I bought that YN360 a while ago and love it. I didnt set up the BT controls since the access the app was requesting seemed a bit excessive. Did you have any concerns about the access?
It does, I should have mentioned that. I always use it with light stand. You can actually see it here in this video BTS: ruclips.net/video/VViUUjVuiUE/видео.html
Excellent video! Not only are you a great presenter, but you covered a much wider array of lighting choices, many of which I didn't even know existed. Thanks for inspiring the aspiring filmmaker in me!
hello. I have two of them and when I turn on, both start in the same color, if I change RGB in one, the other one change too, there's some problem on sync. I dont know how to solve it. Did you have any problem?
How filmmaking is changing over a year is amazing. FIlm equipment has become like painting canvas and brush. Anyone with lots of interest and little money can make a great painting (almost ). End of the day it will all come to storytelling.we have everything equipment/resource /exhibition ...just need stories
I am looking for the large and powerful ones that are battery-operated for work on my car in the low light and for my large public storage cell, which has no electricity in there. Those lanterns are supposed to be battery-operated and magnetic, which is a must, so I could stick it to any magnet-friendly surface. So this YONGNUO you mentioned seems to be a good candidate.
Great! Also, I just found those garden lights washers... 25 bucks each, RGB *and* daylight balanced, 100+ colors (!!!), comes with a remote controller (dude), unkillable battery (meant to be put in a garden and left there basically), IP-66 waterproof (talking to your outdoorsy people!) :O What's not to like??? They're very bright, can be easily hang of off things are they meant to... 25 bucks... if those are flicker-free...!!!
good reviews ...focusing on the cost adaptability and functionality ....liked the little pocket lights...These tube lights are a thing for djs and photograhers but some companies are really overcharging like thousands for these which is stupid ....If you dont mind plugging in i got some equinox spectra pix battons for a few hundred that are actually better looking ...
That's because this whole video was based around the aperture light. Biassed content. These lights have been so obviously passed around all the youtubers
Awesome Video Armando. I have a couple Quasar 4' 5600k Lights that I use for accents, fill and other things. I'm in dire need of some smaller battery powered setups to add to my shoots. How long of battery life did you experience with the Aputure AL-M9? What about the Viltrox with that sony battery? Just wondering if at full power I'd be able to get 1-2 hours out of these units? I really hope that Quasar doesn't discontinue the lights anytime soon. They are a great alternative to Kino's and easy to rig with either some gaffer tape or a cardelinni clamp.
Kino Flo are awesome in terms of quality but require a ballast and are not dimmable. Which means for a similar bank setup of say 4 you'll be paying 5x more.
Good review on a variety of affordable options. The Quasar tubes are really nice, high quality light. Their bi-color tubes are expensive ($275 for 4' version), but a popular choice. I'm hoping an equivalent knock-off comes to market soon. The new Aputure MX is more expensive ($150) than the M9, but has somewhat greater light output.
Hey great video! I have the Yongnuo. In fact, I have two of them. I have to be honest I haven't used either of them in years. I had both connected to my phone and both were still working through the phone app when I turned them on today (batteries stay charged forever) but then I messed around with them and now only one works though my phone app (iPhone). It's really weird because when the screen on one goes out, if I turn the knob or press the button, the screen on both lights turn on. So I know in some way they are both still connected. I just can only control one with my phone. Any ideas on how to get the other one to connect to my phone again? Update: I now see both are connected but on separate channels. One is on 1 and the other is on 6. Any idea how to get them grouped again?
hi friend... I loved that big stick of led, led, right? lol I will try to buy it another question... that blue light behind near ur computer, how u did that? it gives a nice envrioment... really cool. thanks a lot
Hey Armando, your Quasar link in your description is dead. Just letting you know so you don't miss out on more monetization form from your affiliate link. Great video buddy!
Omg your amazing? Any recommendations for best light set up for beauty videos? Using Sony A6400 whether led or softbox? Also what lens work best with Sony a6400 for beauty also and blurred background. Thank you
Could anyone please help me? I bought two *t15 Quaser science lights and I think I burnt them(2 of them) I live in the UK so the plugs 🔌 are different. I used adapter but the lights worked for like two secs and I think they got burnt! Anyone can help please??*
Thanks for the reply Armando. Unfortunately the LED's I have only have the prongs. I've looked on Amazon and Google for that adaptor but haven't been able to find anything.
Great video Armando - was checking the Viltro LED light - and it seems currently for $44 or so - just making sure that its the correct one. Also is there a way to use a umbrella as a diffuser for this or the Apurture (does that come with a bracket?)
What lens are you using? it looks like you are in a rectangle shaped living room. When I try to use the a 50mm in my living room, I don't have the room to frame a shot worth anything.
looking for a white light bar to position very close to and illuminate a green screen. would Quasar Science LED Light Bar be able to accomplish this do you think. or maybe you might know of another product for this application. thanks
2 Years Late to the party... I don't want to buy a green screen kit. Can I use LED/RGB lights to light up a white wall and with the lights turn it green for chroma keying? Thanks for the response.
Wow I just LOVED this video, it's just what I was looking for! I need a source of light at sunset time for my senior sessions... I will also use the light with fairy strings :) I was sold on the YONGNUO but I also like the VILTROX you introduced today. So, my question is: which one you would recommend for sunset time to light model's upper body with nice soft light? YONGNUO or VILTROX?
Hi! Thank you so much for share these information of gears. I pressed the link of the Viltrox one and the price is 130CAD. Is it one you said that is 35$?
Hey Armando great Video! I actually watched it a few months ago, but I'm now planning to buy the Youngnouo N360 Light. Question: Do you know if the Sony np f 970 batteries work with it? (because I already have two of them) Many thanks in advance :)
Technically you could use it as a keylight but the bigger the light source with diffusion the better. What makes this great for lighting people is the giant soft box with double diffusion, that makes a massive difference in getting soft skin tones
Your digital sensor will love this...? Sensors are actually analogic, the digital part comes in in the actual processing of the information that is outputted from the sensor!
is there one you recommend for a hair light? I just bought an led panel but i was thinking i need to decide which of them to use for the bg and which for a hair light
Which one was your favorite light?
I bought that YN360 a while ago and love it. I didnt set up the BT controls since the access the app was requesting seemed a bit excessive. Did you have any concerns about the access?
I use it on my iPhone so it doesn't request anything.
That Aputure is amazing, I hate packing heavy and love small lights
Armando Ferreira the fluorescent tube looking one, would fit just right. Thanks for showing.
Whats the name of the adapter for the LED tube I can find it online and I have a bunch of LED tube lights sitting around my house.
My hands are rubbing together as I’m watching this, sooo many ideas brewing. Amazing video man.
Does the Yongnuo have any mounting points? Quarter 20?
It does, I should have mentioned that. I always use it with light stand. You can actually see it here in this video BTS: ruclips.net/video/VViUUjVuiUE/видео.html
YCImaging lmaooo. Picturing you looking like a mischievous villain

Hello t’challa
Excellent video! Not only are you a great presenter, but you covered a much wider array of lighting choices, many of which I didn't even know existed. Thanks for inspiring the aspiring filmmaker in me!
Jeff McCaskill thanks for watching!
Excellent vid covering lots of portable lighting options.
BONUS: wonderful "reveal" @7:47 showing just how versatile these lights are.
I want them all!
40 seconds in and we already have specific recommendations. That's the way to make a video. Subscribed.
I have a few of those Yongnuos. Can confirm, they're great.
hello. I have two of them and when I turn on, both start in the same color, if I change RGB in one, the other one change too, there's some problem on sync. I dont know how to solve it. Did you have any problem?
Lighting is something that goes EXTREMELY unnoticed in film that many people don’t talk about. Great video.
You must be nice to work with, your kindness is off the charts.

Thanks. Some nice options there. Any chance you could do one with cheap lights on a budget thats are multi coloured.
That quasar light bar is exactly what I need because I need more lights in the studio to shoot slow mo!
Thanks man!!!
yeah but it suddenly disappeared from Amazon... where to buyy in Europeeee
Great! It would be cool if you did a softbox video. Maybe going through the different shape, sizes, pricepoints?

Some people aren’t happy unless they spend thousands.
great vid, thanks.
yongnuo is a great light and I also use the apature and mcoplus mini lights. its amazing how good these cheap lights are
really like the information you are sharing. What do you do to make your skin tone looks so good? Light, post ? Thanks
great enthusiasm and delivery... found the aputure and the yongnuo for under $50 on ebay
I love the Aputure AL-M9 Amaran LED. It's so awesome.
Dude the lightning is dope. I love your style
that second light will save lives
Would you recommend these for lighting a green screen when you don't have a lot of room?
In the first light you showed, how do you mount it? I would like to see a video different ways to mount on a light stand or boom
The YN360 is a fabulous light... I keep finding new uses for it. Nice vid; thanks for it!
This was very helpful for a person like myself who’s just starting making content! Liked and subbed 🙏
I recommend you get the dimmer switch....... so you can dim it down, wow genius!....Do they do a dummer switch?
Do you speak spanish? I already see myself making a frugal little kit with these products. Awesome!
This is GOLD! THANK GOD TO BE ONE OF UR ADDICTED FOLLOWERS! :D
Great as always!
Appreciate that, thanks for watching.
Does the YONGNUO flicker in video? Thinking about getting it!
It's not flickering in his video, so I take that as a good sign :)
@@landolakes cheers thank you!
Amazingly useful. And I love how much joy you get out of these!
That's because this whole video was based around the aperture light. Biassed content. These lights have been so obviously passed around all the youtubers
Hi Mate! I was wondering, what light are you using for your key light?? It looks great! Love the lights you've used in the background- very nice.
Just bought all of them... 😅✌️ Keep it up

dope video Armando! My mind blew when you said there was no light in that lamp!

Been saving up to buy some new lights and I just bought 4 of those lights. Great video!
Awesome lights and sweet grade! Loving the blue halo in the background.
It helped me so much! Congrats and thank you!
Hey thanks for stopping by 😎
Those Quasar lights are amazing and super inexpensive. Have you tried the Kino Flo setup? They're great!
Kino Flo are awesome in terms of quality but require a ballast and are not dimmable. Which means for a similar bank setup of say 4 you'll be paying 5x more.
Oh, sorry, I mean the Quasar Kino Flo mod. You use the Quasar lights instead. Super cheap, same great Quasar lights :)
This Is Tech Today oh yeah, it's awesome! I'm sure Kino Flo doesn't like that lol!
Awesome video! What key light did you use in this video?
Thanks for this video! I think I have two favorites. Aputure AL-M9 Amaran LED Mini Light and YONGNUO YN360

Thanks for this, I just ordered the YONGUNO YN360..from B&H, should be here tomorrow.👍
Love the fairy lights and the viltrox. There should be more lights this size that can use a USB power bank.

Awesome review ! First time watching your videos and I like your energy. (Forest Gump voice) I think I’ll sub, now.
Hey Armando! Let me tell you something. You're so so good at lighting. Great video brother, love it :)
Farhal Ali thanks man I appreciate that, still learning and experimenting with every video.

Were you able to get the Quasar lights?
Excellent video, will be buying a few of these items off your links!
sick review Armando! :) I think i buy the yongnuo for my next project.
Which one can be used as a portable key light for when you are out in the field and need to do a talking head video? Thank you.
Exactly what I needed! Great video!!!
Which one of these would you recommend as a key light???
El Matito quasar with some soft diffusion
No longer available, any other recommendations?
Great video! I have a couple of Neewer Photo Studio 176 LED lights. I wouldn’t mind picking up one of those Aperture lights though!
