I wish it wouldnt install extra programs except shutup10 or atleast ask for every single program
You are awesome
And dont remove the Action Centre
@@fred-youtube I just did that. Also, Action Center can go die in a fire. I hate it. If I get enough comments about it, I'll make it a toggle though.
I would add an option to remove Edge too, if you uninstall it with control panel it removes new edge but guves you back the old edge
Yeah so, my cpu actually reached 0% of usage, Chris you're amazing, you´re something else, you deserve the best in this world man thank you so much.
You have no idea how much I appreciate the content you upload. It's literally changed my hobbies and career path for the better.
Thank you Chris.
As of 12/31/2021, this thing is incredible. You can create your own ISO based on your own personal config! Extremely good job!
Really glad I found this channel and video. At the end of the video you asked what else we’d like to see; I only use my computer to play one game and have decent hardware, but it like to maximize and focus all the pc’s performance toward running that game. Would this script be the solution I’m looking for, or would a more specialized script work better? Thanks for your videos and all of the work you do.
I think a debloat script shouldnt install additional software.
Or at least ask for it
@@pcislocked I'm agree with this. Even adware installers allow user to exclude the ad itself.
@@pcislocked yeah
True
it does pretty much the same thing windows 10 does, shoving what they think is the best down your throat.
Suggestions:
Make different levels of the script like:
[Low] (only remove a few things)
[Medium] (for most people) (default)
[High] (removes an extreme amount of things)
I also recommend adding decisions to the script like:
Do I want to install xy software?
Do I want to uninstall xy software?
I dig it, I'll start coding different runs.
@@ChrisTitusTech Hey Does the wallpaper also get disabled permanently ?
@@ChrisTitusTech Wil this command delete the apps that I already have installed? You said that this command deletes apps, so I just want to make sure before I run this script on my computer.
Exactly what I thought!
@@cmillett85 I don't think so,Bloat refers to the apps that come with the O/S
Chris I want to thank you for your work. I discovered your YT video after I was at the point where I wanted to smash my laptop out of frustration after it took literally 10minutes just to boot on Windows 10. After I followed your video and used your PowerShell command my laptop was way faster. Thanks again and keep up your efforts.
That fact that he said "if youre watching this video 6 months from now" and i am watching this video after 6 months of this being uploaded is like some kind of prophecy..
Have you tried the script

I'm watching this video 6months from when it was posted 😂

Chris, Thank you for all the time & effort you're putting in this project. I hate it when people complain like "debloat" that installs which is just a technicality. You can't please everyone so don't be discouraged. You're doing a great service for the community, keep it up!
Hey man, I watch a lot of your stuff and it's very much appreciated. This new debloat script of yours is terrific. You've added and subtracted just the right stuff for ANY Win10 user. Big thanks for taking the time to do this and maintaining it. Keep it up! Good shit.
Nicely done! Appreciate the time and effort you put into this ... thank you!
This is so ultimate clean. Thank you so much for this simply genius!!!
Thank you so much for this Chris. Really really appreciate what you do. You make things easy to follow!
many thanks chris for your videos I now feel confident using tech I am very happy there are people like you using there precious time to educate and inform brilliant chris thanks for sharing your knowledge and expertise with everyone. mint guy.
You're insane man, how did you manage to create this! I was watching you before when I was on Linux and now you've created this.
You forgot to put the link in the description but everyone can type "DEBLOAT WINDOWS 10" and it will pop up for you. Great script I will use it soon when I buy new PC.

This is an absolute gem. RUclips should rank this video #1 worldwide.
Greetings from Spain, thanks for this script, I have been able to improve my privacy and install programs that will come in handy on a day-to-day basis.
For personal reasons right now I cannot make a donation, but as soon as I can, rest assured that as far as I can I will, thanks to people like you, we can still improve our pc and our privacy.
A hug :)
P.S.
I feel my English, I use a translator.
I think this is fantastic. It's a well balanced and practical one hit solution. Very easy to modify too, if certain things aren't to taste as might be the case for some - but I like the choices. I use a variety of media players and browsers. VLC is a good staple; one can always add or tweak their choice. I normally use FF and Chrome but appreciate the Brave option. Great work Chris!
I definitely helped more than I thought, I mean I have a threadripper 1950x and didn't think this would speed windows up much for me, but man its snappy now, It feels like the early builds of windows 10 when it was snappy. Thanks man, will be using your script on all my PC's!
Awesome work man! I’ll be looking forward too trying this out this weekend
This earned a sub, thanks for your work
Not all heroes wear capes. Salute to you Chris!

Thanks so much for this! It's just saved a very tired laptop from the recycling centre! Your work is very much appreciated.
I wrote a script just to fix the task bar pinning and default program changes that happen after EVERY update, but it's been annoying to maintain. This looks like a good alternative; thank you!
Thank Chris...you are a great help to the community! As someone who sets up windows PCs for family...this script is great!!!
I like the bloatware removal. I'm not a computer geek, but your instructions were simple and clear. I had to make just a few minor adjustments to my display afterwards for personal preferences. Now my OS boots up in 22 seconds as opposed to 2 minutes. Thanks bud !!

Thanks Chris for the Debloater script and the free VLC and Notepad ++ programs, I ran this again yesterday morning selecting System Updates Only but had a Windows update in the same evening and it installed MS Edge again and News/Weather on the task bar - Not sure what went wrong, but have now resolved the matter by restoring system to last update.
Thank you so much for the script Sir Chris.
My "Go-To" channel for dealing with tech... Thank you Chris!
Impossible to make a script that pleases everyone, but thank you for what you do.
Sure you could. Make 4 of them. Three levels of debloat for the lower level users. One that lets you choose everything for the power users.

Your video just happened to pop up on me and my computer was getting slow, not even looking to fix it, so I tried it and it's so much faster, I had 218 processes running before and after running the script it was 136, amazing.
Would love a tutorial/walk thorough of the script so I can learn to write my own.
U came like santa for me 😁 exactly what i needed 😎
I spent last night switching every button to off wish I watched your video before, but i will try this code to just be satisfied 🌚
Thanks Cris, I tried the script over a Win11 Dev on my laptop, and seems to works well.
Great work! Thank You for your time!
Thanks so much, Chris. Happy Holidays
Dear Chris, thank you very much for taking the time to make this video.
And thank you very much for sharing your work and your knowledge with others.
Stay safe and sound!
Best regards from Chile.
hello Chris i live in new Plymouth, New Zealand and i have a slow laptop for ever slow.
But Now i have used your Debloat Windows 10 program my slow laptop has turned into a speeding freight train
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP WITH THE Debloat program
I'm looking forward to using it thank you! Do you have a more intensive version of this?
Thank you, Chris! I followed your instructions yesterday and I just wanted to say WOW! I have a desktop running windows 10 Pro 64bits and I swear that it keeps getting faster and easier to work on. So far it is great. Much apprecaited.
I should add that after a couple of weeks, my hard drive is fried! Not blaming but I feel I should report this as well. I now have no means of continuing to offer my services as a graphic designer or a job. In SA it is literally a sentance leading to homelessness. My HD was perfect before I went and followed your advice. I regret it and will never get another opportunity to say so. Silly me
@@thoughtfulshorts662 Oh man, what bad luck. Good that you report it. This sort of scripting was fairly new to Chris at the time but he started using mostly parts of scripts that had been written and used by others mostly successfully for a few years before.
As far as I know the scripts theoretically improved your performance because they mostly just stop other things you don’t need from using your resources up. So if your computer was working better for you it theoretically was not working harder just doing the same in total but all on your stuff rather than half its energy on your stuff and the other half on the other stuff.
So sorry anyway to hear what happened.
I now remember that in previous videos, at least 5 months ago Chris did mention that some scripts remove "melt down flags" on chips to improve their performance. I think he mentioned that those things are often done for business uses but less important for things like home and game use.
But I think as a result of feedback Chris reduced considerably many things in his script to make it much more light compared to others at the time of this video.
Out of interest, I will try to post a link to some parts of his previous videos where he discusses the issue.
Unfortunately, comments with links, even to RUclips, often get tanked by some anti-spam algorithm. I will try in a next comment
I can see the last comment where I gave the link, but I don't think you or anyone else can. At least not as I write this
:(
Here is another discussion from Chris on the theme of disabling the Meltdown Flag which he had at the time in the ### Security Tweaks ### section of his script.
It was uploaded on 13 June 2021. But it was actually the Live Stream done on 14 August 2020,
So that would have been over two months before this video on the Oct 24, 2020. I have a feeling that he did not get around to implementing much in his script after that Live stream.
I will try to post the two links to the exact point in the two videos in the next comment. I expect as they are links the comment will get tanked.
What a terrific command. Thanks so much. I couldn't believe how much dross was being ripped out of my laptop - it's still painfully slow but it is not a dead stick like it was before following your advice.
ENJOYED THIS VIDEO THANK YOU SO MUCH

That's definetly a nice script!
It would be nice if it could be started as in interactive mode, so it would ask for every program to be installed as someone may never use vlc or irfan or chocolatey.
I'll add it to the next revision, thanks for the feedback
oh yes that would be awesome! Great script tho, I am definitely gonna try this on my surface!

Thanks Chris! From 202 my running processes came down to 127 and 1% utilization. This is with an animated wallpaper. Imma watch more of your vids. More power .
The script is a great idea. A good tool to remove duplicates, Images specifically.
I've used your de-bloat script before and it was like magic, but perhaps a bit too aggressive, so it's really important to give the user the option of choosing which stuff to remove. I have 2 questions. 1 will this clash with mcafee? 2 will I have to repeat when windows does an update? Many thanks for your work.
Thank you so much for this. This helped me out so much!
Thank you for help with this. It seems to work very well.
I've been waiting for something like this for so long...The second I pasted that script into powershell...tears of joy
congragulations, what specs you have
Thank you for this great video!
I wish there was a function asking for the kind of updates I want.
I only want security updates. No additional bloat or telemetry
Dude you really resourceful and helpful, thank you
I have an older system, (former Government server, Precision 690!) thought I had tweaked to the max, but thanks!! This keeps even more of my 24 GB of RAM free!! And leaves even more of my dual Quad Core processors for my important tasks, and not for Microsoft's idea of important! Subbed, looking forward to exploring more of your content!
And, I've been practically pulling what little remains of my hair out, trying to get all 64 GB of my RAM recognized by Windows, to no avail...so 24 is pale in comparison to the potential. LOL
holy... 24 gigs? hot damn
Some of that is going to depend on what version of WIndows you're running. Workstations / personal PCs by default do not use 64 GB.
Pin Control panel and devices printers in start menu.
Ask for unistall onedrive.
That was my suggestion
+1 one drive must go :)
oof my sister pays for microsoft stuff like word, and my account is in the family so she pays no extra for me to get 1tb of onedrive and all the word and stuff. OneDrive uploads faster than Google Drive, Dropbox and others. I have run tests and it is best. I use a lot of it, so I could never remove it. The only thing I do, when I play Video Games or want it to run faster, I just right click OneDrive in hidden icons, and I then press stop onedrive, then you can enable it back whenever and it is simple to do.
@@wesleyvoss9535 Live tiles were created for advertisements. I don't care what anyone says....
@@vram1974 On Windows Phone the live tiles was useful. On windows 8 they did basically nothing and on Windows 10 they mostly seam to be there to put ads for “pay to win” games or buying MS office.
@@PatrikKron I agree . Windows Phone, the tiles worked. Was a great OS while it lasted.

Thanks Chris for making it easy. I’ll take your recommendations for the installed apps. We’ll see how it works on a 5 yr old Surface pro i7.
Could you make a version where we get to choose more options of things we want to remove. Also thankyou for making it simple and usable.
Windows Image configuration designer is what you need its in the Windows ADK
Thanks for this! I don’t use windows often but when I am forced to, this script will definitely make it less painful.
Great stuff man!!
I checked out your website and it's great that you've updated the script with a GUI so that we can choose which programs to install. No point in debloating by installing programs that you or your partners deem useful.
I love this, just don't want it to decide for me what to install, that's why I would be running a script like this in the first place.
Thank you for this! Does this have to 're done for every user or can I run it once as an admin and it applies to all current or future created users?
each user
This seems like a very fast and safe way to minimize Win10 to a reasonable and functional level. It's very impressive this has all been consolidated into one command. I used O&O's Shutup10 and Appbuster programs to adjust Win10, so I could see exactly what was being changed, but if you're not picky, this will do everything at once. It's quite amazing 👍
damn! once again your video help me ❤️ I only have 93 processes when I check task manager. thank you so much. glad subscribe this channel and meet with this channel ❤️

I always come back to this video when I fresh install W10. Top!
Just a warning for everyone here, I didn't dig deep into it, but this thing does A LOT of things that I didn't want it to do.
Installing some softwares(not the ones that it asks for), removes some settings such as hidden icons and more and more.
I'm not saying this is bad for whoever wants this, but I personally really DON'T like this one. I much prefer the method in the older video which lets you CONTROL over what options you want or not.
Just something to share with you guys
My one and only command to speed up windows 10 is, "Install an SSD and clone windows over to the SSD."
Simple! Then get rid of some of those pesky apps!
@Akshay Khatavkar I second this
Funny - just so simple as that? 😀 OK, actually not.
Have fun with lacking ssd support on the kernel side
Also to remember to leave at least 50% of that OS drive free. Helps with extending life span and keeps r/w speeds closer to advertised values.
always interresting your informative videos Chris most appreciated.
I noted this and will definitely try it at home. Thank you mate
I would like to see VLC and Irfan being optional too...
I really like more MPC (actually, version with K-lite codec pack) and xNview, because it has more functionality... qbittorrent would be OK too...
But, maybe you can do it like this:
1. question if you like to install default programs (whatever you choose) - If yes, no more questions.
2. If no - option to install nothing and option to go trough optional installs (for all of them).
Edit: I see you already did it with prompts - but I let original comment above...
Personally, I'd like to see ALL changes a Yes/No(all) option.
Your script would install stuff I have already removed and delete stuff I use a lot.
Agreed, I'd prefer a verbose mode of the script with prompts at each step.
@@RoastBeefSandwich Seconded. This aio stuff is fine for new systems, but for an established box that needs a pick-me-up you want something fully modular.
Thank you for sharing this 😊
thank you so much for giving such easy clear instructions....so many do not....!!
Option for chocolaty and all of thoses things you install with a little tag saying reccomended by you to install( more choice/options)
nah chocolatey can stay, all those other can be a toggle tho
EDIT: for those against chocolatey, use it yourself first, it's amazing
Would this get rid of my nahimic audio?, because it is a pain to reinstall and i honestly dont want to go through the process again
Worth mentioning that you'll find battery life on a laptop extended by at least 50% or more, and you won't have to endure the fan spinning up all the effing time too - bliss. This is a major benefit, even more so for an old laptop with a tired battery. You get nag popups from Windoze at every boot though.
Hey Chris, nice job. If I run this script on a Win 10 install with all of my software programs already installed, will the script affect any of those programs?
Would I run this in my daily driver, or should it only be done just after a fresh install.?
Yes you can run in in your daily driver I wouldn't affect you programs which you had installed!
There are lots of simple to answer questions left unanswered in the comments here. Attempts to answer them in a reply often results in the reply being deleted. Not a big issue. Just saying there is not a lot of point currently in asking a question in a comment or trying to answer it in a reply. Maybe that is how it should be. I don’t know?
this is awesome, gj!!!
I successfully installed windows 11 on my 1st gen ASUS K52F laptop. Thank you so much sir. I will be your follower.
I would like to see it to give you the choice between media players, defaulting it to VLC because that is what most people like means others that like MPC is getting something they don't want.
You could always uninstall VLC and install MPC. :)
VLC isn't only a media player, it also works perfectly as a video converter (works with a wide range of formats that I can't name off the top of my head).
Thank you! From 133 to 88 processes. This helped my old laptop run faster
love your work and videos
Search suggestions isn't working in microsoft edge. when you disable windows telemetry it change your browser to Managed by your organization so I can't change it back. Tried changing group policy settings for search suggestions but that doesn't seems to work. Anybody know a way around this?
I tend to prefer to install software myself. Sometime for example, I have a stable older version of a software, and I keep a copy of a dowloaded exe file to re install from, if and when needed, and I prefer to choose when I update the software to the newest version, if at all.
But the newest script at this time, allows you to choose if and what you install, so that’s cool.
