I've done several of those aftermarket relays for the tipm. Yes, the brown wire is the control wire coming from the PCM and should not be constantly grounded. Good job.

I have a 2019 chrysler 300s with the pentastar 3.6 and just got the po6da code. Seems to be running normal and oil pressure is reading as it should. Not sure where to start with that code popping up. Was it the solenoid that was bad on this one that was giving that same code on this one?

The ScanTool is a TopDon Phoenix Elite, the service Info is AllData, and I also used Identifix in the beginning.

Great video. I have the P06DA code currently, where the pump is stuck in high mode. Is it safe to drive the vehicle until I get around to fixing it? Oil PSI between 25 and 80.

I would think it's fine, But don't want to be responsible if its not😜

@advancedleveldiagnostics hahaa no I wouldn't put blame on you regardless. I researched it more. There's a video out there about these 2 stage pumps and how they are designed so that if the solenoid fails, and the pump runs in the high stage, it's still within spec. They basically said that if it fails, it's now running as all oil pumps did back in the day before 2 stage was invented.

@@Shawn855 Do you have a link to that video? I got the p06DA on a 2017 dodge charger. Car seems to idle and run fine. Definitely has oil pressure or i'd be hearing the top end eating itself.

@@mooosestang I don't sorry. But I kept driving it with zero issues like that for over a month, 7000kms

@@Shawn855 Thanks. i think she's going to live with the code until i have time to replace it. It's an sxt and shows the oil pressure on the dash. 80psi on a cold start seems pretty normal. Such a dumb idea to try to save a few fractions of a gallon of gasoline. I just replaced the oil filter housing, also a dumb idea.

Why topdon dont put a preference for measurements in settings is beyond me. I get so frustrated with that!! Great scanner but i lean towards my Ultra more then anything

Nothing makes me more mad than when it defaults to deg/min and KPA and the topdon doesn't recognize my dirty finger taps 😁😁

You want to complain about all the guys out there doing subpare work, but truth is if if wasn't for them, 20% of the mechanics would have to find a job doing something else
