I don't think it dawns on me very often... Bodies are so fascinating... so many millions of years worth of natural selection and engineering... to be able to pilot our bodies in such a multitude of ways and expressions. Beautiful, eerie, captivating, breathtaking.
This was beautiful
There's always something deeper and rich when it comes to music with no lyrics. I listen to artists such as Greg Howe to Nujabes [rip] and have always let the music take me away to parts unknown to let my thoughts ease and interpret the language that is music. This band always does it for me too. Great stuff guys.
(fr?) Great tastes my friend :)
Love Nujabes and completely agree
Jesus. How can you listen to this shit and Nujabes? Polar opposites.
@@steven5054 radio music sucks that's why
@@Heisenberg_Zordon explain to me how nujabes or AAL are radio music
Another absolute masterpiece!
These guys take their art seriously. I respect that.
It's like a whirling dervish and "the cell" gave birth in my eyeballs 👀 this is, in fact, a compliment.
"'Monomyth' is part fever dream, part ritual. Its imagery represents man's ceaseless attempts to translate transcendent ideas into movement. The conflation of struggle with meaning. Pain with significance. The ultimate failure of distilling perceived patterns in the world into knowledge." -Tosin Abasi
Sounds like some Squidward stuff
zzzzzzzzzz
I think part of the message is to accept the abstract for what it is.
I love black big brained hot guitar guy
@@steven5054 Seriously, entirely predictable at this point.
1:20 When you get a strike at the bowling alley
Beautiful.
It’s insane how good these guys are. Somehow they manage to sound like they are from the future but at the same time certain elements of this song remind me of traditional musical genres such as Konnakol. AAL as leaders!
As someone who went to performing arts school since preschool, this is pure art. Between the choreography and edit, it it is masterful. I love cirque do soleil for the same reason. not a huge aal fan buthis visio-audio experience is 10/10
Fellow Cirque fan here! ❤
Can you explain why? I really can not understand what the coreographer wants to evoque. I barely see them coordinate between, not with music. So I would really enjoy if you could tell the late motifs or something valuable 😊 (no hate, I love AAL, but simply don't understand this kind of art)
I love that everyone is feeling the dancers for this video, I expected a lot of bellyaching about it but am happily surprised that the YT crowd can appreciate the skill of the choreography as well as the musicianship
This! This had the potential of being received as cringy and memeworthy. The fact that people just accepted it speaks volumes of how well it was excecuted.
Art is all about taking risks, and boy did this one pay off
@@iau !!
As I clicked on this I was disappointed to see dancers, not musicians. But anybody with rhythm in their soul can appreciate the effort and timing of these guys. Great job! (just dont be in front of me at a gig : -)
I think the type of people who enjoy AAL enjoy good art when they see it
First BTBAM release an album, now AAL! My year is complete!
I'm sticking to Colors II being my best album of the last decade.
But I very much have enjoyed the new releases! Gojira and Architects earlier in the year, Jinjer, Leprous, as well as upcoming music from Trivium and AAL? Good year for music creation honestly.
++++
I'm hoping The Contortionist announce something soon.
2:55 kills me everytime. The choreography is insanely fitting for this song. No surprise tosins girlfriend was the mastermind behind the filming of this video.
This...this seems so hard to do. Not the music, that's a given.
But the choreography of the dancing individuals. It's insane. Well done.
There was absolutely no need for them to go this hard. My body can only handle so much 😂
0:47 secs that's how a V12 engine pistons work 🤣🤣
Jokes apart , Another masterpiece! Thanks AAL ❤️❤️
Honestly one of the best visual videos I've seen in quite a while.
This video is AMAZING, so proud of the actual metal community.
The music, the choreography, GENIUS!!!! THIS IS ART!!! CONGRATULATIONS Tlathui Maza and all the fantastic dancers!
Lore: the dude from Obzen now transformed has learned the duplicate ability
Anyways great song what can we expect from the masters of intricate rhythms.
This really explains the album cover "The Madness of Many"
1:49 Me desperately finding my phone to turn off the alarm 6:00AM in the morning
Dancers: how rhythmical will it be?
AAL: Yes
Is Rhythmical a word?
@@justinmadison513 Yes
🤣
Whole band gets an A+. As a guitarist, I’m in awe of Tosin and the new generation.
100% agreed.
Fun fact, this was directed by Tosins girlfriend, Telavaya.
I'm not suprised from what i have seen on her Instagram I believe it
I love fun facts!
Well, she killed it.
They broke up now 🙆🏻♂️
Just the greatest thank you, AAL. What a great song & visuals!
This, too, is how I dance to their music
I'll never be able to listen to them again now without thinking of this video, 🤣
I just imagine the poor choreographer trying to figure out this crazy metrics...
Amazing song, and incredible video!!!!
Just nod your head and hope.
@@andreashofmeyr9583 just headbang and smile boys, headbang and smile
choreographers use complex meters far more often than you think
Choreographer was actually his girlfriend haha
This is as bare bones beauty as it gets. Pure rhythmic mastery, and it does not hold back. The absolute gall.
