    Thank you for this great video. I would like to know more on the exam structure part. Let's say a person is doing 4 modules per year on the pro level. Does it mean they are going to write 1 exam of any of the 4 modules in every quarter of the year then finish or it's exams every quarter on all modules until the last exams at year end? I hope you understand my question.
    And also what is the pass mark for professional level(mark needed to pass)? The average and the pass mark of each module.

    Hi Abbie, great video I really enjoyed it. It's great to see a black UK person's experience of ACCA on RUclips as there is hardly any content on the web. Do you mind making a video on how your experience went at the strategic level. Any tips or advice on your last 4 exams.

      Thankyou so much! Honestly that's one of the reasons I filmed this as I rarely saw any content from people like me when I needed it. Yeah I was thinking to film another video on how I studied, but specifically for the strategic level. Now I know someone would actually want to watch it, I'll definitely make a video on that soon

    The problem with ACCA (and even CIMA) is that neither ACCA nor CIMA supervises the training agreements. So, it is essentially the training / experience profile what makes you stand out not the qualification paper. This is a definite disadvantage with ACCA/CIMA.

    I actually registered with ACCA also because I studied Management and Accounting but the journey has been hectic as I've failed twice and I was out of job a couple of times and it demoralised me. I intend to write this September, God's willing and I want to start preparing from now. So help me God.
    I hope to write taxation and I pray I get money before then to put in for the exam.
    Thank you.

    Hi, I would like to start my ACCA journey but I don't know where to start as I don't have experience in the field and I have a degree in a different field. Do you think it's doable for someone who is starting from scratch?

    • @AbbieAppiah
      @AbbieAppiah  Год назад +6

      Hi, yes its definitely doable! Even without a related degree or experience you can still complete the ACCA. You won't get exemptions from exams, so you will have to sit all 13, but the ACCA will teach you from scratch everything you need to know. I'd suggest starting the ACCA/a professional qualification before applying for jobs so employers know you're serious & it'll increase your chances of being hired for a role. I will eventually do a video on this aswell, as I know many chartered accountants who made it without a degree or experience.

    How many years does it take to complete the ACCA exams

    • @AbbieAppiah
      @AbbieAppiah  Год назад

      It depends on how many exam exemptions you have and how many exams you decide to take per exam sitting. But if you have no exemptions and you're only doing one exam per sitting, it'll take you somewhere between 2 to 3 years to complete all 13 exams

    • @gauthapandith
      @gauthapandith 11 месяцев назад

    • @iam_izzi
      @iam_izzi 10 месяцев назад

      this worked once for me, when I booked and passed both Tax (Tuesday) and FM (Friday) , the first time I attempted to book 2 exams I booked Tax (Tuesday) and PM (Wednesday) and failed both. So IMO it's better if there's a day between the exam days to ease the pressure. All the best !

      @AbbieAppiah  Год назад +1

      Yes, it's a globally recognised qualification

    • @gauthapandith
      @gauthapandith 11 месяцев назад

      There is actually nothing called GLOBAL, only debit and credit is GLOBAL ! , Accountancy is a rules-based qualification , rules differ from country to country , so how do we expect any accountancy qualification to be GLOBAL ? So, it is really a misconception to look for a GLOBAL accountancy qualification ( unlike engineering or medicine). Besides you will never apply UK tax that you learn in ICAEW /ACCA, cos you do not have a burial plot in the UK to get buried when you die !

  • @StacksQueen

    Must you go to uni before acca

    • @laptopgamer9570
      @laptopgamer9570 Год назад +4

      You don't have to. Both ACCA and CIMA allow students with at least a high school leaving certificate to enter and study. But of course now for ACCA you'll have to do all 13 exams and CIMA complete the certificate level first and the 3 year professional qualification

    • @laptopgamer9570
      @laptopgamer9570 Год назад +3

      I would advise going on both websites and reading the course structure. Then once you've made up your mind, search which institution provides it. Kaplan if you're in the UK and there are others across the world in different countries that act as a provider.

    • @gauthapandith
      @gauthapandith 11 месяцев назад

      If you go to UNI, it will make it easy for you to undergo the ACCA program, as you have done some prior studies. Otherwise, you can still make it , but with an uphill- battle. UNI education always trains your mind and prepares you for further studies, make no mistake on that, it is very valuable.
