this and thought well it must be like firewatch right and road 96 is awesome thanks for recommending this
This is an experience, I’m actually grateful that I got to go on this journey with SMii7Y, it’s legitimately a humbling experience and not to get too sappy but a good ride, it’s pretty rare that I can just let myself chill and get vulnerable and emotional so the fact that I got to go on a nearly 4 hour journey of the interpretations of another man’s life (even if it’s ’just’ a videogame) in such a way is actually legitimately incredible and gives me just that much more hope in humanity, so not to be too longwinded but I just want to say Thank You, Thank You SMii7Y and thank you to the devs (obvs) and thanks for all the entertainment and the experiences over the years man, I really wish you the best. 3:38:13 fly high bro.
I loved your little tangent about silver maples, I think more people should have a favorite tree lmao. Arizona cypress are also sick as hell, they conduct electricity so well and since they hold water in their trunks, they don’t burn when struck by lightning. Surrounding trees of different kinds tend to be protected by these, because the lightning strikes the cypress instead of them, and then fizzles out instead of spreading. Share more nerdy facts in your letsplays, please bro

2:48:00 if you remember that's technically a Stanly parable Easter egg. One of the scenes in the Stanley parable, you are teleported to the watchtower.
When I played this game I instantly fell in love. I had a job that was VERY similar to this and while nothing crazy like this happened, the isolation definitely allowed me to day dream about scenarios like this. The game dose such a good job of capturing the feeling of being there on 90+ degree days, without trying to be photorealistic, it's like I can smell the sun warming the pine needles.
Ngl I stopped watching playthroughs a couple years ago now, like more than 5 years maybe; but two unlikely RUclipsrs brought them back for me; Smii7y and Yumi.

Im pretty sure this game doesn't referes to Stanley Parable at any point but the other way around. In the 2nd game you get a ending that does reference Firewatch.
4:01 you’d be surprised, I left a towel in the bed of my truck without realizing, drove on the freeway for an hour and a half and it was still there. Friends left ketchup, mayo, and other sauce packets that are still there and have been for almost a year. Wood chips haven’t flown out with the many road trips I’ve taken. Oddly enough, nothing really flies out of my truck bed which surprised me
I knew nothing about this game after hearing about it so much, and after watching a 3 and a half hour long video of someone playing it I can confidently say that I have been missing out for the past 9 years. Holy. Glad it was you that I got to watch play it, love this channel, keep it up brother
11:11 “What do I have keeping me there” dude I can feel how mad you are through the mic we are with the entire way of your video so whatever goes on in the video we have to agree with you on it!
51:45 She's right about the wind. I've seen it go from basically nothing to having to hold onto the wall just to not fly off a ladder. That change was all on the ladder
Played played this game for the first time like a month ago. I commented on smi77ys last video about how he should play it, maybe just maybe he read it lol.
36:55 Can Confirm. Worked in target for nearly three years will never do it again and treat any target employee with all respect possible cause i know how it goes.
In the final scene if you take the right-hand path back there are two additional events you come across. One is a jump scare in the old cabin. The other is the meeting place for the two rangers who left each other notes where there also is a cassette with a recording of "Old Shoshone"
The story reminds me of my mother with dementia, it keeps getting worse and I have to deal with constant arguments and I have to care for her at only 14. It sucks. She can forget things that happen moments before.
This game has been one of my all time favorites. Can't believe it's actually been about 9 years since it's release that is crazy to think about. I remember this game first releasing and it was everywhere on YT, I remember watching you play it initially. I was in middle school at the time, how time flies. Even more crazy, the developers haven't made a single other game since then, but they are working on one it seems. I have to say, I really wish this game had more to it, some more DLCs or maybe even a sequel or prequel or something. Would have been cool. One of my favorite parts about this game was the aesthetic and scenery. Made for some really good backgrounds
this was hard to watch at the start. it was making me very depressed and in my head but the way smitty narrates brings you back, at the right moment he allows the story to present its tone and mood . then follows that by lifting the mood when you're going a little far into the depression. 10/10
Want to know something? I thought I had seen everything on this app, but I was wrong whenever I saw the smii7y channel. I loved it, but when more smii7y channels came out, it was even better, so thank you, and I hope you have a great 2025 dude
I gotta say I've never liked narrative games. But for some reason watching smii7y play these long playthroughs makes me want to watch the full video through. It's really cozy to just sit back and watch him play through games like these and I hope to see a lot more of these kinds of games on this channel.
This game was such a roller coaster when I first saw it and played it. It really tugs at heart strings and makes you wonder how things could have played out if the other characters chose differently. Like what does she look like? Where did Ned go? This game is super emotional and really shows what the player desires when put in situations like this. The trauma and bonding you had were probably amazing just like anyone else.
I really hope that Smit7y makes more videos like this. Chill games with an interesting storyline. Don’t get me wrong, I love the chaotic videos he makes, but these are really fun to watch when just chilling out.
Man, I thought this video was amazing and I think I’d truly love to see Smitty play more games like this with a full story that drags you in till the end. Really hoping one day he’ll play Night in the Woods or What Remains of Edith Finch, or games similar to them I’d love to hear his thoughts on the stories in them. Great video once again, I’ll be sat for the next one for sure! ❤

YESSS or OR Tacoma
Fun fact the segment when they are talking about whos in the watch tower when the guy is out is a reference to the Stanley parable
How so? I love the Stanley Parable and don’t want to miss the moment!
Im pretty sure this game doesn't referes to Stanley Parable at any point but the other way around.
In the 2nd game you get a ending that does reference Firewatch.
Im so glad someone commented this, I was waiting for the part of the video to get there
@@DiaboIick exactly i dont know why people keep saying this. its obviously ron in the tower
1:44:25 I love how Smitty stops right in the middle of his game play to drop some relationship advice. 😆
Oddly enough, nothing really flies out of my truck bed which surprised me
Holy shit he played Firewatch. I've been wanting to rewatch someone play this game for a few weeks now. He read my mind.
I played fire watch the first time like a month ago, and commented on his last video he should play it. Maybe just maybe he read it lol.
Smii7y if you looking to play a horror game with a fire watch tower the new fears to fathom is exactly that
I knew nothing about this game after hearing about it so much, and after watching a 3 and a half hour long video of someone playing it I can confidently say that I have been missing out for the past 9 years. Holy. Glad it was you that I got to watch play it, love this channel, keep it up brother
Smitty is a real great guy, he has a heart of gold man, i respect it, heartfelt and goofy
Smii7y should return to playing solitaire.
I played firewatch for the first time last year, and was hands down one of the best single player games I’ve played.
Played played this game for the first time like a month ago. I commented on smi77ys last video about how he should play it, maybe just maybe he read it lol.
same and it is STILL my favorite single player story game after half life.
That was a great game, thanks for playing it smitty, definitely a banger, look at all the views in just 8 days 😂
3:22:42 I thought the same thing when he first said it lol
I was like "i thought she dementia not DID?" XD
36:55 Can Confirm. Worked in target for nearly three years will never do it again and treat any target employee with all respect possible cause i know how it goes.
59:16 ranger Smii7y can spot a beer a mile away
“I know your little ADHD TikTok brains can’t deal with me walking” 😂 29:16
45:25
"Do you feel like giggling when I say the naaameee... Biggus...Dickus?"
lmao 😭
I feel like Road 96 is a good fit for this channel.
I just finished that yesterday and totally agree!
In the final scene if you take the right-hand path back there are two additional events you come across. One is a jump scare in the old cabin. The other is the meeting place for the two rangers who left each other notes where there also is a cassette with a recording of "Old Shoshone"
What’s the jumpscare? Who or what is it?
@@murasakikugo515 Racoon in the stove jumps out at your face.
@ OH so it’s a good jump scare. Had me worried
Highly recommend Stray or After Us if you're looking for another game to play because they were pretty fun to play
The story reminds me of my mother with dementia, it keeps getting worse and I have to deal with constant arguments and I have to care for her at only 14. It sucks. She can forget things that happen moments before.
Sorry man, I'm gonna pray that God might help make the situation better, May God bless
smii7y should definitely play Road 96
Smizy is sitting their wearing a Korean vet hat while Deliah talking about how Goodman had PTSD LOL
"a horror game with this setting would be-"
ironbark lookout: oh really?
If you liked this, you should play What remains of Edith Finch next. Very cool game that is a masterpiece
at least he wont have to read as much in that one XD
This game has been one of my all time favorites. Can't believe it's actually been about 9 years since it's release that is crazy to think about. I remember this game first releasing and it was everywhere on YT, I remember watching you play it initially. I was in middle school at the time, how time flies.
Even more crazy, the developers haven't made a single other game since then, but they are working on one it seems. I have to say, I really wish this game had more to it, some more DLCs or maybe even a sequel or prequel or something. Would have been cool.
One of my favorite parts about this game was the aesthetic and scenery. Made for some really good backgrounds
Firewatch is such a sweet game. I loved it. Such a sad story about Brian Goodwin 😢
Cant wait for him to play this game again 7 years later
This is one of those games that I play every year. There's just something so pure and special about it.
I'd love to see smii7y play stray at some point on this channel
firewatch is such an incredible game, i really do love it. well crafted narrative-focused games are just so enjoyable
As an person from Los Angeles, the timing for this video is ironic
this was hard to watch at the start. it was making me very depressed and in my head but the way smitty narrates brings you back, at the right moment he allows the story to present its tone and mood . then follows that by lifting the mood when you're going a little far into the depression. 10/10
Love watching fire
UR BABYS GONNA BUUUURN👹
Finally i had another "YES, HE UPLOADED" moment
3 hours of smity plays let's freaking goooo
Legit one of my favorite games! Suddenly it’s no longer 8pm! I can watch all of this in one sitting now.
Probably my favourite vid of his in a long time. I like how it’s just nice, calm gameplay and I’ve never been in grossed in a games story so much.
"You, Henry, are out drinking with your pals."
Wtf I'm underage and I have friends?
Smi7ty just knows we ain’t sleeping
Lets goo first Smii7y(plays) video of 2025 and its starting off with a banger! *Absolute gem and masterpiece of a game*
Dude was so prepared to throw hands w Delilah to stay faithful, green flag goals
11:39 smii7y was regretting his life choices
Absolutely!!! This is gunna be such a good game for smitty to play! Can't wait for you to pick it apart with that golden commentary.
What a time to drop this one....
Fire in me eyes
I’ve played this game before it’s so good
Could you please play fears to fathom another game I would love to see you play and loved the vid I really like your longer vids
