I am looking for the large and powerful ones that are battery-operated for work on my car in the low light and for my large public storage cell, which has no electricity in there. Those lanterns are supposed to be battery-operated and magnetic, which is a must, so I could stick it to any magnet-friendly surface. So this YONGNUO you mentioned seems to be a good candidate.

Awesome Video Armando. I have a couple Quasar 4' 5600k Lights that I use for accents, fill and other things. I'm in dire need of some smaller battery powered setups to add to my shoots. How long of battery life did you experience with the Aputure AL-M9?
What about the Viltrox with that sony battery?
Just wondering if at full power I'd be able to get 1-2 hours out of these units?
I really hope that Quasar doesn't discontinue the lights anytime soon. They are a great alternative to Kino's and easy to rig with either some gaffer tape or a cardelinni clamp.

Good review on a variety of affordable options. The Quasar tubes are really nice, high quality light. Their bi-color tubes are expensive ($275 for 4' version), but a popular choice. I'm hoping an equivalent knock-off comes to market soon. The new Aputure MX is more expensive ($150) than the M9, but has somewhat greater light output.

Hey great video! I have the Yongnuo. In fact, I have two of them. I have to be honest I haven't used either of them in years. I had both connected to my phone and both were still working through the phone app when I turned them on today (batteries stay charged forever) but then I messed around with them and now only one works though my phone app (iPhone). It's really weird because when the screen on one goes out, if I turn the knob or press the button, the screen on both lights turn on. So I know in some way they are both still connected. I just can only control one with my phone. Any ideas on how to get the other one to connect to my phone again? Update: I now see both are connected but on separate channels. One is on 1 and the other is on 6. Any idea how to get them grouped again?
