Subaru 2.5 sohc timing belt installation fail

- So that ended in a complete fail, I have ordered a new belt from Cloyes engine builders, I did still have the old belt so I checked the teeth count which I think was right since the old belt fit and it has more teeth than the new belt. Not sure what's going on with that but I will make a short video to show you a little later.
On the other hand I am using good idler bearings from Japan since so many of them go bad before there next belt change. What I took off that engine were Chinese built idler bearings and they had wobble in them.
The idler Bearings I used are:
NSK#59B0515 left lower idler
NSK#60TB0648 right upper idler
NSK#60TB693 right lower idler
At least the idler bearings are right.
I never had any issues with parts from Ultrapower, I believed they just reboxed parts from other manufacturers.
Yeah it was a surprise to me, apparently this belt fits earlier Subaru boxer engines. Thanks Bud.🫣

Is that red idler in the right spot or is it the lower one? What does the last one look like. Subaru uses Koyo and NSK idlers How not to install a Subaru tming belt. Check some RUclips videos and try again. 18 ftlb is for the tensioner roller bolt. 28 ftlb for the bolt to block same as the other idlers.
Thanks Wayne, I have checked and the red idler is correct. It's been awhile sine I installed a timing belt on subaru so I think I forgot how to get it done. That belt would of fit if I installed it differently.

It is only a fail because they gave you the wrong part 🤷🏻♂
Your right it's there fail, it's still up as a belt for the 2.5 sohc but now it says 223 count, that's to small.🤔
