The information I have is that the reason North Korea never had IFVs in its arsenal has to do with their mechanized doctrine. In the North Korean mindset, "mechanization" means "using motor vehicles to safely transport soldiers to the frontline", not "using motor vehicles to transport and coordinate combat with infantry". The North Koreans known the idea of combined arms warfare, but in their doctrine, their infantry would often fight as foot infantry, supposedly to create flexibility and surprise in combat in the complex terrain conditions that were common on the Korean peninsula and not well suited to large-scale Soviet-style armored operations. As a result, the doctrine would have a large requirement for APCs and trucks, but almost no need for IFVs. APCs and trucks would carry infantry to an assembly point, where the infantry would dismount and walk to the fighting area, while the vehicles would either fall back to safety, or return to pick up subsequent columns of troops.

@ so we know from the past and other tech trees that for the most part, gajin wont add the same vehicle too many times if there wasn’t a large enough upgrade, and here there are a lot of vehicles that are basically the same, like the T-62 series of tanks. This would create a huge bulge around 8.0-maybe 10.0 but would leave the lower ranks very empty, and the higher ranks would have no truly competitive support vehicles like IFVs like you say. Also a complete lineup means supporting aircraft too. And the North Korean airforce is extremely limited as to what they have to the point there would be no reason to make it. Which would mean it would be a ground only nation. And I don’t think Gajin will do another Israel any time soon. But at least Israel had helicopter and air trees that are competitive and expanding.
You would have to make a combined Korea tree, but not only would that be a political nightmare, the two nations are literal polar opposites with absolutely no correlation in their vehicles whatsoever. Because you then take South Korea from Japan where it is very much needed.
@@OCS-vr7my You make some good points, though I disagree with your point on copy paste vehicles. Last update was at least 70 percent copy paste and there's no sign of this trend slowing down. Besides that I think most Chonma's are more than unique enough to earn a spot in game. I would have to agree on your point on top tier options being limited. There are a couple of support vehicles, but really not much. Air force I honestly have no knowledge of. I personally would be fine with just the 3 Chonma 2's for top tier, but I can understand if most people wouldn't be. I still think both Korea's could be added one way or another, but I understand your point of view, I always love conversations like these!
Please do India next.
@@AryanKumar-fz2dm I put up a vote in my community tab, you can vote there between India and Thailand. Thailand is currently winning, but it's pretty damn close rn!
@@David_M543 Did my bit. I hope India, wins.
they purchase to many igla
@@ibnusolehudin2236 And I do not mind at all
if i were to guess, i'd say the least controversial way to add north and south korea is for south to go to japan and north to china
@stijnjanssens571 For sure, perhaps South Korea could go to the US. I still think they should be separate trees, but subtrees I wouldn't mind
@@David_M543 yeah fair enough, south could go to the US, but I feel like the Japanese tech tree could use a sub-tree to fill it out a bit more..
@stijnjanssens571 I agree, but they're already getting Thailand, and I'm not sure Gaijin will add 2 different subtrees to a single tech tree. We'll have to wait and see though
@@David_M543 well.. the BeNeLux sub tree for France is 3 countries in one
@stijnjanssens571 Well yes, but they're grouped together as one subtree, I doubt they'll do the same with Thailand and Korea
cool. now do Poland
@@filet_foka1694 Poland will be covered in the future, as mentioned at the end of the video I first have some other countries lined up
@David_M543 👍👍👍
Buddy you should add "War thunder" in the name...
@@OcelotSF Now that you mention it, that is fair. I changed the title and I will add it to future ones. If you confused this video with a different game I'd love to know which one!

does it get iglas? No?? must not be north korean then
@avoxyisbetterthanyou Very true 😂
Well at least Gaijin would be safe from leaks in their forums, since peoples in North Korea don't have internet.
