Bryan (the actor for Connor) actually described how careful he was to try and provide consistent character development for Connor in this sense in an interview! Since different choices make up a different character, it was important to him that he acted in consistency with what lead Connor to each moment in the story :)

Hank doesn't hate androids, he hates people that lack empathy, machines, like Connor in the first half, lack empathy. If he hated androids he would've been all for killing all the deviants you encounter, seeing as how he 'kills' Connor
9:28 I chose to shoot the girl instead of spare her life, but I was pretty good friends with Hank, he didn’t say “Did you feel anything when you shot those two girls, fucking bastard” but instead he said “Did you feel anything when that girl killed herself, or just didn’t give a shit one way or another.” Then it gave me two different options between Cold Disturbed. I chose disturbed and Connor said “I was just following instructions, I did what I had to do.” in a pretty emotional voice. There’s so many different dialogues and such in the game it’s great.
Go for good relations with hank all the way up until you choose to become a deviant or not, then side with Cyberlife. It makes the rooftop all the more emotional.

You missed the whole point... Hank asks Connor "why did you shoot" out of anger, as he's on androids side. He thinks they're alive and wanted them to go, except Connor killed them. Then Hank asks Connor "why didn't you shoot" as a way to see if Connor is deviant, to make Connor doubt himself, or to MAKE him think about how androids should be alive (meaning, he wants Connor to be deviant).
I feel so bad for Connor when you reply for the what’s next for androids after death and the face he has when he says ‘Nothing. There will be nothing.’ Just want to hug my boy so bad 😭
I feel like it doesn't make sense for Hank to draw his gun if you have a good relationship with him or if you killed the Tracis. Luckily for me ,in my first playthrough, I had a hostile relationship with Hank (even though I was trying my hardest to be his friend lol) so it felt right when he killed me.
Abdullah Asif I think it makes perfect sense for him to draw his gun. In the hostile play through he draws his gun because he has an unhealthy and bland relationship with Connor. However, to get the good play through you can't kill the Traci's. If Connor doesn't kill them, that shows empathy. I think Hank raised his gun because he suspected that Connor was a deviant. It'd make sense to raise your gun to a deviant if the only thing you knew about deviants is that they're violent. Just my opinion though. I can see why it'd seem weird.

This is really nice. The little differences between the choices depending on what you do before that point... This does make me wonder if at 10:20 Hank would have said something different if Connor doesn't die until this point... Or if he's friendly, if he'd mention dying if he knows you can come back... It's great to see all of the choices once again, and everything they have to say depending on what happens... Thanks for showing us!
The music that plays when hank pulls out the revolver is so tense I could feel my heart pounding as I watched this, feeling anxious about what was to come. The music suddenly became so bold and threatening. It conveys the seriousness of what was happening. It was definitely one of the boldest things Hank had done to Conner and the music conveyed that perfectly. The sorta tense music while the dialogue goes on and then the sudden dramatic cello and base. Perfection.
This video is awesome!! I think there's something you missed though! If you don't find the tracis, Hank says different dailogue and there is also some path where Hank walks around Connor in the begining , but I don't know how that one is achieved. :/ Great editing!!! Thank you!

This was the point in the game for me where the story didn't "line up" and it ruined my emotional investment in story arc for these two . I ran out of time on the previous mission so I didn't even get to the bit where I could shoot the girls. Therefore, I entered this mission with no reason for Hank to hate me and I answered all my questions neutrally and he still shot me. It was so out of the blue and jarring that it just left me thinking it was badly written and I just wanted to rush through Conner's story.
I think that’s exactly why he decides not to shoot depending on your relationship. He either resents you, because you keep dying and coming back OR he wants to help you because you remind him of Cole and he doesn’t want to lose that again.
Hank chose to shoot my Connor in the head, just because I killed one of the traci”s at the Eden club? They tried to stab me and to kill them was definitely the right option to go with.

I chose to shoot the traci.... The way it ended started to make me regret shooting the traci and started to make me think if I was on the wrong side as Connor... Luckily when I was talking to Hank, he aimed the gun at my head but did not shoot me Honestly, at the time it felt like the right thing to do but I regret it now

The music that plays when hank pulls out the revolver is so tense
I could feel my heart pounding as I watched this, feeling anxious about what was to come.
The music suddenly became so bold and threatening. It conveys the seriousness of what was happening. It was definitely one of the boldest things Hank had done to Conner and the music conveyed that perfectly.
The sorta tense music while the dialogue goes on and then the sudden dramatic cello and base.
Perfection.

This video is awesome!! I think there's something you missed though! If you don't find the tracis, Hank says different dailogue and there is also some path where Hank walks around Connor in the begining , but I don't know how that one is achieved. :/ Great editing!!! Thank you!

Great question: I’ve seen that scene before as well, where he circles around Connor but I can’t find it anymore. I want to know how to get it!! 😩 maybe you need to be neutral with Hank

This was the point in the game for me where the story didn't "line up" and it ruined my emotional investment in story arc for these two . I ran out of time on the previous mission so I didn't even get to the bit where I could shoot the girls. Therefore, I entered this mission with no reason for Hank to hate me and I answered all my questions neutrally and he still shot me. It was so out of the blue and jarring that it just left me thinking it was badly written and I just wanted to rush through Conner's story.
I think that’s exactly why he decides not to shoot depending on your relationship.
He either resents you, because you keep dying and coming back OR he wants to help you because you remind him of Cole and he doesn’t want to lose that again.
