Let's see how many people are listening to this song in 2021 - 2024 🙏🏻❤
Yes 2021 and I was just looking at this video and thinking I would rather it was 1975 and I was in that old boat of a car cruising the desert, crushing beers , screaming at the sky with my boy jim, I think I would rather that I mean 2021 is fun and all but yeah I would rather crush beers and rally the dessert in 1975 with jim,, looks like he's getting some frustration out , is everybody in?
I'm just saying " shotgun"
yes
I am and I'm 21 bruh I love the doors
Yeah sure am. 13/1/21. Classic stuff definitely
I have always been rock’n’roll kinda girl, grew up listening to my dad’s records but, somehow, always overlooked The Doors, thinking they were too depressive. I’ve just discovered them this year, at the age of 31. OMG THEY ARE THE BEST. I am a bit late... but better late than never.
Make sure you also listen to Moody Blues, Led Zepplin, Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Heart, Pink Floyd (I got to play bass, drums & keyboards with them in 1994), Christopher Cross, Bob Segar, Def Leppard, Scorpions, Winger
haha, I have been a Led Zeppelin fan since 2007! They are my fav band ever. I also love Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Moody Blues, Janis, Ray Charles... But Scorpions, Def Leppard and Whitesnake are not my cup of tea 😅

Wow, almost 2 million views! It makes me feel so good to see many Doors fans (or any other music fan) watch my fan video of my favorite Doors song. I created this video almost 4 years ago and suddenly a few months back the views went sky high! The many positive reactions are very nice to read, but I do see some people complaining about the mix of using Steve McQueen in Bullitt (1968) or Barry Newman in Vanishing Point (1971).
I understand it could be weird to see some faces that doesn't have to do anything with The Doors, or doesn't match the song because Bullitt for example was set in San Francisco. If I remember correctly, I used these movies because I thought it would be cool to see 3 guys driving around in California in iconic American cars (Mustangs and Challenger). "Why not more footage of Los Angeles?", yes, I should use more footage of LA but at the time I couldn't find that much and I only wanted to use footage from movies. I used a few clips from Duel (1971). I could have used footage from home movies from that era, or documentaries. Ah well, maybe for another one. I hope this explains my choice :)
Thanks for watching, and thanks to the greatest American band, THE DOORS! "I gotta risin', risin'
... well, risin', risin' I gotta, WOOOO, YEAH, RISIN!"
No apology needed.
I've just watched this video for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Have to confess I was a little confused with the mixture of film footage, but you've explained it perfectly here so that's great.
It was an excellent amalgamation of footage and suited the song brilliantly.
Thanks for taking the time both to make this and to write an explanation.

His voice was complex, wide range and he didn't spare himself. When I listen to covers of Doors songs, many singers have problems, especially when he screams while singing. Not many can do that “get out” like this. Especially when I listen to the LA Woman album with all of its studio sessions. Morrison's voice was of course rougher than before, but what full volume and control he had despite singing at the limit. Wtf You have to be totally relaxed and at the same time let it all out to get close to it.

Jim Morrison was an amazing singer. Could sing like a crooner one minute and then this. Whoooooooooooooooooo Someone, once called him Sinatra on acid.
Yeah he was a great songwriter and showman too and he was only in his 20s and usually drunk at the time too. Such a legend. He dropped out of college but not because he wasn't smart enough to finish he just didn't want to waste his life there conforming to their standards and paying for the chance to do so. He taught kids more than any of his professors did no doubt.
I love The Doors alot. My boyfriend introduce that song to back in June or July. When me and him had a difference of opinion on who was cool.
I call him the Hippy Elvis. Yes he drank and took LSD. But alot of the time he was acting that way naturally. He was born in the year of the Water Sheep. The tough guy act was only half the story. Unfortunately he followed his girlfriend to Paris. And probably overdosed on heroin, because he was a novice at that drug. Stay off the opiates, kids.

Ray too!
That intro never gets old, love Jim's voice, he can take it to many levels, one of the best songs / album there is. Perfection.
I've heard this song a zillion times, loving it every time and just discovered the little hidden gem Jim put in L.A. Woman: Mr Mojo Risin - unscramble the anagram and you get - Jim Morrison- so cool he left that little surprise even if it's been over 50 yrs for me to know it lol
The same here for how long I've been rocking to the Doors and LA Woman, and the same for hearing about Mr. Mojo Rising. A hearty thanks!
@@danrose5104 You're very welcome- Rock on!! 🙂
That’s unbelievable!
I'm not smart enough to figure things like this out. But upon reading it, I find myself compelled to share with everyone
50 years?! Well at least u got here?!! Never too late
Jim Morrison, Michael Hutchins, Freddie Mercury, Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Holly, John Denver, Shirley Straughan all gone before their time..
Always thought Morrison and Michael resembled each other.
Quel vidéo 😮
Quel chanteur 🎻
Quel groupe ❤

I grew up listening to these, my parents always had them and others on in the 70s. This is one of their best songs ever. Mega tune.
One of the best songs ever created
Good bad ass music never gets old.😅😅🎉
Who’s here in 2024 to kick off a new year with the doors ❤❤
Love this song!

53 years after his death. I was born in 84 lol... man I can't imagine it would have been Jim's if he were still alive, (2024)... like nobody else...❤❤
Whatever people say you can't beat The Doors, one of the best bands EVER.
Jim was one of the coolest cats ever to roam the earth.
This is LA and the unknown open road combined together in one song.
It’s sad there has to be a swan song but if there’s got to be one, there’s no better one to go out on than this.
Rest in peace Jim and Ray. Keep trucking John and Robbie. The greatest band to hail from America.
Genius.🙏❤️🎼🎵.x
Nobody sounds like The Doors !
I want to yell at him "Jim don't close your eyes, don't do it."
The mood of this song goes from glad to sadness, then builds the mojo back up to gladness. Fucking brilliant.
That's about as good a summation as I've ever read. Lmao.
Nothing more bad ass than American muscle hauling down the pacific coast highway blasting the doors, god I wish I lived through that time
We are !
The 60's and 70's cannot and will not be duplicated. Had to be there. Sucks to be those of you that wasn't.
@John Peaches lol. Now is the time???? Yea. Ok buddy. You say so.
Plenty of them didn't live through it all. But they lived hard died hard.
3yrs ago, blasting doors ,cream, zep ,ripping down pac 5 ,s wa,thethru oregon, one in my 08 droptop mustang,a very american vac. Everyone ought to do it once.a
La música muestra su calidad a través de los años. 50 años después seguimos escuchando clásicos del rock, y seguirá así hasta cuando ya no estemos aquí. No creo que pase con el trapp, regaeton y tanta basura de hoy.
This song flows, transitions, and repeats so well. It’s one of those songs you can hear on the radio and not notice how long it is because you love every second of it.
No 😦 it doesn't you foooookin 🐍
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I know. My Dad loved the Doors. I never get sick of this or "Roadhouse Blues" ..
Definitely!!! Love Jim’s Growly singing voice…VRooM💨💨💨🦎👑❣️
One of my favourites!
I love Jim Morrison! He is from my grandmother's generation, who recently died from covid! It is very warm to see the time when these wonderful people were young!
I. Understa.nd. , sorry
Love how you put it!
he is my grandfather's generation but my grandfather living. In the 1968 he went to the germany.
YES ! Grew Up Jim Morrison Music & Day Of Woodstock { Grew Up In Area In Up State NY Also }
That car Jim Morrison is driving is a 1967 Shelby GT 500 mustang. Total beauty, very rare!
Wonder where it's at?
Thank you I wonder if someone own it and also is it fixed?
Thank you so much I really appreciate your time and reply. Have a nice night.
Thanks
@Steven Allmon Thanks I appreciate you for taking the time to reply me.
Love Jim Morrison. He is from the same city I grew up in. Melbourne Fl. My fam moved there in 1972 when I was 9 yrs. old. RIP Jim Morrison
Hello there, good day to you, and it’s nice seeing you here.
Stunning mix of old The Doors footages and this fantastic song, great tribute.
Amazing.
Yes!!! The Doors music forever 🎶🦎👑🎶❣️
Still missing You brother 😢
There will never be a better poet and singer like Jim Morison again ever
🦎🦎🦎🦎
🎖🏆🎯!!!Right on Bro Kev🇲🇽🇺🇸🌎🫡.
He loved LA
Jim looked so young and full of life in this. I hope he’s free and driving like this, without a care in the world wherever he might be #RIP
He died at 27 so he never had a chance to look old.
@@system3008 no duh. The comment was meant ethereally, not physically
He is at the Whiskey Bar with Bowie.
Great imagery louie del Carmen.
Ah don’t really hink he should be driving deid but ay
just turned 78 this month and still listening to this great song ! reminds me of my youth in L.A. once in Paris we tried to find Jim Morrison's tomb in the Pere Lachaise cemetery where lots of celebrity are buried, but we left because it was too creepy.
Bn a couple of times to Jim's grave.... He's buried right side / middle of graveyard but I bought a map for like 2 Francs off a local!
Definitely creepy!
Creepy?
There were rows & rows of mausoleums + eerily deserted of people
Seeing Jims grave in Paris was a memorable experience...surreal. what an incredible talent.
I visited Duane and Berry at Rose Hill Cemetery. Went by myself. Took me a while to find them. Also saw Elizabeth Reed's gravesite...

Well, I just got into town about an hour ago
Took a look around, see which way the wind blow
Where the little girls in their Hollywood bungalows
Are you a lucky little lady in the City of Light?
Or just another lost angel?
City of Night, City of Night
City of Night, City of Night
L.A. woman, L.A. woman
L.A. woman, Sunday afternoon
L.A. woman, Sunday afternoon
L.A. woman, Sunday afternoon
Drive through your suburbs
Into your blues, into your blues, yeah
Into your blues, into your blues!
I see your hair is burning
Hills are filled with fire
If they say I never loved you
You know they are a liar
Driving down your freeways
Midnight alleys roam
Cops in cars, the topless bars
Never saw a woman so alone
So alone, so alone, so alone
Motel money murder-madness
[Let's change the mood from glad to sadness

I’m 60 years young and love the doors, this track, always had a great vibe, excellent.
Jim never grew up. He was a child right till the end.
No problem except his tendency toward excess in everything.
