I am enjoying the consistency in your upload lately, I have been watching you for years, and have learned so much from you, especially for shooting music videos. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this artistic perspective on using tube lights in different ways! A lot of creatives use Nanlite's Pavotubes in their frame and we love to emphasize how much more you can do with them. There are no limits for versatile lighting tools combined with an artist's creativity. Our Nanlite USA team LOVES your content. We're honored to have someone with your talent use our fixtures to help portray your vision 🙏
I got over putting them into every shot in my music videos real quick...But using them to light your subjects is the best! They are so lightweight and portable. You can really mount them anywhere! Great video!
I use to own a set of 8 Astera Ax1 Pixel Tubes, in the beginning we used them in literally every shot/video. Now we started doing motivated lighting, key, accent, hair, etc. We use them now to just splash color to create interest in the shot. Your video definitely hit the mark, very accurate!
I love Quasar’s and Nanlites man. My favorite thing to do with them is wrap them in unbleached muslin to keylight my subjects faces. I’ve been enjoying the look it gives.
I completely agree man, using tubes so much forced me to explore better lighting options for my music videos, helped step my game up a lot. Since you mentioned light mats, I got a FalconEyes RX-18TD, it has been a GAME CHANGER man! It's the easiest overhead lighting setup ever!
I remember when you were under 10k subs... Feels good to be a part of this, keep killing it YC. You're the reason I started shooting videos seriously! Thank you for that.
The Astera tubes are my favorites. It's difficult to explain, but they're just very pleasurable to look at, in every color. A DP I was working with turned me on and I started with tubes in the background too... I use them around the house sometimes, it's very relaxing for the brain. Great video, thanks!
I just watch Jacque Crafford on cinematic lighting. He was using Pavo tube as a key light for his a7iv launch films. Godox just release their tl120. I probably pick them during Black Friday.
This was an amazing content and I absolutely liked that fact that you concentrated on the way you would use a light source as opposed to which brand is a better one. Thank you for doing this and you've earned a sub.
i have the pavo 30c's.. just knowing that lighting something is NOT a problem is the best part. ive stuck these in cars, elevators, closets.. simple, lightweight and just to move around with.
Just ordered my first nanlite pavotube - a small 10" one with a table stand for under $100 - so I could practice using it for product shot accent lighting. We'll see where we go from there, but your video highlighted some great, practical use cases for additional (and larger) tubes down the road. Nice video. Cool seeing the evolution of your work.
Hey, mate. I watched this video to the very, VERY end. REALLY useful. I've already been working with several Yongnuo wand lights for years but you really got me thinking about the next step. I've started upgrading my lighting setup to "big boy" rigs, but there's such a trade-off with a much larger footprint. Tubes and mat's... small, lightweight, portable... I just need to figure out the best way to add honeycomb light shaping tools to them both and we're away... HEY video idea! Light controlling ideas with light tubes! Go for it, mate... next video :-)
Great video man! Awesome use case examples any suggestions of how many and which sized you should start off with (for RUclips and client work with gyms)?
I’d so go as big and as many as you can afford, even if you get 1 you’ll love it I’m sure! I have 4 and I think I have enough of them personally, anything beyond that is for some real stylized high budget looks.
Always supplying great content thanks bro, been following you since I started my videography journey last year! Also, is that video finished yet? I’d love to see the final piece!
I just got the luxeco p120 few days ago... Glad I'm seeing this now even though it's probably not as good as the ones you listed, but atleast I know I'm on the right track🤣🙌🏾😌
I don’t know if it’s just me. For some reason those pavos always flicker in footage. If you look at the corner shot with the plants on the left you can see the flicker. Used them for a short film and they were flickering also in 24 fps and 30 fps.
Great content bro...I've been wanting these tube lights for a while. I think I am going to go with the the Godox brand. I like the hexagon shape that makes them easy for surfaces. Any suggestions on which brand to buy? I also like the Godox because I can use the 30's and put them in my backpack as I travel and have enough light to fill a room or small scene. - Simba Sims
What’s your favorite light?
The new Aputure Amaran 60x and 60d as well as Godox TL60 Tube lights. Ultimate portability!
my favorite light is the sun... a little biased on it tho... lol

@@GuessWhoProductions Yes yes, they are! you can get the 4 foot version if possible

It’s crazy that I wasn’t the only person who did this haha.
On another note, proud of you bro. Thank you for leading the way and creating a path for us to follow and make our own path

Loving the unique perspective you've been bringing! Also, that C-stand you're using in your B-Roll looks heavy AF!
Man this is really great, yes. I will get one for sure
Thank you for being you Brody! You’ve taught me a lot and when I meet I’ll be sure to let you know 💯💪🏽

Thanks for this video. Definitely appreciate this knowledge.
Big fan, I recently was given a 12 inch RGB with some built in FX and its an absolute game changer. So many use cases!
You still sending that ? - I felt that
Yup... you just sold me on getting some of these
God damn it! You just made me spend $600! For real though, if you endorse it, I'm paying attention to it because I love what you do man.
Haha. Well you won’t be disappointed, I have no doubt you’ll get use out of them.

Nice job bro I love it
Those new Quasar double rainbows are looking real sexy !!! Debating if they can replace a key light1x1 fixture I was eyeing.
Just bought 4 nanlite T8-7x’s, 4 foot RGB tubes with app control that are 0.6 lb and was only $311 for a 4 tube kit!
The Gaffers tape don't leave residue on the Pavotubes??
I picked up a LUXCEO P120 very recently. Haven't taken it on set yet, but I'm a little underwhelmed with how much light it gives off.
yea I had a chances to see tho lights in action when I did BTS for Joyner Lucas, they are dope.
Can you ladies recommend any of these types of pipes on a budget?
Where can I find the video @8:35
Have you ever used a green screen to make your room look bigger? Like the ceiling? And does it look realistic?
Hate where they put the usbc charging port. Cant charge while using on stands. Major flaw.
Got a set of sutefoto rgb tube lights. $129.00 a pop and They are game changers
Love your videos!! There’s so informational. Question, do you use a light meter in your MV?
I have two of the little 10 inch winds
What's the diference between T8 an 30C? Sorry, I definitely don't know anything about nanlite.
