It kind of feels like, even in the Machine Path, Connor is still a Deviant. Just unlike every other android that instantly wants freedom, Connor's deviancy manifested as a personal determination to complete what he sees as his calling. The only thing that matters to him on a deep, emotional level. The revolution's greatest threat turned out to be a Deviant.
I've manifested a theory on Connor, just like Markus, he is an RK series member, I have a feeling the RK series were never meant to assist humans, but be like humans, Kamski always had some sort of positivity when talking about deviants, although he may treat some of them as plastic toys. Kamski might actually have a somewhat sort of God complex, he wants to create life on his own, so he created the RK series, a series of androids that can immitate human emotion, both Markus and Connor before turning into deviants felt more human than other androids, Kara, for example was more robotic, especially before evidence that she might die, that was her "trigger" unlike Markus and Connor, who acted extremely more human without ever needing a trigger. It also explains why Kamski had the "I've gotten my wishes, now time to smear it over everyone else" characteristic, he created robotic life just as he wished.
Exactly. Thats why I consider "machine" Connor the best. He is a deviant. And yet he considers other deviant androids a threat. Its especially fitting if Marcus is evil.
Yeah, machine connor is low key just a deviant who is lying to himself. He claims to care about nothing other than the mission, but he wastes alot of time gloating and taunting his enemies when he has them dead to rights. Depending on qtes those tendencies cause him to fail his mission quite frequently. Machine connor clearly feels emotions...but machine connor's emotions are sadism, arrogance, and melodrama. Basically, its just a question of whether he possesses empathy or not, but hes never really an efficient machine
Too bad they did not consider third path for Connor. To become deviant but more psychopath/egoist way. Seeking for glory/appreciation from Cyberlife by destroying deviants.
