Hello! Saw your stream on twitch, figured I'd come here and drop a sub and like. Your voice, overall video editing and quality is amazing. Cheers, man!
I am totally new player, started last week on wednesday, and even though I didnt find this fit on this video but somewhere else, its 100% same and I have been using it on Abyss0 Electrical and Firestorm, its the easiest most chill ISK money available at the start, I tried all types of content as not having much options as a newbie with newbie ships, mining, indust, explo etc, but this Abyss0 run are pretty much 2x more worth it than anything else at the start, done around 20+ runs and never died or was even close to dying, always finished in time no problem:)) really recommend this Coercer Fit:))
This is helpful. I've played on an off for years, last was when alpha cloves were released. Trying to relearn the game. Do you have any suggestions on working one's way up the abyssal tiers?
Unfortunately, no. The extent of my expertise stops right at T0. For higher tiers you may want to check out ThaGDee or Aceface. They provide RUclips-specific Eve Abyss content.
How about the Caldari destroyers ... Which one to use and what to fit on it? Also could the Caldari destroyers be better in any safe way considering dps and shield/armor stuff so i could pilot one into the dead space (if possible)? Great video btw 👍
@@Luskus I never piloted a Corax before but I've recently made a discovery that increased my confidence in this field. I'm always looking to fully understand things before I share, so the discover is great news for me. We'll see!
I've been using this fit as a cornerstone for earning isk. I'd like to progress to Calm building on this skill loadout. Can you recommend the next step and fit for progress?
Quite good guide for starters, but t0 could be cleared almost in any t1 frigate, especially with drones. But again, the most problem for starters is skills. Thanks for helpful video
Thanks for watching! You're right in the grand scheme of things, since many players will be able to clear the Abyss numerous times safely with any T1 ship. I did not recommend such a build because that would guarantee about 1 in 40 new players that try that build would run into the Skybreaker in the first run and die before earning any money, and I would hate for that to happen to a new player. This build sports a 100% survival rate right out of the box with as little SP and ISK as possible. I agree, it could be considered overkill, but I'd rather new players be overprepared than feel cheated and confused.
Got this thing to about 230 dps still alpha with 2.5M sp. Does sites in a bit over 5min, usually 1.5-2.5M each. So the super limit for this is about 20M an hour. I can easily get multiple accounts doing this too.
Two questions, how can you group youre Weapons like in the Video, so you have just one Button for all 8 and i Wonder i you can do this also in a fleet?
Good question! Didn't think to cover that. There's a small button on the right side of the center HUD, left of the turrets. It's a small circle with two adjacent circles inside. Looks kind of like an infinity sign. If you click that, it will group/ungroup your weapons. And yes, it's intended to be run either solo as a cruiser, in a fleet of two as destroyers, or as a fleet of three in frigates. It's just that most players run it solo.
I appreciate your question, Austin! Like with most things EVE, it depends on your skills. In this case your combat skills. I did a fair portion of testing with the Merlin in T0 Electrical when I was making this video and it seemed to clear just fine until I ran into the Skybreaker for the first time. I think 90 dps was barely not enough to clear it, so I recommend 100 dps at least. But clear time wise I almost guarantee Destroyers will be faster, safer and more ISK/hr.
Maybe it is just me but i make the build 1 to 1 today with your equipment.... ( the same ship, weapons etc.) and i can not go in with Coercer because the game says I need at least T1 or T2 Cruiser.... did they just patched it out ?? I would be very happy about an answer. Btw very nice structured Video, I like the way you describe every single aspect of equipment. just by watching this one Video i learned a lot usefull tipps as a beginner.
The 1M skill points referral bonus is only for freshly made accounts. However you can make as many accounts as you have emails, and if you're playing as an Alpha it saves 40 days of training. If you've been playing for only a little bit, it might be worth making the switch. Interestingly, this video was made almost specifically with people who didn't want to remake their account in mind.
can you use this ship also for normal flying around and defend yourself against ganker? I am new since yesterday and you think i should go with this straight when i have the money?
If you'd like to give Abyssal Deadspace a shot and have gotten used to flying the ship, then I say go for it. If you don't have anything valuable, gankers will likely not attack you, as they're looking to blow up ships that are worth much more than their ship. You should be very careful once you're carrying 100M or more on board. That said, if the ganker wants to kill you just to see you blow up, then no. If the ganker is experienced you will need a seriously strong ship to survive a well-planned gank and this one doesn't even come close.
I do wonder if there is a reliable T1 destroyer for doing solo T2 abyss. My thought is that the Algos might be able to pull it off, but I think most would struggle.
Yes, there are, but this video covers the harder ones. The only other one I'd mention is the Striking Vila Damavik, which spawns extremely hard to hit drones. However, you don't need to kill the drones at all and you can just hit the Vila Damavik. That one tripped some viewers up. Good luck, have fun! Also keep in mind that this is Tranquil Abyss. Even Calm is significantly harder.
I just ran my first tranquil with a cruiser easily.. I'm confused as to which classes of ships are supposed to be used for each class of filament. It also had a dropdown of 3 ship classes when I was entering.. Which it didn't explain what that was for.. so I guesses it was for the class of enemies?
Frigates, Destroyers, and Cruisers can all run all Tiers and Types of the Abyss. Frigates can run them with up to 3 ships in a fleet (and uses 3 filaments per run) whereas Destroyers can be in a fleet of up to 2 (and use 2 filaments), and Cruisers can only go solo. EDIT: so yes, you're right. Tiers like Tranquil, Calm, Agitated, etc. will have progressively harder enemies (much, much harder).
Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I is only necessary if you plan on attempting this with bare minimum skills. If you have better damage from skills, you can get away with a different Meta Variant (same weapon type), just be sure to use a laser crystal that allows you to hit things at ~12km. Maybe Xray or Gamma?
I'm considering going back in, I stoped in 2013-2014 15M skill points mainly in core, drone and shield skills(I think I ptsed all the shield skills to 5 because I was often salvaging for way bigger guys and I was looting during the fight and had often aggro, spent fortunes in fitting for those shields), I was farming T3 and some rare T4 bounties(yes some T4 are doable with a shuttle or crazy nonsense braindead things like that) with a minmatar battlecruiser in a very low traffic 0.4 zone but if I recall I had very low turret and spaceship skills as if I recall T2 weapons were way way better. Would I be able to run the T1 version of this with my setup?
I haven't done T1 at all so I can't answer that question with any level of confidence. However, from what I understand T1 is about 3x harder than T0 so keep that in mind. I've seen a T2 module version of this build on someone else's Abyss Tracker entry at some point nicknamed "T2 Abyss" so I'm assuming it's possible to run a variation of this build in T1--I just haven't tried.
The video was excellent and very informative, I built the exact ship and used the correct filament. Within 20 seconds of jumping into the room I was swarmed everything under 10km and eliminated in 2 minutes. Quite disappointed and very hesitant to try again if this is any indication
@@Lindrios So sorry to hear that. I've had one other person explain this situation to me but he never replied. I appreciate you helping me diagnose the issue as the Vila Swarmer room. Could you send me your in game name? I'll send you compensation for the ship you lost.
Was it the Striking Vila Swarmer drones? Sorry to hear you lost your ship. The silver lining is now you learned something! You'll get that money back in no time.
@@expherus I don't remember the type of ship, but overall I don't think it went that bad for my first time doing abyssal deadspace. I can probably complete it next time
First thank you! this is the first video that has made sense to me. I am now running a frigate for abysals Skybreaker Disparu Troop I cannot kill this ship any suggestions??
Frigates require more skill training to reach the damage threshold. This ship works in the meantime while you train your skills for more lucrative options. It totally depends on your damage spread, but for Hybrid Turrets (which deal more than half Kinetic damage), 110 dps or higher will do the trick.
Are you using the exact build with the same exact modules? If you do not use the Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I and replace it with a lesser module, it will have a smaller range.
@@jonathanjohnson2112 no. It is pretty much the same. Try use a cruiser and a destroyer, loot value for every filament are not the same for each ships but the average isk for let's just say 10 filaments are the same. For the cruiser you'll be using 1 filament every jump then 2 for the destroyer, in short, for the destroyer every jump is doubled the isk value (not every time). That is why frigates are usually used when doing t0,t1 and even t2, because every jump gives more isk value than other higher ships.
@@jonathanjohnson2112 by that, loot is still lessen into half if u bring a friend. Having fleet with others are only bineficial if you're doing high tiers that does not meet your skills or you have doubt of doing it successfully by yourself.
Broadly speaking, the recommended way to find a needed item near you is to use the community-run online resource "evemarketer" which you can web search for. There may be one at a fair price in a neighboring region. If not, you can try visiting the Trade Hubs, Amarr (Amarr Faction Trabe Hub) or Jita (Biggest Trade Hub), which you will also see on the resource.
Any reason to not use Dual Anode Light Particle Streams they are significantly cheaper and do more damage. Edit: I also cannot get my ship to the 20 minute drain you get with standard ammunition, even though the Dual Anodes take less power.
I'm a newbie and I don't have much experience in the Abyss, I can't find T0 Firestorm so I'm doing T1 Firestorm. Should I be scared? Or what should I do? Also, I bought the same exact fit and it works great.
Glad you're trying out the build! From what I understand the spawns in T1 are about 3x harder than T0, so please don't expect this video to translate very well into T1. I recommend having very solid character combat skills before attempting!
@@expherus well I died trying. But it is totally fine, atleast I learnt something. And I will keep this build, it is actually pretty good. You should make more EVE Online videos! :)
Is this method safe from players and endlessly repeatable? Haven't played since like 2012, but i've been playing echoes since launch, thinking about getting back into EO with a friend and need some easy content to relearn how to play.
Yes, the moment you can fly the ship into space with all the listed modules, you can survive in Tranquil Firestorm Filament with this fit. EDIT: I may have misunderstood. Yeah, you should be doing this in High-sec. I've never been ganked in a fit this low-cost. It's not worth it for the vast majority of gankers.
I used this setup and i think the devoted hunter is the hardest because it is very fast and deals really high damage and has high health and I died to one on my first run with this setup, mainly because of the low hp
Sorry to hear that. Devoted Hunter is a sniper just like us. Indeed, he hits really hard and has very good range. Luckily he moves rather slowly and he will venture within 9km on his own so we just need to make sure we're not running away from him since his range is a lot longer than ours. If you meet the Devoted Hunter again I recommend keeping distance or orbiting at somewhere between 6-8km instead of going straight for the cache so that you can deal sufficient damage with your Multifrequency instead of Standard.
When do I do 1.4k dmg? Could you show me the timestamp? If anything, thatt probably means it was a wrecking shot. A wrecking shot deals 3x the normal damage.
Your ship total value showing 3.5M (cheap) However one Dual Modulated Pulse Laser sells for around 1.2M and you have 8 of them that alone comes down to 9.6M.. Can you explain? I also compared that variation laser with the Dual Anode Particle Stream I that sells for around 550K x 8 comes down to 4.5M, has nearly the exact DPS output.. Wich one the best/cheapest?
Keep in mind to fit Beam Lasers, not Pulse Lasers. If you fit short-range turrets in this fit you're almost 100% guaranteed to lose your ship. In my next video I explain the prices have gone up significantly. Expect to pay about double compared to Nov. 2020. I recommend buying at Jita or Amarr for guaranteed decent prices. That's not something I can control, and it effects everyone. The game devs are making a lot of changes that are driving up costs. At minimum skills this build is strong but very fine-tuned. Anything less than Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam Lasers (Meta 5) will not be enough to safely whittle down the Skybreaker from 20km range, meaning you'll need to get in close and personal with a shorter range laser crystal. Multifrequency is ~9km range which is fine if you have good agility skills (>600m/s, overheat optional), but at minimum skills you will be stuck at around 12km for most of the fight. Because of this, you might have some success taking Gamma S laser crystal instead, which will still put you in a decent damage level and give you the range you need to apply your damage and survive the Skybreaker encounter. That in mind I did not test this build with anything other than Multifrequency or Standard so I can't guarantee anything outside of the exact build listed.
No this fit does not work in a T1 I know some people have used Coercers for up to T2 but I have yet to find a working Coercer build for T1. Thanks for your interest!

I am not totally new to eve but returned after a long time, so far this is one of the best ways I have learned to make isk. thank you for the tutorial. If you have any fits and techniques for higher tier deadspace please share. :)
Thanks for this guide, as a newish player, this really helped and just completed my first run, made almost 2mil from the loot :)
Still works and with good skills (alpha cap) I'm getting almost 15m/hour. Straight line to bio, facetank like a madman and shoot everything that moves, works like a charm.
OUTSTANDING Training Video -- Thank You Savannah W
Thank you for this information it helped me out so much as a new player and gave me something to work from.
On day 3 and have about 126m and can now almost AFK firestorms while looking at RUclips seeing what ship im going to buy next
Glad it's been helpful in creating a baseline wealth for you! I wish you the best on your progressive EVE journey!
@@expherus You sure have and thank you
Did you ever do a Minmitar version of this? Either battle or cruiser?
Hi, I have just tested this fit. Works great! Thanks!
Glad you found it helpful!
You are an interesting man, and you should make more videos as you get the opportunity. Walking and voice, few understand these subjects' import. A salute o7, from Qeti.
Thanks for this video!!! I'm just started eve, i'm so lost. You did a grate work explaneing how this abyss stuff works. I will try it right now! :D
Awesome tutorial - With this one and the Cat one I was able to do my first 2 tonight.
Hello! Saw your stream on twitch, figured I'd come here and drop a sub and like. Your voice, overall video editing and quality is amazing. Cheers, man!
Good to see you again man!
THANK. YOU. FOR. THIS. GUIDE.
this is a very detailed guide great job
I am totally new player, started last week on wednesday, and even though I didnt find this fit on this video but somewhere else, its 100% same and I have been using it on Abyss0 Electrical and Firestorm, its the easiest most chill ISK money available at the start, I tried all types of content as not having much options as a newbie with newbie ships, mining, indust, explo etc, but this Abyss0 run are pretty much 2x more worth it than anything else at the start, done around 20+ runs and never died or was even close to dying, always finished in time no problem:)) really recommend this Coercer Fit:))
This is still a great guide. Thanks. I was wondering though how to build on this for high Abyssal levels.
Yes other faction destroyers pls
This is helpful. I've played on an off for years, last was when alpha cloves were released. Trying to relearn the game. Do you have any suggestions on working one's way up the abyssal tiers?
Unfortunately, no. The extent of my expertise stops right at T0. For higher tiers you may want to check out ThaGDee or Aceface. They provide RUclips-specific Eve Abyss content.
His voice is really really good ngl
Thanks, I have no idea about this content before seeing this. Your fit is nice too.
Excellent guide! well done
Great vid! You should add timestamps btw, and also I love your voice.
just getting back into eve many thanks for the vids abyssal is totally new for me subbed +1.
Great tutorial. Thanks!
How about the Caldari destroyers ... Which one to use and what to fit on it?
Also could the Caldari destroyers be better in any safe way considering dps and shield/armor stuff so i could pilot one into the dead space (if possible)?
Great video btw 👍
I literally got 2 of these for free from rewards. Very nice
Good job. Helped a lot. Thank you.
nice video for a newbie like me
Good informal video.
Awesome video! Thanks!
Good guide man, keep it up.
How about you cover a caldari destroyer next? Those missiles they have are fun!
Agreed. Looking for one of these as well
@@Luskus I never piloted a Corax before but I've recently made a discovery that increased my confidence in this field. I'm always looking to fully understand things before I share, so the discover is great news for me. We'll see!
thank you very clear for me as newbie
Glad I could help!
@@expherus Thanks for the fast answer! You're Videos are great!
only problem is you can’t find the lasers you use anymore. The only one i could find was 2.5 million isk
having a similar issue but instead i can't get the firestorm filaments, i feel like i'm going to have to travel all the way to jita just to get a few.
yeah they going for 1.4mil a laser now, just not worth it anymore if u dont have a good 10 mil in hand
I have a dual-tanked merlin with Neutron Blasters II. Would it be able to do a T0 electrical filament?
I appreciate your question, Austin! Like with most things EVE, it depends on your skills. In this case your combat skills. I did a fair portion of testing with the Merlin in T0 Electrical when I was making this video and it seemed to clear just fine until I ran into the Skybreaker for the first time. I think 90 dps was barely not enough to clear it, so I recommend 100 dps at least. But clear time wise I almost guarantee Destroyers will be faster, safer and more ISK/hr.
Totally new to eve online going to do my first run with this setup.
Glad to have you! I'd love to know how Tranquil Abyssals are working for you!
I’ve done a total of 5 runs haven’t died yet using this method. Your video was very helpful.
@@pain1416 Glad to know it's working well for you, man!
Maybe it is just me but i make the build 1 to 1 today with your equipment.... ( the same ship, weapons etc.) and i can not go in with Coercer because the game says I need at least T1 or T2 Cruiser.... did they just patched it out ?? I would be very happy about an answer. Btw very nice structured Video, I like the way you describe every single aspect of equipment. just by watching this one Video i learned a lot usefull tipps as a beginner.
goooood o7
20 millions \ H
thank you ^^
Doing the runs multiple times is a surefire easy way to collect ISK! glad you enjoyed yourself.
Is there any chance to get the 1.000.000 skillpoints if I already have an account?
I'm new, thank you.
Can I use a Gnosis fit for Aybss exploration? It has a good scan boost. I'm an Alpha Gallente capsuleer.
Battlecruisers cannot enter Abyssal Deadspace, so no.
outro music starts playing
me:WHAT! WWHHHHAT!
xD Bwahaha! Thank you for reaching the end of the video!
I do wonder if there is a reliable T1 destroyer for doing solo T2 abyss. My thought is that the Algos might be able to pull it off, but I think most would struggle.
I'd also like to know, if you ever find out!
Btw . I guess Kikimora is better
Thank you so much for this video! Sorry to bother you. Is there other people (potential enemies) in your abysal space? Thanks.
@@expherus Thank you so much for your help! I was wondering about other palyers. Would be possible to find other palyers in your dungeon? Thanks.
@@CienciayDeporte Not unless they are part of the fleet you create.
This tutorial made me quit Dota 2 and join eve 4 k is amazing
Amazing!
@@expherus Thanks.
this is so good
smf33 how do you get the combat information to show up in the chat window?
There's an option in the menu called "Logs and Messages" and you can drag and drop it onto the chat window.
Is there a substitute for Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I ?
The market looks empty right now.
The info I needed was in the outro which I didn't watch nooooo
@@Lindrios So sorry to hear that. I've had one other person explain this situation to me but he never replied. I appreciate you helping me diagnose the issue as the Vila Swarmer room. Could you send me your in game name? I'll send you compensation for the ship you lost.
This is a very good guide. I however didn't follow it fully and died on the last section almost cleared it as well :(
Was it the Striking Vila Swarmer drones?
How do you ahve enough range to attack the skybreaker at 20k because I have optimal range in 17k and falloff range at 19k
Are you using the exact build with the same exact modules? If you do not use the Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I and replace it with a lesser module, it will have a smaller range.
you could double your dps by having a friend :)
doubles the dps but lessens the loot into half. good trade I guess XD
@@itsianbeach1643 its to my understanding that the more filaments you use the more loot that drops.
There is 1 Dual Modulated Turret in the market and no blueprints. Is there anyway for me to get more?
Broadly speaking, the recommended way to find a needed item near you is to use the community-run online resource "evemarketer" which you can web search for. There may be one at a fair price in a neighboring region. If not, you can try visiting the Trade Hubs, Amarr (Amarr Faction Trabe Hub) or Jita (Biggest Trade Hub), which you will also see on the resource.
Thank you
Any reason to not use Dual Anode Light Particle Streams they are significantly cheaper and do more damage. Edit: I also cannot get my ship to the 20 minute drain you get with standard ammunition, even though the Dual Anodes take less power.
20 minute drain and 99.3 dps is with Standard S. With Multifrequency, Dual Modulated will get you 149 dps and about 2 minute capacitor
What are the batterys to the left
So the numbers showing red and negative on the top right isn't necessarily a bad thing?
Right! Red simply means running out of capacitor is a possibility given the right circumstances, but not every module needs to be active at all times.
@@expherus Ok thank you
How did u get to 1.4k dmg?
I only have 500?
Could it be because of the skills?
When do I do 1.4k dmg? Could you show me the timestamp? If anything, thatt probably means it was a wrecking shot. A wrecking shot deals 3x the normal damage.
how is possible you gain double of my loot in LV0 abyssal?
@@expherus ahhh, akay'
can this work in T1 as well? works awesome in T0
No this fit does not work in a T1
I know some people have used Coercers for up to T2 but I have yet to find a working Coercer build for T1. Thanks for your interest!
