Dan, this was FANTASTIC and very amusing. You’re nephew is the best. Sorry (not sorry) you got crapped upon as the seemingly inept uncle but you’ve got big shoulders. 😆 I bet he had fun doing this. I love the way you created a show, mimicing the same type of instructional feedback to the “student” as I remember seeing in grade school science films, even right down to moderator vocals/mannerisms. All your subject matter was spot on, very useful, and quite necessary. Like any motoring method there are quarks, even for ICE but we’re so used to them they seem insignificant/nonexistent. BEV may have removed all related to ICE but put in its own! Imagine the adjustment from horse-drawn carriage to ICE back in the day. They may have eliminated hay, poop shovels, livery, stables, tack, water troughs, hitching rails, etc, but had to create infrastructure to deliver gas and oil for an evolved vehicle new to the market. Gas originally was sold in quart bottles at drug stores before market demand required systems to accommodate a rapidly growing motor public. I have only one technical question on your lesson regarding regen: Tesla is careful with regen capability/capacity in cold climate if the battery too is cold. In the cold though, as battery temp increases (through usage) into acceptable ranges, regen is allowed to incrementally return. This should be true for any BEV until science ushers in some new battery design immune to cold temp extremes. Does the FLASH DRIVE system include this protection?
Thanks for watching. Great commentary on the video and we we’re definitely trying for the instructional video feel from the past. To answer your question. the regen has several parameters and protocols that it follows to allow for regeneration. Temp and state or charge are part of those checks. Unfortunately we couldn’t cover everything, but a follow up video might be worth doing in the future!

The fossils fuels are exhausted at the local power plant. And no fossil fuel were used to manufacture the components. Now to be fair I’m more on board with conversation.

Water could introduce corrosive agents, so the safe bet is to use it un-blended.

I love how the kid drives off camera on the private road, and then cuts to “him” flooring it on a public street. This way you can say this video isn’t evidence of anything criminal, nor negligent, since you can’t really prove it was him. I mean, “exhibition of speed” is technically illegal in Texas, no matter who’s behind the wheel, but I can’t imagine them going after you for it.
It’s all camera trickery.. 🤣
