This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel 10 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,853 subs and > 2k hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my RUclips channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a RUclipsr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. @@isaacdavis987 Thank you! I had so many fears even before I started and I still have fears. I am still an introvert but what I really focus on is the value of the content and what I’m truly passionate about while helping others! I'm glad that I'm foolish enough to believe that I can actually start making money through my passions. I've never thought that I'd able to gain 1K subs faster. I can't imagine how many opportunities could have been wasted if I didn't have courage to go after them. That includes having this channel, being in a management role, having the people who actually care about me for who I am, freelance gigs, being an ambassador in a creative community and now I'm also planning on honing my public speaking skills through joining a toastmaster club and these all happened this year. It started with writing them all down on a piece of paper. A paper that serves as a reminder for me to go after what I want even through hard times. I'm not bragging about my accomplishments but simply hoping that this message can also inspire others to believe in themselves.

I make music and what I liked about this was you can show what you want something to look like. With music it’s sometimes hard to convey with words how you want something to sound. Very well made and edited video. 10/10😊

You knocked me over with a feather when you said...
"... being able to see a scene cinematic-ally...
... without you in it... and then
    Just insert yourself."
YOU have no idea what that means to me at this very minute.
    There is an old saying:
    "When the Student is ready...
    ... The Teacher will appear.
And today kind Sir... YOU are my Teacher!!!
and that is so very hard for me to say... since I am a TEACHER...
It is hard to teach an old dog... new tricks.
Tonight.. I am down and out...
I have written a manuscript meant for a Stage Play.... (12 years ago) ... but I was told then to forget the Stage Play and make it into a BOOK first... then a movie.... write a screenplay... by a Film Director.
WOW... what a thought... here I am a Drama Teacher... writing a simple Play for Stage... and a Filming Director just accidentally reads it... and proclaims I should make a movie and forget about making a silly old Play on Stage.
THEN... all of a sudden my life STOPS... I have to go back home to take of Mama... for 10 years.
Mama dies (I am heartbroken)... and I find myself 10 years older... my birthday is Nov. 26th... I'll be 70 years old.
How can I start over now? I had put my life on hold... but not my dreams.
But now... I have to... I have to go back to work... not enough Social Security to live on ...
I still have that dream to finish writing the manuscript... make a Screenplay...
I am an Acting Director... I have had an Acting School/Studio before... Why not do that again... Why not ... I cry.
    Because I'm scared of failing.
People have a Bad Habit of LOOKING at anyone over 60 years old, thinking they can't do anything because they're a "Senior Citizen"
I scoff ... EXCUSE ME... Have YOU met me?
70 is the new 50... I have not been to a Doctor for 30 years... "Move out of my way"
... but deep down... I wonder... am I too old to write the screenplay? I know I can do it... but should I?
So I sit here feeling sorry for myself... drinking a glass of wine... contemplating my next move...
I'm not scared of failing... Good Lord of Mercy... I have done that a dozen times...
I'm scared of Succeeding... "What IF?"
I know my Story is good... I have had a Film Director say it's good..
I just don't know if I trust myself... I have been gone so long? Have I been out of touch with the world since I have been taking care of Mama?
How do I start over again.?
    Then... I watch YOUR video...
And you Kind Sir... are my Angel... My Teacher.
Thank you so much for making this GREAT video.
    God Bless You...
YOU have awaken something inside of me that has been gone for so long.
    "BRAVO Darling... Bravo"
    EXCELLENT VIDEO

    W'S All 2024!
Easily one of the BEST pages I found for filming Hands-down. From the filming, visuals, attention to details, and as you said the philosophy of bringing it all to life, first in vision/in your mind, and then creatively in practice. Having some sort of creative process/visual foundation and philosophy GOING into things really helps. At this point I can't remember the initial video I seen from you but have been drawn in ever since to the particulars of film! It may have been the "Why Your Videos DON'T Look Like Films..." TL;DR.
I really feel like one can see the process of envisioning everything then going out there to execute it and all else editing it down to a finalized product when it's broken down as you did/do. Making sure to get as much shots as needed not shying away from having a bit more footage than you know you may need for sure helps; obviously within reason. I was loving the spur of the moment ideas too such as at 13:30 with the back of the car shot making with it what you could get even if not the exact desired shot. Some things just come to mind then and there and make for some dope shots. I do nothing at all even this extensive or detailed but do appreciate just how much goes into everything as I get more into filming with more of a thought process. It's easy to sit back and watch something and then to actually think about how every single shot seen, even the split second ones that come and go are often intentional vs just some point and shoot process. Obviously for filming such pieces that is noticeable, but even now for the action sports filming I watch I can see the mix of vague point and shooting vs drawn out attention and forethought to filming it in a particular way that may look random and or not as specific, but actually is...I'm YAPPING too much now, but I can't even imagine the editing down of all these clips, even with a solid workflow and familiarity with a program, end of day that editing process is some realllll work with something this detailed lmao. This is all more obvious but I'm yapping from a absolutely clueless perspective to the point I had no idea what color grading was and so many other things people do and just found out about SLOG 3 and, holy carpal tunnel! It's like I'm zoomed in seeing a handful of things and the more and more I learn the more I start to zoom out slowly and see more and more and more just how much work goes into EVERY aspect of film/photography, all the intricate details from again filming to editing. I see the cluster F* of work that makes me appreciate things a lot more. It's the difference between taking a S* that takes a few minutes and then understanding the actual process of every system in the body that allows for such. (Or doesn't, fiber up folks, that's how I have this much time to schizo type all this 🤠)
Again informative, instructive, solid tips/tricks, as well as diving into what you mention vs just saying it with no explanation and not yapping on and on like I did 🫠

I had to take a break, almost fresh out of college, to care for my parents. Now, I owe to myself (and they are now pushing me) to utilize the talents I have.

Bro. Out of all the resources I have EXHAUSTED to find your video is crazy. I had to weed out all the color grade videos to find a CINEMATIC VIDEO that is compatible for dark skin. Lighting is super important for dark skin. I always find myself washed out or gray casted. I’m gonna try some of your tips and tricks

Sooo I started listening but needed to take a shower, so kept it playing. You have The Best Voice! It’s soo calming. Then, I watched it in its entirety and didn’t speed it up (usually watch’s vids in 1.25 or 1.5), nope, not yours!
Thank you for the knowledge, and the meditative/relaxed vibes and quality!! xx
Just hoping for the courage to finally Start! Been waiting since 2009 😩🤭

    Hey bro,
I want to start off this message with a big thank you for all the content and motivation you have given me through your content.
I heard you say that you were from a small town, as am I.
I never thought I could or would ever be able to create content similar to yours, or even wanted to.
I came across a commercial a long time ago regarding a film school in AZ... so I called, not thinking that anything would come out of that call, however the recruiter I spoke with would not stop calling me after I made that call... lol, I'm glad she didn't. I ended up coming out to Tempe AZ to attend the school...Turned out to be a good decision. As I began to learn the craft of photography and video on a professional level, I began to grow this natural affection for this art form. I learned a lot from different software to use and equipment type.
I graduate and start working independently. I began working with a music producer who was producing music for an artist in Philadelphia, and then my camera bag which had my Mac inside it was stolen. So I was able to submit a claim through my insurance company and with the help of a close friend of mine, I was able to get another computer and a Nikon D3500....lol...this was a while ago now, but I was happy to have those items.
However, I had to take some time away from filming because I wasn't able to update and purchase more equipment that I needed at the time, and because I live on my own I was forced to continue working a 9to5 and at some point just kinda put my camera down and became unmotivated to shoot or just be creative.
As I was in this time of just working a 9to5 job I remember I asked my dad to invest in me, and if he would purchase some much needed equipment for me, but he declined at that time....that's ok.
He passed away in late 2021.
So now in regards to inheritance, Ive been able to get a couple things now. I have a new computer now, and just purchased a Sony A7SIII with the Suri 24mm 2.8, and it's been a minute since I last filmed anything, I'm afraid I'm starting all over again. This video here is a motivation for me to slowly get back into it by just filming myself to start with.
I know you might be moving on from doing music videos, however I would love to shoot music videos...I love music and being creative around a music element.
I would really really appreciate any recommendations you may have that you perhaps could point in the direction of. Real estate is pretty big here in Phoenix, and I am looking to start my own business targeting real estate for photo and video work, along with my own personal project.
Any recommendations you may have would be greatly appreciated.
I hope you reach out because I could really use your insight.
    Thank you.
