Who do you view as the most “unfortunate” Pokemon?
Also, minor mistake at 1:34, Sneasel does learn multiple Normal type attacks which are classified as Physical in Gen 2. Meant to say coverage move but hopefully most people understand lol
👍 It’s cool man. At least it was the very first one, so it doesn’t seem too bad of a mistake.
Zebstrika hasn’t been in a pokedex since black and white over 12 years in the US. having a sucky movepool with only flame charge and rock smash losing hidden power and signal beam and as if gen 8 and since the Eshop on 3ds is down you have no way of getting zebstrika on the switch
The elemental monkeys.
Mediocre stats, check
Poor movepools, check
underwhelming abilities, check
haven't been in a dex since XY, check-a-diddly-doo!
Seriously Gamefreak, stop shilling Charizard & give these simians some love!
@@ShiningStar5022 I feel like Simisage is one of the best grass types in unova it has the the coverage that most grass types lack surprisingly good stats for a early game Pokémon A solid B tier pokemon
Abomasnow since it's unlucky enough to be an ice type Pokemon with a lot of weaknesses
I find it funny that the Pawniard family, which took until level 52 to evolve one Pawniard into Bisharp, gained another evolution in Scarlet & Violet. Despite having to either grind for exp, or waste candy just to get a Bisharp in the first place. Good video nonetheless.
They should also revise the evolution levels for some Pokémon, Pawniard too. I mean Bisharp has a BST of 490 which is lower than Donphan, a Pokémon Phanpy evolves into starting from level 25. They did revise evolution methods/levels in SWSH and PLA before.
@@IgnitedQuils yeah, especially a ton of gen 5 Pokémon are almost entirely unusable in a playthrough, due to them only evolving when you're already almost done.
@@Julian-pw5mv Yep, huge examples being Braviary and Mienshao
@@IgnitedQuils and hydreigon, klinklang, volcarona and mandibuzz as well.
Even eelektros, it evolves by thunder stone, but eelektrik evolves from tynamo at 39!!! Which makes it dead weight until then. Your starter will be fully evolved well before your tynamo does.
@@Julian-pw5mv Well, at least Volcarona being psuedo legendaryish makes it feel appropriate, and by the time Hydreigon can be caught you can already evolve it in gen 5.
If I may play devils advocate, Golisopod’s signature ability is a FANTASTIC tool for nuzlockes. It’s low speed can be combatted by using first impression and sucker punch, and then with Emergency Exit you can get a clean and free switch out to another Pokémon that otherwise couldn’t come in because it couldn’t take two hits. This is specifically for hardcore rules where you can’t switch between the enemy’s Pokémon fainting.
I feel like it would be way better if it swapped out after using its attack.
@@Castersvaroghow would it get hit then
@@Yorkshire42069 I mean that if it gets attacked and dropped to below 50% hp instead of swapping out imidietly it'll use it's more and then swap out
Yeah my Golisopod on my Sun hardcore Nuzlocke was a beast and incredibly dependable, Ability certainly helped there.
@@Castersvarog this would actually make it worse as a pivot, giving whatever sweeper or wallbreaker you want to use free entry without forcing it to take an attack is very useful and is why many people prefer their u-turn/volt switch users to be slow
What I really don't get about Zoroark is that before Black and White came out, there was a bunch of advertising around it. They were really hyping it up as this badass new mon you could use and it was going to be N's main partner.
Then when the games come out, you can't get one until post game and N only uses his in your final fight with him.
What the hell?!?
honestly i played a slightly altered version of black/white and, when N had his zorua for all his fights, i legitimately thought that wasn't an added thing, i had to look it up when someone mentioned that that wasn't normal
@@connortg5 hey, what altered version did you play? Can I find it?
@@danielnunes1661 it was pokemmo
*cough* *cough* the relocator *cough*
@@connortg5 oh my god I knew it lmao, immediately thought of that when you said that. I also played pokemmo
Gotta mention Leafeon and Glaceon again, in BW2 they are the only eeveelutions that are locked behind post game, with the mossy rock in pinwheel forest, and the ice rock in a room low in twist mountain
My biggest pet peeve moment in ALL of Pokemon, was when Platinum REMOVED Murkrow and Misdreavus from the dex. They're not post game, they're not locked to events, they're legitimately just not obtainable without Diamond and Pearl. I've never understood this change once, it makes no sense
Same with Stunky and Glameow. Requires trading with Diamond and Pearl to obtain them. Emerald actually had a similar issue with Lunatone, Zangoose, Meditite and Roselia being unavailable if you didn’t trade with Ruby and Sapphire.
Same with the ampharos line in crystal you can't get any of them in that game and the only way to get them is to catch them in gold or silver and transfer them to Crystal
“Just ask Houndour about IT’S many Johto locations.”
That statement felt like a truck it was so true
Oak : Red, can you explain to me how you didn't register this pokémon in the pokedex ?
Red : ...
@@dse763 Red: cuz it’s easier finding a twitch mod that isn’t a pedo than finding a houndour in either johto or Kanto
Really surprised that Regigigas did not make an appearance here. Someone at Gamefreak must have a vandetta against it or something as they stripped basically every way to cheese Slow Start away from its BIG MEATY CLAWS!
ha ha ''big meaty claws'' 🦀😆
Emergency exit would be an amazing ability if golisopod could attack before being switched out
First Impression -> Emergency Exit -> Repeat.
But yeah, I get what you mean. If only Emergency Exit would trigger at the end of the turn or something.
And if Wimp Out stayed the same, there would be a good reasoning why both Abilities exist.
The only good thing you can say about Serviper is it gave Lucy a fire outfit
My favorite Pokémon is megal absol, so yes I would really appreciate it if they brought the mega ring back 💀 (they won't)
Absol is a punished pokemon. It was a physical attacker in gen 3, meaning dark type was useless as a stab. It's also slow, and not bulky. Then it's mega, it's only chance, randomly gave it special attack instead of defenses or more speed, making it weaker than most other megas. AND THEN they took away the mega in gen 8, reverting it to its gen 4/5 self, which was already low tier
6:55 Atleast Nosepass can literally evolve in the same cave it can be found.
Meanwhile my favorite pokemon is ruling gen 9 because if you tera you get either:
- Haha base 134 attack stab Extreme Speed go brrrr
or
- Haha I get an actual useful flying stab in a region that lacks strong flying type options + I lose my 4x weakness
The problem with Beldum is why ORAS gifted the shiny Beldum for people to start the games with now that i think of it.
Sneasel: I was screwed over by availability.
Larvitar: Yeah, poor you.
I have three:
1: Electivire - Among the physical electric-types, Electivire (and Luxray and Zebstrika) are the biggest offenders. Budget Volt Tack- i mean Wild Charge at best, Raw elemental punches and EQ at coverage at most, no good set-up moves, like the only mon that has to rely on Cross Chop instead of Close Combat or even Superpower. With all that said it doesn't take much to buff pokemon like Electivire, they've done before with Speed Boost Scolipede, Drizzle Pelipper, Drought Torkoal and most recently Sharpness Gallade and that's just abilities, so why has Electivire still has yet to Iron Fist? (and same with Magmortar and Mega Launcher for that matter) Bulk Up and Close Combat could also work, tho sadly realistically Volt Tackle will probably be stuck as the unconventional signature move of Pikachu line until the end of time, not even Pawmot gets it.
Physical Ghost-types like Golurk at least finally got their hay-day with Poltergeist last gen.
2: Sceptile - Whiling grass-types are known for their god-awful movepools, I later realized that most of the notorious examples are special attackers. Whiling special attackers are usually stuck with STAB(s), Normal moves and whiling it lasted Hidden Power (usually Rock, Fire or maybe Ice), many of the physical grass-type movepools are average if not above average even if most still suck (Breloom, Torterra, Sawsbuck, Chesnaught, Gogoat, Trevenant, H-Decidueye, Tsareena, Kartana, Rillaboom, and recently Meowscarada) and only now since Gen 8 do they fix several of the special ones by giving Venusaur, Abomasnow and recently Arboliva Earth Power; Celebi and yes even Sunflora always had Earth Power.
And then there's Sceptile and oh boy look at it's stats first, 85 Atk and 105 Sp. Atk (110 vs 145 for the mega), emphasis on the Atk stat later; and it's movepools is really like night and day. For physical moves it has STAB Leaf Blade, Crunch, Thunder Punch, Rock Slide, Earthquake, Drain Punch, Acrobatics, Sword Dance, Dragon Dance, and for it's special moves it's literally just just STAB Energy Ball/Leaf Storm/Giga Drain, Dragon Pulse, Focus Miss and whiling it lasted said Hidden Power (Fire) now that's just said; Really hoping it gets Earth Power and Nasty Plot (hell maybe even Thunderbolt) this time.
3: Grapploct - Just being a Fighting/Water Technician user with STABs Mach Punch, Aqua Jet and even Storm Throw could've set it apart from all the either slow and bulky Fighting-types and that's without mention it's 7 resistances, but no just another generic slow bulky Fighting-type and arguably the worst one at that. It doesn't even get Storm Throw nor Mach Punch.
Dis-Honorable Mention to Zebstrika who really needs Sword Dance, said Volt Tackle (which as i said is realistically is never gonna happen sadly), Blaze Kick (if not Flare Blitz), Megahorn (surprised it didn't had that already), and the obvious High Horsepower.
The biggest crime you could make is starting this video without that iconic music intro. For shame. It's literally one of the best intros I've ever heard on any youtube channel.
I actually think golisopod's ability synergises pretty well with it, sicne first impression means it enjoyes being switched in and ouf. If anything, this allows it to use first impression, soak a hit, and from here allow you to immediately pivot safely even if it doesnt die.
tldr: it's ability has its strategic uses, and it has a kit that actually mixes pretty well with the ability.
RIP My boys Archen/Archeops who still don't have a second ability. My fav fossil mons, but defeatist really makes them tough to work with unless you over level.
Regigigas and Slacking are the poster children of "screwed over by Gamefreak".
Remember FRLG had an embargo on nonkanto mons too, you had to beat the game to finally get them back
We not gonna mention how Feraligatr’s name isn’t even complete?
That's due to the 10-letter name limit at the time
Actually you don't need Poketransfer to unlock Zorua or Zoroark. The Poketransfer actually makes it so you CAN'T get Zorua or Zoroark if you bring Celebi or the Legendary Beasts in through it. There's a specific character in Castelia City that will transfer these Pokémon for you and actually lets them keep the ability to unlock Zorua and Zoroark. The thing is that it'll *only* transfer these Pokémon and the unreleased Locked Box, which would have contained the tm for Snarl.
I actually transferred a Beldum that I IV bred into Alpha Sapphire. To be sure, Take Down does cause recoil damage, so you can't use it for long, but I remember it being great at early levels because it causes tremendous damage to non-resisting mons due to its high base power! Beldum's many resistances means that it can also shrug off many types of attacks!
For Glaceon in particular, before SwSh it was basically impossible to use it on a playthrough team without trading bc the Ice Rock was ALWAYS either towards the end of the main game or in the post game. So if you truly wanted to use a Glaceon on your main team you either had to spend an awful lot of time grinding it back up or just use an Eevee for a huge chunk of the game and miss out on a ton of STAB ice moves via level up.
Blissey definitely isn’t a bad Pokémon, but it really got screwed by eviolite
Not even going to mention emergency exit in the anime
Any below average pokemon that lost their mega. Mins like lopunny, mawile, and kanga went from zeros to hero’s back to zeros in one sad swipe of their mega stones
Yeah emergency exit is dump. At least give the guy a hidden ability.
Any regional evo gets screwed cus they dont provide alternative evo methods outside of the region and they could they changed location evos in gen 8
Serviper need either a regional variant or an evolution, would've been perfect for sword and shield.
Obligatory Flygon deserves a Mega evolution. Boy was done dirty by GF.
Here's the dream:
Either Tinted Lens or Amplifier (only access to one or other)
Bug/Dragon with mixed attacking stats while weak to stealth rock to balance it out a bit.
100/112/90/105/90/123
Oh boy ditto and zorua got really annoying in Scarlet and Violet. I didn't know you had to ram trees to get a pineco so I'd run around looking for one in that wooded area for hours on end waiting for one to hop around only for it to be a ditto or zorua every single time. Funny thinking about it now lol
Zangoose dominating Seviper seems right to me, it references mongooses hunting snakes irl. Snakes are pushovers against mongooses who see snakes as good meal only
One of the biggest issues golisopod faced was the fact that Araquanid was in the game as well which does everything better than Golisopod (barring maybe speed but it was a fantastic tank)
Wait in BDSP I can evolve Magneton with a Thunderstone. I'll have to give that a go.
They should definitely lower the evolution levels of most Gen V Pokémon. They should probably also get rid of the slow experience group, as they clearly regret after Gen III.
“Let me tell you Ash Ketchum. None of those are correct. Seviper does not have an evolutionary line.” - Me talking to Ash
got the wrong dmvs on my enamorus, have to reset pla for the 76th time
Weavile is my favorite pokemon but tbh it’s so good in gen 4 and gen 6 OU and it’s cool in Pokken so it’s fine
You can get a metang and Metagross in bw2 before the ghetsis fight
Speaking of Gen 5, can we talk about Klinklang for a moment. This poor Mon has a base 100 attack stat and learns barely anything good to make use of it. Yeah, it has it's signature move, but other than that, nothing. No Earthquake, no Ironhead, no Rock Slide. Just a bunch of special moves and Wild Charge. And the move tutor doesn't help it either. For example, the only physical attack it gets this way in Gen 7 is Bind. Bind, can you belive this? And to add insult to injury it's two normal abilities, Plus and Minus, are completely useless during a normal playthrough. Seriously Gamefreak, what has Klinklang done to you?
I really like it's design and it's 520 stat total is pretty good on paper, but alas whith no good moves and bad abilities you can only do so much.
With Goppier's upcoming tech, fathom what kind of implications it could have for tradebacks & especially the previously shafted mons (not just Gen 1 tradebacks either)
The entire series has been screwed over by game freak.
Articuno becoming a duel ice/flying type in gen 2 made it so bad eventually by gen 3/4 yet it was so good gen 1. Ended up making it one of the weakest legendaries until ability patches were released. Shame cause its my fav :P There was only really one choice for general play mind reader and sheer cold for me XD
Becoming? It's always been Ice/Flying. What screwed it over was the Special split, Blizzard getting nerfed, and then Stealth Rock being introduced
My very first wimpod encounter was a shiny. I wonder if they person I sold my copy of Sun to will check my save, cuz I forgot to erase it.
Shedinja was majorly screwed in all games
it's typing let it has 5 types to hurt it
it's ability is broken and in both ways because it lets hazards, status effects, recoil hit it without any protection
it's BST is trash because it's lower then nincada, yes the PREVO!
and it's stat spread is trash as well because a pokemon with only 1 HP has a third of it's entire BST IN DEFENSIVE STATS!
“Weak pOkemon. Strong pokemon. That is only the selfish perception of people.”
Not when you’re sending out a Butterfree you forgot to EV train against a Choice Banded Garchomp
If "W" would be "double-U" but rather V how it is pronouced in german in would have added BMW(BMV)s to the Vs joke
6:25 *laughs in galarian yamask*
Minor mistake - drifloon is gen 4
9:55 is the only time I remember him being Drifloon up. There, he's saying that Drifloon is the one family specifically not from Hoenn in that experience group.
Maybe I'm missing a different point he brings it up though.
While mot screwed, I think it's sad that murkrow loses 20 points in speed evolving into honchkrow forcing it to run sucker punch or easily get bowled over and I think that dusknoir is one of the coolest pokemon ever made yet it is barely better than dusklops and is outclassed by eviolite dusklops in competitive. I think eaither giving him 20 plus hp, the dark typing, or levitate would be so nice for him, and for honchkrow, keep murkrow speed and make his physical attack be the same as his special attack to make him a fast mixed attacker instead of making him strictly a physical attacker with mediocre speed.
12:42 I’m still waiting boi 😔
Am I stupid or did this dude say the only physical attack sneasel can learn in gen 2 is metal claw and then proceed to show sneasel learnset that has scratch, quick attack, fury swipes and slash.
Castform. Poor thing.
I think you forgot Regigigas
Ledian and Frosmoth got screwed over stat wise. But their designs are clean though.
3:10 it's crazy
Glacen and Leafeon were truly screwed over by the fact that BOTH their abilities need weather.
You could have also mentioned Darkrai. One of Gamefreaks biggest screw ups.
Not only did its signature move, Dark Void, get *BUTCHERED* because of *another Pokemon* - said other Pokemon also lost access to Dark Void.
Making the nerf of Dark Void utterly pointless. And it hasn't been buffed ever again. Also, *said Pokemon* is returning to Scarlet and Violet while Darkrai does not.
Can you tell I am peeved off beyond belief? :)
Definitely would have been mentioned if I hadn’t done so in other vids already but true, Darkrai deserves justice 😢
@@JPRPokeTrainer98 oh I know, I watched almost all your videos. I just hope at some point some Gamefreak employees are gonna see your channel and the more mentions it gets the higher the possibility of it being noticed...I think. Not so sure about it. Great video though again! Thanks for the entertainment! Hope you get to 200k subs soon, you deserve it :)
True. I know dark void is nerfed pretty badly but I am unable to recollect this other Pokemon. What is it?
@@powderkegs983 Smeargle
I think part of the Dark Void nerf, as much as I hate it, was because of the introduction of Battle Royals in SM. My guess was that GF didn't like the idea of an 80% accurate sleep-inducing move in a battle format with 3 opponents, so that's probably why it got the accuracy nerf.
If it was solely because of Smeargle, simply making it exclusive to Darkrai would've been enough.
Look no further than Ledian if you want a Pokémon that got screwed over BAD. Horrible ability for its horrible stats, horrible moveset and it's gotten no love whatsoever over the years. And to make things worse, it's shiny form is extremely lackluster as it just gets lighter.
What I hate is that they clearly emphasize that it's a *PUNCHING* Pokémon, and yet it's attack stat is 35!! which insult to injury it's special attack stat is 55.
Nah it’s ability’s are pretty cash but like…45 attack lol.
Lmao
@@justinchoy476 they’re saying the ability is horrible for its stats, which are also not good
Ledian should’ve evolved before Bisharp did honestly
Pokémon like ledian is the reason why I’m not fond of gen 2 the Pokémon are just so damn weak and yes I know not all of them are but it’s so lame that some are just so damn useless. The only useful thing that they’re just to fill up the Pokédex lol
Definitely Regigigas, he is without a doubt one of the most screwed over Pokémon. Blessed with incredible power, going to be one of the first super powerful normal types. Then they made it a potato for 5 turns that goes back to being a potato when switching out.
agreed, I'm surprised that Regigigas wasn't even mentioned in this video about pokemon that were shafted from the start. Hell, even in LEGENDS ARCEUS where they supposedly got rid of abilities, Regigigas still has to suffer through slow start.
I remember doing a link battle with an irl friend back in diamond pearl days, he was a relative noob but really loved regigigas, doing his damn hardest trying to survive for 5 turns. He was so hyped when slow starts wore off, cheering and going "woo time to die" i almost felt bad for using whirlwind
@@sirfrancis8732 guess Regigigas is either too obvious an example, or doesn’t count as he is an intentional overnerf.
I never got why they didnt put the rocks for Glaceon & Leafeon in HG/SS. Put the moss rock in Ilex Forest and the Ice Rock in the Ice Path there simple. The Power Plant in Kanto is right there for Nosepass and Magnezone. The fact they put the evo methods in ORAS shows they could have done it but chose not to
Leafeon and Glaceon aren't in the Johto Dex, but they could have evolved in Viridian Forest and the Seafoam Islands.
Because there had to be a reason why these evolutions didn’t exist before gen 4, and the reason is that the evolution requirements, like the icy rock for example, only existed in sinnoh where they could evolve further.
It was perfect way to keep the world together. Sure it is inconcenient to trade to sinnoh just to evolve your eevee into Glaceon and Leafeon, but it is a small price to pay for the great world building it achieved
@@grydon6422 but both mamoswine and tangrowth are in the johto dex
@@grydon6422 I like the theory that Kanto has a season of perpetual twilight that the events of gen 1 happened during to explain the lack of Umbreon/Espeon.
@@Venemofthe888 and also Togekiss and Yanmega
11:54 you don't need the poke transfer to unlock them. There's a secret npc in Castelia City who unlocks the Relocator for you if you answer his questions with the phrase "EVERYONE HAPPY SIMPLE CONNECT" which can only send over those event legendaries to unlock zorua and zoroark. It's crazy, I know but honestly really cool too
I think i did that back in the day. But yeah... You still needed the right pokemon for that which no one in my friend group had
Was just talking with my friend the other day about how they made Weavile dogwater in SV but then let like 7 new mons head straight to Ubers. Free the weasel smh
They continue to nerf all the older Pokémon in favor of overpowered new Pokemon. It's seriously annoying.
Chien-Pao is basically better Weavile.
One other thing worth mentioning about the Beldum line is their catch rate, which at _3_ the same as Mons like _Groudon Kyogre and Rayquaza._ It’s a completely pain in the ass to find and catch, especially if you don’t have ultra or dusk balls
Tbf that's because it was a gift Mon in gen three they have changed catch rates before so maybe eventually maybe even in the dlc?
@@azeria1 Yeah, but other gift Pokemon have a catch rate of 45, so there's really no excuse for Beldum
@@keeganstormblade5456 plus they could have easily changed its catch rate in Gen 4 when it was catchable in the wild
Rayauaza has a catch rate of 45.
I knew they felt hard.
Literally leveled up my eevee to 95 trying to get an umbreon in fire red… it’s still an eevee😭
...I'm sorry, bro. But there's no timekeeping method.
All you have done is waste your time, because FireRed/LeafGreen is trapped, static and unchanging in this world.
They easily could have made time-based events, even times of day, related to steps as they did for reappearing berries. I don't know how it would feel like, but it certainly would remedy some of those issues.
I was so happy at first because unlike hoenn you don't have to worry about the battery dying and ruining the time based events, only to learn it has problems too
In pokemon anime eng dub they also implied zigzagoon evolves into zangoose i got so confused when my zigzagoon evolved into linoone i keep levelling it up but later found out its entirely different mon
I got so mad when I found out that didn’t work. From then on I took everything the show said with a grain of salt
Unfezant definitely deserves a shout out here - stats designed for physical attacking when all its best moves are special, one of the most forgettable designs for any regional birds... no wonder Zac keeps dunking on Ash's
How Ash’s fully evolved flying type Unfezant lost to a baby fighting type Riolu is something I don’t think any mortal will ever be able to comprehend 😔
What " best moves " ? The only one I can think of is Air Slash
@@NightSkyNyx riolu is strong 😂

And ... Razor wind? RAZOR WIND ?!! the move notoriously known for being the most useless attack in the game ? Bro just use Return it has a higher base power and it doesn't need 2 turns just to charge up
Regigigas IMO
From Level 70 in Diamond and Pearl to Level 1 in Pokemon Platinum to being the ONLY Pokemon in Legends Arceus to KEEP its Ability
Edit: Zorua and Zoroark can be obtained in the main story because in Castelia there's a guy who can transfer ONLY those Beasts and Celebi before you're able to use Poke Transport
Slight correction with Zoroark. Zorua and Zoroark aren’t postgame Pokémon. The Crown City Beasts and Celebi can be transferred up using the Relocator function in Castelia City, meaning you can get Zorua as early as before the third gym and Zoroark before the fourth gym.
In fact, I’m pretty sure that if you transfer the Beasts and Celebi up using the Route 15 method instead, their events won’t activate.
What Relocator?
Meganium, Johto region's gym typing selection does not give it a fair shake at all.
Plus it suffers from only getting grass and normal type moves like seemingly every grass type
You could count Leafeon and Glaceon in Black and White 2 as well since the areas where you would evolve them are only accessible in the post-story
Technically, location based evolution wasn't _FULLY_ retired as of gen 8, it's merely been relegated to an alternative method. PL:A has a mossy rock in the first map and I'm fairly certain you can evolve Glaceon on the mountain in Paldea
Let's also not forget Slaking, whose Truant ability makes it easy for an opponent to spam protect every other turn and turn his 160 Attack into essentially 0. Even if he hits, it still averages 80.
This one really a problem in competitive you can easily have the game set to game mode shift and one-shot something with slaking then change pokemon
Mienfoo also shares the burden of evolving and being obtained late. Mienfoo evolves into Mienshoa at lvl 50 and in Black and White can only be obtained at Dragonspiral Tower (which is at the 7th gym, tho it is a Ice type gym which is nice for it), Route 14 and Victory Road. At least grinding Mienfoo isn't as bad since it's physical attack and speed are decent for a pre evolution and you get it at lvl 33 so grinding it is managable...
But still, just pick up a scraggy mates, better typing, captured rlly early and has the best type for a unova playthrough, fighting
Especially since Scrafty is pretty solid in gen 5 runs. Fighting/Dark was a decent defensive type in gen 5, only having two 2x weaknesses since fairy didn't exist yet, and it matches up well against 3 of the Elite 4, plus Scrafty has really good defense stats, a solid attack, and a good movepool.
Yes but Mienshao makes for a better wife.
@@XxDigitalDaftPunkxXAyo what?
You wanna know what's funny about Gen 9 Weavile? It doesn't learn Throat Chop despite the fact it got it as an Egg Move in SwSh and BDSP. They straight up took a move from it!
The dead weight part with Nero cracked me up😂
JPR censoring "selfish" with "dumb" is lowkey funny asf
I love Zoroark, but team preview hurt, and it hurt even more knowing young me couldn't use a newfound favourite in my first playthrough of Black back in the day.
I like location based evos in concept, but yeah, (most of) them being changed in SwSh to evo stones was a much needed change if the insisted on continuing to forget or make it annoying.
Not to mention if you're talking about current day stuff it's one of the many Pokemon that're competitively outclassed by their regional form.
Luxray is my favorite mon, and has terrible speed for an electric type, and not a very diverse pool. It also is stuck with a monotype, so no extra defenses there.. it's overall decent but.. aaaaAAA please luxray learn better moves or something
8:58 YES! I WANTED SEVIPER GET AN EVO/PARADOX FORM IN GEN 9 😭😭😭
*The biggest screw up is probably not getting a dragon or flying type Eeveelution in Gen 8. Come on GameFreak... Chloe for flying Eevee or Leon and Raihan for dragon Eevee are perfect candidates and you blew it!*
It should be Dragon to complete the "all Eeveelutions are of the types that were special (plus Fairy, which is definitely special) in Gens 1-3" rule.
Wait, did Sylveon kill and replace the Dragon Eevee? O_o
Idk I think giving us new eeveelutions is kinda played out by this point. I tend not to like gimmicks that fill up multiple slots in the Pokedex, like the elemental monkeys and the eevees. Especially with the eevees, it feels like a cheap way to make new Pokemon without much thought put into it. I'd much rather have an original dragon-type pokemon, like what we got in Duraludon. Or at the very least, new evos of Pokémon that don't have them.
@@bradigan Eevee is gonna be in every game no matter what. Accept it. The only region it wasn't available in a region at all before postgame/without trading was Hoenn.
@@robertlupa8273 No, I'm fine with Eevee being in the game. I just don't think we need more eeveelutions at this point.

Flareon. That's all I gotta say.
11:52 Actually, the event legendaries need to be transferred using the Relocator, which can be unlocked in Castelia City. The events won't activate if you bring them in with Poké Transfer.
WHERE IN THE WORLD IS MY BOY REGIGIGAS!?!?!?! THEY CONSISTENTLY SCREWED HIM OVER IN EVERY. SINGLE. GAME. Even in legends arceus, the game where pokemon dont even have access to abilities, THEY SPECIFICALLY CODED IN REGIGIGAS TO HAVE F*#@KING SLOW START- WHY GAMEFREAK WHY!? JUST GIVE HIM CLEAR BODY, OR EVEN BETTER YET, HOW ABOUT UNAWARE? ASD C KTJSGFFCA
Zorua is not locked behind post game in black and white, as there's an event item called the time capsule that lets you bring only the 3 shiny legendary beasts and celebi forward instead of using the poke transporter
still screwed over, just, not in the same way
Quick note on Surf. Early in the series you could teach this move to half the roster. It felt like half the ground types and most of the non-flying normal types could use it.
And yes, I taught it to everything.
What about Regigigas ? They made it keep slow start in Arceus, a game where abilities don't exist
I think it's really funny how the Eeveelutions, bassicaly Pokemon's 2nd mascot, are always an pain in the ass to get, with Evo Stones only being in Kanto in Gen 2, Eevee can't evolve into Umbreon/Espeon in FRLG, the same with Glaceon/Leafeon HGSS (they also are an pain to get in S/M) and the worst of all....no New Evo since Gen 6
(Also, Dunsparce got recked so much by GF, an single stage Pokemon that is always an 1% enconter in an random route...and it got Dundunsparce...)
One significant buff to Emergency Exit would be if it allowed you to put your Golisopod back in without losing buffs or a turn, as well as switched in pokemon being able to attack next turn, giving you free tempo control
Poor Regigigas never stood a chance
You ignored the fact that golisopod was designed around its ability. First impression only works on the first turn on the field, so emergency exit let’s it use it again.
I still feel like that is a mistake. At least if it had a hidden ability it would allow the player more options on how to use the pokemon.
Ah
So it was designed around being awful.
Almost all Pokémon are designed around being awful. Being a good Pokémon is luck; being a good Pokémon for a few generations and updated means they favor you and will never let you go
Another Pokemon I think of that got screwed over is Rampardos. High attack stat but the rest of its stats suck, especially its speed. Combine that with its Rock-type, it doesn't take much to take it out before it can get a hit in. The only way it could be useful if you did some setup beforehand like giving it a Quick Claw or having another Pokemon use Trick Room.
I go for bulk/atk with rock polish myself. It's not the best in the world, but once it gets going its not the easiest to stop.
I always assumed they expected people to buy emerald and trade it over soon as possible for that beldum
The physical/special split helped pokemon, but also screwed some pokemon as well. Sceptile had its signature move leaf blade become useless to it because its attack stat is weaker than its special and it still doesn't even have a lot options on special compared to physical. Plus its hidden ability unburden is nice, but speed isn't everything if you don't do anything either
Wish they would swap the SpA & Att stats or just give Sceptile Nasty Plot and Earth Power so it could utilize unburden on the Special side.
@@thedapperbear5354 I wish it got tough claws as a new hidden ability so it can at least be able to use its huge physical movepool
Surprised there was no mention of Regigigas its practically the poster child of getting screwed by GF
Zorua and Zoroark were useable before the postgame in Black and White. The feature to transfer them was not postgame.
