I agree - the keyboard player wasn't great either. Scott, the Bass player, and the drummer were really on it though I'm sure Scott was out of his gourd.
Robbie Krieger is one of the most talented as well as educated rock musicians of all time. The Doors were the Garbage of their day. Every single one of them could hold their own against the greats. To say he wasnt close to Krieger is not an insult.
He was clearly under the influence and having a karaoke attempt at it after a few under the belt, I don't think the Wildaouts were good for Scott, enabling his continued substance abuse which ultimately lead to his premature death,2 and a half years later
