Greta Van Fleet are a great band if you don't think so check out some of their live stuff where they're not opening for someone. They really know the shit they can jam and go through stuff on the fly. They are so much like Zepplin and I think that's a good thing with most of today's shitty music they're a real Rock Band and have the chops to prove it. I was a doubter at first til I seen them just jam just free

    Lyrics:
    Dancing days are here again
    As the summer evenings grow
I got my flower, I got my power
I got a woman who knows
I said it's alright, You know it's alright
I guess it's all in my heart
You'll be my only, my one and only
Is that the way it should start?
    Crazy ways are evident
In the way that you're wearing your clothes
    Sippin' booze is precedent
As the evening starts to glow
You know it's alright, I said it's alright
You know it's all in my heart
You'll be my only, my one and only
Is that the way it should start?
You told your mamma I'd get you home
But you didn't say I had no car
I saw a lion he was standing alone
With a tadpole in a jar
You know it's alright, I said it's alright
I guess it's all in my heart, my heart
You'll be my only, my one and only
Is that the way it should start?
So dancing days are here again
    As the summer evenings grow
You are my flower, you are my power
You are my woman who knows
I said it's alright, You know it's alright
You know it's all in my heart
You'll be my only, my one and only
Is that the way it should start?

Mine was John Lennon. I was living in Maine and we're driving around looking for something to do and they kept playing Beatles music on the radio. I was really getting into it until I found out why. I felt like my heart had exploded. So, we were just wondering what we could do for the memory of John Lennon and so we decided to have a seance and try to reach him in the afterlife. We put on the White album and started chanting and calling his name, we were pretty wasted by then. But the oddest thing happened when we called out for a sign, the song "Happiness is a Warm Gun" was playing and it just started skipping the same thing over and over. It kinda freaked us out.

With a tadpole in a jar
    I know it's all right
    You said it's all right
I guess it's all in my heart
    You'll be my only
    my one and only
If that's the way it should start
    Dancing days are here again
    As the summer evenings grow
You are my flower, you are my power
You are my woman who knows
    You know it's all right
    I said it's all right
I guess it's all in my heart
You'll be my only, my one and only
If that the way it should start

When I saw the title I was hoping to god it was a Led Zeppelin cover by STP. I was right. Hell yes.

Saw Scott with the Wildabouts a couple months before his passing and he was still amazing . Got to see STP 3 times and it was always great . One of my favorites for sure

Same! Saw em in Austin right before their guitarist died. Then Scott died. It was a shitshow honestly, but I'll always love Scott. Happy to have caught stp live a few times in my life! One of my very favorites.
Won't even give the new "Stp" a chance...

Met Scott in Atlanta in late 93 or early 94, he was in town laying down tracks for the "Purple" album. I saw him several times while he was there in a bar that I worked at... he was a super nice guy, very humble I really enjoyed my little talks with him... has been and will be sorely missed. Made a hell of an addition to the band in Rock and Roll Heaven...

Wow great story... I sadly didn't get to see them here in England... They only did one small tour of towns and cities in 93... They did get to come Liverpool then but I missed it Other than that it was usually London... Top band la 👌

    Such good memories.
"It was, I'd guess you'd say, my way of apology for having been so critical of STP when they appeared on the scene like some crazy, man-fueled rocket. And not only was the knight up front freshly handsome to a fault, but he could sing too! As any supreme actor gives a real and different voice to each character played. It was STP's 3rd album that had got me hooked, a wizardly mix of glam and post-punk, and I confessed to Scott, as well as the band many times, how wrong I'd been in assessing their native brilliance. And like Bowie can and does, it was Scott's phrasing that pushed his music into a unique, and hard to pin down, aesthetic sonicsphere. Lastly, I'd like to share a thought which though clumsy, I hope would please Scott In Hominum. And that is if you asked me who I truly believed were the great voices of our generation, I'd say it were he, Layne, and Kurt."

Mike S. I’d agree with him but change Kurt to axl rose, although a total douche, his range was second to none.

Mike S. Billy kind of lost me lately with his like sudden super right wing leaning, conspiracy promoting thinking, and he seems to have developed quite the ego, but his tributes to all three of those men, Kurt, Layne, and Scott, have always been super respectful and thoughtful and I appreciate the hell out of him for that.
