  • Today’s episode, we replace and clean parts that would result in radiators getting hot when the hot water is running and why the hot water fluctuates hot and cold on a @WorcesterBoschHeating boiler.
    If you’re noticing your heating comes on when the hot water is running, chances are it is the diverter valve. If your hot water fluctuates and runs hot, cold, hot, cold - it is likely the plate heat exchanger!
    This has to be the best diverter valve to replace on a boiler - EVER!
    Thanks for watching!!

      100%! Happily change them all day long! Ironic as everything else on this boiler was designed to be difficult and awkward 😂

    Great job....i like an engineer who gives their customer sound advice about all options available to them and the pros and cons of each....you're right when you say not every customers budget can stretch to whats best for their system at the drop of a hat...you've now given them a chance to save and consider their future options 👌

      Exactly that! You can only offer best advice - unfortunately we don’t live in a perfect world where everyone has mountains of money to power flush annually 🤷🏽‍♂️

      Thank you Arif, appreciate your support as always! Probably one of the worst I’ve seen although there’s a video coming in the next couple of weeks with a plate even worse 🤣 spoiler alert! Thanks again!

    Did you charge for all the parts as a diagnosis?

    • @RJHeating
      @RJHeating  24 дня назад

      Hi, good questions, there are so many variations as to how people charge! The way we operate is a charge for diagnosis or repair where possible that usually covers up to one hour, if parts are required, the client would then be given a fixed cost quote to return and repair but the initial diagnosis/repair charge is still taken. Thanks for watching!

      @@RJHeatingYou not work for yourself? Diverter and P2P to be bunged is bad. You will get a recall on this, guaranteed.

    • @RJHeating
      @RJHeating  24 дня назад +1

      @@56ty78uiyes, I work for myself. Correct advice was given to the client and repairs made to suit their current budget to get them back up and running. Not everyone can afford to fully flush the system etc on the back of their boiler breaking down and so all we can do is offer a range of solutions for them to pick which best suits them. You can’t force people to get a flush done.

      @@56ty78uiGet in the real world you don't go round fixing everyone's system issues without getting paid for it. If it blocks up again in 12 months time it's not a recall he's done all he can do.

    Mate that drain cleaner is lethal in contact with other metals,it will eat away at it if not thoroughly washed away, hope no animals walk past that mess left on the tarmac, should of cleaned it out in the customers yard gully.

      The road was washed down after with the spray gun in the video. But thank you for concern. In 18 years, I’ve never had it eat away at the metal in a plate as it’s washed out thoroughly before reinstallation.
