As a male survivor of domestic violence, the thing that pissed me off was the statement Elaine claimed Heard made. "I am so sorry to all those women out there, this is a setback to all women". This wasn't about being a woman, this was about trying to prove the victimhood of domestic violence. Goes to show that this was not about the truth but to say that the only truth is the one told by women.
My mom LOVED to fight men she was with, she instigated every single time, she KNEW back in the day if she called the cops, they’d believe her no matter what. It pissed me off so bad. I watched her damn near slice her ex in half with a grill lid by swinging it at him 2x shirtless & she wanted me to tell the cops “you seen him coming at me”… NOPE, love ya but nope! I refused to lie for her to get away with that. She did it to everyone she came in contact with & had some real issues.. I can’t make excuses for her bc she’s responsible for her actions (now deceased), but it seems some folks have what’s called “Adult Reactive Attachment Disorder” which is RAD in a LOT of children usually seen in foster care… they have all these exact ways most of the time when they have issues.
Either way, it should not be a HE or SHE thing, it’s a right & wrong thing & I’m glad here in NC the cops don’t fall for the “woman is always right”.. but when I was abused & TRIED to defend myself bc I was up by my throat on a wall- the cops said “if we arrest him, we have to arrest you too”. So there’s no happy medium in the law. I was going to go to jail for trying to get out of a choke hold & swinging & not even hitting my ex at all. But the swing itself made me just as guilty in the cops eyes. So I had to deal with it or go to jail- even with marks all over me & my ex only had toothpaste on his hand. Smh
Exactly that pissed me off so much. As if women don't have the capability to lie. This narrative about believe all women is ridiculous how about investigate all allegations before believing someone be it a man or a woman. That used to be our mindset until this toxic narrative that women are oppressed by men and everything they do is play a victim. Thank God Johnny Depp won justice is served.

Time and time again she would start fights(verbal and physical) with whatever man she was with and expected us kids to have her back any time the police got involved. I was extremely young so I agreed but as time went on my siblings all left the house and my mother found herself without a man to use as a punching bag. Unlucky for me I guess that I would then be her source of frustration venting when I was only 10. This went on for 7 years until I had enough and decided to not let her beat me without at least an attempt to leave. She called the cops and claimed I had thrown her down the stairs and kicked her while she was on the ground. I got arrested and held in jail for 3 days until it came to light that what really happened. She had me by the hair with one hand and was punching my head with the other, I ripped(literally was bleeding from the ammount of hair she ripped from my head) myself away and ran to a friends house. I have never gone back and she to this day holds fast to her story of never beating me and that I assaulted her. Unfortunately believing women is the standard from every experience I have had and I am so happy to see the movement the world is making to actually believing the truth.

My favourite thing here, is the fact that she is now going on TV for interviews pretty much proves the TMZ guy right that she took the case on for her "15 minutes"
The best part is he wasn't even directly accusing her of trying to get her 15 minutes of fame. He just said that it could hypothetically be true as a rebuttal to her directly accusing him of that.
You forgot that Amber Heard stated in court that she wrote the Op Ed about Johnny Depp. She admitted it in court.
She claims the jury was “confused”? Wasn’t her job to make sure the jury wasn’t confused? She’s a horrible attorney.

They are just sore loosers and just trying to shit on Johnny and there is Elaine's distain for Johnny she screwed up and and lost this case then Amber lied her face off and gave such a performance these 6 weeks that she wasn't believed by very many and Elaine's hate for Johnny that she blamed him for everything then it's the media's fault no its the lawyers who weren't good enough to beat out Johnny's lawyers and they lost. Quit blaming everyone and everything on someone else. The judge asked the jury not to see the media's views so you have to respect the jury and that the jury did as they were told to so Elaine try somewhere else to view your thoughts to somebody who cares it's over get over it take the blame for losing this case

I started watched this trial by pure accident. I like crime shows and live court. As a Dv & SA survivor I was flabbergasted at her testimony. You don’t get SA’d with a broken bottle and walk away without treatment. The jury was smart and were able to discern fact from fiction. My own two cents 😌
I love how camille got her to verbally admit the op ed was about him specifically and everyone completely chooses to not talk about it, her case was over the minute she said those words

I watched the entire trial. My hubby and son are both trial lawyers. This lawyer had more objections bc she was so desperate and someone needs to teach her how to push the microphone button.
Elaine was so poor I cringed!
Pretty much with this, Amber’s attorney is wanting courts to post up jurors in hotels or something and to isolate them entirely from the world because their families could research the case, etc with big cases like this and to have people with no inherent knowledge or bias.
This trial went on for what, 6 weeks? That is never going to happen in a million years. Pretty sure Jurors would not want to essentially be locked away from their families because some 2 bit lawyer got salty she picked an obvious abuser to defend and lost big time.
Even falsely stating that Johnny sued Amber in the UK, because they both live in America.
The do sometimes lock jurors away for cases. Not for social media reasons but safety reasons

As a woman who has witnessed and experienced abuse it’s genuinely fucking insulting that Amber is using her gender as a shield from the fact she’s a domestic abuser. If there has been a setback, it’s for actual victims who will now struggle to be believed as a direct consequence of Amber’s behavior.
*ETA I specifically said victims and not women because DV and abuse can happen to everybody. The one thing that made me happy about this trial is that it is spotlighting men can be the victims and should not feel afraid or ashamed to say so and seek help*

I work at Best Buy as a customer service phone person, I pretty much can take appointment, check stock, etc.. when people call in and ask me questions the geek squad stuff, I'm out of my league and have to give the phone to someone else because it's out of my league and It's way over my head. This is how I feel about Elaine. I feel like she's a customer service rep in a room full of very smart people

I completely believe that this is something Johnny would have told his assistant to do. I was in a similar relationship and I would tell him anything to get the fighting to stop. Even if I knew I was in the right and he was wrong I would apologize and say I was wrong to get him to stop yelling. When you live in this kind of war zone you pick your battles so you can have some peace.

What IS bad for women is Amber Heard opening up her mouth. She made up a story and contradicted herself, bc she fucked up the details. I was a Juror in a criminal trial, somehow I didn't look up the trial/defendant/witnesses and skipped watching the news/etc. It's not that hard to avoid, even high profile.
She literally said that this trial will teach people going forward that unless they have evidence, they won’t be believed. That’s the entire premise of the Justice system!!!! How did she pass the bar!?!?
I say the same thing about my brother who a nurse. I figured it out. Some people are good at learning & taken test. They don’t even have to study and they get an A but they usually lack common sense & Wisdom. These are the folks who knows everything but don’t know nothing

Literally nobody is saying that abuse victims should not be heard, but unless the case has been successfully litigated in court then all news articles and publications need to keep the parties involved anonymous. The problem is that the UK justice system is corrupt and The Sun and other newspapers have had carte blanche to print whatever they please for a very long time. That is why the first lawsuit failed.
That article was never about having Amber's voice heard, it was all about getting Amber's face seen to boost her career. It was a cynical and calculated move and justice has finally been served.

Was watching a panel of lawyers, behavior analysts etc. & they said that Amber initially denied to testify in the UK trial, then changed her mind & contacted them to testify. Apparently Amber & her sister Whitney sat in the courtroom for the entire UK trial bc they asked to!! Then AH turns around & says Johnny won’t let her live her life?? Really? She went out of her way to watch him in a court case she wasn’t a party in imo bc she wanted to see him suffer. It’s a continuation of her psychological abuse.

At first I felt sorry that she had to defend a hopeless case like Amber Heard, but after hearing this interview, I began to think that she equally deserved hate. Like her client, she is insulting the intelligence of the jury and the public who heard the audio tapes, saw the evidences, and listened to the testimony. She is pointing fingers at everyone, except for herself of course. But what pissed me off is when she essentially said that all women who come forward with their accusations of domestic abuse should always be believed even if it is without proof. Are you for real? See if the people will believe and be on the side of you.” The audio recordings exhibited through out the trial are very different from the scenarios she fabricated to make her a victim of sexual violence. She lied and was not supported by any photo and any medical examination when she physically got hurt on that horrific bottle rape incident she told. I can’t really believe how she can be such a liar under oath. She committed perjury. This lawyer was trying to prove they have proven such abuse, but they failed. She’s trying to fight for it until now because they never get anything from the $100 million counter lawsuit. That’s a big disappointment for them. It’s all about the money they are after. When our son became a teenager, he began abusing me...mainly physically. As a result, I was afraid to be in the same house, but because my ex had isolated me from friends and family, I didn't have anywhere to go.

She said that the Op Ed didn't mention JD by name, yet Amber clearly admitted in court that she wrote the Op Ed, because she was a "victim" of domestic abuse, who in the first did she accuse of abusing her, it was Depp, so there is no denying that fact that the Op Ed was about Depp. And the next one, Amber admitted in court that it was because of Johnny that she wrote the Op Ed, so defamatory piece was in fact targeted at Johnny.
Also the Judge that handled the case of The Sun vs Johnny Depp, specifically requested that he be appointed to Judge the case, and later on it was revealed that the Judge or his relatives have interests invested in The Sun. Hence the case in the UK was unfair.
Amber's team can't use the UK trial as evidence for the defamation case against her, because first of all it was The Sun vs Johnny that happened there. 2nd the Amber vs Johnny was different, because Johnny was suing Amber for the Op Ed that she wrote, in the UK trial Johnny sued The Sun for the article that they've wrote. Two different cases, none of which are related to Amber vs Johnny.

It’s my experience, as a registered nurse for the last 20 years, that the exact opposite of what Elaine is implying is true.
ALL the evidence of domestic violence is present and very distinguishable. The hard part is getting the victim to acknowledge that they are experiencing this form of abuse. I have NEVER witnessed the opposite.
The “mountains” of photographic evidence that was produced did not substantiate one single claim of the violent acts that Amber described. Period. Individuals I have cared for that have sustained the level of abuse that Amber described have eyes swollen shut, damage to teeth, facial fractures, dislocated jaws, busted ear drums, you name it. You can’t cover up these injuries with makeup and ice.

Elaine Bredehoft should be disbarred for so many reasons. For one, lawyers aren't supposed to criticize jurors once the case is over- UNLESS, there were objections brought up during the trial. Lawyers can't accuse juries of crimes (such as violating a judges instructions to NOT look at social media) with NO proof they actually did anything wrong. Elaine is also peddling a TON of lies about evidentiary procedures and alleging biases that didn't exist (and denouncing biases that WERE present). Her entire narrative about the UK trial is also blatantly untrue. She claims that ALL the evidence was allowed in the UK trial and "we won", when that is absolutely not true. For one, "we" weren't being sued and for another, Depp was NOT allowed to admit ANY evidence in his defense of the lies against him. The UK trial was a sham, EVEN THOUGH, The Sun did NOT have to prove their article was true- all they had to do is claim they were reporting "news", which unfortunately, can be anything that is making the rounds in the public square. AMBER put that false info into the public square, so any news agency can legally report it without being charged with malice. The Press can claim ignorance of the truth, even if they know the truth- because someone else propagated the narrative. That 'someone else', is Amber, therefore AMBER can be sued- because a liar cannot claim to believe the lies that they intentionally fabricate. A lie is something one says that they KNOW to be untrue, so in this case- Amber is a liar and paid the price for it (not enough in my book, for the magnitude of the lies and destruction they caused).
You can watch Elaine's face and body language as she tells these tales and clearly see that she knows she is lying. When she's lying you can tell by how her mouth looks when the lies are coming out- her lips don't respond naturally as they would if she was telling the truth. It's like her mouth is agonizing over what she's saying- as if her mouth knows that all these lies will be debunked as soon as she's done spewing them.

I've lost all respect for Elaine Berdenhoft after this interview. Does she understand that for 6 yrs. the public were biased against JD because they believed the lies of AH? It's one thing for AH to lie on the stand and for a lawyer to try to give her a defense, though she didn't have much to really work with. I felt actually sorry for EB briefly, but with this response I've lost all respect for EB too. She's lying as much as her client was. I'm now sickened by her. AH admitted on the stand 1) I am here because my ex husband is suing me for an op ed I wrote. 2) I wrote the op ed because JD is a powerful mand and had such a following. She admits she wanted to bring him down.
She should just have said, the jury ruled, we don't agree with the ruling, we plan to appeal, instead of implying the judge and jury were biased and the case rigged. Is she actually accusing the jury of doing what they were charged NOT too simply because they ruled against her client. There were jurers who were let go because they looked at social media or discussed the case. There was no confusion in the jury, is EB insane? The op ed didn't need to mention JD by name. By saying that 2 years ago I became the victim of.... she iomplied JD. If she had stated she grew up in DV she would have been fine.
Basically AH demonized herself. She has a pattern of abuse from previous relationshiphs. She was jailed overnight for assulat charges that were dropped. She threw her sister down the stairs, she might even have a voluntary manslaughter charge as a minor. AH lied on the stand, and falsified evidence. If anyone created a set back for women victims, it was AH herself and her lawyers for lying for her. AH was so obviously lying because nothing was substantiated. The medical records were non existent for injuries. The audio from australia shows her claims were bs. I agree they should have sighted her childhood abuse and how she would avoid reporting based on patterns. She failed to mention that AH refused to hand over her cell phones and records to the court.
EB basically threw the judge who was very far under the bus and the jury too. Because they ruled against her client the jury definitely It was rigged, can you even be serious? She's said this about the judge in her jurisdiction and a jury. IF any evidence wasn't admitted was 1) there was none 2) or the evidence they had was presented and it wasn't convincing but falsified 3) the evidence they tried to enter didn't meet the qualifications for evidence in the US.
JD took a suit against the Sun not AH. Plus the judge's son was working for the sun, and his wife was a friend of ambers. The judge literally ruled on only amber's testimony. She could be up for purjering herself on the stand and stating she gave the $7 million to charity. EB wants her 15 min. of fame right. She thought taking the case because there was a precident of winning in the UK AH testimony would hold as much here.
AH bought a 15 million dollar house recently, she has a million dollar house in the dessert and 3 penthouses that she got from JD in the divorce settlement. She may need to liquidate something to pay JD. AH is not a VICTIM, she is an abuser, and the jury found her guilty of defamatory malice against JD.
Plus the UK trial was rigged, the judge's son worked for the sun, his wife was friends of amber and he didn't allow JD to enter lots of evidence and awarded the sun on ambers testimony with no evidence. We all saw the trial, stop gaslighting us EB, go home and be quiet. You are lying as much as your client.
I had felt a little sorry for her as well. After this interview and the one on CBS This Morning. Hell no.

And there's a bit of irony that loops back from Elaine's words. When you look at her whole spiel what comes out is that public opinion sunk her trial, however whats funny the case that Johnny just got out of was based under the assumption that Amber's words swayed public opinion into hating him or canceling him.
Do you get what I'm saying? They sat on the stand for 6 weeks saying "Oh that could never happen because Johnny was a known drunk, a drug user, and wife beater..." all things that would never come up in public opinion without Amber's words in the Op-Ed and now they're saying "Public opinion was swayed from the getgo against Amber and the court case was rigged."
You can't have it both ways where you know that public opinion is powerful and the be all end all yet post shit to ruin another's life, and still have grounds to say "poor me, my defenses and my life were broken due to hurtful/truthful words." Which is it? Because either way, you lost. You spent your money while eyeing another score
