Been looking for this for a while, I had found everything but the idea that I could just swap colored tube guards over the lights. Smart
Thanks for watching!
Thank you. I was scared of being generic ones that looked very cheap. Now I can assemble my own. Purple all the way
This was a goldmine of information. Much appreciated!
Thanks for watching!
And for free ! He is our savior
Thank you. Appreciate the walk through on where to source and buy the supplies.
Definitely getting a set of these. And color guards as well. Currently filming green screen work and have a slight green cast on my arm, I will use these to combat that as I can’t dim the lights I have for lighting the green screen. ( and I’ll use the extras for my workshop) thanks for posting.
Dude …i love u man 🤜🏾🤛🏾 thanks for sharing this !

Awesome video. I just added these to my Amazon cart! Wish there was more people like you. Not only did you tell us about the lights. You showed us where we can buy them. And how to gel them. Hope you find a lot of success here on youtube.
Glad I could help!
Whats your résumé one year later? Did they meet your expectations?
@@MartinBergnerGuitar well actually, I ended buying a more expensive light set up because I wasn’t sure if these lights alone would’ve been sufficient. And I didn’t want to buy a lot of lights. Lol. What I bought worked well enough and got the job done. So I don’t know anything about these lights except for what’s in this video. So, sorrry I couldn’t help.
this is great thanks man!
Thank you for watching!
You are the goat . . Very creative . . Keep elevating . . Imma send you sum videos when I get them

Good job man
Awesome tips!

I put a led strip in a frosted single fluorescent housing and it works great. Compact, bright, and app control in a rugged housing.
Love it!
Hey man could you show me how you did this ?
Show us the way
Wow I just purchased a 6pack a year ago for the kitchen lol..I still have 4 left so now I found a usage for them hehe
lol perfect! love them in my garage
Thank You so much
NEED THIS FOR MY NEXT VIDEO
Thank you very much 👌👌👌
This video made me subscribe.
I plan on doing this with pixel tape and have 4 pin xlr connectors and an artnet to spi encoder. I like what you did with them. Cheers!
Thank you 😀
Yee!
Thanks alot 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
You’re welcome 😊
Incredible video
Thanks for watching!
I would love to see if there is a module to add light effects such as TV, paparazzi, etc, also maybe a dimmer. 10-12 colored tube lights is just epic to have on hand. Great video🤘🏼
search instead for LED Shop Light Dimmable
Thanks for these tips! Can we add a dimmer to the tubes light?
Dope!! thank you! Could you recommend any stands that might work for them? I am a DJ looking at tube lights
Thank u so much
Most welcome 😊
That’s really helpful . I am looking for some lights for a one off shoot. Can you dim these or do they flicker ?
You'd be surprised at how well the non frosted versions work in a 60ftx 200ft Barn. I used 10 fixtures hung from the joists. I'm currently editing and getting the content together for that video.
Looking forward to seeing it!
@@TylerCaseyProdYou'd think finding time to edit all my content would be easier with the way the world is right now. But the jobs that pay bills are getting piled up. Lol
Where's the video?
@Frosty Plays I'll have it up on my channel this week.
@@TejasAutoSalonJasonW cool
I just bought the Alternative Tyler recommended in the description on 12/15/2020. (THEY WERE AVAILABLE) 👍
Glad to hear!
What did he recommend?
Thumbnail: Tom cruise.
Actual video: Tom auto-pilot.
Lol I will take it as a compliment
in the thumbnail he looks like techsource
@@TylerCaseyProd it is
Omfg thank u so much
In 2021 Anamorphic lenses are cheaper then led tube lights. . .
Bodes well for the rest of 2021 IMHO LOLZ
even a ticket to the moon is cheaper bruh
Lol so true
Just got back from Mars for 10 bucks, a bit too dry but cool
@@ClaudioDesideriFilms i was there you nailed the Martian halfpipe
Huh! Never thought before that my kitchen cabinet lights would get so handy one day ☝️
Right?!
LEGEND
the walkways idea is TUFFFFFFF
yes! So easy to do too
These are awesome. Thank you for sharing. I'm probably asking too much, but are there dimmable versions of this budget type so that I can dial in my exposure a little better
Just attach a damn dimmer from home depot
@@93FilmsandMedia that's pretty damning
This was a good video
thanks!
Hi
Have you found a way to dim these without the light flickers? 😊
Nice lightsabers you have right there!
May the force be with you
do you have the double led row version (sometimes referred as v shape). there are models out there with only one row of led chips. the double row versions has a higher light output and power draw. i´m curious which one youre showing in this video. thanks buddy!
Can you get those tube lamps with single color LED's in them? Also, are they direct AC or do they use a DC adapter or constant current driver?
Question! can you make this pulse or have some sort of light pattern? Can they be dimmed?
Nice intro!
awesome
Great!! Thank you. Hope i can find the products here in italy....
I hope so too!
io ho trovato solo i led per ora, le "light guard"sono praticamente introvabili o costano un occhio, se vuoi ti mando il lnk che ho trovato su Amazon per un kit di 4 da 120cm
In Germany we just say: Neon-Röhre and we have them in litterally every garage 😂
And i think its beautiful 😂
So ist es, und man bekommt die für 3€ pro stück!
Sounds way cooler, I think the LED versions just got popular in garages in the last 5 years
Danke!
I’d love to see you create a portable version, I love this idea it’s so affordable just very limited to where I can shoot with this idea
They don’t take much power so a small battery or generator would work just fine
@@TylerCaseyProd can you plug in walls at home lol
Alright this is a great setup! I can’t stop thinking if there is a way to use a D-Tap cable to connect to a V-Mount battery so you aren’t limited to a certain area. Or even use this in a place like a forested area away from wall mounts
hmmmmmm
a jackery maybe
I was wondering if this was possible as well
What did you make as a frame to stand those up next to each other? There are 4 orange tubes looks like maybe a wooden frame they are attached to...
Hi Tyler thanks a lot for the info really appreciate it. One question are you sure the color sleeves you are recommending fit the T5 type bulbs? The Amazon website/vendor says that for the color sleeves a re-stocking fee will be made if the item is returned. The KastLite Store vendor note says: "PLEASE NOTE: These fit T8 Lamps with a 1-1/4” Diameter only". So do they fit the T5 lamp or not?
T stands for "tube" and the following number just is the diameter in 8ths of an inch.
Because we're cutting and wrapping the gels around the bulbs, T8 is larger than T5, so it will naturally wrap around easier.
T8, being larger may be too large for other applications, and not fit, but for this project, If your lights are T5, (The linked lights are T5) then T5, T8, or even T12 will work fine.
do you have to wire the connector or power cables or can you buy em pre-built
Hey Tyler,
how many watt should be the minimum in your opinion?
Can you make another video explaining the stands
And how you adjust the tubes standing 90 degrees to the ground
Thanks Thanks Thanks this was great did you use these in Surgeries Video
Hey there! No we did not we used Asteras in that one
Is there anything to look out for in the product specs to make sure they don't flicker? I found some alternatives on ebay but I've had issues with flickering lights in the past
Same question.
Tyler, what is the wattage? I only seem to find 18watts. Are those the ones you are using? Please. I’d like to know before I order.
can I use power bank with Ac Outlet to power it? And so what limits of mah you would recommend?
Im glad I subscribed lol
Aye!
🔥🔥🔥
bro this is a fucking gold mine!!
Crazy idea. would you suggest these for studio photography as well tyler or no? Cause im a photographer for bands and such and want to try and get some good lighting for shoots. would you reccommend me to do this instead of really expensive lighting?
The issue is you wouldn't have a lot of control of how the light spills. Lights/strobes that can take advantage of light modifiers are what you really want for that
How well do they work for photography? I’m wanting to use them in studio shoots with the color guards.
I don’t know but ima sho get me sum
Definitely about to do this. How did you mount or connect them to your C stand?
I just used gaff tape, large clamps can work too
@@TylerCaseyProdThank you for responding!
Seu vídeo é muito top! Pena q os links nenhum estão mas disponíveis!
The led rgb ring and led rgb tubes are excellent for ceiling tube bulbs which they are replacement and I can’t stand these fluorescent which the fluorescent had mercury in them. But you can set the rgb to soft white or warm white or cool white too.
Is there a difference between T8 and T5 LED tubes?
whats the music starts video?
Can u make the lights flicker and change colors nd stuff ?
This is pretty cool. I am going to try this... My only question is does it matter if it's T5 lights and tube? Because that's all that Amazon is showing me right now
T5, T8, T12 are like the diameters. If you go T5, just make sure you get T5 color tube to gel over them.
