Damn bro, killed it with this B-Roll. That's some WORK for a single video, especially for RUclips. Thanks for the effort!!
The energy you put in every video, it's just amazing. I'm amazed every time
What the hell, this is like the best quality gear review iv seen. DO MORE VIDEOS PLEASE!
More definitely on the way 😌
This is the most stylish unboxing I've ever seen! Amazing work keep it up 👏
Thank you! 🙏
I just wish all gear reviews are like this! It’s absolutely amazing to see what you can do with each gear❤
Appreciate it, Tom! 🙇
honestly i have no words for how good this video is
I subscribed purely from this one video. I'm in the market for a 200w light and came across this video. I cannot believe the amount of detail you put into this video!? Sound, camera work, editing, knowledge of product, etc. Awesome work and you might've just sold me on this light!
dude your reviews are insanely good produced.
incredible! this is the only review that i wish to watch more than 3 times.
This is no joke the best product review I’ve ever seen in my life
WHAT IN THE WORLD!!!! This is the best review video I have ever seen- the editing, the sound design, the music, the LIGHTING, everything is top-notch. Thank you for sharing this wonderful review with us
2024 The best gear reviewer awards goes to Herman Huang!
Appreciate it, Finix 🙇
I admire all the production quality and edit finesse you put into your reviews. Rock on!
the sound design is just top notch
Damn at this point its a commercial, not a product review... GVM pay this guy
Such cinematic quality for a review! Congrats on continually pushing your content to the frickin stratosphere!
Appreciate it Tommy! 🙇🙇🙇
Fantastic edits, so clean and inspiring. You using your obvious film/story telling jutsu and mixing it in a review on the unsuspecting will overwhelm the novice lol. I know a Uchiha when I “SEE” one. ABSOLUTELY awesome….
if all unboxings and reviews were like this we'd really be living in the future
the lil tappies during the unboxing
@umbrallis I learned from the best 😌
Man, the cinematography here is amazing! I am not even here for the review, I am just here to learn your lighting and camera transition. Great job!
Brooo effort You are putting in those reviews is clearly stunning 😮 I am buying one combined with two 80Ws 😇
This is the coolest review over ever seen
Came for the light, stayed for the production quality.
This is how you do reviews! Epic! 🔥
bro my mouth just like :O when im seeing your video. terrific quality! keep up the good work bro!!
That light looks so nice
I agree 🔥
I can watch this all day long it's freaking pleasing to watch❤
Hiya Herman! This comment is kinda unrelated but I really love your videos, and the way you shoot all the different scenes in your work :)) Could you maybe give some recommendations for books around videography? Maybe make a video about it? 😉
Hey, appreciate the kind words and support! I don't have book recommendations specifically for videography, but have read books that have helped me in my creative journey overall. Will definitely consider making videos that share what I've learned and applied to my life. 🙌
I feel like I've just watched a short film LOL great job!
i like the 4:3 you do in these
You channel and reviews are amazing!!!
herman you always know what’s up 💡
Bros giving out video filming tips too! Wow 😮
Great job my guy. 🔥
Thanks Dave! 🙇
Bro if there’s anything you’ve taught me about lights it’s that it’s not about the light, it’s how you use it. You could use a finger light and make it look cinematic 😅
If I get sponsored by a finger light company, I'd LOVE to try and make it look cinematic 😂
Great video - a few lighting related questions for you if you dont mind:
1) When you compare the GVM Pro to the Amaran 200X which do you prefer? I know the video is sponsored but surely you can provide your objective view in a comment ;)
2) I notice you also have lights from Nanlight Pavo tube lights...Aputure and GVM now. Would it not be better to have the lights from one manufacturer to be on the same ecosystem with the same app controlling everything? Or are there othere considerations to think about for lighting? Seems like Aputure has lights for every occasion whereas some other companies dont make certain kinds of lights (like LED tube lights or small portable lights like the MX which Aputure makes).
3) Any chance you'd be willing to do a video where you show all the different gear you use for your youtube channel/studio? Would be insightful to know which lights you use for which purpose, same with if there's light stands/tripods, or if you have multiple cameras for different angles, etc.
1. I use the 200x more often. Reason being, I moved into a smaller space this year so my priority is getting the most out of small form-factor gear. I appreciate the ruggedness of the SD200B, but it's not necessary for at-home productions.
2. I would ideally like to keep all my gear in one ecosystem, but sometimes it doesn't make sense to do it due to budget constraints, release time of the gear, or the gear design doesn't make sense for me.
3. I'll consider making a video about the gear I use if more people want to see it. Something along the lines of an office tour, but not sure yet 🤷♂️
Do you watch product reviews ❌I watch herman's videos ✅
You don't even have to say it. Liked and sub'd.
Living in China for the last ten years I've seen tons of cheap filming gear. And yeah theres a lot of really poor quality stuff, but theres also a ton of great stuff if you look hard enough. These lights look ace, Great video maker is an interesting choice of company name though lol
Something about how blunt their name is made me even more skeptical at first, but I haven't been disappointed yet 😆
lol yeah totally get that, I actually just checked on Taobao (the shopping app thats biggest here in China) and the prices are pretty awesome! a 500 watt version for less than i paid for my Aputure 300D ii yes please! 🙂@@HermanHuang
Stunning video! what font did you use for the title cards?
Thank you! I used Eurostile Extended
Hey! Thanks so much for getting back! Is the other font also part of the Eurostile family?
The other font used is called Adina@@AfroSamyt
Thank you so so much! 😅
Wow your editing is top notch sir, may i say. (and meanwile scrolling down i see everyone agrees :) lol) @ 1:25 i recognize that, nope not gonna read the manual.
Ciinematic Review😍
Does this light work with a battery? Must it be plugged into a source at all times?
Needs to be plugged into a source. You could always use portable power stations if you need a portable solution.
I knew this video was gonna be produced really to the max so the light had to be decent lol
I promise to not produce videos about bad gear unless I make it very obvious 😂
I have a problem with my GVM sd200B, the display screen is black , how I can fix that?
I recommend contacting GVM for technical issues
What’s the name of the snoot 4:40
Ohh my gosh ,look honestly I don't watch review videos ever ever ever, cause currently i don't have any fancy lights and gear and all of that ,but when I saw its Herman video my gosh what a sick experience,my lord .ohkay hey Herman tell me what what sfx you used or I'll unsubscribe right now😅
Appreciate the support! All my SFX are from Artlist 🙌
no i know that i have artlist, just tell me the category in which i should find it?
@@HermanHuang
I'm usually just searching things like "whooshes" or "impacts" unless I'm searching for something specific like keyboard typing SFX @@someoneedits
what is the snoot that u are using?
I'm using a snoot from a brand called Wellmaking
@@HermanHuang witch one? do you recommend it? man, i just discover your yt channel and i loved it
@ Appreciate it! I recommend it if you're on a budget. It hasn't failed on me yet, but requires buying a seperate lens in order to use it.
Well I bought a GVM and I had to switch it out because it died 4 months in, then just after the one year mark the replacement then died. SO, yeah Ill never buy one from them or colbor ever again.
Man, I really need a good light source. This is definitely on my list.
On an unrelated note, 3:35 What?! When people are watching TV on shows, they just use a light to simulate a TV? Illusion broken 🥲! I legitimately thought they just threw on some random vid on silence or the actual content they’re watching!
Definitely recommend this light if you need a fairly strong source with low power draw. Wouldn't recommend it for smaller spaces as there are more compact lights suitable for that. So depends on what you plan to use it for!
Yep, lots of "cheating" in filmmaking! That's why they call it "movie magic" 😂
