Psycho ex-boyfriend with black truck who knows she's moved on and having a baby with another man plus has just discovered one child he thought was his, isn't...or 11 year old boy with no motive or criminal history. Wow. Tough one.
Agreed. I don't even know if Adam was the murderer. He could have been. Certainly a more reasonable suspect than Jordan. It does sound like there should have been more investigation into Adam, but the real miscarriage of justice is what happened to Jordan, in my opinion.
Also did the police look enough into it? Seems they took the "evidence" in the house pretty lightly and wasted a lot of time trying to pin the child instead of looking more into other possibilities.
A lot of the comments are saying he couldn't have done it because he's 11...James Bulger's killers were 10, Mary Bell was 10. Sometimes children do kill. Jordan didn't, but some kids do, some kids are crazy!
Psychology has shown that police should only interview children one time and record it, using that recording as the kid's testimony at trial, and if it is necessary to reinterview the child, don't ask the same questions. When kids are asked the same questions over and over, they're going to change their answer because they think they answered incorrectly or didn't give the answer the person was looking for. This is something that's used in school all the time: a teacher asks the class a question, the class gets it wrong, the teacher gives them some sort of help to find the right answer, then reasks the question to get the correct answer. Police can't treat children the same way they do adults, it doesn't work.
Yes, I had to get interviewed when I was younger and I was about 9-11 but I got interviewed by police and by investigators or whoever they were I can't remember but they both asked me questions I had already answered, being the only witness it scared me that I thought I answered wrong and I changed my story a bit, but as a child it should be made sure that even if you're an older kid you should be asked questions by someone who is trained to ask kids these types of questions, not a police officer who deals with adults
I agree, especially since it is said that multiple adults were interviewing the kids, which just puts more pressure to the kids to try to say what the adults want to hear.
@@TheMillerChild no. That’s just not likely don’t go unnecessarily blaming little girls. It’s already bad as it is that the blame was put on an 11 year old kid now you wanna blame little girls? They’re young, they wouldn’t understand the severity of their actions so would just slip up that they were playing with the gun. They wouldn’t know to keep it a secret.
Seriously!!! My youngest son is 11 (gonna be 12 in 2 weeks) and he can’t take a cookie without leaving evidence (ie pantry door open, crumbs, leaving the empty container in the pantry 😂😂)
It’s probably because he was not related to them. My sister is adopted and you would not believe the things she’s been accused of including jealousy of the other kids in the family. It makes me so angry! And I know it’s just because she not blood related. I bet Kenzie’s family had the same feelings about Jordan.
I mean, If there was actual physical evidence then I would side with them, but the fact there was no evidence and it was all based on the police taking the easy way out... Children are capable of murder - look at the case of James Bulger, 2 kids tortured and killed him. But there was actual evidence to convict them. In this case there was no actual evidence. I've watched this video a few times now and each time I'm like why wasn't his hands checked for gun powder residue? Yet the dad was and they ruled him out so I feel if they had actually checked the kid when they arrested him it could have actually been sorted that night.
Yeah they should've been more thorough. Then her family to really believe that he did it is pretty mean. I would've spoken to him at least. Maybe he just didn't like her family?
The fact that his football friends had parents who were understanding enough to allow their children to visit him made me tear up. That poor boy. Our justice system really breaks my heart sometimes.
That was the moment in this video when I said huh. Doesnt make sense that ALL those parents would be okay with that unless they believed that Jordan was innocent.
And why did Kenzie ask him to stay home THAT day? She still had two weeks to go. Why did she not want to be alone that day? Because her ex was gunning for her and probably made a very recent and specific threat. I'm guessing checking phone records wasn't necessary after all their hot shot detective work sniffing guns, looking at snow and testing laundry piles for GSR.
I partly agree. I had thought that too at first. Like it seems weird that day specifically she wanted him to stay home. Almost like she wanted protection because she feared something would happen. With how heavily pregnant she was, she probably wouldn't be able to run very fast and protect herself and her 4 year old daughter. However, the only part that makes no sense to that theory is, if she had a feeling her ex would be there, why not have told Chris why she wanted him to stay home?
Idk, it’s not all unbelievable for someone to have the baby that early. Plus she may have just been feeling really pregnant and symptomatic that day. I still think it was likely the ex tho.
@@fidelianerina what if she wasnt comfortable talking about that part of her life and just him in general or maybe the way he got in contact with her could have been avoided and maybe she willingly answered him and was ashamed of how far it gotten to where she didnt feel safe in her home? idk theres so many possibilities
Well, they murdered someone, who was VERY pregnant. I doubt that having a little kid take the fall is something that a person like that would get upset about. I would imagine that the murderer was just happy that it was little Jordan locked up instead of them.
Jordan and Janessa left around 8:15 according to the 4yr old, when she finally spoke out she said she woke up to a sound of the gunshot around 9am. The detectives thought her statement wouldn’t be credible enough because she was so young.
I agree. I also think asking around at school, further questioning the tree people, and getting some genuine analysis on that gun would be a good idea too. So much was overlooked here
I believe that right when they left to school something happened to Kenzie and because the guns were what Jordan and his father used for hunting the ex wore gloves when he did so in order to frame the dna on Jordan
Omg i was thinking the same thing because her story changed everytime they talked to her not only that her story even changed in the trial at less 2 different times then she makes up that her dad raped her and she get off scoot free and this little boy changed his story 1 time N lost everything in a blink of an eye come the hell on
also after the ex had found out one of the kids he thought was their's wasn't, like obviously he would be mad at her AND the unborn kid because the new kid was with a different guy as well as one of the girls he thought was his own
I mean I’ve driven around and had snow stay on a truck. It’s called driving carefully 😂. But like if you want to make it look like you didn’t then drive super slow so the snow doesn’t move. But also..Like what if Adam was the one on the other end of the phone that the daughter mentioned was ringing? Like calling to see if anyone noticed him?
@@mckennacousineau8781 And also, where was the snow? Was it on the hood, specifically, or was it in the bed? Did the cop specify? Not all cops have integrity.
Gotta love how her father only said he didn’t like Jordan and he was a troubled kid but then provided no anecdotal evidence. I’ve met some troubled kids and you always have a story.
Yes the police deemed him ",troubled" His stepmother and baby brother are killed and he's being accused of it? Yes I guess he WOULD be troubled. The police never spoke to him before the incident, so how would they have known if he was troubled?
It is a good point - it may have been coz she didn’t feel well and wanted help with the 4 year old. Or like u say - it may have also been coz of what she was gonna have to deal with that day ...
@T Retano having experience with guns doesn't mean someone is a killer, especially since nothing is solid enough to convict an eleven year old. Not to mention your other comments makes me think you don't care about the evidence you just don't like guns and think anyone who owns one is a blood thirsty killer which is stupid as f*ck when it comes to this case
@@frogking6416 who gives the gun to children though? And why the gun was laying around randomly. @@vkrgfan are you American? Bc that explains ur first two questions. Don’t look for too much logic, kids usually start young with guns and parents are uncommonly shit about locking them up or having them in a safe place. Some houses even display them as a warning but idk that one feels less common
@@vkrgfan welcome to the south where kids have guns because hey it's the south. Loreto Bustos Finger prints are VERY important. So if it's his gun, then no one else can touch it? Like you have a phone, it's yours, so no one else can use it? Come on. They also said the kid participated in a turkey shoot or something, so yeah, his clothes had gun powder on them. It's pretty clear that the ex did it. The police work here is abysmal.
@@BlueblueN right? Like I think the ex is 100% guilty. He was abusive to the point where she had a restraining order on him. He said he would kill her. Now imagine an abusive ex that already wants to kill you as it is finding out that the child he thought was his wasn’t. That would set him off. They said there’s no way he would know nobody was home but I think that someone like him wouldn’t care about that and his anger would set him off to the point where he just did it anyway. It just worked out in his favor that nobody was home. & maybe he didn’t know that she had a new boyfriend so he thought the only ones that would be there are her little daughters and didn’t care at that point.
Something is telling me that her family absolutely hated her husband and his son and instead of getting the real murderer, they wanted it to be an 11 year old boy, because that would be the worst for the both of them. They probably liked the ex more than the person who was kind to her.
So your telling me that the police basically arrested A 11 YEAR OLD and used jealousy as proff... but ruled out a ex boyfriend because he had snow on his car... wow... just wow
It really feels like the police tried to convict that kid as fast as they possibly could. And it's weird how the family just hates him right away for some reason.
@@bluezauza I have a feeling that it has something to do with the fact that he is not related to them if you know what I mean? The way the police handle everything was just horrible, it makes me think they were friends or something like that with the ex.
right, they barely had any evidence. i also believe that they should’ve asked the teachers how his behavior was when he went to school, was he worried?
To be honest most people right away would hate someone who “Killed” Their family. Me myself don’t think he did their was not enough evidence to prove him guilt especially not putting him in prison for the rest of his life. That is at least what I think.
I feel like her ex probably did it when he found out his daughter wasn’t actually his. & hes just sitting back laughing at the fact that they blamed it all on an 11 year old.
Also the ex boyfriend daughter switched up the story to make it seem like the little boy did it i wonder if she did that to save her dad? Because they thought maybe it was him instead
I’m so happy that Jordan’s father believed in his son’s innocence and never gave up! I just love that father son relationship they had! Absolutely precious. Those small town detectives are just that, inexperienced. They went through this case with stupid tunnel vision. Hooray,Jordan is suing their ass! I know he’ll win!
The fact that that judge found him guilty at 11 years old with such little and insignificant “evidence”. just makes me realize how much of a joke our judicial system is.

I just heard about this case and it struck me immediately that the police focused in the 11 year old child. He would be the last suspect in my mind. 24 hours later they arrested him... who would do that. I think that police deparment was corrupt and they knew the real killer.
It also makes no sense, because it appears that hours have passed since the murder. It’s perfectly possible that it snowed during that time and that’s why snow was present on top of his vehicle. Even discounting the fact that snow can stick to roofs of cars, especially if the snow was partially melted and the refroze.
Everyone with a brain after hearing that her ex threatened to kill her: oh so he's the most likely suspect Cops: yeah but there was also this 11 year old boy at school too
The ex boyfriend literally threatened to kill her and that’s documented with the restraining order. Then she said she ends up dead with no evidence? Come on, why would you not look into that?
@MEDICAL CRUSADE He saw a black truck outside. and the ex had a black truck. Besides, the motive is pretty weak. The ex has a stronger motive than the kid. Plus the ex didnt even have an alibi. They just assumed that he wadnt there cause there was snow on his truck.

Yeah the amount of cops saying "Our theory is" in that interview was ridiculous. They were way over their head, I grew up in a rural area and the cops there would not know the first thing about solving a murder.
The Police Force really did not investigate this case thoroughly and professionally. There was no strong evidence to prove that Jordan did do it. If he did shoot her, how come the daughters and the men outside didn't hear when the gun went off?! May both souls R.I.P!! My prayers are with you and your father Jordan.

and he’s still going through it to this day, put through all this trauma for no damn reason. i saw the 20/20 episode a few years back and the fact that he’s still having to go through court cases is just maddening. i don’t think he ever got the chance to truly grieve or even grow up properly because of this. i feel for him so much. he’s probably so confused.
Ally it’s so sad because Jordan isn’t the only one who is going through this so many other kids and teens in America are going through this police corruption/incompetence😕 it’s really scary to think how America’s prison systems are literally businesses they make money for putting and keeping people in jail
For Kenzie's family to so adamantly claim that Jordan is the killer, even without any real evidence, it makes me wonder if one of her family members actually killed her. The only other thing I can think of is that they really, really didn't approve of her and Chris' relationship, and this fueled their belief that his son was the killer.
I was actually going though the comments like wtf why would her family be so adamant to push the full extent of the law on a little boy other than they got some kind of benefit from it... just bc "they had a bad feeling all of a sudden" wtf is that he's an 11yr old boy hes awkward...they all are!!! It seems like they just believed what they were told. Like maybe they were so desperate to see someone go down for their daughters murder that they would blame anyone
That's the reason one man sacrificed his life in order to prove that and that's how the death penalty has been taken off the menu now in some states. Kevin Spacey played him in a movie.
I'm from the town this happened in and i worked at the jail when Jordan was brought in. He seemed so lost and scared. Thank you for covering this story so respectfully. It is still a very hot debate here, even after all this time. Great video 💚
@@addihouk6951 Yes, I agree that you were the truest victims. Somehow this gets overlooked in this case and it's very upsetting. I think it has a lot to do with sexism/ male privilege. While I don't know a lot about the details of the case, it seems likely Jordan did it. It is so rare and unusual that a child that age could or would do something like that, but the access to weapons literally might have been the perfect storm. There’s literally no evidence linking him to the murder which is proven in this video, and anything they might have had could’ve easily been pinned to any one of them in that house. It’s actually more likely that the ex boyfriend did it. At least he had a motive. Poor kid still getting dragged for something he very obviously didn’t do
How do the adults think “yeah, has to be a child. Not a psycho ex boyfriend with motive, and multiple protective orders against him.” Guess the victims family and police never heard of Occam’s razor. 🙄
the whole thing with Kenzie's family insisting that Jordan has a "dark side" absolutely reeks of "we're not happy our daughter got remarried to a man who already had a kid". i just can't imagine why else or _how_ else they could justify that to themselves, justify wishing the death penalty on this tiny 11 y.o. child... it's completely unbelievable. and like Kendall pointed out, IF Jordan did do it, the timeline doesn't make a lick of sense. If he did it, you'd think Janessa would have heard more than just the one sound she mentioned. The police reasoning was that there was snow on his car still (of he had done it,which I'm 100% sure about) after he drove all the way to Kenzie's and back....and he passed a polygraph
Your actually kidding me with that, my mom drives me to college and back and then to work and there is still snow on her car. Plus polygraphs are pretty easy to pass apparently.
And the ONLY part they said changed was, HE SAW A MAN IN THE TRUCK WITH A HAT ON...... That's not exactly a "change in story", that's recalling MORE DETAILS 🙄🙄
@@leightadesse9385 I guess that's why they said "with practically zero evidence." They're not saying they're sorry for the kids who have actually murdered others.
Then change the current system where if a child backchats a teacher and doesn't immediately listen, just as one example, the POLICEMAN who is the security, takes them to spend an hour or two in real solitary in a real prison. Then they wonder why that same kid has a 50/50 chance of making that their home as an adult. That needs to change - make the punishment fit the crime and the age, period. If it does not change, look at the parent, because the child is the result, the product, not the cause.
I can’t imagine an 11 year old wouldn’t crack if he did it and either confess or tell someone. Damn I felt guilty if I didn’t return a library book on time when I was 11.
Right?! oh they definitely would end up confessing- the tactics that police interrogators have will get smart, prepared adults with experience with police to confess- it’s hard for me to imagine an 11 year old having the cognitive ability to lie through an interrogation, especially without any former issues (no fighting or history or abuse, he was a good inmate, no other signs of psychological problems that would cause an 11yr old to murder). Also I think 4 year olds will def remember events like that... I remember some preschool and kindergarten events that weren’t traumatic.
As someone who lives in Canada and is very used to driving with snow on my car, I can say with 100% conviction that it is possible to drive and not have the snow fall off your vehicle, especially if it’s wet sticky snow and there’s no wind. I think it was the ex.
I agree with the snow comment, I've driven countless times with seemingly untouched snow on the hood of my car. I think almost all of us think it was the ex, and it speaks even more to his lack of integrity that he would let a little kid take the blame for him.
I completely agree, same here. Snow acts differently depending on what kind of snow it is. If it was dry powder sure it'd come off but virtually any other kind will stick. There's a reason those brushes exist on the windshield scrapers.
No same. I play this game in my area (Michigan) and just "guess" who owns a garage and who has to park outside, because the latter ALWAYS have snow on their car. And a ton of it, to boot.
Yep! im from Canada too and i also had snow stay on my vehicule going to work. I always try to take it off for security of other cars but if im late, its staying on... If the kid did it, the other would have known. Two kids were waiting for that bus. I believe that black car was a big clue that was overlooked.

I was 4 years old on the day of my father’s death and to this day vividly remember details of what happened. Years later my mother confirmed what I remembered to be true. Later yet, I had a conversation about this and the fact I had memories of my father as early as 1 or 2 with my marriage counselor who was a clinical psychologist. She explained most children don’t have cognitive memories before the age of 5 unless there is a traumatic occurrence (good or bad). Then the little child’s mind clings tightly to the memories he or she deems important. Therefore, the youngest daughter’s account should in no way be so easily dismissed.
i feel like that too. or he would have said something sus to someone he trusted. i can’t imagine committing a murder and then not being able to tell anyone about it as a child. i agree with you
Agreed! I had so much guilt as a child, I could never keep anything from my mom because we were so close. I think he would have broke down and told his dad if he really did it
BUT...HOW would Jordan have done it? He and his sister were sitting on the couch, waiting for the bus, and heard Kinsey tell them to go on out to the bus. SO, she was alive, JUST before they left the house TOGETHER, and got on the bus!
Makes me wonder if the killer was already in the house and she asked him/her to allow the children to leave first. . . I can't recall if they said they "saw" her when she told them to go to school or if she called it out from another room. She was asleep by all counts until they heard her tell them to go on out to the school bus. A good mother, which she was by all accounts, would try to get them out of the house when faced with a potential violent situation. . . Just too many questions left unanswered
OH yeah! That was just mentioned once so by the end of the video I already forgot about it. But yeah, the two kids were together and she heard her mom call to them, then they left. I really think the ex got away with this. They didn't really investigate him enough, I mean no looking for fingerprints at the house or anything? So incompetent.
@@AmbassadorofKing This was my thought as well.. maybe someone (personally I think the ex boyfriend should be looked at more closely, maybe he had some police connections) went into the house after Chris left for work. Early in the morning, before the tree trimming folks got there, but after the kids left for school. Unless I missed it, neither of the kids said they saw the tree trimmers before they got on the bus, but Jordan said he saw a black truck parked outside. I do not believe an 11 yr old could have done this with such precision & went to school like nothing happened. I'm assuming his teachers noticed nothing out of the ordinary. I find it incredibly suspicious that the police didn't process the crime scene for prints. This again makes me think that maybe the ex boyfriend had some connections. A single gunshot to the head to a pregnant woman in her bed by a random person, no motive, no break in, nothing stolen/missing, seems highly unlikely. Execution style killings are pre-planned usually and the ex boyfriend had a violent history of threatening to kill her and her entire family. And he had just found out that one of the kids wasn't his, so he had motive. If he was in the house after Chris left, then he would have easily had access to the guns. He could have even been casing their house to get a feel for their schedule, I mean we just don't know. But the ex certainly had means, motive and opportunity to carry it out. I'm puzzled as to why he was eliminated so very quickly, given the violent history of death threats AND the fact that he drove a black truck which is what Jordan said he saw outside on the way to school. And I agree w/ you about a killer waiting for the kids to leave - I would even further speculate that someone who cared about those kids didn't want them to be traumatized or to have that kind of memory. I hope and pray that whoever did it will be brought to justice.
11 year old who just lost his 'mother' and brother: there was a black car outside our house, I think 11 year old who was dragged out his bed in the middle of the night and convicted for murder: I'm pretty sure there was a man, in a hat, ducking down in the black car Police: yeah the kid is a liar. Let's convict him. How does that make sense??
exactly!! and like, it was an added detail, its not like he said the truck was now red and not black! ppl add details all the time in interviews as they recall things more and more
Okay, but like also, sometimes investigators can convince easily influenced people to say certain things too. A child cannot be truly interrogated because they can’t logically think through most things. So I definitely think they didn’t do the child any justice in this whatsoever.
Especially with what those adults did and what they are into like one of those could have been a gang recruiter or a rapist like come on let’s have some common sense people
I would be embarrassed to be part of that police department. The PD said "there was no way he (the ex) would know she was home alone" I'm sorry if you're outside her house you would see the husband leave, the kids leave and who's to say he hadn't been there before and knew the family's schedule.
@@terrencemchatten4804 polygraphs are bullshit. all that they do is read and record breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure. if any fluctuations occur, then the person is considered to be lying. however people who are truly innocent may just be nervous in general in the hands of the police, people with heart problems may have a faster heart rate which may cause investigators to wrongfully suspect them, etc.
Because some idiot thought it sensible to have multiple guns, including a child sized gun, in a house full of children? Mate, that's normal for Americans.
@@DylanRomanov there is a 20/20 episode all about it that’s been out for awhile on the ABC network. I’m surprised not more people have spoken about it though, as I thought it was a pretty big story, and court cases are still ongoing about it. I’m glad Kendall raised awareness!
thats what im thinking! like wtf were police thinking? "yea lets blame it on the 11 y/o with anecdotal evidence and not the crazy ex who abused her, said he would kill her whole family, had multiple court orders from kenzie against him, was seen parked outside by jordan, and recently found out that kenzies youngest daughter wasnt his" makes sense, totally 🙄
I live in Canada and this is fact. We have people here who never clear off their cars except for the wind shield. Like 20 there and back? Pish I’ve seen people drive an hour and a half to the next city with snow still on-top of the car.
Yea it froze the other day and the ice stayed on my hood the whole ride to work even tho it was thin and the truck would have been warm from driving it
Unbelievable that they sent an 11 year old to jail with adults and then found him guilty at 14, with zero proof. This poor guy and family went through absolute hell on top of losing their mom/wife to horrible violence. I hope they win their lawsuit. Someone (prob Adam) is walking free because of some seriously piss-poor investigation and that is tragic.
Her ex boyfriend: Threatening to kill her and her whole family. Seems pretty guilty to me Jordan: Just went to school and said he saw a black truck and her ex drives a black truck. Police: ok, let's arrest the little boy Cuz that makes sense.
How does a perfectly normal kid just go to school like nothing happened after killing his mother?? He literally saw her as a mother figure, called her mom. Something fishy going on with these police officers. If he was able to commit a murder like this, surely there would be more signs of behavioural issues... was a mental health check done? Would love a therapist’s perspective! Poor kid.
her parents blaming Jordan it's almost like THEY didn't like the kid because he was the STEP child. That's not fair to him. He was 11 years old and with her death it's like he lost his Mom. She was the only Mom that he knew, so why would he kill her? he was excited for the baby coming and they all got along. But, for her parents and the police to automatically point fingers at him and say "you did this" is like telling the child he's unwanted in a way. It's BULLSHIT and I am glad his Father stood by his side in all of this. The police are at fault for NOT processing the scene and they can interview a 4 year old during a traumatic event IF they have a child psychologist available. They totally dropped the ball on this case and it's really sad.
I feel so sad for Kenzie whose life was taken, all the signs pointing to a man she was deeply afraid of, and now her own family is trying to blame the child that she loved, and her husband. There has been no justice for her.
But wasn’t Kenzie the one who told them to leave so that they didn’t miss the bus?!?! This is awful police work, so much ‘assuming’ being labeled as ‘evidence’
@@bchazin27 if the sister said that in her first interview... that’s open and shut to me. Even as a small kid I’d NEVER say my dead mom talked to me before I left for school if it didn’t happen. There’s absolutely no gray area there.
that’s exactly what i was just thinking. like both children said Kenzie told them to leave a little early for the bus so they won’t miss it. and her daughter changed her story out of no where to say jordan was playing with guns? even a child would know to tell the cops that their brother was playing with guns the morning her mom was shot. these cops really said 2+2=5🤦🏽♀️
I would thunk he prob does I mean no w ya they actually think that 11 yr old done it over an angry ex. If someone didn't have ties then wow how stupid can u literally be
11-year-olds should not be worrying about being tried for Murder, they should be worrying if their Hogwarts letter will come or not. accusing a CHILD of Murder is honestly awful and the adults are just idiots for accusing a CHILD of murder.
sounds like the ex has friends in the police force - knowing what we know now about police, I'm wondering how many innocent people are in jail based on an officer's word. Absolutely insane!
Theres only one person who actually said they would kill kenzie; Her EX. And theres only one person who found out "their child" wasnt theirs and wanted to kill Kenzie; Her EX.
I feel like Kenzie knew Adam was looking for her, that's why she asked Chris not to go to work that day. Then for Jordan to say he say a black pick up truck outside which is the same car as Adam? Also to use the excuse that snow was still on his truck as a reason for him to be innocent is just pure bs.
A child being arrested for double homicide without 100% clear cut proof is BS and I hope those former police lose the law suit. Pressing to have him tried as an adult was disgusting.
I feel that they need to look more closely at her ex. If she was afraid enough to get a restraining order, then there is something else going on. I'm thinkning her ex could have been stalking her. If he was he could have waited everyday to see what their routine was. I just think they should check him again.
Especially since he found out his child wasn't actually his child. If he were already violent before, then imagine how enraged he would be to find out it isn't his kid. Enough to murder someone? Maybe. Protection orders were put against him, so it's very possible.
My heart hurts because of this young man going through what he went through as a young child without real evidence, yet there are creeps getting waaaay less time for something where there is sufficient evidence and proof then what this child served until he was released 9 years later!
And it'd be pretty brilliant to call the home phone to see if she was dead for sure
@@shazzycromo
I agree, Sara. You've made a good point.
I agree, especially since it is said that multiple adults were interviewing the kids, which just puts more pressure to the kids to try to say what the adults want to hear.
my thoughts exactly! it was completely unprofessional how the police handled this case!! so frustrating !
Exactly, the police work was extremely unprofessional

There’s something so evil about kenzie’s family wanting an 11 year old boy to be punished severely….
It’s probably because he was not related to them. My sister is adopted and you would not believe the things she’s been accused of including jealousy of the other kids in the family. It makes me so angry! And I know it’s just because she not blood related. I bet Kenzie’s family had the same feelings about Jordan.
Agreed; very gross.
Yes crazy
I mean, If there was actual physical evidence then I would side with them, but the fact there was no evidence and it was all based on the police taking the easy way out... Children are capable of murder - look at the case of James Bulger, 2 kids tortured and killed him. But there was actual evidence to convict them. In this case there was no actual evidence. I've watched this video a few times now and each time I'm like why wasn't his hands checked for gun powder residue? Yeah they should've been more thorough. Then her family to really believe that he did it is pretty mean. I would've spoken to him at least. Maybe he just didn't like her family?
The fact that his football friends had parents who were understanding enough to allow their children to visit him made me tear up. That poor boy. Our justice system really breaks my heart sometimes.
Right. Clearly the parents didn't think he was a troubled and dangerous kid
What a smart thought, that does speak volumes!
That was the moment in this video when I said huh. Doesnt make sense that ALL those parents would be okay with that unless they believed that Jordan was innocent.
Why was the other sister not a factor in any of the questioning? Couldn't she have said whether her mom was awake when they left?
It's not a justice system. It's a punishment system that lets bad people go and ruins good people's lives.

Exactly what I’m saying to my bf rn. They rather blame an 11 year old then not have anyone to blame at all.
Yep. I feel for them tho
I understand that Kenzie's family is in pain, but they are being absolutely cruel to Jorden and Chris...
They're the type of family that you see when someone else admits they did it would still be saying that Jordan did it.

They're evil tbh

This case makes me so mad, they took away Jordan’s childhood without ANY real proof that he did it
and he’s still going through it to this day, put through all this trauma for no damn reason. i saw the 20/20 episode a few years back and the fact that he’s still having to go through court cases is just maddening. i don’t think he ever got the chance to truly grieve or even grow up properly because of this. i feel for him so much. he’s probably so confused.

I honestly think your on to something like it's just so messed up like even if he did he's still eleven and your the only ppl who have ever seen anything funny about him not one single person other than you guys?! Smh thank God justice was actually served bc I don't think he did it at all!!!
I really question how Kenzie’s mother is able to confidently, without even blinking an eye, call an eleven year old a murderer.
She looks like a very pleasant person.
Bet police drilled it into their heads but they should have had some doubt from jump
Right?
Or the DA brainwashed them or they didnt like their daughters decisions
It seems like they just believed what they were told. Like maybe they were so desperate to see someone go down for their daughters murder that they would blame anyone
If they lock up 11 year old that easily with no evidence I don't wanna know how many other lives were destroyed by crappy police and court work.

That's what I said and then the step sister changed the story and left out that kenzie talked to them to leave early
OH yeah! That was just mentioned once so by the end of the video I already forgot about it. But yeah, the two kids were together and she heard her mom call to them, then they left. I really think the ex got away with this. They didn't really investigate him enough, I mean no looking for fingerprints at the house or anything? So incompetent.
Exactly! Agreed! I was thinking same thing!
11 year old who just lost his 'mother' and brother: there was a black car outside our house, I think
11 year old who was dragged out his bed in the middle of the night and convicted for murder: I'm pretty sure there was a man, in a hat, ducking down in the black car

Seems pretty guilty to me
Jordan: Just went to school and said he saw a black truck and her ex drives a black truck.
Police: ok, let's arrest the little boy
Cuz that makes sense.
Man, what can you say ?
How does a perfectly normal kid just go to school like nothing happened after killing his mother?? He literally saw her as a mother figure, called her mom. Something fishy going on with these police officers. If he was able to commit a murder like this, surely there would be more signs of behavioural issues... was a mental health check done? Would love a therapist’s perspective! Poor kid.
Pennsylvanian cops are trash. I'm just speaking from personal experiences with Pennsylvanian cops.
Lousy cops. Also maybe one of them is related to or is a buddy of her ex.
Ikr! So annoying!!
her parents blaming Jordan it's almost like THEY didn't like the kid because he was the STEP child.
Yes! That's what I was thinking as well...her parents didn't like him or didn't want him so they blamed him. So awful.
True
I feel so sad for Kenzie whose life was taken, all the signs pointing to a man she was deeply afraid of, and now her own family is trying to blame the child that she loved, and her husband. There has been no justice for her.
If she is/was watching this all unfold she would be so heartbroken that a child that she loved is being wrongly convicted. Allegedly
You said it perfect!!!! She would be heartbroken to hear her family talk about them like this
KB- YES,YES, YES
@@YuLingZeng313 except she brought that evil into his life by cheating on her ex and lying to him about his daughter
@@kiradownie5717 that means she deserved to die?
Not only did a woman and her unborn child lose their lives, but this kid lost his childhood.
But wasn’t Kenzie the one who told them to leave so that they didn’t miss the bus?!?! This is awful police work, so much ‘assuming’ being labeled as ‘evidence’
This genuinely bothered me throughout the whole video. I’m hoping there’s some clarification on this!!!
Information probably from Jordan and the sister so there’s obviously no way to 100% prove that happened.
@@bchazin27 if the sister said that in her first interview... that’s open and shut to me. Even as a small kid I’d NEVER say my dead mom talked to me before I left for school if it didn’t happen. There’s absolutely no gray area there.
Pennsylvania cops are awful.
that’s exactly what i was just thinking. like both children said Kenzie told them to leave a little early for the bus so they won’t miss it. and her daughter changed her story out of no where to say jordan was playing with guns? even a child would know to tell the cops that their brother was playing with guns the morning her mom was shot. these cops really said 2+2=5🤦🏽♀️
I wonder if the ex-boyfriend has ties to the police and that's why they decided not to investigate him
that’s definitely possible in a small community
100% small town bullshit!
Would not be surprised
I would thunk he prob does I mean no w ya they actually think that 11 yr old done it over an angry ex. If someone didn't have ties then wow how stupid can u literally be
Who said he wasn't investigated though?
Mad respect to Chris for not turning on his son despite the media and Kenzie’s family !!
Yes, we Stan strong, loving fathers :)
Ha love the name and I agree with your statement ☝️
Yes !!!!
go to hell
@@addihouk6951 who the hell are you talking to?
11-year-olds should not be worrying about being tried for Murder, they should be worrying if their Hogwarts letter will come or not. accusing a CHILD of Murder is honestly awful and the adults are just idiots for accusing a CHILD of murder.
sounds like the ex has friends in the police force - knowing what we know now about police, I'm wondering how many innocent people are in jail based on an officer's word. Absolutely insane!
Theres only one person who actually said they would kill kenzie; Her EX. And theres only one person who found out "their child" wasnt theirs and wanted to kill Kenzie; Her EX.
yeah and he could've very well snuck in
Agreed. That's such a strong motive yet, they chose the route of, "Jordan was jealous". What a joke.
Amen.
And they didn’t check for fingerprints! Like wtf?! This guy had to be friends with a cop or something
@@JennyJeanRazzle I know right! Something just doesn’t seem right at all!
I've had snow on top of my car driving fast on the highway an HOUR AWAY I drove FARTHER THAN HIM and I had snow on my car.
I am wondering now if there was any snow on the car Jordan saw
That’s a great point like why would she want him to stay, it’s not like she was going into labor or anything
I am 21 years old and I can't even brush my hair without leaving evidence
A child being arrested for double homicide without 100% clear cut proof is BS and I hope those former police lose the law suit. Pressing to have him tried as an adult was disgusting.
I feel that they need to look more closely at her ex. If she was afraid enough to get a restraining order, then there is something else going on. I'm thinkning her ex could have been stalking her. If he was he could have waited everyday to see what their routine was. I just think they should check him again.
Yup exactly same thing I said to my bf.
Especially since he found out his child wasn't actually his child. If he were already violent before, then imagine how enraged he would be to find out it isn't his kid. Enough to murder someone? Maybe. Protection orders were put against him, so it's very possible.
The ex probably has close ties to the police force. So they look the other way.
I agree. They were too quick to blame an 11 year old boy.
@@Hollyweeds that thought crossed my mind as well
all the evidence is SO circumstantial. like that’s not enough to convict, no matter his age
Just plain STUPID !!
My heart hurts because of this young man going through what he went through as a young child without real evidence, yet there are creeps getting waaaay less time for something where there is sufficient evidence and proof then what this child served until he was released 9 years later!
