27:50 the reason why you have keyboard icons instead of controller icons is because when you started up the game, you started it while using your kb/m at the title screen. I found this out when I was playing. You have to hit any button on your controller at the title screen first. Then it'll default to controller icons.
The main issue I'm seeing here is that because this is a From Software game Jon is treating it too much like Elden Ring. Armored Core is not a Souls-like, or even close to one; it's a spectacle fighter, like Bayonetta or DMC, and needs to be treated as such.
It’s not right stick to lock on, it’s right stick to toggle between hard lock and soft lock. You don’t need to press it again, and pressing it again actually disables the locking.
at this point I am starting to believe that this is all an act, I refuse to believe that someone as oblivious can beat act 1 boss by sheer button mashing alone
AND NOW, A CLASSICS JOKE THAT IS A STRETCH BUT I'M MAKING IT ANYWAY: clearly Jon won't really get into Armored Core VI: Fires Of Rubicon until they introduce a randomizer mod. call that the ol' alea iacta est
Day 1140 of requesting Zoo Tycoon. Jon having a background in advertising allowing him to justify his silly paint scheme is the kind of humor you just don't get anywhere else.
People late in stream saying "don't touch the right stick". I've played games like this before, it's a bloody hard thing to suddenly learn and it took me over like 8 hours worth of time to learn and I still slipped up. This stream did confirm to myself that I absolutely crave this game tho so I'm buying this in the near future for sure
I hope AC6 comes back for another livestream eventually, because the story picks up steam after this point, and because Jon hasn't jokingly made a comment about "clAyre" yet 😂
If you're not using a controller with extra reprogrammable buttons this game is basically unplayable so please do yourself a favor and get one if you haven't 😄 The good new is friend that the last boss you fought is not bullshit, you must simply git gud. Yes when you hard lock the camera does not keep the enemy on center screen if they're moving sideways quickly. However! All of your weapons will still hit on target and you simply need to trust the auto lock will keep you aimed on them. The only time auto lock breaks by itself is if the enemy has anti lock on jammer weapons (very very rare) or they fly directly below or above you as auto lock can't turn fast enough to track them, nor could soft lock aiming without using the quick turn function in OS tuning. Tap the movement stick left or right during an assault boost to dodge oncoming attacks, your defensive stats do increasing during an assault boost, but it is still best to dodge an attack if you'll have enough EN to reach the target. You should practice using the boost kick, you love ramming into people already and it just makes that tactic even stronger. In fact if you time it right you can ram into them and THEN kick so you get both hits of stagger damage! You definitely understand ideal stats because you constantly pick the META build with what parts you have available at every point in the campaign, that's by far the most important part to keep pushing through and please keep in mind if you're thinking about not finishing this remember that it's not as hard as Elden Ring if you're using the right build. You can do this Jon!
4:20:00 Welcome to AC6 Jon, where AC bosses are top quality and best fights ever while actual bosses are absolute the worst hot garbage one could find; BALTEUS is not nearly as bad as some late game bosses, not even close. Also you absolutely can dank on BALTEUS in melee, I know I did on my first playthrough in like 5 tries or something. K&M just superior to controller smh.
u realy need to read info on weapons lol, info tells u if u can use it on the move/in air or not, and alot other cocking info u NEED to know >_< and u definitly need to make the weapons work with ur playstyle. a shoulder laser that make u stop moving isnt realy a good choise if u dont play a super tanky AC ^_~

I geniunely hope Jon finishes Armored Core 6, I want to see him suffer with the other bosses

Actually, the water's about 10-15 feet deep, you're just in a 60+ foot-tall mech!

From soft games are always like that though.
BALTEUS is not THAT hard bruh.
John, I beat the whole first run with a melee build. It might be harder for certain bosses, but it is possible.
25:53 is when the Armoured core begins
Anyone else get the feeling that, after Jon's attempt at Le Transformers En Francais, he'll be sleeping outside tonight? 🤣
Hope he tries this more. The game really starts right after this. The customization that he’d like finally opens up in the coming chapter-ish

Man jon really was a skyrim guard the whole time.

That last boss was a returnal enemy.

Beat the game 3 times with a regular controller, regular control scheme. Just gotta practice.
The commentary was much more manic than normal, biop boop got to me, boop boop. Likely why I love his produced videos, not so much the streams.
If this doesn't come back then meh, I've hod a lot more fun watching Jon stream other things.
It's a shame this was post patch.

“Branding is more important than murder” should be the atf’s catchphrase
the opening troll
Slightly disappointed TBH, had this on my wishlist. At least I've been saved 40 plus quid and Jon is amusing to watch as always
