Mine says can't clean. Server error clean is not allowed on disk containing the current boot system pagefile crash dump or hibernation volume. So what do I do??
@@NorthernVikingEverydayhello, i did all the instruction and cleaned my ssd , then when i open and click mbr or gpt the partition goes back again. I cant format my ssd , please help thank you🙏🥹
I tried many ways to delete a recovery partition from an external drive. Your instructions are immediate, short, clear, and above all effective! I do not know how to thank you. Aris.
@Northern Viking Everyday I'm 70. I wish I had found your video 7 days ago. I have downloaded about 5 pieces of software trying to get 6 - 4 TB HDD's wiped and reformatted from were I was sending recorded shows from a Dish Hopper 3 to them. I had them pick-up their equipment 4 days ago. I'm disabled, that's why they came to me. I thought I knew a lot on computers since I first used a Tandy TRS-80 Micro Computer System. You are probably one of the top 4 people / person that explains things to were even a old an can understand it. I love the way you go slow and show each step. I did my last 4TB HDD just like you showed and within just minutes it accomplished what the others took about 14 hours each just writing zeros to them and having to do it that way. I have subscribed to your channel. Please keep up these great videos.
Out of all the videos I've watched on how to format my external hard drive, this has to be the most comprehensive and effective tutorial I've seen thus far. Thank You, your explanation is greatly appreciated!
Dude, YOU ... DUH ... MAN! i'm a former I/T - PC Tech but forgot a lotta this stuff in the four years i've been retired. This helped me considerably. Thank you.
AMAZING!!! You really provided an amazing solution when everything else was seeming to like it wasn't going to work. I almost gave up until this. You are a legend!
What some may think is a hard task (my self included ) You made it so simple to follow! So clear and cleanly done. Thanks for getting straight to the point. I've subbed :D
Brilliant! l have been looking for hours on youtube. I followed your instructions and in 5 minutes my external hard drive is clean and ready to be used. Thanks!
YOUR A LIFESAVER... Man you saved me, after an hour looking it up and reading to download a program to do it. I just didnt wanna do that. Then came across your video and it worked perfectly.... Thank you so much..
Excellent video, cant stress enough how good this was explained, saved me hours of risking infections, by installing dodgey free software. I was able to clean my 500 gb ssd in seconds. Thank mate your a true ledgend. I subbed too. You taught an old dog a new trick with this video. Thanks!
Great information, simple and to the point. I also like how you showed us how to verify that we were on the correct partition before it was deleted. About the only way it could have been any simpler would be for you to be at our computer and show us the steps in person!
So many videos watched to try to figure out how to get a used hard drive to work, this was awesome step by step took me five minutes and my hard drive is ready to use thank you!
Really great tutorial, I always get stuck with the recovery partitions on redeployed laptop SSDs. You could not have articulated this better. Thank you!
June 25, 2022 - This is a GREAT video. The host gets right to the point, and explains each step clearly and carefully. While he wants to build a following for his videos, he sticks to business without any extra chat. I wish there were a way that I could help people avoid the other lengthy and confusing videos on the same topic. I am going to post this link with my review of the SanDisk SSDs I purchased through Amazon if they let me. One thing that the host doesn't mention, is that in Windows 10 (AND Windows 11?), you MUST select GPT, in stead of MBR when given the option if you are formatting a drive larger than 2 TB. I hope the host will add that to a future version of this video.
@@NorthernVikingEveryday June 25, 2022 - You are most welcome sir. Credit where credit is due👍👍. I look forward to viewing your other video tutorials as time permits. As promised, I did include the link to this video in my review of the two hard drives I purchased from Amazon. You might want to consider finding a way to have some of your videos posted along with product reviews on the Amazon product pages. I’m no newbie, but I bought spinning disk hard drives when I actually wanted SSD external drives. In any event, thank you for letting me know that you saw, and liked my comments. I assume back in 2020 hard drives of over 2 Terabytes weren’t very common. Which probably explains why you didn’t discuss it. As the Trekkies say, “Live long and prosper, sir.🖖 ”😊
You made it so simple even an old man like me can understand. I did have to replay certain sections a couple of times I'm not real fast when I type and can't remember what was said. You have a new subscriber thanks again
Thanks! Just when I needed to delete, and without rummaging through my notes, your tutorial did the heavy loading, in a fraction of time! Thanks again!!!
Great video. Best I could find. Simple to to get full use of my 3TB HDD as an external backup drive after removing it from an older PC. You really earned my thumbs up and subscribe!!
Thanks a lot man. Got 2 Health partition on my old laptop HDD which I connected as an external drive on windows 11 and got it working with your video. Once again Thank You.
a couple of hours ago, i almost junked my hard drive, but i connected it to my cell phone, and it asked if i wanted to format my usb connected hard drive. i did, 5 seconds later, i had a new hard drive, with 553 G of space!! its worth a try...
Thanks for the tutorial. I never learned this at school and never once needed to do before, so when installed a new m.2 ssd as my bootdrive and merge the old sata ssd into one drive, I've started getting the *There Is Not Enough Space Available On The Disk(s) To Complete This Operation* even after formatting both partition. Now I was able to properly clean it and create the drive as one thanks :D
THANK YOU!!! I had downloaded a Windows 10 install on my hard drive, and I panicked when the drive reformatted from 465gb to 32gb 😰 Luckily i backed up all my files beforehand (and didn't have many important files). I followed all your steps and now the unallocated space is usable!
Thank you, that was easy and straight forward. I appreciate this so much! I had an 8TB drive that was set up in a ton of segments previously with a Linux build on it. I wanted to use it as back up storage and now I can!
