Painting Gort in Watercolour

I drew this row of buildings while I waited for my daughter’s school to open one morning, in Gort, an Irish market town in Galway. That’s the best kind of urban sketching - just to amuse yourself! I always paint as well as draw entirely on location, but this time I went a bit awol with the colours and painted at home in my studio.
I hope you will be able to either make up colours of your own, or follow mine, for your own drawing.

Blue and orange are such dynamic colors- I’m working my way up to drawing on location- I have gotten closer in that I’m taking the photo on the location and then drawing at home but this is huge for me to even get that far. I have only started doing urban sketching style drawings in the past few weeks.

I can only see Ultramarine Light rather than French Ultramarine Light on the chart or at Jacksons. Is that a new one? Looks very good.
