- Teamwork can be hard, but working with a team that’s not your own can be even harder. Today’s experiment takes a look at competitive team dynamics when we switch two members on two opposing teams. Will each team learn to co-exist or implode from within?
We saw last week how the Empathy Gap works in action. Now we test people's empathetic response when one person is forced to work with fans of their rival sports team.

I dont like people failing or suffering but it gives me a feeling that I am doing fine. It is just something of comparison.
"If more people knew each other as people...we wouldn't have to separate ourselves so much." 💜
It makes me sad these videos don't have more views they are so eye opening to our own faults as a species and how we can improve.
I personally hate to see others fail I genuinely want everyone on this planet to do amazing its what everyone deserves and it would make things easier but sadly not everyone can do good and thats when it gives me inspiration and yes it makes some people feel better but is it in a rude way? Not all the time and its truly sad for those who love to see others fail I think that in a humanly way its okay as long as you are still caring for others around you and understanding
how does this not have more views/likes whattt
This is so interesting! I am loving this series!!!!
@4:42 i totally thought that was zach kornfeld from buzzfeed
Lilah J Zach 2.0
Nahhh, just me lolol :)
This topic interests me as I learnt from soft skills training that many people follow the “I’m OK, You’re not OK” matrix correlation. It’s like schadenfreude technically. Great video for helping people to improve empathy. It’s not obvious to many people, just like common sense being actually quite rare and precious.
This series of highly fascinating, thanks Soul Pancake!! ^_^
I quite liked this episode. Quite liked it.
Last season you guys made a video about how to get over a break up but only covered Like 2-3 steps can you guys link me the rest of the steps or make a video with the rest of the steps. I found it super interesting
I had a Science Lab class last semester and bonded with a set of awesome individuals. But,as the Lab class progressed I had the opportunity to slide into another Lab group who where cool to work with also.
Helpful advice, thanks a lot!
Thank you for this amazing video.
The advice of trying to understand where other people are coming from.
I like when others fail because it makes me feel better about myself
Great thinking!! I'd fail all the time so you could be a queen!
@@perryh.5306 thank you, I appreciate it
@@chloideach anytime!
Maybe I'm just not a competitive person....this just doesn't seem like a "thing" to me....who cares what team someone is on. lol. And I definitely don't like to see ANYONE fail or suffer. I can't imagine whom I would want to fail...maybe someone who was bragging that they could win beforehand and making others feel bad?? Then I'd want the others to feel good so that would mean that person losing? But glad the people adapted. :)
I see all these people on SoulPancake and I'm like 'The world really is a better place' and then I step out having to deal with these enormous jerks
The FEEELS 😭😭♥️♥️
Strange title, I'm going to check this out but, i've never enjoyed someone else's failure??? If I see others that do then I avoid them..
Can you make this series longer pleaseee
We work with what we got.
Am I the only one who hates to see other people fail? Like for example whenever I watch a soccer game on TV I just want no one to lose even if my favorite team is playing..
It's like second hand embarrassment
In short, because you yourself have failed & saw it as a failure. The wise ones see our failures as learning lessons and opportunities. The difference is all in your perception.
The lady in blue accidentally shaded the lady in red "I didn't want to be the jerk that sabotaged an entire team"
If we hope to get anywhere politically all politics should watch this video
interesting u can apply this to politics
Here before 2k vieewss
total gibberish math on that white board
I don't enjoy other people's failures.
Let's swap Trump for Kim Jong Un and we'll all have a little more empathy for each other.
Someone please show this to the Divider in Chief Donald Trump.
I truly enjoy when people I don't like fail. But overall I have a HUGE lack of empathy.
As a child, I got moved to another team in gym class and all my friends were on the team I was originally on so I was mad. I kept kicking the ball to our own goal (we were playing soccer) and helping my old teammates. Gym teacher then switched me back cause I was being stubborn lmao. I didn't care
That's cute! Super attractive!
schadenfreude
heh i am one of the first ones
Who else loves being early cause there’s a higher chance of getting 1k like?
Edit-waiting for 100 replies about “thirsty for likes”
Getting likes doesn't really affect me that much to care enough
