Now this is what I call a review! All the details mentioned, from accurate measurements to practical impressions. Very informative and helpful. Thanks!
Thanks for the review... was thinking about these but now I think the colour temp is too different from my current lamps to make it worthwhile. BTW: Big fan of your channel.
A decent deal, but you could probably put together a cheaper set up. I put together a kit made out of three YONGNUO YN-300 III lights and have been very happy with them. Total, with batteries, stands, and the power cords was under $200.
They're not comparable products - those are 18W vs these 45W lights. They don't even list CRI for the lights you mention which is a good indicator that it's not very high.
@@davidhahn4854feel free to look up reviews. Caleb Pike reviewed them in his LED lights video, for instance. I've used them for over a year for professional work and am very satisfied. And given they too can be used for budget RUclipsr lighting, which this video was targeting, it was worth sharing with others I thought.
I just purchased one use soft box off of eBay! I’ll be using this for a key light! Would a 40 Watt daylight LED bulb be feasible for the soft box or a higher watt daylight bulb?
It’s freaking awesome - particularly for how many lights I’m going to review over the next year. UPRTek CV600, just reviewer it last week: ruclips.net/video/BQix3NiREBY/видео.html
Excellent video as always. That tester was a great investment for the channel 👍 Light requirements really depend on what you're shooting with and how large of a scene you want to light. Remember I was looking at the SL60, but it turns out it would have been way overkill with the 18-35 + EFM2. Now using Yongnuo 360 at 30% when at F1.2, which is roughly 5 watts 😂.
@@BpassionalTv MKH-416, mixpre-3. In this video, I was using the mkh-416, zoom h6 and mackie profx8v2 mixer, but i much prefer my newer audio setup. I also process all of my audio in adobe audition, and created a preset for anyone wanting to process audio the way I do: sellfy.com/tommy-callaway/p/tommys-adobe-audition-presets/

0:00 That mic game though
Great review Tommy. When you started building up to whipping our your color meter I felt like it was the big plot twist reveal in a movie.
I love that thing.
Great info!! I’ve always wondered about quality of Viltrox light kits because they’re so affordable. Thank you for the review!
No problem!

Thank you. I’m glad I was able to help :)
What’s your budget, and are you looking for an led panel specifically? Or does another Bowen’s style fixture work?
I bought such kit, but I have on warm light of 3300 some diodes are ablaze slightly dimmer rest. Is it faulty?
can we use a softbox to soften the light more?

Which lights are the best buy to get rolling - VILTROX VL-162T CRI95+, YONGNUO YN 300 II or NEEWER's Bi Color 660 LED Video Lights???

I need one of those light testers, haha

Yeah 1.2 is pretty fast. I started filming at 1.8 not too long ago simply because I kept missing focus lol
@@TommyCallaway Haha I know what you mean lol
Now I'm really curious to know how much the color temperature is off when set at 3300K and 4400K, do you still have them, could you measure it??
Will do soon and let you know
How does it compare to the VL-200T?
The most entertaining thing I've seen today is that light stand bounce lol
Thanks for the review. I'm going to pick this up!
My god your sound is amazing
Thank you! :)
@@TommyCallaway what do you use for audio

So It wont be real 5600 kelvin even if you crank it up to a much colder temperature? Thats some very odd and annoying issue...
am I tripping or is his audio slight out of sync?
My friend literally just bought that lol
Nice - it’s one of their newer products. It’s okay for the price
