- I replayed Fire Emblem Fates, but this time with a twist, only using 2 Classes, both of which you cannot obtain anymore. Will I be able to save the world with only witches and tanks???

Maid and Butler are decent combat classes too because hidden weapons are actually really good.

The funny thing is with a Powersaves device (idk if you need to have bought the DLC, I did because new classes and the other paths) you can still mod the characters to be any class no matter the gender. It makes for some pretty cursed stuff and it’s very funny with the animations.
To be honest, i have no idea where or how people are getting this stuff. I've seen a regular ds powersave device but that was the only one i've seen.
@@zuziiice8907 I got mine from GameStop. There’s also an amiibo Powersaves device as well but I wouldn’t bother getting that one
I normally see it pop up on Amazon or GameStop’s website from time to time. GameStop will have it cheaper most likely, but I got mine when they were more popular so it was only around like $20 at the time
I love how as soon as the servers shut down I been recommended a lot of Fire Emblem Fates videos. I'm even playing the game again.

Ramzaes you know that you can literally buy infinte tonics since the start of the game basically right? They are buyable from the staff shop and they cost 150 gold each, you probably should buy HP tonics for your more defensive character each map as this way they are less likely to die.
I mean, with the mod he already had a million tonics in store already. But considering he didn't even know units could promote mid chapter, maybe you're asking a bit too much from him

I doubt we would ever get a Fire Emblem Fates remake. Sad as I pretty loved the recruit generic units and being able to capture enemy units and recruit them. Sad we cannot change their illustrations and all. Some of the generic units are pretty cool.

This run would've gone so much better if you got Point Blank on at least one of your Ballisticians, and kept one alive to safely damage Anankos without attacking him directly.

Dread fighter and dark flyer are both locked to having digital copies of fates
Also I think the Lord classes (Lucina and robin) I think are dlc locked
Okay, but why did you add yourself all those weapons for free?
Can't you still get the free DLC stuff as long as you've downloaded it before? The Anna's Gift DLC does let you access 1 reclassing item for either Witch or Ballistician.
I'm still annoyed that Ballistae can't kill, that would make clearing squads of flying enemies fun. And not OP because Ballisticians are hard to use otherwise.
What about capturing enemies?
Yes, you can still play any DLC you've purchased, and get all of Anna's free items.
You can't however update your files with the Crystal Ball anymore to get Battle/Visit bonus items and weapons though.

What do you mean people think Fates is some of the worst? You’re just lying if you think that’s the general sentiment. Story-wise, sure, most people agree it’s a mess. But besides that, the characters are popular, the mechanics are pretty well liked, and some of the best maps of the DS/3DS era. Especially Conquest, which is actually a fan FAVORITE among hardcore players.
Congrats, you’ve successfully baited my engagement. But I hope people can see the that the FE fanbase generally had a positive outlook on Fates. especially after it was no longer the newest entry in the series and fans judged the game more fairly

Best gameplay actually but the story is bad so it's not the worst fire emblem........... we just mourn that these good character designs have a mediocre personality. 🐌

The common consensus is that gameplay wise Fates is really good especially Conquest but story wise it's one of if not the worst in the series
@@LostBlade776 It’ll never not surprise me looking back on it how much hate the game got. I absolutely adored the game, the characters were some of the peaks in the series and it clearly got enough of a fandom to have over 10K+ fanfics on AO3 and a similarly-huge fandom on Tumblr. I maintain the story itself wasn’t bad, it was the format it was presented in that really made it hard to follow, and it required a capacity to read between the lines to get a lot of what was intended (i.e. Garon making so much more sense when you realize he’s intended to be one-dimensional, as he’s literally a corpse on auto-pilot from an insane dragon god with no understanding of how humans work; why would he act like a normal person when his goal is the destruction of both Hoshido and Nohr?). Combined with the less-than-good localization as well as other contentious issues in the muck, it’s not hard to see why people dislike the story, and that’s a shame because there’s a LOT of good to it from what I’ve followed, but it’s hard to think of another good game that paints itself in a worse light than Fates does.
I personally cant stand all the incest/child marriage/hyberbolic child neglect chambers. Plus so much of the story and decisions the characters make is frustrating nonsense.
@@chedder4569If you're referring to Corrin/Azura, cousin marriages are culturally acceptable in most countries. Royal families the world over did it for centuries, that's how you have genetic disasters like the Hapsburgs.
Practically speaking, the only objective problem with cousin marriages is genetic, and even then only if it occurs frequently and/or consecutively within a given number of generations.
Corrin and the siblings from either royal family are another story, but I felt compelled to bring up the Corrin/Azura point because I've seen people attack it as incest with seemingly no awareness of other cultural norms.
@@TheAxeLord47911Going back, the writing itself is still godawful in too many places, but you are quite right. There is a lot of unappreciated subtext to the story which the localization largely butchers--as much as it takes away from their characterizations, Saizo and Beruka's localized C-Support is hilarious--and the good Supports, in my experience, fer drowned out by the bad ones because then I just want to skip them all.
Characters like Camilla have compelling stories, but get lost in the memetic mutation that the devs were clearly intentionally playing into.
P.S. I only realized in the last week that, his general abrasiveness notwithstanding, the reason Jakob seems so harsh towards Felicia is because of his similar past. She reminds him of his past failures.
Would love to see this challenge repeated by someone who is actually good at Fire Emblem. No offense.

i suspect you have a skill issue, so I'll check it out for myself as you got a lot of your best witches killed or made unobtainable. though some changes are needed because i don't have infinite zeals so i have to do the maps which gives me extra exp. i'll also add a rule for myself that i can use the paragon skill from another DLC and play on lunatic mode. thanks for the inspiration
Okay turns out if you have to grind for the zeals to advance to witch or balista you end up incredibly overleveled in rev and birthright, so yeah my corrin is level 17 on chapter 7
