Great guide and very professionally done. If you keep building on this i can see this channel becoming quite successful. And best of luck with the CSM, you'll get my vote.
Truly amazing video. Clear and concise. It’s almost Impossible to find eve guides outside the 30-45 minute range filled with stuttering and putting opinions over facts.
OZ_eve if you don’t mind a follow up question: i binged your videos available on twitch (the ones covering your net worth from 4.7-6.0 billion) and was wondering if any of your time under 1 billion was going to be uploaded or otherwise made available. I want to see the first few billion made. Thanks again

Some great input for us programmers lol. I now know how I can affectively look at the market in an automated fashion and project/predict... I have an idea, hold my beer.
In my home region I would sometimes buy out my competition and relist to my price. One time I went in with 54 million and bought up one of my competitor's orders, just to return with 90 mil within the next 12 hours. Rival: "Haha, got your ISK!" Me: "Haha, got more of someone else's ISK!"
This really doesn't help a new player trade... How would someone find these high profit items? Should I sit there with my computer looking at items for an hour? 5 hours? Weeks? Months? There are thousands of items on the market. Do you suggest I literally go through them one by one to see which ones are good? This can take a lifetime!
Thank you for the guide, one thing I missed is if one still needs standing when trading out of a player owned station. Also the music is really distracting, it makes it more difficult to listen to what you're saying.
I was told to come here and watch this because someone else did this and I thought it would be easier than mining Veldspar. Unfortunately it seems mining Veldspar is easier for me, since I didn't understand a single word of this past "you need to create a new account". I've read text versions of guides on this topic too, and I didn't understand a word of those either. I have a feeling this is incredibly easy once you do understand it, it's a shame humans can only say words and can't telepathically transfer experiences.
So let me see if I have point 2 of the golden rules right. I go to perimeter and set up my buy orders. I make sure that I have the range set to one jump. And my buy orders will most likely be fulfilled at Jita and I travel there to sell them?
Go to perimeter to "a player owned station to place buy orders?" Like POS anchored next to a moon? Sorry if that is a daft question, I have been away from the game for a while...doubtful alphas would be able to access someone's POS so I am sure I misunderstood that bit instruction.
No worries. It‘s a publicly accessible station called Tranquility Trading Tower. Anyone can see it under the list of structures when you right click in space.
What tools do you actually use to find likely items? I feel that the search space is a bit too lsrge to just click around in the regioal msrlet hoping to find examples. Or is thatnhow you do it?
In game it is virtually impossible to find. I have my own spreadsheet with dashboards and queries, but you can also use the margin finder tool on Adam4eve.eu
Hello, Beginner at trading here - Can alphas modify sell orders remotely? I seem to have trouble finding an alpha skill which allows from that, one system away.. Awesome video, thanks!
@@OZeve I see.. I guess i could jump 1 system to update them but would that basically destroy my margin with relist fees? Since i guess that would be more costly than what it would be if I did it remotely...? Thank you so much for the help!
@@jonathanjonsson3143 You can just have your alpha trader sit in Perimeter and post local buy orders. You can create sell orders in Jita remotely as an alpha. I strongly advise against modifying sell orders anyway because it destroys your margin. Just post realistic sell prices.
@@OZeve Thank you for taking the time to answer! The way you describe is how I do it now (but in Ashab) except I did not really know how to handle sell orders which were sort of pushed down in the list. I will definitely check out your other content and sub! Big thank you again.
Hello, when I buy items, I have them scattered in all the different station where the buy orders have occured. Is it better to sell them in place or go get them all and sell them in a major trade place?
curious with the template. Is there an algorithm I'm supposed to input in order to get the prices for selected items to populate for specific trade hubs? Not sure where to begin with the spreadsheet.
The prices from the other hubs should be loaded automatically, but you need to copy and paste your transactions from JEveAssets into the sheet. After that, copy the item names to the master sheet. I explain it on my Twitch stream regularly, but will also make a youtube guide in the near future.
@@OZeve ill give that a try tomorrow, work becons. Great video btw. It's been a long time since I've found a up to date and well layer out explanation of basic trading.
Really useful vid ty. My only nitpick is the music that just detracts from what you are saying and is only an annoyance. There's just no reason to have it imo. I love music but don't want to hear it when I am trying to concentrate on what you are saying, just lose it.
Sorry, I want to watch this, but the background music makes it unbearable. You clearly have excellent knowledge, please reshare this without the music.

agree. it was hard to focus with the bg music. good video but skip it in future vids!
Yep, not using it anymore

This guide, is still works up to date?
Some of the taxes and fees are outdated, but the approach works. You can ignore Perimeter and just use Jita in many cases. Just compare broker fees.

Yes. Actually you don't have to travel there. Even Alphas can sell remotely.
Very nice guide
@oz_eve its really awesome information but please use some chill or relaxing music background.
Yeah all newer videos have it. 😉 Feedback implemented.

Yes we have an open stream corp for that. Name is: Pecunia Infinita. 0% tax. Anyone can join.

Not all parts. Mainly tax structure and broker fees. Perimeter is really not necessary anymore if your skills are at V.
