Overall, I don't think these changes are going to result in much of a META shift, and probably also won't change how it feels to play a Tank in M+ at the moment.

Have been playing brew since s1 start and really enjoyed the class. Now that I’m progressing into 9s-10s it’s nowhere near the mitigation other tanks are capable of in the S tier. Even with the hero talent 10% dr it just feels bad. Hoping no news means something is being cooked up behind the scenes but I doubt it.
I'll join you in hoping for it, even though I don't play Brewmaster, I still think every spec should be at least viable for AOTC and Keystone Hero, otherwise the balance team simply isn't working well
Been playing tank since WotLK. I recently became a chill FOTM re-roller to be honest.- So what do you think @Definitely Not Vlad will Guardian take over, will Protection Warrior make a comeback, or will Protection paladin keep the Meta throne?
Unless they've added more changes than what I saw in these notes, Paladin looks like it's gonna stay the king, but Guardian might bump up to be second best thanks to their newfound Magic DR from a portion of their Armor DR.
I think Paladin's innate interrupt heavy toolkit is incredible with how bloated the trash is with interrupts. being able to do up to even three times as many interrupts as any other class helps a lot when every trash cast is deadly.

don't worry people , changes are still coming , there is two months left , we had this bs on tww , and there was so many moree fixes and buffs coming , prot warriors nerfs might be reverted or some changes at least or even more buffs to ignore pain to compensate.
More cognitive load on warrior with these changes yes, and something you didnt mention that i think is worth pointing out is less rage generated means less rage spent, means less CDR on Avatar, means less damage .. its like a death roll of bad changes for ABSOLUTELY no reason.. Even with the way it plays right now, you occasionally get a few seconds with nothing to press - we´re going to have a lot more of that with these changes unfortunately. What are they even doing, it´s bad...
Yeah I can't really figure out what issue they were trying to fix with Warrior honestly, sure, it's kind of silly that you can spam Ignore Pain, but this change feels punishing instead of making something fun
@@Definitely_Not_Vladthe ignore pain spam is only an issue with Mountain Thane, Colossus doesn't really have this issue. These changes will kill Colossus as a hero spec.
Pretty good takes. I'm a little sad devs keep monkeying around with warrior(warrior main since dirt was invented) I think the idea of individual ignore pain uses feeling good is fine, but "prot warrior flooded with rage" is kind of a base line requirement. Both survivability and damage(threat) output require the same resource pool. making a second or third pass to reduce rage gen is just further down the feels bad hole. Still feels like they need to get people that play the game at a high enough difficulty where it matter in on class development.
You didn't even mention all the rage that goes into anger management to reduce the cd of avatar (more damage and thunder blasts) and shield wall. You only mention the talent that reduces shield wall with every cast of shield slam, a talent most prot warriors don't even play since double shield wall talent is better in most cases.
That's fair enough! I don't play much Protection Warrior, I just mention the things that were obvious to me (:
prot warrior lost out on this and brewmasters dont exist.
Poor Brewmasters, you'd imagine they were doing great, but I feel like they're extinct, all I see is Protection Warriors and Paladin, hahaha

I think they had a Butchered Spec Hotline, but they shut it down because they couldn't handle the workload

I just play what I enjoy. For example, I play brew master. The literal least played tank in game.
I love it :D I play more cause it's what I enjoy.
That's awesome, there's definitely specs that click for me as well, I default back to Retribution Paladin and Fury Warrior, those two are _always_ fun for me

Who were these changes designed for? Cause they certainly werent designed for the average player. I think WoW devs are just so out of touch and they are listening to the wrong feedback from players in their changes.

I think these are interesting changes, especially for Druid. The Warrior ones seem like a bit of a nothing burger, but when I think about it for a bit, spamming Ignore Pain does seem a bit weird and thoughtless
@@Definitely_Not_Vlad The reason players dont play tanks though is because they are getting absolutely pooped in damage taken. Most of these are nerfs? Like why are we nerfing tanks when we should be buffing the tanks who underperform to compensate. I dont know just kinda over the cadence of NEEDING to nerf everything. Buff the underperformers. Druid changes are fine, DH shouldnt be touched period that class has too much stuff in the arms race to be turning nobs. Where is Monk? No like seriously cause I never see Brewmasters. Paladins are OK probably the most balanced tank imo. Warriors should be tanky period, like they lack self healing thats their weakness.
As a prot war main, the ignore pain buff is not enough to compensate for the enormous rage gen nerf across the other changes. Mountain Thane over caps rage, and so I understand the position of adjusting rage gen there, but counter that Prot War is meant to be a fast tank and Thane is meant to be the fast prot war.
Colossus can struggle to generate enough rage to keep mitigation up in Mythic Raid in some instances. These changes run the risk of making Colossus unviable. Without the self healing of other tanks, Warriors NEED to be the Tankiest Tank.
That's the trade off, they can't heal, but they do good damage and have strong mitigation
It's not for the average player.
It's also not for the elite. Skyhold (the warrior Discord where several of the best in the world hand out, people who write guides) has been on fire with rage about this. It's just a nerf. It's not retuning. It's a gigantic nerf.

Maybe not though, with these changes we're also getting a new rotation of dungeons, which we don't know much about yet (at least I don't), and in those dungeons tanks may not be getting bullied as much, I'm excited to see
These changes are stupid and wont help any of the problems with tanking right now.
The warrior ones are a bit weird, but I wouldn't say the changes overall are stupid. We don't know if things will change until we get a good grasp of the dungeon tuning for next season though
@@Definitely_Not_Vlad thats true. As a prot warrior main I'm just starting to get bitter about how things are for tanks right now. I really hate the nerfs they hit us with at the start of TWW, combined with the overall m+ dungeon changes. I used to enjoy m+, now it feels like a stressful, anxiety inducing chore to me and it's got me angry. I don't have time to commit to an organized team, so I'm riding the struggle bus with pugs and I'm about to quit.
Tank changes? this is all garbage and prot paladin is still ridiculous compared to other stuff
Sorry to hear you're not excited about at least the Guardian changes, which I think are pretty nice, but I get it's frustrating watching one tank be that much better
prot paladin only got damage lad , that's it , its very squishy compared to others , 0.1% of the playerbase is gonna care about the max of the max damage a tank can do , prot warrior did reach 17 range keys , prot paladins reached 18/19 keys .
