EXACTLY! this was so infuriating to listen to both Elaine & Amber’s response to the verdict as if either can speak for “all women victims”. no, I am a survivor & what set us back was what Amber did falsely accusing a man who didn’t deserve it. Now Elaine for acting as if it’s unanimous between all survivors of DV /SV etc

and finally men are seen also as victims of abuse. women already get it right but men are literally laughed at if they're abused by anyone, especially by a woman. I truly feel Elaine has ruined her career entirely after going on TV. No lawyer should ever do this on behalf of their client.

I think one of the things that makes this case so clear cut for me is that Amber DID have evidence, she had diligently, sneakily collated a huge trove of “evidence” and non of it showed Johnny to be anything other than an abused man and her to be his abuser! The fact that despite everything she tried to catch him, she ended up simply revealing herself!

Amber can't afford to file an appeal anyway, so please, be classy and walk away. We all saw her make a complete hash of her closing, we won't forget it and are now watching gaslight us just like her client did.

When Elaine said that Amber should not have had to testify about the supposed sexual assault, I thought back to how she described it. Describing it as if she didn't even know what was happening. Doesn't make sense. She just kept saying "I was feeling pressure on my pubic bone." I'm sorry, but every female knows when there's something in their vagina. You know. Unless you're paralyzed from the waist down, you feel it. Saying she was praying the bottle wasn't broken. If there's a broken bottle slicing up your insides, you know about it real fast. One of a thousand things that didn't add up in her testimony.

Agree. How can you not know what’s going on with the most sensitive part of your body? If she takes sleeping meds she wouldn’t fully know what she did, had done to her, or initiated. She can’t blame someone else if she basically roofied herself every night. Those meds are dangerous if someone takes “a lot” of them or even just 2. So if she goes along with things and doesn’t protest how would a man know he is off the rails. It is not fair to take those meds then blame someone bc of regret later. Lots of people take them but they can make a person a total zombie and shut off all inhibitions and self awareness. Shame on anyone that realizes that and manipulates someone taking those pills but people need to understand consequences of taking more than prescribed or too high a dose.

Yep. You wouldn't be able to keep yourself from screaming. You will 100% have to see a doctor when if it wasn't broken because a glass bottle being used in thay area with force would cause damage. It would hurt like hell and there's no way you wpkls just suck it up and never seek medical attention.

Is it just me or does anyone else finds that Ellaine is actually doing interviews like this to prove that she's a great lawyer but she lost because of bias? She's just trying to save herself, not for her client. She's afraid she won't get any clients anymore.
I would never hire her if I was a high profile client. She can't form a question that doesn't start with "What if anything...?" and when she does, it's weird stuff like focusing on muffins, dinner, and fame.

She’s hardly demonstrating her expertise as an American lawyer. Willfully misrepresenting the law and the rules of evidence, impugning the jury, even suggesting the UK’s legal justice system is better/fairer than America’s - I can’t believe she refused to take *any* responsibility at all for the loss. Just saying “I wish I’d saved more time from my closing statement for rebuttal” would have gone a long way to salvage her reputation. Instead she burned any goodwill people still had for her to come across as no more credible than her client.
Honestly, this is so sickening. They say that the evidence didn't come out. Enough evidence came out to prove her as a huge liar. This lawyer is as bad as she is.

Elaine doesn't know what she's talking about. I am a survivor of DV from back in the early '90s. I had no cell phone then. MY PROOF WAS WHEN THE POLICE ARRIVED AT MY HOUSE AND THEY SAW MY BEAT-UP BODY. The police didn't even call an ambulance to take me to the hospital, the police drove me there themselves because I was so severely hurt they didn't want to wait for an ambulance. I stood in court against my abuser and I won against him. If DV has been set back (according to Elaine) it's because of Amber's lying testimony in court. It's not because of the verdict.

the most annoying thing about them saying "imagine women who don't have documentation" when its just not comparable. she took pictures of EVERYTHING except for the aftermath of the abuse. she documented him sleeping, documented the place being in shambles, recorded him slamming cabinets. but not a single picture of herself after horrific things she described. she documented everything but her alleged bruises and broken nose and swelling.
like when she said he pummeled her face with a handful of rings on? She would have been hospitalized and JD would have been arrested for aggravated assault but NOTHING!

I can’t emphasise enough the absolute burning fury inside me after she said “a major setback for women”.
I burst into tears when I heard Johnny had won because this has given me some confidence to face my abuser in court knowing that evidence (and lack of evidence) as well as sincerity does prevail in a court of law. I can’t explain how scary it is knowing I’ll be in the same building as them let alone the same room.
As a real victim of domestic abuse I can honestly say the media spinning this as a “loss for women” is a vile and grotesque insult to the real survivors (of any gender) out there.

As a Survivor myself I honestly DO NOT see how the press is still backing Amber to me this is just a slap in the face of every abused person man, woman and child!! Me too! As a woman and a victim/survivor of DV AND child abuse. I'm sick of them using us as an excuse for their lies, agenda and the garbage they spew! Amber and now Elaine are the one's to blame for anything that happens as a result of the damage that Amber caused! I literally can not stand them. They do not speak for us period!!!

What I find most hilarious about Elaine doing interviews is that she accused ALL of Johnny's witnesses for wanting 15 minutes of fame and as soon as the trial is over SHE runs to the media! whereas all the other lawyers just did their job and went home. Also the witnesses that she accused have just gone on with their lives. She should have just been professional and let it go, I think the public would have been willing to forgive Elaine if the trial finished and she just said shed done her best, honestly I would have assumed Amber had lied to her lawyers and they just had to work with what they had, but now she's going on news channels and spewing the lies on her own time, now she'll be lumped in with Amber forever.

I find it unethical to have Elaine, a pathetic attorney, lying outright by still maintaining sexual abuse done to AH by JD. It was proven in a court of law by AH’s peers that she has been lying from Day 1. Looks like the narcissist found another lackey to do her dirty work. If there was ANY evidence at all of DV, Johnny would have been arrested and charged. This has not happened. This will never happen because Johnny is the survivor.

This makes me feel physically ill. Let me begin by saying I am a female survivor of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse by my ex-husband. His own mother was willing to testify against him. My opinion is coming from that perspective.
I have never been a Johnny Depp fan. I’ve never watched one movie he has been in. In fact when my teenaged son first told me what was happening I believed he probably did what she said. And then…
I started tuning in and watching the live footage every day. When JD spoke it literally connected with the pain that I have felt. The very way he sat, lowered his voice on certain points, etc. Everything in me was screaming for someone to help him.
When I watched Amber Heard I would literally tell my husband that I didn’t believe what she was saying. As an abused person I NEVER begged my husband to stay (when he was gone there was relief). As an abused person I NEVER taunted or provoked him, this would only lead to more abuse. In over 30 years my story has NEVER changed. Everything in me doesn’t believe her.
I have cried and wept for JD. I have rejoiced at his win!
I know my opinion doesn’t matter in the whole scheme of things, but I just needed to vent/get this off my chest.
I just want to see justice for real victims everywhere, whether man or woman.
You know I completely agree with you, when my abuser would leave, I felt better. He was on drugs also and I would give him money, (basically pay him to leave), to go get more drugs. I was always so broke giving him money, but I knew I was free for at least 30-45 minutes!!

I disliked Elaine the moment I first laid eyes on her. Even though I dislike judging someone hastily, she just oozes this type of character on every occasion - annoying, insincere and never admitting guilt. For me i think Ambers team reaction is so damaging for real victims. Saying “you won’t be believed like Amber” is so much more damaging. What they should say is “keep fighting, like Amber who will appeal”. The message matters Elaine! The way her team are trying to spin this result is disgusting. Also the uk case and the us are not the same Elaine. After the uk Johnny knew the only way to exonerate himself was to show that the main witness is a liar. Which he has now done. Domestic violence involving men is the most under reported in the US. My son was in a domestic violent relationship for 8 years. He did not want to say anything because he was a man. It’s time for men to speak out!!! I am glad that Johnny did.

Personally, I can't stand another seemingly cascade of lies coming out of Elaine, AH, or her team. They need to stop acting like anything they're doing or saying has anything to do with REAL Victims of Abuse. They are the only thing setting Women and/or other Abuse Survivors back, in my opinion. It is absolutely disgusting that they are coming out and defacing the jury, the lawyers, Johnny Depp, the entire Justice system, and all the people who watched the trial, weighed the evidence, and fell on the side of Johnny. If there was abuse that is truly reprehensible, however rather than look for ways to leverage it to raise her own profile she should have been concerned with actually documenting it properly, pressing charges, and getting medical attention in a timely manner. I realize that many abuse victims are in situations where these are not viable options, but Amber Heard clearly saw any abuse that may have occurred as an opportunity and allowed it to continue when she easily could have taken her alleged broken nose and bleeding area to the hospital. Really angers me that they want to twist this into a cultural issue rather than a battle between to people. The fans have nothing to do with her lack of evidence and her multiple exposed lies.

I gave Elaine sympathy back in the Elaine crying video by Andy and James, it's tough Elaine was just doing her job, she has a tough client that is AH, etc. Now I completely regret and retract my take. This is disgusting she is basically gas lighting the jury, the judge, and basically everyone who watched the trial, changing the story, and blaming everyone for their loss.
Also, NO! This will not affect ACTUAL victims, in fact I think this trial actually brings light to the awareness of actual abuse and we have to take it seriously because the victim is JD not AH. The only one that this trial has a negative impact on is AH herself because she is the abuser who made false allegations and we call her out and show that there are consequences for lying and destroying other people's lives.

He made a great point. I was in a abusive relationship that I was able to free myself from around 6 years ago. I noticed during the trial it was always amber who made my anxiety rise, even my adrenaline during the laughing recording where she would just poke and laugh and egg him on. I was shaking I was so upset as it brought back so many old horrible memories. That's exactly what my abusive ex would do. She brought out fight or flight in me when I was only watching on TV. She had all the signs of an abuser and my mind and body reacted so subconsciously and negatively to her. She makes me very anxious just to hear her speak. She was the trigger

It shows how weak and incompetent a lawyer Elaine is. If she could be overpowered or controlled by a client (young F-lister actress) who didn’t study Law, not super rich, not that famous, with average look w/o professional makeup, doesn’t seem that intelligent, without moral compass - and Elaine still doing her bidding shows Elaine is such a weak character without an iota of integrity, allowing herself be like a slave to AH’s narcissistic whims.
What sticks in my mind the most is watching the interview with Rihanna when she undramatically (but powerfully) talks about her experience of abuse from her ex. She is NOT an actress and is 100% believable and had me reduced to tears watching her face and hearing her underplayed account of her REAL abuse. This is one of the clips that Heard is accused of miserably trying to copy. I also liked how body language experts like "The Behaviour Panel" explained exactly why we don't feel empathy for Heard. Reasons something like .. we have a natural, inbuilt body/face language instinct that unconsciously knows when someone is acting/putting on a 'sad face' just with their downturned mouth .. when the real emotion involves completely different facial muscles etc .. very interesting and informative. Also gave me even more respect for Rihanna, as in her police photos her face was horribly beat up, but she never went out of her way to put CB down or badmouth him .. just downplayed her own suffering, but undramatically spoke up genuinely, as her duty for other young girls that may be affected if she didn't.
Also her comment from her script that says, "There are two trials going on" is exactly what Shapiro said during and after the OJ Simpson trial 🙄. God these people are disgusting

My honest thoughts are that I think THEY ARE SLEEPING TOGETHER-the lawyer and the client. I mean, if you truly believe the lies of a proven, well, liar (and proven in court nonetheless) and is basically campaigning “innocence” for this narcissistic liar, then you’re either wanting more than 15 mins of fame or sleeping with the client, or you’re nuts yourself, or all of the above. I am a SA victim. I watched AH testimony and NEVER was I EVER triggered. Her acting was so bad, her lack of tears, her facial expressions, it was all just off-putting, NOTTRIGGERING!
That may be true for you as an SA survivor. But as a DV survivor with actual PTSD, it did trigger certain emotions in me. It was her sense of dominance, that smirk and her demeaning talk/gas lighting. It brought up feelings I thought I’d moved passed. I’m sort of glad for it though. As it gives me the opportunity to continue working on myself. I’m glad it didn’t affect you in a negative way. Here’s to bettering ourselves and supporting others. ✨❤️✨

If anything, I felt like she was the abuser in the relationship. I actually related to JD's testimony, I could see myself in his place with the gaslighting and insults from her. AH frustrated and angered me. How dare she make up stories when real victims are going through this everyday!!
I felt the same way, listening to all the things she did to him., the way she wouldn't let him leave etc, then saying the things she said, I remember how crazy I thought I was going once because of someone like her. The way she smirked was so vile to see. I hope in some way this case has helped others, maybe realise certain signs etc. And just because it's a female, does not mean it's not serious. People like her are dangerous, and I hate to think what could have happened if he hadn't left her when he did.

I went back and read AH article to ensure I understood the context of the suit. Although JD’s name was not mentioned, she clearly articulated that she suffered ‘domestic’ abuse and her timeline of the abuse and repercussions placed JD as the abuser. I now see how the article was directed towards him. As well, AH admitted that she wrote the article with him included as an abuser. Therefore, her testimony and inconsistencies became relevant towards the verdict. Free speech does not include hate speech or false speech.
The only thing I was disappointed about when the judge read the verdict is that she didn't finish by saying "Did I read that right Mr. Rottenborn?"

Elaine said that the court being public made a DV survivor have to testify on tv for the first time. She’s right, Johnny Depp did it. Solidarity and respect for all true survivors.
She wasn’t believable. She lied on the stand. She initially said the op Ed wasn’t about Johnny then on redirect admitted it was about Johnny. The jury noticed that among many other inconsistencies in her testimony. In the end, the jury didn’t believe her.
I’m a domestic violence survivor where my ex husband was arrested and charged. It’s about credibility and the credibility of witnesses. I don’t think this is a setback for DV survivors. If anything, this is a level up for male DV survivors. Now the public has acknowledged and support ALL DV survivors, whether male or female.
So Elaine can’t even hide her dark circles and bags but amber apparently hid a whole ass so-called fight scene that happened on her face? 🙄
I didn’t like her through the whole trial. She’s rude and lacking in so many ways as a lawyer. She has solidified my opinion that “like attracts like”. She’s just like Amber, betraying herself with consistent contradiction and willing to hurt others with lies to save face for her own selfish gain. This is how lawyers become corrupt. There’s not enough negative things to say about how unbelievably wrong it all is.

That's my question. To me it came across that she was basically saying that maybe any or some of the 7 jurors may have perjured them selves in thier decision towards the verdict. They were unanimous towards Johnny. Amber even got some compensation..i'm left wondering what's the real problem they won't let it go? Especially as Amber claimed she wanted nothing & to move on.?

For most liars, lying is a lifetime strategy for controlling other people--forcing them into a virtual reality that leaves them feeling duped and empty when inevitably a better approximation of the truth catches up. The liar in a relationship often counteracts with "You never understood my feelings," which begs the retort "How could I--you lied about them most of the time?"
Had a lot of sympathy for Elaine when heard she was crying at the court house and figured she also was a victim of Amber's craziness, now loosing that last bit of respect for her. I get her speech is protected During the trial, but court was over. The case was done and verdict was in. Her statement continues the defamation.

My heart was made so full by all the support that I've witnessed from women for Johnny during this trial, as a rule the main users of internet services are men at about 80%, however, during the last six weeks I've seen so many women during live streams on this channel and others, which has renewed my love and trust in women with even the monetary support they have given like a defacto support for Johnny and the abuse he has suffered. There are bad women just like men who abuse their partner or even spouse, and I'm so happy that the average civil woman who is not caught up in the craziness and man hating feminist movement recognise this.
She really isn't anyone that I would want to tell my story! I had evidence beyond measure ....but I wouldn't want her to tell my story bc she was okay with defending a liar

As a survivor of DV/DA, AH's audio and manipulated photos brought back horrible memories of my own situation. Kim brought up great points about a person's credibility. People who knew me and my passive nature knew I was not the instigator, just like people who really knew JD, knew he was not the instigator. How many people showed up for AH. One, her sister. That says a lot. One thing the police told me is they couldn't take past incidents into consideration. They had to go by what happened the day I called them. Because of that, they were not able to see the escalation of incidents. I applied for a protective order after I was sent to the emergency room after one rage event. For me, JD's emergency room visit for his finger points to the relationship beyond extremely toxic and way out of control. Thank goodness JD got out before something worse happened. I pray for his continued healing.
If Amber hadn’t already been relatively specific with the SA allegations publicly I would actually agree with Elaine that Amber shouldn’t have had to testify that aspect on camera. That being said, Amber had no problem putting that information out there before, just when it’ll impact the public opinion of her negatively.
The common theme I'm seeing from women everywhere is that Elaine spinning such story in this way is actually making us feel sick. I too feel physically ill listening to this and I know I'm only one of many.
A HUGE number of posters believing JD were as abused. AH did not resonate with them. Also so many legal analysts started out thinking JD had almost no chance of winning defamation but gradually changed as the trial proceeded. Elaine and her client and witnesses were not credible. Period
