Great to see a bunch of engineers and PhD students letting their hair down for a night.
this isn't a dream theater show
@@AhYesIndeedItsFunTime ur right it's better
please don't forget about the mathematicians 👿
Happy to see live cabs on stage.
I am kicking myself for missing this
SAME
So good. I was right up front.
Buster!!! It's lil Mondy
shout outs to the guy on the front rown that was nailing the air drumming
This is such a hard song to get to groove exactly like the recorded version I feel.
I def agree, those programmed drums on the record are abnormal to say the least.
Know what you mean
At least Tosin usually gets that glorious tapping section right
0:36 Javier Reyes becomes Javiens Kidman
epic horns up 5:55🤘🏻
I still can’t believe Matt plays the intro as singles..
They always push the sonic envelope
Security dude bopping his head at 4:19 and 5:30, loves it.
Man, matt's take on the clean break with those ghost notes is really nice. I like how he plays to the track, but in his own way.
Matt is on fire!!
2:07 that's me surfing lol
Was that Tool I heard?? Idk if my ear are working right, at 0:14
Yeah kind of sounded like Forty Six & 2 for a second there
Yes, that was a little Tosin take on 46 & 2 I do believe
AAL opening for tools next tour confirmed
@@zeusthedrumlord547 that would be soooo dope
AAL FTW
Awesome performance. Love that Javier always gets the crowd to clap in whatever crazy time signature that is (13/8 IIRC after looking it up a while back...my ears were tricked into thinking it was 11/8 after coming up with my own 11/8 groove (that goes 1 2 3 4 5 + + ) which sounds very similar). Matt is such a beast!
I wonder happens with the crowd surfers when they get lifted down by the kindly security guards. Do they just have to go to the back of the crowd or do they get fully kicked out of the show?
They usually have to go around the barricade and to the back of the crowd. They’ll have to make their way back through if they want to be in the pit again.
Funny story: I saw AAL at Bonnaroo 2014. I was up on this elevated concrete support for the tent. I had to piss really badly by the end but nobody expected the turnout they had so the tent was PACKED and it would have taken forever to make my way out with everyone. I made an epic decision upon noticing that security were sending crowd surfers outside through backstage. During the CAFO ending drum solo, I crowdsurfed to the front, gave the guys the horns and got thrown out with the applause. A row of empty portapotties was right there.
@@TunnelJumper The man, the myth, the legend
I used to think it was 7/8 when I first tried learning it, but I could never get my kicks to line up, then i realized it was in 13/16, so just a 16th shy of 7/8. Took me forever to figure out why I couldn't lock it in.
Gua baru liat penontonnya bisa pada moshing di lagu AAL ini , biasanya pada bengong aja...melongo liat skill pemainnya yang aduhaaii... 😂👍
Forty Six & 2 intro
im confused why are ppl being crowd surfed to the front
Because that's how crowd surfing works
@@shemsuhor8763 Ok sure but why are they being taken out of the crowd, i’ve never been to a live show
@@begleysbeatbakery I hope you can go to your first show soon! It'll be unforgettable. So the security guards take them out because they can't really put them back haha. Nobody wants to be holding a crowd surfer continuously so they just get pushed forward until they reach the barrier. After that, they've gotta make their way down the side of the venue and around to the back or wherever else there's an opening for them to re-enter the crowd.
Because they gotta go to the restroom really badly
I think we are friends on Instagram. I was at this show though, they never disappoint.
