Welcome to my Ironman run of Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest. The rules for this run are simple, any units lost are gone forever and if I get a game over for any reason, the run is over, though I might re-start from scratch if the run hasn’t gone on for long. The difficulty will be Classic Lunatic, though I may change the difficult down to Hard if it turns out to be too overwhelming. I will not be using any bonus items or recruit any Corrins, but I will allow people to visit my castle. I might also buy an Einherjar if Unil is for sale in the shop.

That was one of the heaviest 'never-punished-moments' ever though. I always love how the chat goes batshit crazy aftersuch moments. :D

Probably the most impressive out of all your Ironman runs. Fates Conquest Lunatic is one of the hardest challenges in the series.

It’s almost like Conquest was “his game” instead of Binding Blade. This is entirely because of how much he’s played this game.

I find that HB4 is kinda wasted on Roy with his refine, even Swift Sparrow 2 would be better since you're giving up Lulls

You need an A support with Kaze to be able to see his second death, guys. You just didn't get it in time.
I'm surprised people didn't know that every path has you losing a character in the birthright route i believe you lose scarlet or maybe that was revelations? Its been a while

Confirmed: Hard Awakening is harder than Lunatic Conquest

To be honest, reinforcements always come at the worst time in Awakening. That’s the one thing that Fates makes easier, ambush spawns aren’t a thing.
Awakening has ambush spawns so it’s not even the good kind of difficulty
That might be unironically true if you train a lot of units and don't grind. The stat inflation in Awakening is absurd.
Yeah i played Awakening on Lunatic recently. Stat inflation is a big problem, unless you're Robin or Morgan, and Ambush spawns were always the worst, but Awakening really takes the cake.
This just reminds me that all Fates death quotes are, "I've been defeated but I can't fall here! I must make a tactical retreat!"

I normally don't care whether armor knights live or die, but I knew that run was cursed as soon as we lost Effie.

All 3 iron mans he's finished have started with a fail
The only reason Jake can make these videos so fast is because of Cirno putting in work behind the curtain.

Mangs beat Lunatic CQ Endgame, on an Ironman run, without Rescue chain cheesing.
Absolute chad.
That's the real impressive achievement. That map is such a headache even when you've planned it out.
That's basically how I beat it my first run
Wasted the rescue staff earlier in the game and managed to win with a couple of units dying in the end holding off enemies so I could kill takumi
I mean, you are saying that like it's something that hard.
He basically sacked half of his army so Corrin could reach the boss, Conquest endgame is not hard if you just sack units and try to make Corrin speedrun the boss, it's hard when you try to do deathless.

I bet I could've done it with zero deaths but I just wanted to finish the game since I was so close

There was at times i thought you'd get overwhelmed and overpowered and lose the run, but you somehow managed to pull it off.

I remember the Takumi incident was my very first time watching a Mangs stream. With that I was introduced to this Egg and his absurd luck... and Mangs Math.
This was peak Mangs focus mode. One of my favorite moments was when Mekkah got proved wrong and Mangs complaining about losing babies.

If there was one thing that we all learned from this ironman...
It's that Selena is a bad unit, and you should never use her for longer than 1 map.
Hey, that's not true! Selena can be a very good unit...if you give her every stat booster, every single tonic and she's the only unit you ever use, then and ONLY then will she become the best unit in the game 😎

To be fair she was useful because of his high move on the last map, but only that time.
Selena just can't keep up with the stat bloat towards the end of the game.
Selena is an op support unit, she is a healer that flies and learns rally speed. The only one in the game with access to that shit aside from azura but why would you give up your dancer.
I love these compilations. It's bad to laugh but its something to enjoy after a long day at work.

This is the first ironman I watched because I've only played Fire emblem games from Awakening and after. It was hilarious. 10/10 would Gruh again.

I was legit expecting a Vengeance proc from Takumi for the final boss punish
I remember how it was a mixed feelings watching this live seeing the two units carrying the run, Rallyman and Ophelia dying a turn before Mangs defeat Takumi which makes me sad but super proud because he beat Conquest Lunatic Ironman. Binding Blade might be his favourite game but I have to admit Mangs is still the master when it comes to Conquest 🙌🏼 (despite playing carelessly to take risks at times)

We really need a Camilla compilation because for those of you who did not watch the streams Camilla nearly died around six times throughout this Ironman. She survived thanks to luck and last minute saves and it was truly an experience every chapter with her. You never knew just what kind of situation Mangs would put her in.
I remember the last map being bad, but fuck, that was such a bloodbath

As much as I don't care for Fates characters, this is the most painful thing I ever watched.
the Reason for fate's sloppy story, is because the writers where trying to achieve too much with not enough time. Intelligents Systems had an idea for Fate to have three stories to appeal to everyone, but they realized that they didn't have enough writers. So they hired an outside writer, Shin Kibayashi was that writer. Intelligent Systems wanted Shin to write the outline for each pathway, what happened instead is that Shin wrote 500 pages for each pathway. Nintendo knew this was too long so they cut the story into pieces without the writers permission and the fact the Nintendo demanded Fates come on the Fire Emblem Anniversary only made things worse. Which resulted in this hilariously mess of a story. The good news this that there is a manga based on Fates that is a little better. Its called Fire Emblem If: the Crown of Niberlung.
