Subi-Performance Engine manufacturer specializing in the construction of Subaru high-performance boxer engines.
Most of the tools I use are from Snap-on and the measuring equipment is from Mitutoyo.

Dear Andy, Guys and Pina ... whole team Subi ..: -) .ohh ... I'm so surprised. That's unbelievable ... you ... You've fulfilled my dream. I wished to could have a video for look it sometimes :-). I know you have a lot of work. Over it all you fulfilled my mention of such a wish. That's unbelievable .....
I don't speak English so well to express my current feelings.
I found out that in such a situation lost all words. But I'll try to describe my feelings.
I'm very happy, absolutly positivily surprised, and must to thank you very much. This situation make me keeping smile already two hours.
I hope that the positive energy which I have now.....I can send by words back to your workshop.
You are the really best team Subaru workshop .... ...
You did it very well. I'm 1000 kilometers away from you, but so happy for it happaned. You're a really great team.
Now.. it is not only engine build by Subi performance....Now it is the engine story and great feeling which you give me. This story, feeling can not buy nowhere, can't be buy with money.
It's nice when people can and make someone happy, kindly surprised him. That is the highest level for the your customers. This make the most happy customers for future. I will talk always about you with pleasure in my Subaru comunity.

@Ro Bert Thank you for your honestly wishing :-) It was really dufficult for me....Dream and also the challenge for a lot months in my work. During the study of the problematic about Subaru engines i found out that is better choose the specialist. Subaru is reliable, but only the engines need really special care. I am glad that find the Subi-performance.

Perfect German craftsman! I am proud that we're still having great craftsman which are supporting our economy! We must not forget that guys like Subi Performance brought Germany to the wealth and prosperity we have nowadays! Appreciation is highly recommended!

Admirable mécanique et quel savoir-faire.... véritablement je trouve que c’est une vraie mécanique d’horlogerie montée avec tellement de soins. Bravo vous êtes de vrais ingénieurs préparateurs de super-moteurs. Piloter avec un de ces engins doit être une vraie jouissance, autant par le son que par la puissance. Bravo encore, les « Pro »!!...

Ive shown a couple of your build videos to a friend of mine who was planning to build some wild VQ engine for his 350z. At first he says to me "well this is a Subaru boxer engine" lol like you only take measurements on Subi's. Anyway once he realized you cant just buy bearings and other new internals and just through it together he changed his mind.

You are right watching assembly videos is a boor. Lets see the completed engines causing smoky burnouts. And who makes Subaru transmissions that can withstand the power? Lets see some transmission mods to get the power to the road.

Greetings tremendous work on the Subaru engines you can make a video which shows the position of the piston rings as they go correctly thanks
You know I see these guys using this lube on the bearings I use regular motor oil because it soaks into the bearing and that's what you're going to run in the engine that's just my preference
I'd like to know where to find that crankshaft seal install tool. It looks very well made as well as making installation super easy.
Any work on EZs? The 6 cylinder subi engines seem so cool but only ever heard of ez33s being built due to rod sharing quirks.
are there any risks of assembly lube from bearings mixing or contacting the RTV around case half holes when everything is coming together?

Not to be negative but I did not think you were meant to lubricant the outside section of seals, only the inside because that's the part where something rotates on the seal. 🤷
I have seen others put a thin layer of sealant on the external side of the seal, is this incorrect method?

This is a W block or just semi-closed one. What's the thickness of the cylinder wall?
Just wondering about the bearings ,looks like acl race style on mains but standard type on big ends, is there a preference for doing this? Thanks

What ring gap do you recommend for 08 sti ej257 stock bore 400-500hp 25PSi CP Pistons, says bore x .0055(.021)? for boost.Top and bottom thanks

Can I ask a potentially dumb question? How do you check the gap between the piston rod bearings and the crank shaft to ensure you have the correct oil gap?
Normally you bolt the end caps on the rod with the bearings installed at the correct torque then measure with a dial bore gauge, then mic the rod journals. The difference in diameter is your oil clearance.
How About skoda 130 LR engine? Also to the Czech republic.

Does this mean you are able to build engines from other countries? Say if a customer from Canada would like a build. Would they be able to ship a block to your facility?

How is that enough RTV?? I'm not questioning you, you're clearly the expert here. But how is it rather than is it enough RTV. I've always seen so many people slather a shit ton of RTV while building an engine so that caught me off guard.

Is idling my engine good for it when i start it from cold? And how long should i wait before i drive off?
A few seconds is fine, more important is not getting the revs too high until it's warmed up after you start driving it.

Why would you grease anything in the bottom end? It's just going to get washed away by the oil.

There was a Subaru 12 cylinder 3.5l engine in F1. When do you couple two EJ engines in the same car ? It will be the first 1000 HP Subaru. Stop wasting time welding parts to mimic a dog and weld two engine blocks together to rock the Internet. Best regards
