    Great explanation. As is the case with most fitness technique discussions, the real answer is not absolute. The answer is - it depends.

    Great instructional video man. Thanks .
    For me thumbs forward. Both single or double.
    But the importand imo in KB lifting is not to injure your back and waist because of bad form.
    As long as you maintain good form and technic all good.

    Wish I would of seen this before now. Confirming a lot I had to learn through trial. 5'10", #205, with short arms, longer torso, & bigger thighs. Trying to get even a 40kg traditional bell let alone 2 24kg through my legs was a learning curve.

    I just kinda grabbed it.... and noticed as it swings back my thumbs turn in. So that’s how I started grabbing them. 🤷‍♂️
    I’ve also been using two, 24kg KBs for a total of about 5 days lol. Just getting into the KB life. So take what I say with a grain of salt. But am going go to try the thumbs up grip right now.

      Swing This Kettlebell and Strength
      Double. But what you described with the knees and shoulders is happening to me... I’m going outside in just a minute to try thumbs up technique. I will update.

      Swing This Kettlebell and Strength
      Clutch fix right there. Way more powerful and snappy. And didn’t need to push out my knees. Thank you!!!!

    Hey! I've been trying to cut fat with kettlebells, but im not sure which exercise or complex is the best for that, do you know what movements would maximize fat/caloric burn?

    • @kettlebellmusclegain
      @kettlebellmusclegain  4 года назад +3

      Its mostly nutrition and then consistent exercise to try and build muscle which is more metabolically active through the day ans overnight ! Basically youre building a larger engine whichbuses more fule thru the day.

    can i ask you about your foot placement? do you point out a little? i saw a KB guy who kept saying you need to have the foot pointing straight but then it is weird swinging with doubles

    • @kettlebellmusclegain
      @kettlebellmusclegain  3 года назад

      Place them where it feels best on your knees. I am slightly pointed outward as I track my knees towards my toes.

    Great content as always! Just a quick question can the thumbs forward approach be done for double kettlebell swings? I’m trying them in the conventional way you would swing (bell facing forward) but struggling with form

    • @kettlebellmusclegain
      @kettlebellmusclegain  4 года назад +3

      Absolutely. Swing is the base so its part of the clean. I absolutely have to do thumb forward on swings and all for double bellls. My legs are too big and body too short for the others!

    Is it bad/weird if I have long limbs and prefer thumb forward even for singles?
