    If you want to delete all partitions using Windows 11 the procedure is similar but I made a dedicated tutorial for it so that you won't make any mistakes :) Windows 11 Watch here: ruclips.net/video/p_cNBryIJFk/видео.html

      Select partition 1. Or 2 or 3. It is not “select 1 or 2. Etc”

    Excellent. You got rid of a lot of frustration caused by consolidating files onto another disk, leaving me a 10T HDD empty, but with 9 partitions, and not knowing how to get rid of them.

    If you just want to delete all partitions at once, enter diskpart, select your disk and then write the command “clean”
    Edit: after deleting all of your partitions they will override and then you just want to write the command “create partition primary” while the disk is selected

    fantastic. simple, straight forward. This video worked perfectly, I decided I would just start with a clean SSD after going back and forth over windows 10 cloning and boot errors no one seems to have any idea what they are talking about or how to do anything they give advice for just to get a lifetime total of 30 cents ad revenue. I'm glad this video was much more helpful than those.

    I like your videos, but what about just using "clean" ?
    Warning: Once you type clean and hit enter the drive will be erased. No warning will be provided.
    Same as in the video
    type "diskpart" and press Enter
    type "list disk" and press Enter.
    choose which disk you want to delete then in this case disk1
    type "select disk 1"
    type "clean" and press Enter. disk 1's partition, data, and signature is now removed. You will return to the diskpart prompt.

      Honestly his video is a good way for somebody that wants to just delete a partition or 2, but he fucked up when he did the same thing for all partitions and deleted them separately and ended up deleting everything. He might as well used the "clean" command as you stated instead of just deleting them one by one

    Just use disc management, delete the partition you want. When it becomes unallocated, expand the volume on the other half. You should now have your original factory disk quota.

    Nice video. A word of advise, be very careful on how to remove a partition in particular, especially if you boot Windows 10 and Linux with Linux installed first, and if you no longer use Linux and delete the Linux partition, on the next boot, computer does not boot showing a GRUB error, so have a Windows 10 installation media (via USB stick or DVD) at hand to reset the MBR and such or re-install Windows if necessary if you encounter a horrific mistake or if you delete the wrong partition and computer no longer boot once you restart it and ALWAYS BACK UP your files to the cloud or an external hard drive/SSD/USB thumb drive

    • @GMODISM
      @GMODISM  4 года назад

      Good advice!

    • @hellspawner8410
      @hellspawner8410 3 года назад

      hey your comment doesn't really makes sense. You're saying that you have one HDD/SSD with 2 partitions containing 2 OS's. If you wanna delete the linux partition and leave the windows partition for example, it doesn't make sense to delete the linux partition and leave the windows partition intact. What would work best is to just format the HDD/SSD via dvd/usb media and format the entire thing including both partitions at once and start over. Without completely re-formatting the drive, it might lead to some missing files and lost path to some files

      Virtual Disk is the "Safe Mode" of the PC where you can enter it to experiment with, without breaking the entire PC. You need to first exit the Safe Mode and boot from the windows itself. i think that this is your issue here. Lemme know if this helped :)
