To me, this is one of the most powerful chapters in the game. The acting and the dialogue creates such a powerful scene and the tension is just unreal. When Ortiz's android confesses, the fear he expresses in his voice and body language is so incredibly human that it cements what a deviant really is. The confusion and hurt he projects when he tells Connor about Ortiz taking up a bat to hit him with shows a moment when the android seemed to wake up - when he didn't understand what he had done wrong to be beaten and it probably tore him open emotionally. When he told Connor it wasn't fair, you can hear the hurt and anger and it seems to rock him to his core, because he felt he didn't deserve what he got. He didn't know anything outside of the world he had been brought up in. He had been only a housemaid, and when he fought back, he didn't know where to go or what to do. He must have felt lost and afraid, now knowing right from wrong and being fully aware of emotions. Had he never been found, I highly doubt he would have ever left the attic due to the cascade of emotions that kept him seemingly incapacitated and hidden there for +19 days. You really begin to see the contrast of emotions felt and the conditions some androids experienced. To me, it would have been difficult to continue playing the game with the viewpoint that deviants weren't alive and that they had to be stopped. I felt disgust at what the android had done and the condition he left Ortiz in, but the flood of emotions that swallowed the deviant after was very powerful and cemented my decision to help deviants in my first playthrough.

Well that's different. Cold Connor knows that he'll do everything it takes to accomplish his missions. If he dies, the mission has failed, or very inefficient. So in order to accomplish his missions, he'll have to do some rule breakings, life endings, and body sacrifices. There will be a change to his priorities. I think it's most natural to be passive-aggressive and just the right amount of soothing to help it feel natural and Connor look like a badass in social manipulation/getting the confession. It's part of real interrogations all the time. You want to criminal to feel like they're in deep shit but that you're here to help pull them out of it. All they have to do... is talk.

I think he's trying to say that the android has lasted said amount of time. People say other things are so and so years old. E.g "My ps2 is 10 years old" stuff like that
Alexandria Agopian - If something has existed for x amount of years, that is how old it is. Physical maturing (or deterioration) is not the same thing as aging. That is just what happens to us humans as we age.
Plus, if Alice is designed to be a 9-year old kid, her officially registered age would be 9. That means that in official terms, she is considered 9, programmed to emulate a 9 year old girl. It is reasonable to think this is the age she would go by when it comes to things such as this; The age everyone is told she is.

Thanks for the kind words. Needed to tune up the brightness during editing since playing the game way to bright also tends to have the drawback of causing too much glare and blowouts.

lol, holy crap have you been looking inside my file folder? I've actually been holding onto that footage for the longest time. I've got the part where Markus and the rest of the rebellion walking towards the Recall center with all the dialogue options and all the positions [ ie. kneel, raise fist, sit down, raise hands ] plus also all the dialogue options while inside the barricade with North. Don't have the dialogue option between Markus & Perkins though. Maybe one day I'll put it together. XD
