It's funny, I was just talking about this last week with a student. I definitely have some thoughts, and I need to come up with a way to present that in a video because I think it's really important. Lol, so.. thanks for the reminder!
Wow, thank you so much for such a great quality video and amazing instruction! Just used this in my classroom today as we're getting ready for the fall and setting up our drumline. I've tried to teach my students over the years this style of playing but the analogies you used and the explanation are superb! I've learned as much as I can from people who have marched under Paul Rennick but this by far is the most well defined in depth look at it all. Thank you so much!!! Keep it up!
Yo, I literally started using a dribbling a basketball analogy a few weeks ago. I’m not sure if I heard it somewhere or if it had just come to me, but it TOTALLY changed the way some of my newbie drummers approach playing their drums. Thanks dude!
The struggle is real! Believe me, I wish I could make videos more frequently.. I've got a full time job, a part time job, and I'm a full time single parent of two. Lol, and I don't even have a girlfriend. 🤣 I usually take a few PTO days here and there to shoot, and I edit in the lulls between things. Hopefully someday this channel will take off enough for me to quit at least one of my jobs lol
Word. Drummers are stick-dribblers. The very first moment I have with a new student is us in my driveway with a basketball thinking about the physics of dribbling that thing. 👍🏻 Finger-dribbling vid. ruclips.net/video/adh7n3DtaHU/видео.htmlsi=2nv5yx1IeGg02ujI

Everyone's gotta start somewhere! Thanks for the support!
Hey sir. Can you do a video about Wrist, Forearms and Fingers(how or when should we use them when we play a certain strokes)?
