The fact that the fiancé isn’t pushing this to be investigated like her own father speaks VOLUMES!
Agree 100%
Obviously it was him and he has ""contacts""
@Maithili Deshmukh the REAL question is, WHY is this even possible....
Not to mention that he moved on only a year and a half afterward and got married. Super suspicious.
@@SherbertLime ehh, is that really suspicious though? That's a decent amount of time. What should be considered not suspicious? 5 years? 10? Never remarrying? I'm not trying to say I don't think he did it, I don't know. He very well could have but I just don't see moving on after a year or so to be suspicious.

He is the only one who could have motives and she sure would have been surprised and stabbed on the back if the door got kicked down. It's weird that the police went straight forward for the suicide and did everything possible to cover up the fiancee. He doesn't even have an alibi.

Who stops washing fruit to suddenly start stabbing their self? That's ridiculous.
Poor woman.
very true, why tf would she make herself a snack if she planned on killing herself
Exactly. That make no sense! If she was going to kill herself, why start making fruit? She could've done a number of other things, or nothing at all if she was trying to make everything seem normal to Sam, before he went to work out. I think he rigged the door to latch from the inside somehow, as he was leaving to "workout," after killing Ellen. I apologize for any disrespect or insensitivy, that someone finds in my statement. But I do think it was Sam.
Right?! So to recap..
She googled “painless methods of suicide“ and “quickest suicide”.
She stops at the gas station on the 2.5 mile drive home from work *during* *a* *snowstorm* in order to put gas in her car.
She gets home and starts making a fruit salad.
Then before she finishes slicing fruit.. she decides to kill herself in perhaps the most painful and agonizing way possible.
That’s really what they expect us to believe🙄
this was exactly my first thought! does not make sense
@@alexandriaocasio-smollett5078 I don't think most people would choose stabbing themselves multiple time to commit suicide.
The way he texted her “I’m getting pissed” and “You better have a good excuse”. You can tell he was toxic and did not treat her with respect.
Exactly
The "you better have a good excuse" just screams I know your dead but I need to act like I don't know yet
Right?? Why would his texts not be alarmed/empathetic? He’s completely self concerned. That in itself says so much.
yeah he "became worried" but was messaging her all these very rude & toxic things.
Yes, my thought would be maybe she's in the bathroom or shower and can't hear me, or she's gone to the shop. We've all been in the situation where you are at the front door and can't get the attention of the person in the house. You may get a bit exasperated, but not so rude.
i automatically got a bad feeling when kendall read out sam's texts to her when she didn't open the door. such an aggressive reaction.
I know that this is wrong but I would be mad too
For the two of you who are getting mad because a door isn't opened and you would immediately get mad that baffles me. If you're response is extreme anger and abusive responses then that's super toxic and you should change it. Those texts were major red flags for me when I heard them. (Especially since I've both witnessed an abusive relationship and been in one). Especially the last text, "You have no idea ... ". That right there is the major telling sign of that relationship being abusive. For me, if my spouse had locked the door and I knew it had only been 30 minutes I would get slightly annoyed because, hey I'm coming back, but if I texted and called with no response my next immediate response would be extreme worry. For example, my spouse has asthma and a history of having a collapsed lung. So I would be trying to claw my way into the door or window to make sure I could see if he was okay. Saying that, she was taking meds to help her mental health issues. He should have been like, "Oh no. I hope she's okay. I need to get in there ASAP and make sure she's okay."
But I agree with the OP. Those texts being read allowed made my heart drop.
Also note the texts to his girlfriend could’ve been made up, if she was killed beforehand. Or he texted all that before she was killed.
Same! Why would he instantly turn into saying things that violently?? My boyfriend and I always joke around etc and if we were texting each other to unlock the door or something and we didn’t answer right away we wouldn’t jump from 0 to 100 and be that violent to each other because we LOVE and RESPECT each other. I believe it was sam, I got the same feeling when she read what he was saying to her all for not unlocking a door
@@SherbertLime u very right, but not in a case of rich fface from NBC, she had to put up with him to not disappoint her father, very sad....she was so pretty and she sounded like a good person, I know Kendall want us to b kind w/ comments, but Ellen should b w/her parents when she wasn't feeling well ( my heart dropped hearing about her wanting to go back home )

As an emergency room nurse for 26 years, I can tell you that I have never once seen someone brought in for a suicide attempt by stabbing themselves, and 20 times at that! 🧐
Right! And let's be real, ER nurses see the worst of the freaking worst.
Thank you for your service!
As a trauma nurse specialist, 15 years of experience, I did see 1 case who stabbed her abdomen once- but she didn’t die. 20 times?! Is bizarre!!!!!
@@GS-jk5ij its EXTREMELY rare for anyone to attempt to stab themselves to death and EVEN MORE RARE to actually die from it. This is definitely a Homicide and there's only ONE person with opportunity and motive.
Yeah, I’m in forensic path and I’ve only seen a few people die from self-inflicted knife injuries. Wrist. One neck. Hesitancy mark and then a deep cut. Never multiple stabs
She had old bruises. She wanted to move back in with her parents. Her mental health had changed. I think her fiancé was abusing her and he probably killed her. I got bad vibes the second I saw a photo of him.
I agree 100%. A lot of time people keep their abuse to themselves because of the shame that comes with it. "How could I let this happen?" "How did I miss the signs?" "How do I get out of this with minimal impact on my life?" "What about all this wasted time?" "What would everyone think?" "What if they actually change this time?" There are just so many reasons. I don't believe for a second that someone could stab themselves 20 times, let alone to the back of the neck.
I too get the feeling he might have done it. The searches on the computer prove either she was looking cuz of the situation she was in or he himself made the searches. I don't think the computers is good evidence.
He’s on video all throughout his time after leaving the apartment, all blood evidence is in the kitchen, and no one heard a scream. Had he attacked her she would have screamed AND struggled. He would be covered head to toe in blood. And the time of death would not fit as you can’t clean up the mess you would make in a manner of minutes, it would take a couple hours at least.
@@nbcboy20 i don't know but if he attacked her from behind, stabbed her and did something to make her unable to move who's to say he did not cover her mouth and muffled the sound from behind wasnt there also sign of stragngulation ? Or did I make that up ? Mayb she was unconscious je stabbed her making her unmobile.. wasnt sum issue with her spine found. Then he stabbed her in front an propped her up. Mayb there was blood on jus not alot. He could of cleaned up at the gym. Y he had on construction boots msyb blood just hot on his sneakers. There are so many variables of things that could of happened. I find it unlikely she killed herself but thats my opinion. I'm going with your opinion
It worries me that victims of abuse often get labeled with a mental health disorder when the actual problem is they are being abused and may not even realise it.
May she Rest In Peace
This.
It's their way of discrediting and trying to silence the person.
YES. When I was being manipulated and gaslighted by my ex-husband I thought I was the one who was losing my mind.
@@gettingthereblog The history of psychiatry is littered with abusers aided by psychiatrists. And having worked with victims for over 30 years not much has changed.
I’ve only heard of a couple of psychiatrists and also lawyers who are beginning to challenge this.
I also notice so many psych labels for abused women but not one single official psych name for the men who so cruelly abuse and even kill.
I got diagnosed with anxiety for years and PTSD and i was abused for 37 years by my birth givers until i had people that helped me flee.
Also... HUGE red flag for me was the fact he texted her saying "I'm getting pissed", "you have no idea" and " you better have an excuse"... um excuse me???? That to me shows his abusive side. Who texts their fiancee those type of messages because she has supposedly "locked a door"!?!?
The comment I was looking for! And he was only gone for 30 min supposedly. She could have hopped in the shower for all he knows, its not like he was stuck outside for hours and increasingly got pissed. So aggressive for no reason
I was going to keep an open mind and give him the benefit of the doubt initially, keep an open mind etc but that was the first thing that made me jump back on the "the boyfriend did it" train immediately
Yes, no one should be talked to this way. Toxic.
I had the exact same thoughts and we hadn't even got to all the suspicious stuff that happened later on.
Also her change in behavior and her not wanting to talk about it, my first suspicion would have been relationship issues. Especially because she wanted to come home. It is odd that she didn't want to call off the marriage but that might have been because she was ashamed of her second thoughts and didn't want to out him yet.
That's what I was thinking too! And it seemed like that wasn't the first time of him talking or texting to her like that.
Sam was the last person to see her alive, wore boots to the gym, and didn’t notify her family before they found out through the media??? Are we really gonna act like that’s not sketchy? Such a tragic and frustrating story, RIP angel Ellen
Plus he was only at the gym for like 30 mins. And those texts he sent after "finding" the door locked do not seem like a normal reaction to me (not even a little worried, just very angry and volatile).
RIGHT , through the whole video I’m like ‘it’s Sam it’s Sam!’

She had all the signs of a domestic abuse victim. Historic bruises, fear and anxiety, personality change, wanting to move back in with her parents etc.
the fiancées behavior after the fact is extremely suspicious. The fact that his relatives came in and took all the laptops phones etc is clearly a sign of deliberate evidence tampering.

@@melyangelissperez2556 the laptop thing is insane what more evidence do they need that something sus is going on (reminder to sign the petition in the description of video to reopen the case)
My thoughts EXACTLY! I feel like Sam got off big time.. he was able to "move on" because he had influential family members that either had ties to the police or knew how to cover up crimes... This is terrifying, to think all this evidence is out here and people who don't have any police training or background can look at this objectively and be like, "yeah, Sam did it!" is nauseating and infuriating!!
@@dinorocks4887 exactly!!!! Like wtf
if they erased something from the computer police can easily get them back, its 2021, its not like you delete something and that is really gone. but ofc they need to do this with todays technology. i believe it was still doable in 2011. maybe even more easy.
The fact that these poor parents have to describe their daughter's wounds is something I can't even imagine. My heart goes out to these parents
i support that statement 100000x. and the fact that they had to look at the autopsy photos themselves.. that mustve been so painful.

I totally agree with you it's heartbreaking. It's really atrocious.
Those are some pretty aggressive texts for being accidentally locked out.
Those were my exact thoughts also. When Kendall read them out loud it gave me the hibby jeebies. They were full of Nasty aggressive words & only about him, not any worry towards her!
And why wouldn't he call her than text?
My thoughts exactly!!
When I first heard it, my only logical explanation is that he thought she was cheating on him with someone in there.
yep. exactly
it was Sam:
1. he was extremely aggressive in the text messages while he was supposedly worried. also why not call after the first text
2. he lied about the security guard going with him which means sam could lie abt the lock & the door could've been damaged prior
3. who goes to the gym for only 30 minutes? also in boots?
4. he called his uncle (an attorney) and his parents BEFORE the police
5. there are different knife markings yet only one knife found
6. why look up painless suicide then stab yourself 20 times?
7. She had bruises old and new, Sam told cops it was from yoga but she didn't do yoga?
8. keep in mind luminal testing was not done so blood could've been anywhere.
Thank you
I will say that when I had a gym in my apartment building like they do, I’d sometimes go for only 20-30 minutes just to get a quick workout in on days I don’t feel like it. But I definitely agree he’s guilty
This is a perfect summation! 👏👏👏
Also, is yoga even something you get bruises from? Because I’ve never gotten any
Who cuts up fruit then says well that was yummy, time to off myself? Thats the part that bugged me.
The way he texted her was the key note of an abusive tendency or an abusing relationship
EXACTLY!
That was super weird! I would expect him to be concerned, but he was pissed.
Definetely, thought the same thing! My first idea would be maybe she is sleeping ir listening to a music and then maybe that something bad has happened. But in no way I would get angry like that for such thing...
It does make me think he isn’t involved though, because I don’t think he would have been sending her nasty messages if he knew she was dead and he would probably be a suspect 👀 the messages husbands send as a cover are usually sugary sweet to try and make themselves look innocent, ie Chris Watts...
@@aproxamillionwasps474 But what if he was guilty and had thought this out beforehand? What if he thought guilty men always send sugary sweet messages - I better send aggressive ones so they don't suspect me. The fact that he texted and didn't phone is also a huge red flag.

This gave me chills. We are in the same situation here in NY. Our Daughter died in 2004 and she had been married for only 3 months at the time of her death. Her husband was questioned by several detectives. He has been recorded stating he gave her her medicine, and when the toxicology came back, that med was not in her system, but 21 different medications were listed that had not been prescribed to her ever. After the funeral, he disappeared. We learned that he remarried a little over 2 months since her passing. We took all evidence that we had to the District Attorney, and like you we were told there was nothing they can do without concrete evidence. I express my sincere condolences to the family in this frustrating fight for Justice for our loved ones. I pray that one day we will get that justice for your daughter and mine.

So since the security guard didn’t even leave his desk, there were no witnesses to the door being latched from the inside. And the police are relying on her fiancé’s word despite all evidence. Disgusting.
Exactly... And his relatives went there before the police and the second day aswell and got the laptops.. Wtf... It s clearly suspicious and because all of this I think it s his fault. Hope that justice will be eventually served! It s sad to see when the police instead of protecting the victim it s protecting a killer.
Yes I was wondering that too. Maybe the door wasn’t actually locked.
I couldn't believe it when Kendall said that towards the end!!! Not only did he not accompany him to the door, witness the deadbolt being on... he DID witness that Sam had on TIMBERLAND style BOOTS... from training..? Sure Jan!
I agree with this, it might not have even been latched from the inside. There is literally no one who can confirm it was truly was locked from the inside. Even if it was locked from the inside and he did bust open the door, and I think there are many ways to make it easier, like how one of the screws was removed and not found on the ground - he most likely removed the screw earlier and probably loosened the other screws to make it easier to break in
@@akmiller9456 very true! I kept thinking,,, but how did sam lock it!??? Yeah he probably fkn didn't!

Even though her psychiatrist/therapist said she never mentioned her relationship as a stressor and her parents never heard her complain about the relationship, that doesn’t mean anything. I was never in a physically abusive relationship, but I was involved in a very toxic and emotionally abusive relationship, and when I started going to therapy, I didn’t disclose how bad my relationship was until months into our sessions. I didn’t want to admit how terrible it was, and I was embarrassed to talk about it, especially with my family. I also thought, “maybe he will change if I get better”… I say this because I imagine she wanted to make her relationship work. God bless her and her family! I am praying for Justice for Ellen!
So why aren’t they focusing more on the fact that Sam’s story doesn’t line up. If he lied about the security guard says he never left his desk how do we know that the door was actually locked from the inside? The damage to the door could have been done prior when they got in a fight or something. I think that this guy knew what he was doing. He contacted his family lawyer and they helped cover his tracks.
I think he killed her in a fit of anger before he “went to the gym”. Just hearing the text he sent to her when he couldn’t open the door. He is supposed to be scared but yet he is yelling at her and swearing at her. He sounds like he had a temper and I don’t think this is the first time he had been emotionally or physically abusive to her.

This is def a homicide. Someone was on her computer and looked that stuff up or maybe it was her, but I don’t believe she did this to herself. Whoever did it wanted to make it look like a suicide. This is just awful and my condolences go out to the family of this beautiful young lady.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
right... literally one of the most painful ways to die probably, aside from fire. also I have a hard time believing most humans could even override their survival instinct enough to STAB THEMSELVES 20 times. like I get suicide is a thing, obviously, but most suicide methods don't require that level of self violence. idek if I believe that a human could do that to themselves outside of being on like pcp or something, like literally probably would be unable to bring themselves to do that. poor Ellen's case has been utterly botched. I'm so glad she has a good family with the resources and will to fight for her.
I mean...but did they *really* though?...want to make it look like a suicide? b/c they... didn't seem to. They couldn't have made it look *less* like a suicide, if they'd tried
For all we know, Sam could have searched that on her computer in an order to set her up
He probably searched it on her computer to prop up the suicide story….
Good point.👍💯
Sam murdered her. I think they fooled everyone she was in a loving relationship. The fact she wanted to move out means she wanted to run from her abuser.
But she kept up the appearance in public that everything was fine between them so as not to tip Sam off in any way to her plans.
@RJ McFarjay you can’t say that for a fact. You didn’t know her. Can prescriptions mess you up. Yes. Can they make you stab you’re self 20 times and in the back? No. I don’t think you watched the video closely.

It shows his violent nature, that shines through even though he is covering up his tracks. I think it is a sad femicide, where the perpetrator somehow managed to cover up his doings effectively enough to not be convicted. I feel really sorry for the family!
I absolutely agree. My fiance and I live in an apartment building that has an outdoor lock to get into the hallway before you can get to your room door. My fiance looked himself out of the outside door one time and texted me to let him in but I was washing dishes so I didn't see it for maybe 20 minutes. His texts were things along the lines of "are you okay?" "what's going on?"
He never once got mad or violent, just worries about my safety
I've been in a DV relationship, I know those kinds of texts, I was thinking the same thing!
ABSOLUTELY AGREE!
EXACTLY what I was thinking!! It's not normal to say something like that over a locked door, especially if you think it's out of the ordinary!! You'd be a lot more concerned/caring worried. That stuck out the most to me.
I thought this as well! I would never text my partner that
There is NO WAY this woman killed herself. This case is insane.
it's very insulting to her family and to us that they thought we'd believe that! they think we're that stupid??
and a case like this didn't get enough media coverage is very fishy...
ikr?? besides that, i feel like if you stab yourself you will not handle the pain in the second stab, and that scene was clean AF which is weird cause if she did it and she was hurting (from the stabs) she would've made a mess but there was none! Sam needs jail time, he looks pretty guilty to me.
right?! i think Sam lied. He said he went to the gym but he probably killed her before he left and then said he went home and that he was locked out...
I totally question ones credentials that would even consider such insane happenstance.
@@LauhRodriguez He deeeeefinitely lied. Probably went to get the security guy so he could be like "Well, he was with me when I found her, so I couldn't have done it". : c

I 100% agree and it's even possible she searched quick suicide because he was beating her 😔

Seems like Sam knows somebody in the police department. There’s no other reason they’d be this shady and irresponsible with a “regular” family who lost their daughter.
Yes!!! I was thinking that. Or with his uncle being a lawyer. Maybe he had some connects. Very shady
Philly is so corrupt and crappy. They are lax in their jobs too. Been there my whole life
Trash smh. Acab.
It's strange that the media always knew before the family and that they made no attempts to contact her family. It's just all very suspish.
She had old brusises from abuse in different stages of healing, Sam sent her agressive messages to open the door, Sam's family helped him retreive her laptop and other belongings before the police could get it. VERY suspicious. He also wasnt intergated. He wore boots when he was "at the gym." She also literally wanted to get away from her apartment. She asked her parents if she could come back home. It sounds like she was scared of her fiancé. It seems like she was being really careful about what she was telling people. I think Sam is suspicious. He was also quiet and did not do interviews. Not saying it was him, but it seems like it could have been him.
@@reeseharrison2934 that could be possible too
@Lucy Goldsmith if the first stab wound was that one to the top of her neck (the one that severed/damaged the spinal cord) it would have disabled/paralysed her instantly, and she wouldn't have been able to fight back. most likely scenario (to me) is sam came up behind her, stabbed her in the back of the neck first, and then continued the attack
He definitely did it and disposed of the knife and or evidence at the gym. Used something like a clothes hanger to lock the safety lock. Blows my mind they keep talking about suicide . 🤬
@Lucy Goldsmith That blood dripping back from nose to ear and dried means it happened somewhere else.
I agree exactly with what your saying Taylor & Jessica as well there could be a second person involved in the apartment knowing her boyfriend waiting to help or he never left the apartment till he killed her.
I'm 20 minutes in and am already convinced there's no way she did this to herself.
Yeah it’s not possible to stop yourself that many times
If she was surprised by the attack and the severed spinal cord came early enough, that would definitely explain the lack of defensive wounds.
The text messages seem really fake, why didn't he call her, it seems the most direct way to contact her. The text messages were also very aggressive. The latch lock does not seem to be very secure if someone can easily kick the door in, this seems like a major red flag to me. It feels like the fuss at the door was set up to call attention to him "finding" his girlfriend in distress. I really feel for this family, fighting for justice, I hope everyone finds peace eventually
I 100% agree!!
I thought the same thing. He sounds very aggressive and escalated very quickly! If you’re happy and getting married soon you wouldn’t be treating somebody like that! He is guilty guilty guilty!
Yup, the security guard was his witness. A well planned murder. Unfortunately he will likely go free.
I know for a fact if my fiance locked me out (knowing mental illness is going on) I would call maybe 3 times and then call the police. There would be NO texting at all. Never would I think to just text and be angry I would be crying and a mess.
Right, it's weird that he didn't call her or that he didn't get more worried and attempt to get in forcefully any sooner. He knew she was struggling with her mental health and for something seemingly so strange that he wasn't more concerned but instead outraged. If he wasn't concerned about anything why was he so angry that the door was locked. I think it's strange that he had the key and didn't peak in to see if anything was wrong even though he couldn't fully get the door open. Or that he didn't call her family in at all.
The fiancé did it. This was out of rage. He wanted someone to be a witness when he found her dead. I can't believe the police were so stupid.
I agree with 100%, Sam did it! But I was also thinking that maybe the police weren’t stupid and they were payed off by his uncle the attorney or they took away the evidence like the other knife that was used and cleaned up all the blood! But just a theory of course.
I pray someone honest investigates. This would be an easy case to solve .
And Sams current wife would know he's guilty. I'm sure he is abusive to her as well.
He absolutely did it. But he’s a rich NBC producer, and Philly cops are notoriously corrupt and incompetent. So here we are...
Police aren't stupid, they're corrupt. Whenever they have a chance to avoid the ruling of an additional homicide, they take it. The less homicides for their city/town, the better. It's incredibly fucked up.
being stabbed 20times tells us everything:
Someone was angry.
It was murder.
Exactly it was out of rage. They should of been able to tell that
its unbelievable
That's like homicide 101, there was clearly a personal connection to her killer.
And the way she was found propped up against the cupboards, I doubt you’d fall in that way as a result of suicide
💯💯💯 and it was personal
If Sam did this, it’s only a matter of time for the truth to be revealed. Abusers never stop being abusive. Would be nice to know how he treats his current wife.
Ikr.
Unlikely, since he got a very powerful, wealthy family and they have alot of connections. He definitely did it and knew he can easily get away with it, with the connections they have in the police department etc..
His current wife is Caroline Fay Shnay. She's a clothing buyer for Scoop NYC.
The fact that she suddenly wanted to walk away from everything she loved and worked hard for and that she was asking to return to her parent's home would have been a huge red flag to me. And my thoughts would have instantly been drawn to her fiance. Is it possible to fasten a slip lock as you're exiting? If it is, I would certainly look more into him. I honestly think she was being abused and was too ashamed to admit it to her family and friends, which is common for domestic violence victims. One thing is for sure, she did not do this to herself.
I’m sure there is. I live in Las Vegas and know there are ways to open those locks so I’m sure you could reverse the process.
And she continued with the wedding because she felt she had to - if she called it off it'd be obvious something was wrong and questions would be asked. It's possible he even threatened her if she was to
It’s definitely possible. There are videos on RUclips showing how you can do it with a string.
Depending on how extended the lock is and how loose the hinges of it are you can actually get it to close as you are slamming it shut.
Everyone arguing about the lock.. Etc... It was tampered with... Screw missing & small pieces of wood... With the argument why not consider this.... Umm locked door severe injuries to back of ELLEN'S NECK & POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO SPINAL CORD... NOT SELF INFLICTED... NO WAY.!!!! JUST CAN'T BE DONE!!!! 💯

EXACTLY!!! And seriously WHO chooses to stab themselves at a means of suicide in this day and age.. No one does that anymore!!! Because u can do it quickly and painlessly with a gun or with pills! And let’s say she did go into some manic episode and decided to stab herself.. WHY would she reach around and start stabbing herself in the back of the neck?!? That literally makes zero sense. And these idiot police should be able to determine this by the direction of the stab wounds! I think the fiancé did it. That’s what I was thinking that is a way too many drugs and I’m sorry, but I was prescribed Ambien and Xanax at the same time and it’s actually illegal to do that. I was hospitalized after accidentally taking two Ambien because I was sleepwalking and I ran into my dresser. You are not supposed to prescribe those together. I was playing with my gun and talking gibberish to my brother on the phone at the time. I literally don’t remember any of it, and it’s the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced. This really feels like a case of Domestic violence turned homicide. Everything right down to the changes in her mood is right on the nose. I can't believe the police didn't immediately treat the case like a homicide and investigate more thoroughly, especially with multiple stab wounds and stab wounds to the back of the neck. Suicide by stabbing is incredibly rare and even more rare for there to be more than 1 stab, much less 20.

Here's my theory:
Sam was an abusive man, and I suspect that Ellen and Sam had gotten into a huge fight, and then Sam attacked her. In a furious rage, he hit her and then proceeded to stab her 10 times. Also, Kendall says that Ellen's personality changed and she wanted to move in with her parents. That's a huge clue that Sam was abusive. For Ellen was murdered by Sam. I agree and when Sam “went to the gym” I think he was actually disposing the knife and he was in boots to the gym🤨🤨🤨
I think you’re right. She probably didn’t tell anybody since she loved him so much. She could have been cutting fruit for a snack, they got in a big argument and he ended up using one of the knives to stab her out of anger. I think maybe after he stabbed her, since the blood on her was running a different direction than it would have been if she was sitting up, that she probably fell and was laying on the floor, then he propped her up and tried to set up the whole thing to make it look like it was a suicide. He took the knife and disposed of it somewhere where nobody could find it, made sure none of his dna was on her throughout, then found a way to lock the door from the outside from the internet like she said. Then acted like he was going to the gym even though he was wearing boots so that he would have an alibi. I think they should definitely do more investigating on her fiancé, especially considering how nobody else was seen during the time of her murder, that he’s the only one that could have access to their apartment and be able to lock it from the outside somehow, and how bizarre her stab wounds are to be considered a suicide. Her family deserves more answers.

Like, the lack of urgency and care about the details aggravate me the most! You guys are literally ruining lives, leaving families with little to no one closure!
I think her anxiety was coming from being domestically abused if she was acting weird and had previous bruises.
this!! i was in an abusive relationship and i felt so ashamed and i didn’t tell anybody what was going on and i just would just say “i just have a lot of anxiety there’s just a lot going on in my life”. i know everyone is different but it’s not uncommon for victims to be completely silent about the abuse that happens behind closed doors.
Deja Jazmyn Definitely! VERY few people knew what was really going on in our home with my abusive narcissist “father” until after things resorted to a 911 call, him leaving the house being arrested, and us filing an order of protection. Even the people who were aware of some of the abuse prior to everything crashing down, had no idea the full extent of everything. It’s hard to talk about and admit, because abusers know how to create enough shame in their victims in order to keep them quiet. It’s an abuser’s safety net, and they are incredibly skilled at it. I’d say it’s EXTREMELY rare for those dealing with domestic abuse to be fully honest and forthcoming about it to their loved ones, both because of shame and fear, and because they don’t want to worry anyone. Especially loving parents like Ellen had. The way she was behaving absolutely checks of countless red flags of abuse, and then coupled with the bruises, it makes it very hard to believe that this was “just” a suicide caused by depression. On top of it all, multiple repeated stab wounds do not align at all with suicide, but they DO align with a crime of passion homicide by someone who was close to the victim. Which again, fits perfectly with the killer being an abuser, as they often carry out murder via a crime of passion. An abusive narcissistic rage is frightening and unpredictable, and there is no telling just how far they will take things when their eyes go black. There is no way to control it or stop it once it reaches the point of no return, unless you are able to call 911 and have police get there in time, which is something I’m fortunate for in my mother and I’s situation the night they saved us. Ellen’s story is heartbreaking, and I pray that her and her family get the justice they deserve. God bless them.

Explain why she’d be making fruit super casually if she was going to end her life before she ate it?
Right?!? That stood out to me.
PLEASE ask Kendall to cover the Jessica Boynton case, similar thing happened to her, she's still alive though but she never got justice
My thoughts exactly
I believed from the very first that Sam murdered her. The bruising in various stages, the way he acted when he wanted her to open the door, all told me he had been abusing her and he murdered her. The police work on this case was extremely inferior. Whoever was in charge of the investigation should stop and think about how they would feel if it was their daughter who had been murdered. My heart goes out to her parents who love their daughter and grieve her loss. Justice would not bring her back, but it would help them to know they didn’t give up and fought to get justice for their beloved daughter.
The fact that this Channel introduces me to cases I’ve never heard of
well thts the point and purpose of the channel...
@@FlyyHigh834 no it's not. The point is to bring attention to cases, whether they've been covered by others or not. Every time they're covered is more chance for someone to maybe remember something that could lead to solving these cases.
@@FlyyHigh834 I’m a crime fan and this channel introduces me to new cases
It’s so sad to me how many possible murders are written off as suicide. Obviously only Ellen knows what really happened but that is just such an odd way to end your life. If she was acting so odd I really think she might’ve been abused, too scared to tell her parents but also wanting to move back in with them... she was probably really confused? It could be a total stranger also who’s just a criminal mastermind. They should’ve investigated her fiancé more than just looking at the camera footage. Also if she searched up “painless suicide” wouldn’t she just OD on her meds? Or just slit her carotid artery? Too much is wrong with this case.
exactly! if she wanted to commit suicide painlessly, that’s a pretty painful way to go. even based on that alone makes me think it definitely wasn’t suicide.
Yep. As an abuse victim I can attest to this. I would randomly tell my mom how I wanted to come back home but just said it was because of my mental health. Whole time I was being badly abused... I resonate with her so much and it kills me that her bf got away with this.
I was thinking maybe her fiance knew he was going to do this and to cover his tracks he searched that on her phone so when the police looked through it they would find those searches.
Yep, I 100% agree with all that you said. It seems like Sam may be the suspect here. Because he has a family member who's an attorney, he probably got all of this covered up (hence why the police were urging that this was a suicide). If this is all true, I can't believe that he got away with murder.
@@taycharlese I wonder what his new wife thinks about him. Isn't an abuser always an abuser? Or wouldn't he show signs of abuse or being aggressive?
Kendall I’ve been emailing you about my missing cousin Marisela Botello. We could really use your help.
Has she been found?
There’s a form in her description you can fill out, her email is probably flooded with people.
@@gorilla-grip-pussy-support7976 thanks I’ve filled out two!!

@@Skummerz19 Good luck! I hope you find her! Keep filling out those forms and tweeting!
The more I hear about cases like this, the more I realize how completely incompetent most United States police forces are 😞
New evidence in this case just yesterday shows that she did not in fact search about suicide in any form!
Where to watch it, please?
@@nikapolskaya8324 i found some links referencing it, but not the source material. What it basically says it that they were phantom searches - things google books as related to current searches even if you didnt search it. In this case, they were phantom searches related to her searching medication side effects.
It mostly was her fiance that typed it to make it seem like she committed suicide..
@@bettywhite5202 they believe it to be a phantom search.
@@pembrokelove That's pretty specific, though. Phantom searches are generalized, but anything that deals with self-harm and suicide are specific searches.
Hearing her parents talk about her wounds breaks my heart. No parent should have to go through what these poor people are going through. Justice for Ellen is needed and deserved!
HOW can her boyfriend be overlooked? This was just pure negligence on everybody's part
He's protected, he's got friends/family in very high places. He %100 got away with murder 😔
Some people have connections in very high places.
I believe my best friend was murdered by her abusive junky ex who almost killed her twice previously and just happened to be there when she died. Hes dangerous, so I submitted an anonymous report. The police closed it, arent interested. Haunts me everyday.
@@thesouluniversal I'm so sorry for your loss. It's heartbreaking to hear
I just signed the petition to reopen & investigate this case. More signatures are needed!!!
Wait a minute...Sam went to the gym with construction boots on, called his parents and attorney uncle before calling 911 (the call to his parents probably started with the words “I messed up” because he killed her and knew he would get in trouble and they told him to call his uncle smh) Then his uncle and cousin go back to the scene and take her laptops and phone BEFORE the police can get to those devices? That’s probably why those searches were found on her computers. I think it was Sam. She and her family deserve justice.
I can't understand why this case wasn't investigated properly and labeled suicide, but Noura went to prison just because.
I made a channel just to respond to this 😂😂 you are so right. Oml makes me so upset.
Maybe he was wearing boots because of the heavy snow
If he didn’t do anything wrong, why would he need to even take her personal computer?
@@eastendersstorylines7822 He went to the gym in their apartment. He wouldn't have been outside.
Her fiancé did it 100% there’s no doubt in my mind. If you love someone there is no way you wouldn’t call 911 before calling anyone else.
Made it 10 minutes into the video. The second I heard the text messages from Sam, I knew he was an abuser and guilty AF. He was trying to establish an alibi and exposed himself. He doesn't even know how to talk to someone like a decent human being. This is infuriating!
THIS!
Agree! And why did he need to have the security guy coming upstair with him if he was that worried? He could just do everything he could if he was truly worried, instead of negotiating with the security guy. Someone needs an alibi real bad
If that's his attempt at not sounding like an abusive shithead, imagine how he must've been like IRL
@@Xforeverlove21 Exactly!!!
I'm fully with you on this
They just re opened this case today right as I was watching it !!! Please do an update
Put the police AND Sam in jail, they’re both guilty af
Someone has frds in the "right" places...
2021 update: it has now been proven that Ellen NEVER made those searches related to suicide methods. This is extremely sketchy.
Link?
How is it proven to not be her? They know it was someone else?
@@britnysnyder4991 the article says “We have a forensic evaluation of the hard drive of Ellen’s computer and laptop which has established that she was not predisposed in searches towards death or suicide or things of that nature”, there’s also been a lot of forensic investigations into whether it is possible to actually stab yourself that many times
Didnt Sam's uncle and cousin get rhier hands on the laptop and phone before police?
@@rue353 so wait. Those searches weren't on there at all? Like that part was made up?
bruises in different states of healing is a real red flag. I'd be curious what Sam's other relationships were like, and if anyone had any allegations of abuse against him.
Riiiight
Idk I bruise pretty dark very easily from everything. People would probably think my hubby beat me if I died but he doesn't..
@@tonyahinrichs8828 Yeah but her mental health changed and her fiancé was kind of aggressive about the door being locked. I understand being frustrated but it shows how quick he is to become aggravated.
@@beatlejuicejune4481 and on top of that he did not care that her death was suspicious and really put no effort in figuring out what happened. Also being calm on 911 cal where you were just upset about the locked door, shouldn't you be more upset about your fiance being dead?
