Nicely put together video! As a South Korean, I must say that the purchase of the T-80UK is false. This was confirmed in the National Defense Spending Audits in 2002. There are some misinformation regarding the K-1 series in your video. The early K-1 ~K-1E variants sported the GPSS/GPTTS (Gen 1) thermal sights, instead of just NVD. I also want to add that the APFSDS shell (K-276) fired by all 120mm fielding K-1 variants are known to penetrate 650mm of RHA at a range of 2km. A further development, such as the K-279 shell is seen more capable than the DM63s, and a bit less capable compared to the M829A3. The K-2, being a whole new tank, has the option to equip hard-kill APS, Top Attack AT rounds, and HEAT-MP rounds that can fend itself from helicopters. The 120, L/55 gun found on the K-2 is of domestic design and production, not a copy of the Rh120 L/55. Another interesting difference between the K-1 and the K-2 is the fact that the loader is replaced with an autoloader. Some interesting variants of the K-2 are the K-2PL (export version to Poland), and the Altay tank. (export version to Turkiye)
@@David_M543 @Rommotti the T-80U is the correct variant, and it was given without fee to South Korea to pay off debts incurred by the now Russian Federation during the Cold War, the BMP-3 was also given, and probably a large supply of ammunition

I still don't see an issue with ROK-Japan. Britain has many of it's former allies (notably India) where they committed horrific genocides, crimes against humanity, and all the other additional aspects of colonialism. But Britain, still under the Union jack and name "Great Britain" in game, represents India, South Africa, and other former colonies. No one complained that the Jaguar or Vijayanta or T-90 Bhishma were in the British tree, as they should, it really doesn't matter and they fit there. India is in the Commonwealth, was a former colony, and has far too few unique vehicles to make a major tech tree. Similarly, these vehicles, although certainly not needed for Britain, adds variety and in the case of South African vehicles, filled in some gaps. The same applies for ROK-Japan. Thailand makes very little sense as a Japanese subtree, sure the nations were allies in WW2 but Thailand itself fills almost zero gaps. And there isn't much else you can give to Japan, they don't make much modern equipment, and other subtrees make little to no sense; the Philippines fit already in the US tree, not to mention, there's like 3 vehicles you can actually use, Taiwan already is in the China tree, same goes for Indonesia, Indochina (Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos) are all much more appropriate for the Chinese tree, being Asian Communist or former Communist nations (as the T-34 AA was a Vietnamese tank put into the Chinese tree, even though I'm sure many Vietnamese would equally not like to be part of the China tree as South Koreas in the Japanese tree, but it's where they just fit best, there's no political statement being made), Malaysia I guess is the only other option but that's a massive stretch, and if we're using the argument of Japanese colonial crimes as a reason South Korea shouldn't be added, same applies for Malaysia. So really, it just makes sense from a purely gameplay perspective. Japan is strong early to mid game, but falls off hard after WW2 in air and ground. Meanwhile, that's around when South Korea gets it's first tanks, in the form of American vehicles, and then further progressing into the modern era with it's own tech, notably it's own APCs, and the K1 and K2 tanks, as well as the K9. You also have American M47s and M48s as well as T-80Us and UKs and MP-3s. You can fill in or just compliment a lot of tanks, and fill in gaps esp, with the M48A5 and early K1s. Meanwhile in the air, instead of like the 5 jets Japanese has, you can give them ROKAF F-86s, F-5s, F-4s, F-16s, F-15Ks, and T-50. Hell, even naval, you can add ROKN FACs and small ships. This will make the Japanese tree much more flushed out and give it more vehicles after WW2 ends. And it's not like combining the JSDF and ROK Armed Forces isn't unheard of, Wargame: Reddragon had the "Blue Dragon" faction, which was, drumroll please, Korea and Japan, and it was a great deck to play with and I didn't remember Eugen's HQ burning down. Not to mention, both nations are Asian, American-aligned, capitalist democracies that, in the event of a global war, would 99.9% likely ally with each other and the US, so it's not like it's unrealistic or something. Just rename "Japan" to "Japan-Korea" and change the flag to both of them side by side if people are really gonna fuss over it that much. Idk why anyone would, after all, the Taiwanese part of the Chinese tree is under the PRC flag in game, but I digress. TL;DR: Add South Korea as a Japanese subtree and rename Japan to Japan-Korea. If Wargame can do it, no reason War Thunder can't. Edit: "Israel is also really small" 1) Where do you put them? America, France and UK are all big enough, and Israel uses vehicles from all 3 plus others plus their own domestic supply 2) Israel is so ungodly controversial that it's probably best left as it's own thing. 3) The Israeli tree sucks ass, I don't want another like it. Same goes to the Chinese tree, it's just America/Russia for a while until far down the tree, but you can't really do China any other way. Plus, I personally advocate for
Damn, you make some pretty good arguments. I agree that Korea being added to Japan really shouldn't be too controversial, as you said, in a large real world event they would likely become allies. I personally still think it would be best as it's own tech tree, again it would likely be a similair size to Israel but with a much larger variety of vehicles instead of just 50 M60's. Knowing Gaijin however, my guess would still be Korea becoming a sub tree for the US, simply because it's a way more populair nation than Japan. But again knowing Gaijin it could go every which way, but I wouldn personally not be too upset if Korea gets added to Japan.

Apparently Gaijin doesn't want to add Ukrainian vehicles, for one reason or another🤷♂️
@David_M543 ok not ukrani bat like the Balkana in the game
Would definitely be cool to see, but I don't think they have very populair vehicles so I don't think they'll be added any time soon I'm afraid.
Can you do turkish tech tree pls
Will definitely do at some point
진짜 나오면 좋겠지만 그럴일이 없음ㅠ
I think (South) Korean vehicles will inevitably be released, though likely just as a sub tree
Poland Sub-Tree
I'd love to see that, they have some pretty interesting vehicles.
Imo ex soviet satelite states should have their own tree insead of speparate subtrees
@M3rl1n177 I disagree. Cause Poland has Abrams A2SEPv3, Leopard 2A5-7s, T80s and 72s, and K2s.
@@Epsilon434 Poland dont have t80. Poland have modernised t72am1/twardy wich are more like t90a. Also we use leo2a4/5 and leo2pl, m1a1sa and sepv3.
Rn I got math, fuck that, time to watch one of your videos lol
I'll allow it as long you get back to work afterwards
@@David_M543 We watched a movie, this is better
@@David_M543 Also I wanted to ask, do you have any sort of community server, if no, did you think about creating one?
I have gotten the request for a discord server before, and I'll likely make one at some point. It's just that I have no experience running a discord server, especially one with people I don't know. But idk, if I ever make one I'll let you know!
@David_M543 Creating the server itself is pretty easy, hard thing is the moderation. You could either use automod bot such as Carl bot or tell your friends about it, if you need help with it, ask away
US TT let's fucking go
Can't wait for the US to get added to game🙏🙏🙏
Koreans in naming their war vehicles, K1, K2 ,K3 ,K4, K5 forget abt the cool names just put K and numbers
Yeah, silly Koreans. Anyway, I love my American M1
Well, it translates into "stupid" in Korean. Is this a joke?

South Korea tt in wt will be huge update entire game time
True, would be so cool to see!
Bro I’m Korean live in Aus but United Korean is should be not happen and I don’t want it 😂
I think it could happen, but seperate trees would definitely be best yes

그럼 영국은 세계 30%를 자국 트리에 위치시킬 수 있습니다
I think he just meant that at that time Korea only had Japanese vehicles. Still, I don't think it would make for a very interesting low tier imo.

Edit: "Israel is also really small"
1) Where do you put them? America, France and UK are all big enough, and Israel uses vehicles from all 3 plus others plus their own domestic supply
2) Israel is so ungodly controversial that it's probably best left as it's own thing.
But again knowing Gaijin it could go every which way, but I wouldn personally not be too upset if Korea gets added to Japan.
does north Korea and do they even have the capability to manufacture in house tanks and planes?.....I feel like north Korea would use a lot of russian tech while the south uses mostly US tech which would mean any tech tree for south/north Korea would essentially be a copy paste tree and personally I don't think we need any more copy paste.
Admittedly they do have a good amount of Soviet stuff yes, but they have more than enough unique vehicles for at least a sub tree I think
남북통일트리 출시안할거면 걍 출시하지마라 가이진
I'm afraid they wont make it a seperate tech tree, but you never know with Gaijin
:O am first :D
Good job, I'm proud of you
