I’m currently taking the Google UX design course and I came across this video, my confidence just went 📈📈📈 it’s only a matter of putting yourself out there for the community to help. Very inspiring video. Thank you.
Yea me too I’m taking the same course and I was worried that wouldn’t be enough but your video really helped me, great strategy. And much more wow you’re truly impressive, you keep a journal you manifest wow, i hope you know how awesome you are, great video. Thank you!
This is a great illustration of working adjacent to UX (marketing and web) and using that to shift right into a UX role/ or any role that really interests you. ALL the schooling and experiences built a solid foundation, including tattoo so recruiters who dismissed that aspect are just - ugh - uninformed. For anyone else looking for a UX role please do note that too many recruiters and corporate HR reps **do not understand this role AT ALL** so Lily's approach of going right to the UX people at the company is peak networking gold! this is so important. As a UX leader, there are several people who have reached out to me directly in the past who I continue to advocate for, and are top-of-mind when a UX role comes up.
Now repeat but control for "white woman", see if you can? "he messaged me about a week later and said they might have a role for you". 👆 This says it all. Rest my case.
lol it helps to be a cute female too.. Tell me Eileen, how many times have you taken some time to meet a young MAN for coffee to give him some tips.. like she mentioned at 8:42
@@Deimonos85 It's unfortunate that you introduced a gendered perspective into the conversation. Lily's competence and abilities should be the focus, regardless of their gender or appearance. As professionals, it's important to recognize and appreciate the skills and experiences that each person brings to the table, rather than making assumptions based on stereotypes. Let's keep the discussion focused on promoting equal opportunities and fostering an inclusive environment for everyone interested in pursuing a career in UX, which is central to such an empathy-based career.
It's so impressive to see how you were able to become a UX designer in such a short amount of time, especially without any previous experience or bootcamp training. Your dedication and willingness to learn and improve are truly inspiring, and I'm sure many people can relate to your journey. Your hard work and determination have really paid off.
It's a very inspiring story, even if she already had experience in grafik design. I also think that that guy wanted some female company, unfortunately.
Our stories are kinda similar! For me though I worked in graphic design for 4 years, I quit my job bc I couldn’t take it anymore (I was underpaid, burnt out, underperforming, & it was super toxic work environment on top of everything) and I started to really regret my career choice. Working in design I was exposed to UX and became somewhat familiar with the very basics of it and I thought it was really interesting. I had been dreaming of making the switch for so long, I just didn’t know how until I forced myself to figure it out. Bc I was unemployed I couldn’t afford any classes, not even the Google UX course, instead I went to target and bought a notebook and watched every single free UX video and free resource I could find. I filled that entire notebook out, then I skimmed through my entire work history for any UX relevant thing I could find, polished it, did a few practice projects, and rebuilt my portfolio and resume. Then I just started applying everywhere. I got super lucky and landed my dream UX position that I thought I could only accomplish in my dreams lol. I did have imposter syndrome for the longest time, and maybe I was an imposter bc I didn’t have any formal UX training or education but I’ve learned so much in my position. I really threw myself out there and manifested and sometimes I still can’t believe I did this. It was worth all the pain I went through being unemployed 😅 idk why I watch these videos bc I have the job but I think I just love hearing peoples stories and finding other UX designers.
Loved reading your comment, my hat off to you , you are one determined person Brittany, it goes to show if you want something in life , one has to have razor sharp focus , commitment and positiveness, such a great thing you have and all the best with your UX career !!
Honestly this made my day! I love hearing similar stories of just taking the risk, quitting a toxic job to find a job that works for you with like little to no help, if we had the money to do a bootcamp maybe we would have but that was off the cards hahaha Thankyou for being here I’m glad you found this video 💕
@@looksmatteronly It’s hard to say exactly where I started and got to where I did after but I will try my best! I started with researching common UX terminology and memorizing/writing down the definitions. Those definitions lead me to learning about UX processes such as the design thinking process aka definition, research, analysis, design, and validation. And also UX strategies and UX best practices, such as doing a competitive analysis. Learning the difference between UX and UI. I learned about the different types of UX such as UX Research, UX design, UX writing. I started following a lot of UX designers online and binging their content which lead me to discover more things to learn and research. I just kept going down rabbit hole after rabbit hole. OH and also even though I couldn’t afford the google UX certificate program, they have a FREE trial for a week, so I did the free trial and skimmed through as much as I could to try to catch definitions and more things to research. I only got about of weeks worth of learning out of the 6 months they offer but it was enough to get me some more exposure. I hope that helps! Honestly following designers online probably helped the most bc there are so many UX channels out there that want to help current or future UX designers like this one ❤
Girrrrrlllllll, You are the person I want to be in 2023 with my dream job: UX design. I'm so glad I came across your video because I have been contemplating on whether I should join a bootcamp because its easier with someone guiding you but because of circumstances I want to pursue self taught aspect. I love that you believe in manifestation!!Your story truly inspires me to set my mind to acheive this goal of becoming a UX designer in 2023!!Thankkk Youuuu!!!. Also, congratulations on landing a Job in UI/UX design in 3 months!!!
Manifestation has been so key to all this! There’s such a power in visualising your goals and making a plan You got this! Keep me updated on your progress 💓💓
@@itslilycameron Everyone I know says exactly the same thing you say. I do believe there is such a power in visualizing your goals but struggled in the past to be consistent. Thank you! I appreciate the offer. Will keep you updated 💕💕
Manifesting is important, but being open-minded and eliminating (or at least a willingness) your own bias, in design, is essential. As a User Researcher a good Designer to work alongside is so important, I've worked with brilliant and bad, the ability to verbalise decisions to others is the greatest skillset you can have. Good look in your ambition to become a Designer within UCD/UX. Rooting for you.
Yeah, I think she being an outstanding beutiful girl helped her to get that coffee talk. But she had courage however, and her effort in those 3 months helped her have something to show off and get that job.
exactly, im director of XD in one of the biggest agencies on the field and what she is stating is unrealistic, she may got lucky but you CAN NOT be a UX designer in 3 months. Thats bs right there, in 3 months you can barely scratch the surface, either you talking about principles of UX/UI, either the software. People like her makes people believe that UX its easy and the result is that you have a sea of horrible "self called" UX designers and makes it harder to find the talented ones.
damn!!! all i needed to hear. Also planning a career change at 33, after working for 7 years as a Visual Merchandiser Manager in retail. Restarting is so hard, but this video definitely gave me the confidence and motivation to keep doing what I am doing. Thank you and congrats for all your achievements.
se prepara pra ralar, buddy.. pq não sendo mulher novinha e bonitinha, vc vai ter que ganhar os trampos no talento kkk.. não vai ter gerente de empresa indo tomar café contigo e dando dicas pro teu portfolio kkk
Hey! I am glad to meet someone like me. I have an experience of 4.5 years as a merchandising manager in e-commerce & I had to closely work with the graphic designers. That is when I realized that I am interested in something like this. I gave up my job & currently enrolled in Google's UX Design course. I am super excited for this new journey & I wish you all the best for your future! I hope we both become great UX designers in future!
if you can be a UX designer in 3 months ill get you a beer... Little girl speaks out of her butt for clicks.... You can be but be ready to dedicate a solid intense 1 year at least to learn the basic principles and software and that only if you are already a designer and you have the fundamental design principles...
realising that being completely self-taught in this field is possible gave me such a boost of confidence. I'm just at the beginning of it all and been having a lot of doubts, very glad I stumbled upon your content!
I've been teaching my kids similarly. As someone who spent 100k on their education just to wind up working somewhere I didn't need any of it, I've told them a lot; "Just do the things you love doing and you will get good enough that you can make a living on it and love what you do everyday."
@@derekprosperoa lot of UX Designers studied art in school lol, and make $80k entry level salary a year so I will definitely be encouraging my kids to study art!
Now this is what you call valuable content. This will apply to all who want to change their career, where to start, and the discipline that you need to do to make it happen.
First off, CONGRATULATIONS! I am in very similar shoes. I graduated last year and went through 7 months of not being able to land a job. I was going to be a teacher, so my English degree was pretty useless when it came to applying to anything that wasn't in the teaching field. That's also where all my experience was, it was in teaching. Out of the blue, I got a job as a UX Researcher, and have been at that job since May (My first day was actually my birthday lol). And now, I am trying to become a UX Designer, am halfway through getting my credentials, and I can't wait to take it to the next step. Thank you for all your tips and help. I will be a UX Designer by May! Imma manifest that shit! Just like you!
@@Diana-yr8kr honestly, it was out of the blue. I was on Linkedin and a recruiter reached out to me about this UXR job. All I had was a bachelor's degree in English. I had teaching experience as well. If you aren't on LinkedIn, I highly recommend that you make one. It is without a doubt a necessity in this job market. Having a LinkedIn is almost as crucial as having a resume.
Awesome job making the jump! As someone who took a year to transition to UX and took half a bootcamp, that’s super cool you were able to self-teach and leverage your experience to get a UX job so quickly and especially in this job market. Cheers!
I totally agree, I’ve been there in the job market where it’s just rejection after rejection so it was such a breath of fresh air to start new and have a rapid change ! Thanks for watching
I love how there are kind of like progress bars that are based on each part of your story. Found it satisfying and somehow helped me stay focused since I knew approximately how much longer the video would take.
I was on the verge of running away a moment ago.. The Re-Learning process is overwhelming for me right now... but I think I will be able to continue what I started.. I am grateful I found this.. Thank you for sharing your story
This video was so refreshing. I sometimes hear really long timelines and such. But I love that you brought up manifesting and just having a positive attitude. Thank you!! I needed this!!
Man, sometimes RUclips algorithm is pure gold! My career is a mess right now and I am actually undertaking a course on UX design. This made me feel so much more hopeful than I was before. Hopefully I will also be able to manifest my dream job! Thanks for the video!
@@ipe90 Well joined as an intern recently. Still working there, hoping that they will give me a contract after the internship ends. I am actually surprised that anyone asked how it's going! Cheers!

Bring a student is a such a weird time! But you’ve got this, all your hard work will pay off ❤️ Glad the video helped u!! Keep me updated on your journey ✨
Hello Lily, I am an aspiring UI/UX Designer. I came across your video here, and it brought so much inspiration and encouragement to me having the same experience as a fresh graduate and not really knowing what I would do right after. I was smiling all throughout the end while watching this video. Please continue to radiate hope and inspiration to everyone. Thanks 💛💛
this is so inspiring and cool!! i loved hearing about how you gained more confidence in your skills in your first job. i also got a job within 2 months of starting to teach myself copywriting last year. i am still in uni so i haven't gotten my first big job yet but your video just made me really excited. it was kind of like a pep talk, so thank you!
My feed really said FOR YOU!! Our story and journey is so similar, it’s almost freaky 🫣 left my last job and I am now applying for UX jobs 🤞 I am so so happy for you, congrats! Listening to you has also pushed me to start documenting my life and I might just start doing that, thank you ❤️
this video is so so much of inspiration for a procrastinator like me, i'm happily crying for you and your journey. thank you so much for sharing and i will put myself together right now 😭
omg, i loved your personality!! so enjoyable to listen to your stories. you boosted my motivation to keep going! im facing exact same challenges in my life right now as you did. Graduated as an chemistry engineer, working in the bank, not happy with this job, feel like completely lost myself in this life. So i decided to find a ux ui designer position for myself in 2 month (last december to current day i was totally in studying and observing this designing field). Critical for me as i anounced my quitting from the current job. No way back. I know i will achieve my goals but anyway feels scary a lot. THank youu for the video!
Hey there Lily! I loved your story 🙂 this is Claudia, I'm the founder at Floxies Community, an international community for women in UX UI design and Webflow development. Just like you, I thought myself design during the evenings after work throughout a super stressful time of my life - I was a primary school hlta for 8 years prior to this and when the pandemic hit us I really focused on finding a way to change my life. I'd love to connect with you and I'm sure lots of the girls in our community would love to hear about your story too 🙂 Super well done! 👏
@@Charleset yes I am! 🙂but the origin of our name comes from the Latin "phlox" which means flower or flame and it's also the scientific name of a flowery bush that grows in tough conditions so we thought it'd be a nice metaphor for women growing in tech. 🌸
You know I changed careers too, I also had a business degree, then started to learn marketing more in depth, then design, and now I found that I like Art direction/Creative direction, and I realized after all this time that my degree actually helped me, it's really valuable to have a broad scope of information and experience.
I'm a graphic designing student, I have three years left of it, BUT GURL my main interest was coding, but then I was like I don't like math and physics but I had to learn those if I wanted to study IT or such thing, so I was like every website or app or whatever needs designing and I love art so I chose this major, but this summer I've been super confused about the future, like I've slept with tears in my eyes lately so many nights, and I really wasn't familiar with UX design and I've been searching about it recently, and I feel like that's actually sth I can love and work on, and your story is INSPIRING AF, you're a superhero fr, 3 months is incredible, thanks for your words, you made me feel so better, thanks, Imma start my journey asap, love you, keep shining 💞.
Hello! You came across my feed tonight. OMG!!! So amazing your journey!!! Thank you for sharing!!! Your words of encouragement and of struggle and of mindful insights are spot on!!! I’ve subscribed and looking forward to continuing this journey we call life … together! ❤
i loved how active and conversational (?) you were during the process; texting people on linkedin and asking them their opinion on your work is a great idea; i always thought it could come out as too intrusive/annoying, but then realised that if someone asked me something about my field, i’d be happy to give my opinion and help! it’s just sooo hard to get out of this anxiety bubble of what ifs
You are SO motivating, you have just brought light into my life. I need to begin serious work towards my goals, and not only career related. Thank you Lily.
Can I just say I appreciate you uploading this video! as someone who is in the process of switching careers to UX I find soo much of your journey relatable and makes me hopeful that handwork to make a change does pay off in the end. Thank you again! Also, big congratulations on landing a job in UI/UX design in 3 months!
This video just gave me sooo much confidence. I was starting to feel like the process to become a UX designer was so long and my goal was so far away and possibly unachievable. MAnifesting is definitely something I need to do and thanks for giving a guide too. Everyone says to manifest but doesn't really give advice or instructions on how. Thanks so much, Lil!!!
I can relate so much! working 70 hrs a week my full time job, during nights studying UX design and working on my new YT channel on the weekends. I am so focused to change my career i sacrificed my health, my social life everything! so nice to hear your story! i hope i will be able to tell one soon too
Thanks tons!!! You really just went got it full on with that momentum and visualization and manifested your desire! This video is such a gust of fresh air and inspiration for me and everyone else who’s embarking on this career change. This really shows how anyone can do it and gives us confidence that we all needed. I’m also on the self-taught path, and just started keeping a diary for manifesting my desires and goals and a place for me to write out what I feel at the end of each day. I wish you and everyone else who’s on this journey the best! I know I can manifest my desire just like you have! And I will!
I just wanna say you: thank you so much! You have no idea how your story changed my life. I`m struggling with a lot of decisions in my life. You just made me think and decide my future! Thank you again. Love from Brazil!
this is so inspiring it brought tears to my eyes. i'm going through the same process and it may be a little bit more challenging because i intend to move countries. it's just the beginning but i'm manifesting the shit out of it! thanks for the video and congratulations ❤
I have son's in their 20's, my oldest, an economic major seems ro be thriving in his financial position, my youngest has a few years in college, covid disrupted his motivation. He is taking a few classes, not full time, but its something and working part time. I love to hear about young ppl taking the initiative as far as their careers. Thank you for your story... All the best 😊
You’re such an inspiration to me. This is exactly what I want to do. I know I was mean to see this in the first day of January. Currently doing the UX Design Google course. 🎉good luck to everyone in the comments
The more I watched this video, the more I started feeling as if you are stealing my words out of my mouth! I am in a really similar situation now, the only thing is trying to make a transition after 7 years of working as a communication specialist and content writer. But I have always handled websites and creative projects in companies along with my tasks, and this video is such a motivation! Kudos 👌
Im glad I saw this video..im right now on a similar journey, looking to transition to UI/UX due to a better work life balance. But, I have 5 years of experience in marketing and am pretty done with it. I've realized I like to work remote and minimize socializing. Its day 3 of learning Figma lets see where I get. Sadly India, has too many designers, but I still have hopes because if my efforts.
Omg tysm Lily! You really inspired me, I’m starting my journey to become a UX designer. I was really worried about being a self-taught but this video motivated me to start! You don’t know how grateful I am. I love your vids. Greetings from Mexico 👋🏼
Thank you for this video, it is really inspiring. I can see myself working the UX/UI field in the future. The funny thing is that you started your journey in January 2022, and I'll start mine now, in January 2023. I'm currently doing a work/study program in communications for my master's degree and I have a year and a half to create my own experience in the UX/UI field before the end of that program. I thought I was late, but you have shown me that anything is possible when you set your mind to it.
These networking, messaging, and coffee grabbing would never happen to a guy. I have tried everything in architecture, messaging, and events networking and all I got was SEEN; unfortunately, I did not get a single reply. I admire your hard work and persistence, and thanks for the video. It was beneficial for me. Thanks a lot
I started Front End Web Development recently and am looking to manifest a career in the field. Listening to this has given me a real determination to get through the tough spots. Nice Video.
I'm currently learning the basics of UX design and was unsure what the next step should be. So, your video is just what I needed. Thank you very much 🤩
This video is so inspiring !! I am thinking about getting into the tech world and your story inspires me. You put in your half and spirit did the rest. Happy for you girl! 🎉
I'm currently looking to switch careers from being a teacher to a UX/UI researcher and I just wanted to say that this video was not only informative but it was INSPIRING. I completely identified with you as you talked about how your marketing job was draining you and after hearing you talk about your success from reaching out and building networks I was inspired to email my research advisors from university. Doing so brought back so many memories of my fondness for research and discovery. The fire of passion that went out months ago was lit again tonight thanks to you. And now I'm motivated and determined to do the work necessary to work in a career that will make sure it never goes out again. I'm **manifesting** this shit for my 2023. LEH GO!
Good luck, as a User Researcher I can confirm, it's an unbelievable job that I am very lucky to have done well in. Best of luck for you in 2023. If you ever need advice or inspiration, feel free to reach out (you'll find me on LinkedIn).
Hi Lily! Thank you for this video! I'm currently in my last semester of Uni doing a course I hate, and honestly, my grades are about average, but dropping out and changing courses was never an option for me. I have started to learn graphic design on my own single few weeks, and I can spend hours on it and not get bored, unlike my degree, where I write 200 words and leave it for like a month or am physically unable to pay attention during lectures. I'm also working on my dissertation, and on the side, I study GD now. I hope to be able to get a GD apprenticeship, so after my graduation, I can start working with other designers and get hands-on experience! :D
Thank you for sharing your experience 🥺💜I am experiencing something similar, I am finishing veterinary medicine and I am loving the design and content creation.
Lily! It's such an inspiring content that you do. I'm happy for you to get your first job so fast and easy, you deserve it and I'm proud you did it! Yeah!! Separate thank you for the information you give in your videos, that was very useful. Have a great day!
I actually just recently started getting into this and your video really motivated me to do better. It's been a month of me trying to teach myself and I was almost gonna give up. Thank you for this video and lemme tell you that you did manifest it but not without putting all effort into it. I am so proud of you.
Congrats on your achievements. I love it how my experience coincides with yours somehow. I am also a last year economics student working at business sector but I try to develop a graphic designer career because that is what I truly want. I have a passive income as a freelance graphic designer but I want to be full time designer so I design and design and design when I have a free time. Your story is so inspiring for me. I hope my dream will also come true. Good luck.
i graduated uni feeling similarly to you - looking for a job i might fit into while knowing i want to do other things and not being sure how to get into the industry (gamedev)! i started looking at job descriptions and learning the skills mentioned and am still in this stage of the process - it is SO inspiring and heartwarming to hear something similar from another person and that it worked out! (: i'm happy for you, thank you for giving me some hope and sharing your journey!! i hope it continues to be incredible (:
This is 100% not normal this is the exception to the rule im not shitting on peoples dreams but i promise you this isn't the usual an don't get discouraged if you cant find a job i know people that have been applying for years in UX
I completely understood when you said you finally understood what you were doing when it was coming to an end. I went to school for Mechanical Engineering. I spent the first three years just surviving. But that final year things started to atleast click. Perhaps part of it is knowing that your time is coming to an end and your brain just has to wake up and try to understand things for what they are (adapt), rather than trying to fight what you're being taught. You accept that you may not understand everything but you learn how to adapt is the biggest thing I've noticed.
Hi Lily! New sub here! First of all,I’m so glad I was recommended this video, it just gave me a much needed boost of motivation lol. I’ve been trying to learn UX through online courses for about 3 months now, but it’s been hard for me to picture a positive outcome for myself because I feel so inexperienced and I lack the confidence as well. I have a question for you: Did you feel any form of imposter syndrome when applying for these positions? And if you did, did it ever, albeit momentarily, stop you from wanting to make the career switch? I’d love to hear your response❤ I’d also like to ask if you have the links to some of the videos you used in your self-taught journey? I’m off to watching your previous uploads now lol, can’t wait to see what you put out next!
Hello I'm glad you're here! Of course I felt some imposter syndrome along the way, I speak about that in some of my vlogs when I asked for a promotion, but the key is to be almost over-confident (or at least act like it). I mean confidence when reaching out to people, in your unique value and perspective, and in your vision of your new job/life in 3/6/12 months time. I did have moments where I thought am I going down the right path? Do I have the skills? Is this really my dream job? but I looked at this less as a "dream job" and more of a dream lifestyle - remote creative work from home, able to gym on my lunchbreak, chill colleagues/fun to work with. I wasn't going to settle until I found those things so the imposter syndrome died down. Also I'd really recommend the M3 material design website, lawsofUX.com, I watched these on my learning journey too: - ruclips.net/video/kbZejnPXyLM/видео.html - ruclips.net/video/iIq8FLt1hUY/видео.html - ruclips.net/video/c_vGnUTEd-o/видео.html - ruclips.net/video/NhZDwZuCotI/видео.html - ruclips.net/video/KghSZ6_9ick/видео.html Please keep me updated on your journey!
This video has been so helpful. I’m currently in my junior year working towards my Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Information Technology at Arizona State University and I’m feeling the pressure to start working. The pressure is completely internally driven-I just can’t wait to get in there and collaborate! I’ve spent the last 4 years working for myself building a e-commerce retail brand that wasn’t as fulfilling as I thought it would be. I had no clue business wasn’t for me until I was in the trenches-but I built my own brand, designed all our deliverables myself including our website and I absolutely fell in love with creative problem solving. I’m struggling to connect the dots for my future employer to show that, while I haven’t technically worked in this field for someone else, I have loads of designs showing my progress and passion for the craft. I appreciate you laying out the steps you took to get where you are. It helps me see where I’m at in the process.
Thank you for making this informative video and putting yourself out there. In short, your hard work paid off but you definitely did get lucky. I only say that not because it's a bad thing but to help set expectations for others watching this video (also for you to level your expectations in future job hunts)
God damn. My job has been draining and killing me inside for nearly a decade. Good on you for knowing when to leave and making changes. I've just started doing that myself and it feels good.

I really appreciate this comment you have no idea 😊
She had a date, bro. The senior guy wanted attention and a female company.
How can you not see that?
How can the average man relate to this? .
It's a very inspiring story, even if she already had experience in grafik design. I also think that that guy wanted some female company, unfortunately.
@@PetyrC90 Go touch some books bro...
@sanyagoel2069 that's the first time in "He's just jealous" comeback when I agree lol
I love hearing similar stories of just taking the risk, quitting a toxic job to find a job that works for you with like little to no help, if we had the money to do a bootcamp maybe we would have but that was off the cards hahaha
Thankyou for being here I’m glad you found this video 💕
@@itslilycameron thank you, So happy to be here ❤️
What did you do to transit from gd to ux? What did you focus on learning specifically?
Manifestation has been so key to all this! There’s such a power in visualising your goals and making a plan
You got this!

Yes the feeling of getting motivation is amazing!
Same feeling here!
if you can be a UX designer in 3 months ill get you a beer...
Excellent advice. ❤

I will be a UX Designer by May!

@@Diana-yr8kr honestly, it was out of the blue. I was on Linkedin and a recruiter reached out to me about this UXR job. All I had was a bachelor's degree in English. I had teaching experience as well.

Hey there Lily! I loved your story 🙂 this is Claudia, I'm the founder at Floxies Community, an international community for women in UX UI design and Webflow development. I'd love to connect with you and I'm sure lots of the girls in our community would love to hear about your story too 🙂 Super well done! 👏
Hey…. Uhhh. Bit weird. But are you aware that “floxies” is a specific term for a medical condition called Fluoroquinolone toxicity syndrome?

I’d love to hear your response❤
I’d also like to ask if you have the links to some of the videos you used in your self-taught journey?
Also I'd really recommend the M3 material design website, lawsofUX.com, I watched these on my learning journey too:

God damn. My job has been draining and killing me inside for nearly a decade. Good on you for knowing when to leave and making changes. I've just started doing that myself and it feels good.
Was the boss attracted to you in anyway? Let’s be honest here.
Congrats! You are the 1000’th comment insinuating I got a job based on my looks as if there’s no HR team verifying my skill. Thanks!
Honestly congrats for taking control of your life, putting in the effort and sticking with it until you achieved your goal. As you said, this wasn't luck, this was working hard for what you want.

Kudos to you Lily! Amazing inspiring story how you transitioned in 6 months to UX. I drew a lot of inspiration and clarity from this video as I have just started off with a course on UX to transition into UX from my current Account Management profile. Good luck to you in your new role and keep inspiring! 😊🤞
