  • This video shows how to do a basic cable stitch in crochet. This cable stitch has 1 post-stitch and 1 single crochet stitch made in a twist. The two versions of this twist stitch can be combined to make a v-cable shown in the image. This tutorial is designed to provide the information to make the TBS stitch (Twist Back Stitch) and TFS stitch (Twist Front Stitch) in the patterns from Rebecca's Stylings. Alternatively, you can use this tutorial to make a headband with the two cable stitches.
The Chambord Cable Blanket is shown on the video thumbnail. This pattern uses the stitch in this video and can be accessed at the links below:

Please slow down as you do the demonstration!! A demo video is for those of us who need help in seeing what we're supposed to do. I'm trying to count the 4th stitch from the hook and you're already halfway thru that row. Since it's a demo and haven't shown a pattern, I don't know that an extended single crochet is coming next. You say single, but then do extended. I appreciate that you verbalize each stitch, but maybe say the next stitch first, then do it slowly a couple of times while verbalizing the steps. I've already had to stop and replay it 4-5 times and I'm only on the first row after "chain 9". I kept watching and tried to follow the demo, but you win! I give up! At least I only wasted $3 on your patterns. I won't be buying any more much as I like their appearance.

Are you planning to do more videos? I take it by how you do your videos you are for more advanced to intermediate crocheters, correct? I see you didn't bother to answer the first comment, but I thought I'd take a chance.

It's really a pity you don't understand the value of RUclips videos. Or, maybe, you just want the quick sale of your patterns, without bothering with anything else. Whichever it is, it behooves you to know that posting a thumbnail of something other than what is actually discussed or shown is considered deceptive and can reported as Misinformation or as Spam or Misleading. I KNOW how to make a basic cable.
No offence but I, for one, would never purchase a pattern until I had at least read through a previous pattern by the same designer that demonstrated they were able to write a pattern clearly and accurately. Being able to design and being able to write are two different things. And I have seen patterns (not by you but by others with the same objective) that are so disorganized and poorly written that they make no sense whatsoever. Everyone thinks they can write-- and few ever have their patterns tested to be sure they are accurate.

Sadly i am unable to follow the pattern you sold or this video. I don’t understand why you would treat your people this way.

I am sorry too to say that you are not very consistance in your crochet language. One time you are calling it a FST, and the next time it is a BTS. I think what you are making is great, and as I watch the crocheting I can break it down into a correct pattern but it took bit of playing and rewinding to get that was happneing here. Thank you for the work but maybe write out a script first of how you are doing the pattern and what each step is and the proper terminalogy. Keep trying, it will get there. Again thanks for your hard work. We do apprecaite it.
