@@stahliboi6249 its dogshit for every single class until you get the three BiS gems, and even then, if you dont stack mastery it is still not better than any 636 crafted, and not better than many 626 pieces.
Why are you supporting this behavior? Just stop and play something more engaging. WoW is like being in a relationship with someone who's boring as hell.
I think you hit the nail on the head. So many of these mid-patch islands become nothing but waiting for that one named mob you need for a drop or achievement to show up. Add the artificial time-gating, and it really feels like the content is being 'stretched' in order to extend how much time I stay busy on said island. Between both of those - the time gating and the rare-fest, it's absolutely killed my motivation to play these new areas.
They aren't developing games, they're developing a reward service. The lore is undercut by the fact that everything is shoehorned into a reward delivery system. Even without the bugs, is this actually the sort of game anyone wants to play or is it just something to do while socializing with friends.
Socializing with friends?? Who actually socializes I. Retail. The whole reason I’ve always gone back to classic is because retail utterly lacks a social aspect
@@Burlehmangusit doesn't lack one, but you do have to go looking for it and likeminded players doing the stuff you want to do. In classic, the social aspect forces itself upon you through the foundations of the game. It's far superior in classic. But classic provides no challenge for me, which sucks. I wish they'd just turn retail into a more classic-like experience.
@Burlehmangus that's sort of the problem with the game right now. It's a solo multiplayer game where nothing you do matters beyond some cosmetics and the lore (unless we get retcons).
@@anthonystrickland7049 some of the most loved expansions feature the most braindead retcons of all time. People don't care about retcons if the execution is good, like Legion. Everything you say is true, but people should stop acting like the retcons are the worst thing ever. Think about it this way: who is going to be mad if they retcon the jailer or downplay it massively by using light retcons or massive ones? Nobody. But yeah, you're spot on. We definitely agree on everything else.
It's actually astounding how blizzard can consistently release patches in a completely broken and buggy state when they have World of Warcraft quadruple monetized AND recently increased the price of each expansion by 10$ AND DID EARLY ACCESS How in the actual hell are you are going to charge for a Sub, in game cosmetics, in game currency, early access, expansions, and in game services and not have the flagship feature work in any of the patches you release
Its because people will roll over each time and just pay up. They'll complain and keep buying because people are either addicted to wow or too afraid to try other games.
wow is not a game for fun... it's a corpo money making mashine for the few CEOs and shareholders. The players are the zombies being milked of their money.
Blizzard has been pathologically terrified of people consuming content faster than they can put it out since vanilla. Back then it wasn´t such a problem because it took so long to get things done (leveling, reputation, attunements, etc). There was time to do other things, level alts, before the available content dried up. But now leveling is a joke and they go out of their way to funnel players as fast as they can and cram them in that timegated endgame zone. Which would be okay if it wasn't filled with so much slop and meaningless content. They've fallen into the rote modus operandi of patch releasing a new zone, with new dailies (mechanically same as the old ones), new temporary currencies. Every new expansion has one stellar, well received feature at least initially (Legion's Legendaries, BFA's Heart, Shadowland's Covenants, Dragonflight's Dragonriding and War Within's Delves), while everything else has been the same mechanically with minor cosmetic differences for years. No wonder the game for many people feels stale - they've been playing the same thing, dressed just a bit different, for almost a decade.
It's the same story everytime we are 3-4 months into the patch and the majority of the people got what they wanted from the game (fully geared characters, AOTC/CE, KSM etc) and are getting increasingly bored. It's just not enough content to keep you hooked for 6-7 months. For me it's not a very big deal because I think it's healthy to take a small break from the game from time to time, when it's getting stale, and just come back for the new patch.
Things can be the same as long as it's FUN. Look at Monster Hunter and Souls games. When things are not fun, it's easier to recognize patterns, see flaws, really just start dismantling everything around you.
I remember also when there used to be at least a LITTLE difference in experience based on what race and class you played. Now, you roll a new character and they're trying so hard to yeet you into endgame that you don't get any of the race foundational storyline and so on.
Content should be gated by time, only it should be time spent leveling. But yea you didnt want progression to take time so you are just hard capped on it. Deal with your own stupidity.
Content should be gated by time, only it should be time spent leveling. But yea you didnt want progression to take time so you are just hard capped on it. Deal with your own stupidity.
The long and short of it is the game is too easy, so ultimately the amount of content there is or isn't in a patch is irrelevant since it is tuned for the extreme casual end of the spectrum and so it gets "consumed" instantly. That is why they time-gate things, otherwise people wouldn't have anything to do in just a couple hours of playing. People really don't understand the full extent of damage M+ has done to WoW as a whole. The game is fundamentally out of balance.
@@RealMonno People will never be happy, if you wanna actually enjoy a game now especially an mmo you gotta basically get off any form of media platform that deals with said game cause 99% of people that go to those often cry about the state of the game. Players are insanely entitled now its crazy.
The idea to have a ring that takes away secondary stats and instead replace it with procc'able gem effects is wild to me. I will never understand why that was a thought and instead not keeping 2 secondary stats and have them be tweakable. Then give us the procc effects as bonuses for the gem.
@Titzmcfloppin Lets create this hyped ring and make it a necessity to have for the next upcoming season. Tie in lore to it that arguably does not have a lot to do with the Goblins patch. But let's take away secondary stats and make it a single secondary of your highest stat and have another gem that gives you dps, and another healing. I just... idk I hated the Azerite system so much in BFA. People hated the Onyx ring in Dragonflight. Like why do the same thing instead of finding something different.
Remove the main stats too. Bump the effects up even further. Switch from ring to trinket. It's the slot for the type of effect anyway so why not go big and make some customizable mega trinkets.
The love died with blizzard north. Though I will say some of the classic team seem passionate, and the SoD team was awesome and very passionate until they burned out, and got utterly shit on for minor reasons very early on by a toxic fan base…then they just seemed like all the passion was sucked out of them, and I can’t blame em
Starting? TBF, I don't blame the devs. If the company's paying you to make a shit game that's the company's fault. Seems to mostly be an issue with public companies who decided to chase industry metrics because the people in charge don't know anything about gaming.
Yes, the recycling in the game industry is very important. Companies will get rid of these types of developers because they are finally losing a lot of money.
They did make games they wanted to play, and then you bitched and whined that it was too hard and took too long to finish abd you got an important shift at mcdonalds! And now the game is "accesible" aka shit
Time gating sucks because it assumes you'll always have the same availability. Just because I have a ton of time to grind WoW this week, doesn't mean I do next week.
There are signs of entropy all over, in-game. Devilsaurs stuck in the ground in UnGoro. Glitches changing "floors" in IceCrown citadel leading to falling deaths. Maybe not a huge thing where the major focus of the game has become end game content, perhaps... but it's kind of like an apartment complex. Would you want to live in the suit if you knew maintenance only check the newer parts of the building?
What made me really sad about the lore on the island is I can't stop and read the tablets since the mobs just attack you. I have ADHD, I can't read something so damn fast!
Only thing I could recommend is screenshoting the tablets so you have time to read them later. Think of it like your character is transcribing it if you want immersion reason for doing it this way or something.
You just have to go back to it afterwords or I mean I took my time reading them all there’s like one or two guys to kill and they don’t respawn for a while
its Agile.... they push garbage as fast as they can to see what "we like" then they work on that what they dont realize is that this method has chased away sooooo many players they are just fighting over the same remaining players.... making them chase "the new content"
They probably forget people hard play and expect their content to last longer. Many players, probably most, just chase quest markers and ignore text. You can complete Siren's Isle in two hours. Even the storm side of it. My gear is below 600 and I can solo the elites and rares. Not been able to solo the "bosses" because 20 people always there so I haven't gotten to try. In the main patch, you could do a zone in no time. All the effort that goes into the game, all the hidden stuff and lore and scenic areas - kinda wasted when players do that. And I will not even bother with Blacksmithing. 1) why bother anyways, my gear lets me do anything already; 2) every little piece requires so many items and 3) who the hell thought making exploding mining nodes was a good idea?
So weird … they gave us ONE raid and then announce they new xpac just kills the whole game what’s the point now if everything means nothing and will be replaced in 10 months
@@Thepaintingdungeon LMAO. I have water walking on my mount and I have discovered I can fill an event at the table and run the entire shoreline around the island and still make it to the opening of the event. The island is very small and very compact. It does not feel like a zone. There are many battlegrounds which are larger than the isle.
@@kernel2006 Yeah, see tho: while that kinda stinks, it's really not so bad. A quick catch-up phase with a mildly entertaining bonanza zone is ok, & this raid looks to be a banger. So, here's to hoping it all works out.

@@justinhammon4750 not really - the issue was time gating, not amount of effort. People were perfectly happy to grind for them, but not happy to grind in a way that blizzard planned in their calendars.
WoW's biggest gameplay issue is that it doesn't try to keep things on an immersion level. Ambigous word, but things like crests... wtf is that from a character's point of view. It's a game mechanic that feels like a game mechanic, it's timegated, etc. Any lore reason just falls flat. What's a battle/seasonpass to the character I'm inversted in? Their optional job iisting? :P Things like that is so driven by metrics and engagement that it completely leaves gaming behind imo.
why no expac will be like legion, one of the best for immersion, i will always use the long tedious questline from Suramar, best questline ever i felt like i was there myself fighting to save the city from corruption. we will probably never see anything like that again on that deep of an immersion level, legion had a whole ray of sperate issues that dont deal with the story that caused it to be kinda annoying when trying to do the story line. i miss legion for the story telling.
@GothyG that's why I can't wait for legion classic. I know it ain't classic in the classic sense but starting at WoD I'm switching to classic full time. I loved WoD, Legion, amd BFA. Can't wait!!!

Appreciated the casual, chat-vibe of this video. I've played wow for 20 years and plan on playing it for another 20. Content creators like max and other high end players exhaust the end game content and the say it is dead and time to play other games. Just when the average player is finally geared enough to push into literal, end game content, all the hype is gone. Please reward the players who keep on playing their game. this patch being buggy and with the ring so weak is insulting to those of us who still want to play. Make the ring really god damn powerful! and FUN. give end game players who play at the end of a season increased flexibility. behind in crests? 20% crest drop rate per week you are behind. Actual profession catch ups if you want to swap professions. love that they did a stacking raid buff, but what about changing mechanics that stull require weakauras? stuck on brood and oh no, somebody swapped characters, need to set up weakauras. oh no, need to bring in a sub or two? time to set up weakauras. come on....same thing for Smolderon, Echo. it just murders momentum. As of today (Monday afternoon Eastern Time) the bug with the boss who drops the BIS ring is still in place. If you pull him too far from where he spawns, the event simply ends . The event is what awards the gem itself.
I'm glad I got off this beaten horse as soon as my prepaid subscription ended a week ago. Literally reinforces my stance whenever patches like this comes out. The devs just don't have any heart left in this soulless husk of an MMO which is day by day decaying into a microtransaction hellscape of whales and elitists.
Yeah I may just finish the exact and quit :/. I have a good PC and I will be coming on and off but the siren isle was boring patch zZZZ I rather play other games now tbh.
@@Thepaintingdungeon hope you find another game that is worth your time my man. I love WoW, but I’ve finally just grown out of their rinse and repeat recycled content.
The lore on Siren Isle is interesting - at least, when mobs leave me alone long enough to actually read it - but the "small, densely packed zone" that content creators were so pleased about because "it doesn't matter you can't fly" detracts from any sense of exploration because you can't stop and just LOOK at things, and the repeatable quests don't seem to add much to a gameplay loop that's mostly "desperately rush around and try to tag a rare". It's the same problem as the Forbidden Reach: the gameplay is only fun if you like following around a pack of players hunting rares.
i wish they left lil secret areas or just funny gags like in the old days, draenor with the Robin Williams memorial or like in DF the island with crabs wearing dragon bones. i love exploring the new places and lil areas. but i dont really have anyway to do that with war within.
Yes, I do like these longer form discussion videos... and I AM able to do chores listening to them, I was literally washing dishes when you brought that bit up. Made me chuckle.
Returning after 14 years, and I finally felt like I was hitting my stride with understanding and figuring stuff out? And then these last two updates, they just totally screwed me, and I'm finding it very difficult to keep wanting to jump in and give my time to any amount of this "Game". I enjoyed the story bits, truly- but now I'm left gated and backtracking in the most sloggish unfun way- and then Siren Isle simply feels... small. Tiny. Not enough.
The game is definitely aimed after the try-hards who completed everything in a week, get bored, and watch hours of explanation videos. There are so many systems and things to do to stop people from doing it all and unsubbing until the next major patch.
@@ianwestc Don't get me wrong, I am totally a try hard mount farmer, but the things I feel off about are the lack of care- it seems like a lot more cleanup then update, does that make sense? Like "oh no, our patch didn't fix anything, better make another patch!" then we all have to wait another week with 8 hour maintenance for the patch-patch. I hear so many people talking about skips, and PVP, and mounts, and this, and that- and that's the overwhelming bit. As someone definitely more casual, I just feel like there's almost no way to not feel left out, or left behind. Rushing, slogging, either way I'm doing most of it alone, and not by choice. At that point, doesn't quite feel massively multiplayer, you know? At least I did stuff with other people during the Felcycle, and that was genuinely fun!
Seeing Kindy Sparkshine's parents living in Dornogal in the only section of the city with lanterns all over made me smile warmly and start looking for little lore bits like that that are indeed littered around zones. The Siren Isle is sorta meh, but I've really liked this expansion ao far. I've been looking forward to Undermined quite a bit and assume that patch being so big is why this one is so small.
Another problem for me as someone who loves collecting - so many achievements, mounts, mogs, etc. *ARE ALSO TIME GATED*. I listen to this video and think "oh, it'd be fun to go get some mounts and whatnot" then I remember my time in DF, farming time gated reps, time gated achieves, time gated rares. On top of this, so many are locked behind partying up or progress slows to grueling slows. In a game that has pushed players away from social interactions and grouping and hidden side content or reduced its mainstream relevance, locking these things behind a slog of a grind or grouping up feels terrible.
Timegating is fine by me. I don't need everything all at once, even the story being spread out is fine (I am also fine with waiting for movies to come out on disc to watch, so there is that). However, the amount of bugs in this expansion is driving me insane. It is absolutely inexcusable how bad this game is in regards to bugs and things just not working right. I still haven't been able to get my last two citrines (bis ones btw) so I can't even use the ring. I've spent hours trying to get the Shuddering Hollow event to work, to no avail. While Blizzard's choices with direction may be up for debate, their lack of QA is not. It needs to be fixed. Now.
@@artavian2459 Bad active content is worse than waiting for content to a lot of people. Maybe not to you. But to others the fact that its live and cant be done is worse than waiting for stuff to be turned on to do.
I know plenty of people who don't give a damn about transmog and achievements, and want to play the game to power up... so if that content is timegated then it just leaves that part of the playerbase feeling frustrated. especially casual players who might only have 1-2 nights a week to play and don't have much to do because of this artificial limitation

I don't even want to know how much content I would miss on a map if I didn't have addons like Handynotes showing everything. Blizzard does a really poor job of presenting content that's already there to players - especially to new players.
My biggest problem with the game is the complete lack of innovation and development after 20 years. Crafting, fishing, questing, dungeons, etc, its all basically the same after 20 years. They add a system in like Pet Battles, and it just stays the same, no development, it could be a full fledged system competative with stand alone games. They added the farm in Pandaria, wow a cool new system they could develope into a huge feature for players who just want to be farmers, nope. Garrisons? Housing? Nope. Mythic dungeon system is the same as it was when it came out. Crafting updates are nice, but 15 years late. It's just been wasted potential after wasted potential. They add systems, and they get removed next expansion or just sit and get stale with no improvements development.
True.. and thats why Riot Games scrapped their MMO game and started all over again. They see whats going on around and they dont wanna release something, what has been on the market already for yeaaaars. They know, that we need a new Generation of MMO games. Problem is, nobody knows, how the new generation should look like.
Mythic+ is not the same as it was when it came out and crafting got an entire new work order system with knowledge trees in Dragonflight. What are you talking about? There's so many other things to complain about, farms is a good example, but it sounds like you haven't played the game since Legion.
I’m honestly sick of these island patches. Just give us a giant main patch because gong to an island that’s basically a nipple on the map of Azeroth is boring
Totally agree on the ring being worse than normal gear. I took it back off as soon as I realized I'd be gimping three different states that are crucial to my character's ability to kick @$$. On top of that, wearing jewelry of any kind completely goes against the look and general vibe of my character anyway. If they're going to make it so jewelry is visible, then Blizzard better make it possible to be transmoged and or made invisible. Please don't screw this up Blizz!
yea tbh taking time off this time of year is only something a really nice company will allow u to do. and most of the time its only if ur in a decent spot. if ur the worker bee gl ur working christmas
The greed machine needs money most this time of year. It’s milk time. I don’t know anyone that was able to even take days off. They all black the shit out as said. Scumbags and greed since Covid.
Something that can improve the game in a patch, get rid of heroics seasons, and just make two heroics queues. One for ALL the current expansion heroics, and one for ALL the previous expansion heroics. FFXIV did that successfully for levelling jobs. With the second queue being double XP and double faction rep.
Idk Bel, I have been kind of checked out since you stopped showing mostly footage, but "cooked as hard as they could" is crazy. Players calling this story slop is not judgemental bias, its almost by design. War Within has some cool parts, it has plenty of great images and ideas. However, ultimately they draw us in with this grand premise, then string it along with tons of padding till its totally watered down. We start off with a bang, we get early inspiration where short term characters shine, and then its a long haul of low grade writing with abysmal dragged out quests. I also don't think any historical precedent defends that issue. Bad as SL was, the lessons should run a little bit deeper here. Raiding and M+ are aight, and I liked a lot of the world content, I liked some of the zones.. but these big underground caves get boring, and too many of these campaign quests feel like blatant pad metrics. Especially the parts that are pure Earthen unlock. The idea that audiences are too dumb or programmed to see the good they do is, honestly, a tired cope we've been hearing for ages. The amount of goodwill and payment on unused subscriptions they receive is still is way too high for them to get bail here.
you can never convince the people who will happily lap up the mediocre lukewarm story that its anything but great. a few cool moments doesnt make something great overall. I say the same thing about TWW that I did with DF, its mediocre at best, better than SL but definitely vastly inferior to every other pre-SL expansion.
The fact that this video didn't come out the day after the patch and instead waited a week after he got all his premade hype videos out says a lot more about his care of money than the state of the game..... I can get more info in a single shorter video from MrGM or Soulsobreezy than a week of videos from this channel.
I’m glad the patch is on lighter side because that BFA meta achievement, TWW Meta, winter veil catch up, anniversary event, Felcycle, is enough to be going on with… plus upcoming plunderstorm return and undermined on the horizon

Your comment about achievements being "hidden" content is well made. This was a fun aspect for the patch, but it too is suffering from the boss bug and timegating and the dribbling out of different bosses and quests. I was late starting and was still looking around going "really that's it?"
Not been back since early 2023,and was expecting to return, but not sure i should since Blizzard dont seem to care, and their multiple *" we learned from our mistakes"* multiple times was just PR bs
I'll never root for a game to do badly. I do think its not in a good place and needs some major overhauls. For WoW, they are too spread thin with so many different versions of the game. they need more people testing features out before releasing them. they also, need to start listening to feedback much earlier instead of getting to the point of mass exodus. that's for any game.
Mass exodus to where honestly? Most people went to ff14 and cameback because the combat there sucks. If you dont care about story and only about combat and endgame, ff14 is not close to wow as much as I love that game. Their engine manages to be worse than wow'a@@uria2001
Most of the rhetoric is just WOW complainers. This is the most fun the game has ever been, has the most QOL changes for player benefit and the variety of content available has never been better. I feel badly for anyone who mains FF MMO tbh.
That's appreciated. But the game is overall great right now. There are minor issues, but blizzard will fix them, they always do.Bellular just makes negative videos because they get more clicks.
Timegating is why I stopped playing really. Why would I want to play each week to get bits and pieces, when I could just wait till the end of the patch and get everything I want at my leisure. But of course doing that means the things associated with the patch, will no longer be relevant and worth getting. So what's the point? Just let me get the things at my own pace. When I am in that zone and really want to play I hate being throttled and made to wait.
Meh. The casuals I talk to don't care, it was better than their rings that they hadn't upgraded past 619 due to crests being more scarce for them and/or they play, well, casually. New and shiny proc was enough for them. Lots of smoke online for a minor patch around the holidays.
Actually it was worse for me at 642 vs my 619 rings until they deleted the timegate for the gems so that felt bad but now it is an improvement with the other gems and brings up ilevel to make it a little easier getting into keys
I've had an active subscription since the week after launch of vanilla wow. I'm about to drop my subscription... It feels more and more like they care less about giving players good experiences and instead just want to pick my pocket of every penny. This time gating feels like they want me to stay subbed but only want me to play for a few minutes then go do something else. TWW looked to be a great expansion, heading in the right direction, bringing some wonder back to wow and instead I've never felt this bored playing the game... The expansion has only been out for a few months. 😬
@@xXEndermanManXx I did have some issues, but I didn't feel like all bliz wanted was my money. They didn't have the non stop microtransactions at the time. @ I’ve found myself playing more and more since dragonflight came out. There’s definitely down time but I don’t really care cause it gives me time to play other games
One of many reasons I stopped playing World of Warcraft. The incessant grind, time gating, lack of gaining gear (bad RNG), lack of progressions, constantly doing mythics and other dungeons without getting gear and having to wait for a week, PVP lack of balance, bad playerbase, you name it. Blizzard has never bothered to fix problems and continue with the same issues after over decades.
Man people need to chill out and stop trying to rush through things all the time. There is SO much to do in the game, just relax and enjoy, its a live game there will ALWAYS be bugs and there should be no end to the game hence chill trying to rush through the game.
If you check your /played time and calculate the cost per hour of playing WoW, you'll likely find it offers better value than 90% of other entertainment options. Stop complaining about cost. As for those who consider the game mediocre because of minor bugs - this is a game that consistently delivers beautiful content and regular updates. These small issues are typically fixed quickly and don't impact long term core gameplay. If you're dismissing WoW for such minor flaws, perhaps you're being overly critical and just never going to be pleased, they could probably release slower with no bugs and you would complain they are too slow and not enough content
I think this might be my favorite video of yours. It feels more casual and like we're just chilling and talking about what needs to be talked about. Big thumbs up to potentially more long(er)-form content in the future.
It's hilarious how much WoW lives rent free in people's heads. Especially in the comments of this channel. You don't like WoW, laugh at it doing poorly, think it's been bad for years, and yet you're still subscribed to a WoW RUclips channel, came to a video uploaded within 30 minutes of it going live, and cared enough to leave a negative comment about a game you don't play anymore. You guys are just as sad as any bad WoW patch.
It is fun seeing the arrogant people at blizzard stumble over themselves over and over again. Despite us telling the exactly what they should do every time they always say “you think you do, but you do not” and than they proceeds to fail and we were right all along. Repeat. It is hilarious.
I really think whatever team is responsible for administering the game mid-expansion is pretty much a skeleton crew. Or they are very unmotivated/depressed not being on the cutting edge team. Or don't have a pulse on the community. Likely two of the three. Would be interesting to see who's the team lead and ask them "What's up? Are you guys alright?"
@@troycope6412 Exactly, it's like they haven't even bothered to SIM the ring it's a ridiculous lack of care and minimal effort. And that's beyond the horrendous handling of pacing. Gameplay should dictate pacing not the other way around.
I love that you hype content, even if it’s not received well. When it boils down to it, a lot of us are here for the long haul. I’d much rather go into content thinking it’s going to be fun, because at least then when I’m let down I at least enjoyed it for a little bit before then. Negative content creators have me thinking it’s going to suck so bad that it’s hard to even log in, but I do, because we all do.
The Stal bug is non-existent on specific realms oddly. On Silvermoon it's horrendously bad, but on other realms the bug doesn't exist. I'm thinking it might be due to population attacking the boss simultaneously causing it to bug. Too many and it might bug out. With smaller groups it appears to work as intended.
He isn't the issue mate, it's just Blizzard now are milking every $$ out of this MMO because they know sooner or later it will die... yes, I know you heared WoW is dying 6years ago.. but with the modern Tech/games/newer generations... I assume Retail WoW will last till 2030 at max. but Classic+ WoW will be forever eternal.
@@zorashki He is the problem. He turned the game into a sweaty, soulless, competitive ARPG. Retail WoW isn't a RPG anymore, it plays more like an e-sport with some MMO zones tacked on.
I'm losing all respect for this channel, he just put out like 9 videos singing phrases and now hes saying its a problem.... He's reaching Asmongold levels of clickbait and out of touch videos
ATT is one of the addons that has kept large amounts of players engaged with the game - Blizzard need to design better with collectors in mind and make collecting stuff both more fair, less grindy and more obviously visible. Like, Thrayir's unlock requirements could be part of a "Things to Do in This Zone" UI element when you go to the Siren Isle that lists different achievements, their rewards and how to get them. And put the damn Spreading the Light mogs on vendors..
Honestly, I think Timeless Isle was lightning in a bottle. Isle of Thunder was good and had a few of the same elements, but they've actively tried to recapture the Timeless Isle feel for a decade now - and it just hasn't been quite the same. Some have come pretty close, I'd say Mechagon was probably the closest they've gotten, but it has just been the same "isle" design but slightly worse then it was in MoP
I 100% agree. Right now I am spending time with the family for the holidays, working on nongaming projects while I have the time. And right now, WOW is not fun for me as a healer. My healer is not the "meta", Mythic Plus is just no fun anymore, etc. Now this patch comes out at a time I just feel burned out. A ring that is not really useful? That I have to just grind daily to improvement? Heck no. I have already gotten 7 toons to 80, and if I have to level another toon I might scream. So, taking a bit of break from wow grinding to do other things. the only reason I still play right now is that I love my guild and raid team.
this new patch is just plain boring... excellent changes to crests etc, but yeah, new island? should just be called boredom island EDIT: 20 years, does blizzard even test their stuff before they send it live? 20 bloody years!!!
As a healer the three gems are insane for healing. Its adding about 10% of healing in a passive way. No other ring can add that kind of output. I can't speak for other classes but for healing the ring is amazing.
My biggest gripe is the sheer amount of bugs. Like the Amalgam of Rage Diablo promotion mount which costs real money, which causes your player character to disappear. I thought to myself, 'Strange, but I'm sure they'll fix it soon.' Looked on the forums, and people have been complaining about this bug since 2022. And now they're trying to sell that very same mount again for a new Diablo promotion? I don't get it. I understand things being buggy with a new patch, but it feels like they aren't even trying to fix them anymore.
Nah, Listen, we gotta talk about this. Ok, here's why I summarily reject the isle. BC content update - Isle dailies, Cata content update - Isle dailies, Pandaland content update - Isle dailies, legion update - Isle dailies, BFA content update - Isle dailies, Shadowlands, Dragonflight content updates - better believe they're getting island dailies... And then, as a slap in the face to everyone who thought they would get some quality time in over the holiday to smash this terrible idea out, and be done with it, we time gate it until everyone is back at work. Nice.
Blizzard continually ignore the fact their mainstay playerbase is 20 years older now, and we do not want our time constantly disrespected. They see the posts, the videos, the tickets, and blatantly ignore it because we think we do but we do not, and nanny blizzard knows better. What you really want is our mandatory churned out, time-gated, dog slop arbitrary logged in time in order to qualify for the end game content.
The Kul Tirans left because the loot sucked.
"It's not junk, it's Treasure..." Blizz, the kobold

Yeah that return next week for such boring mundane content. Barely anything new
You're "running out of content" in both scenarios. At least one incentivizes you to absorb the story

Ya and that’s what I’m doing. Bout time to cut out membership since all I end up doing is playing classic sod..
Pay me a month of subs and I will give you more content ...
he is from Eu. wednesday is reset here so i guess thats why
Mid patch makes no sense …. Have it at the start
Friends? What is that?
It's actually astounding how blizzard can consistently release patches in a completely broken and buggy state when they have World of Warcraft quadruple monetized AND recently increased the price of each expansion by 10$ AND DID EARLY ACCESS
How in the actual hell are you are going to charge for a Sub, in game cosmetics, in game currency, early access, expansions, and in game services and not have the flagship feature work in any of the patches you release
This should be higher in the comments.
Its because people will roll over each time and just pay up. They'll complain and keep buying because people are either addicted to wow or too afraid to try other games.
well said
wow is not a game for fun... it's a corpo money making mashine for the few CEOs and shareholders. The players are the zombies being milked of their money.
Ok hear me out this is a ten foil hat but it feels like is todd howard making blizzard this is bethesda fallout game quality levels

Agreed
Makes too much sense. Try again.
I like my ring casting lightning on my mage.
There are a few that deal with secondary stats actually
Remove the main stats too.
Bump the effects up even further.
Switch from ring to trinket.
It's the slot for the type of effect anyway so why not go big and make some customizable mega trinkets.
starting to feel like a lot of game companies just have devs who make a game, not devs who make a game they play and want to enjoy.
You just have to go back to it afterwords or I mean I took my time reading them all there’s like one or two guys to kill and they don’t respawn for a while
Yeah that was annoying. You can re-read them at the end before teleporting out but all the statues reactivate so I didn't deem it worth it.
It's nice as a rogue. You can interact with them and then stealth, letting you read in peace. :D

its Agile.... they push garbage as fast as they can to see what "we like" then they work on that
what they dont realize is that this method has chased away sooooo many players
they are just fighting over the same remaining players.... making them chase "the new content"
And then Midnight will come around, have a solid launch, and the patch content will be lame because they're more excited for The Last Titan...

This island is for for people to catch up. Its literally catch up gear.

No one cares about immersion anymore. It's just a slot machine with a competitive element.

Now.
Lmao why does it bother you, it’s bugged just wait for it to be fixed since you’re very patient
@@artavian2459 Bad active content is worse than waiting for content to a lot of people. Maybe not to you. But to others the fact that its live and cant be done is worse than waiting for stuff to be turned on to do.
I know plenty of people who don't give a damn about transmog and achievements, and want to play the game to power up... so if that content is timegated then it just leaves that part of the playerbase feeling frustrated. especially casual players who might only have 1-2 nights a week to play and don't have much to do because of this artificial limitation

then unsub and come back later for catchup
I don't even want to know how much content I would miss on a map if I didn't have addons like Handynotes showing everything. Blizzard does a really poor job of presenting content that's already there to players - especially to new players.
The reason you gave at 3:50 has nothing to do with timegating. It's literally just about subscription money.
Funny enough people will quit and restart playing regardless of existing time gating
There is ZERO quality control in WoW, and it’s clearer this expansion than ever before
My biggest problem with the game is the complete lack of innovation and development after 20 years.
Problem is, nobody knows, how the new generation should look like.
we beta tested for them for 20 years, all so they can learn how to keep us addicted and paying sub money
Like Dragonflight, me and my Guild log for main patches, get AotC, log off and wait for the next Raid
Lol, we have visible jewelry and accessories in FFXIV and no one complains about them. We even have cosmetic ones that can be glamoured on.
Does Bellular even play the game anymore in between his dooming content?
But, not having to actually play this game and still making money from it is kinda the dream.
I love that you’re talking in a normal volume here and not “turning it on”, feels a lot better to watch
As an American, I can assure you, we DO take this time of the year off (last two weeks of Dec) even if its in bits and pieces
Also as an American, we don't. My company blacks them out. We're not allowed to.

@@Snuzzled i guess it depends on your job. there are many people who have to work on xmas day
yea tbh taking time off this time of year is only something a really nice company will allow u to do. and most of the time its only if ur in a decent spot. if ur the worker bee gl ur working christmas
Haven’t even touched the patch don’t think I even will
The fact that this video didn't come out the day after the patch and instead waited a week after he got all his premade hype videos out says a lot more about his care of money than the state of the game.....
When companies make crap 💩 and people keep buying crap 💩 then logically they’re going to keep selling crap 💩. Oh and don’t go on their forums and try to call them out on it and give feedback because they will give you crap 💩 saying you hurt their feelings and delete your post or put you in time out 💩
I agree about this video format. It's nice and raw and honest. More of this would be good!
I think its great. I have geared out a large number of alts in a couple days.
Are you guys doing a livestream soon or lorewalking I miss them ?
As an ffxiv player rooting for you guys for things to get better.
@@uria2001 I respect that. 👍
Lots of smoke online for a minor patch around the holidays.
the bug with the boss is a shitshow, i worked through it and got all citrins.
but the rest is really not that big of a deal for a lot of players
Actually it was worse for me at 642 vs my 619 rings until they deleted the timegate for the gems so that felt bad but now it is an improvement with the other gems and brings up ilevel to make it a little easier getting into keys
I wish they did the Underlight Angler upgradable for each patch just requiring a grind or something
When are you guys going to start doing weekly streams again? I miss them :(

The achievements panel is used to track completion in GW2 and the community there is used to looking into it to figure out what all can be done.
There’s no way you sat through all of WoD and have an issue NOW
@@xXEndermanManXx I did have some issues, but I didn't feel like all bliz wanted was my money. They didn't have the non stop microtransactions at the time. WoD wasn't even close to being the worse, Cata took that cake, with Shadowlands close behind (both of those I never cancelled my sub but would only play a day or two a month).
@ I’ve found myself playing more and more since dragonflight came out. There’s definitely down time but I don’t really care cause it gives me time to play other games
They gave us ONE raid then announce the new xpac it’s like what’s the point now
@ what the hell are you talking about
One of many reasons I stopped playing World of Warcraft.
There is SO much to do in the game, just relax and enjoy, its a live game there will ALWAYS be bugs and there should be no end to the game hence chill trying to rush through the game.
guess we now accept mediocrity from billion dollar companies xd
@@rekoilS especially when you're paying for a sub and an expansion while soooooo many good games that are f2p x)
So what? It's hilarious to watch the dev team flail. 😂
You're trying to fix something that is unfixable.
This is your own fault if you think blizzard gives a damn
I love that you hype content, even if it’s not received well. When it boils down to it, a lot of us are here for the long haul. I’d much rather go into content thinking it’s going to be fun, because at least then when I’m let down I at least enjoyed it for a little bit before then. Negative content creators have me thinking it’s going to suck so bad that it’s hard to even log in, but I do, because we all do.
I made a cupa tea and washed some other bits while listening. I do like this form for that reason too.
Me with full time job and no ring yet 😐
Takes 10-20 minutes man
The Stal bug is non-existent on specific realms oddly. On Silvermoon it's horrendously bad, but on other realms the bug doesn't exist. I'm thinking it might be due to population attacking the boss simultaneously causing it to bug. Too many and it might bug out. With smaller groups it appears to work as intended.
@@nerdrooted well in that case blizz won't fix it

People keep making excuses for the game and thats why it sucks.
That quote about "people not thinking about you as often as you think they do" is from David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest, not Tony Blair originally
After all of this, I don't even feel bad about not playing for the last several weeks
This is the stuff that has driven me and my friends back to Classic. Retail does not spark joy beyond a new expansion release. 😢
Tanking it by the entrance works for getting it to drop, if you see the caving in message during the fight then you need to reset.
What you really want is our mandatory churned out, time-gated, dog slop arbitrary logged in time in order to qualify for the end game content.
so we are just gona mention a gem ui addon and not the name of it ? or is it a part of plumber and i just missed it last time i played ?
